Fourteen Lottery Systems Under Investigation

Fourteen lottery systems in Citadel Space have been temporarily shut down pending multiple suspected racketeering investigations by core Gaming Control Officials from each affected governmental state. The shutdown was initiated following multiple simultaneous drawings with the same repeated pattern.
The number sequence “4615367” has been identified as showing up in over thirty regional, national, and planetary lottery drawings, most notably the Hyetiana Republic Ultrafish and Kentucky State Lotteries, whose jackpots had recently breached the 100,000-credit level. Identified offenders without seven-digit systems featured the sequence either truncated or repeated as necessary to preserve the pattern.
“It’s brazen,” said Lucas Merryweather, a representative for the Kentucky State Lottery & Gaming Control Commission. “The sheer amount of coordinated manpower needed to influence drawings on such a galactic scale is, well, frankly both astronomical and astronomically insane, given that we’d have to shut them all down afterward. One’s left to wonder whether this simply a scam or a veiled statement of intent.”
Early speculation that the simultaneous drawings were a coincidence have been scornfully dismissed.
“It’s patently absurd, even beyond the usual lottomania,” said Hennik Kylm, a statistical mathematician of Irune’s Hablin Nom Neurology Institute. “The chances of something like this happening by chance…well, it’s like statistical mechanics, you could see the heat death of the universe sixty times over before it happened.”
Players with winning numbers in the affected regions have been requested to retain their receipts until the matter has been fully investigated.
