I signed up for an Ipsy glam bag subscription, which came for the first time today. It’s $10 a month, and each month they send you a bunch of beauty products in a makeup bag. You don’t get to pick your stuff, but you do get to take a big quiz to tell them your preferences and colors and traits - it’s really obvious that this one is tailored to me (more skin care than makeup; eyeshadow is one of the only makeups I use semi-often; curly hair; the kinds of smells I like).
I LOVE the makeup bag, it’s kinda perfectly “me.” The dreamsicle stuff smells amazing, and did even through the package when it arrived, since the heat had softened it up a bit. I’m sure we’ll use the sunblock and eyeshadow eventually. The other two items, I’m legitimately interested in trying. I’m also pretty impressed with the sizes of everything, as I was afraid they’d all be tiny samples.
Especially given that I have a sister and teenage daughter I can pass stuff on to, it’s worth continuing for the price :) They are not paying me or anything, FYI. Although Ipsy, if you’re reading - please consider paying me :p
Here is my lip swatch of the Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass lip + cheek stain that was in my July Ipsy Glam Bag!
This stain wonderfully pigmented and tastes like strawberries! Though it does take a bit of work to get an even, smooth look to your lips, it takes no more effort than a usual stain does. I always love red stains, and even though I already have a nice collection of them, this one will be a part of my makeup routine for sure. ❤️
My October Ipsy Glam Bag. To learn more on how to sign up to get 5 surprise items, each month, click the picture. This month I got a Coastal Scents eyeshadow brush, Bella Terra Mineral Cosmetics in “Emotion,” Nourish Organic Coconut and Argan Body Lotion, Zoya nail polish in “Neve” and Style Sexy Hair Spray Clay. Love it all! ♥ ♥ ♥
My Ipsy bag came in!
May’s theme was “Fresh Picks” and the bag included was an adorable canvas bag with a green leaf pattern. New clutch alert :)
First off, I do have one complaint this month and its just minor; the brush included is a bit rough and it hurt the first time I used it. Use a very light hand with this one. But I do have to say, Im extremely excited that I got the brush as Im trying to expand my collection.
The eyeshadow duo from Pacifica is a lovely purple shimmer and white shimmer that I would love to pair together for a soft, daytime look. It went on the skin nicely, no problems with fallout, and is fairly pigmented. You also get a healthy dose of the stuff so don’t be worried about having to save it for a special occasion.
I also received a Nail Polish from Nailtini in “Champagne”. Thank you, Ipsy. I love when you send me things I actually want. This is a pretty golden color full of shimmer and its gorgeous in the sun. I will probably see if I can get a bit of a tan before I wear it though.
Speaking of tans, this month, a sunscreen was included in my bag from Coola “Hang Ten: Classic Sport” in SPF 50. Its water resistant for up to 80 minutes, lightweight, and non greasy. The scent is like your classic sunscreen, but not as powerful.
And my last product this month, and another huuuge thank you to Ipsy… I got a hydra-balance moisturizer from pur-lisse. Pur-moist is supposed to be for normal to dry skin and its good for sensitive skin with an anti-aging component.
Im 100% satisfied with this bag (my fourth).
This month I was very excited to get my Ipsy Glam Bag.This month was all about keeping a fresh face and a fresh look. Spring is all about starting all over and trying new things. Every product in my glam bag is new for me. I received 5 items. I pretty much received products that I can use for my hair and my skin. I really enjoy trying items that will help my skin and hair.
Products I received as shown above are:
1. Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask: Used the product the day I got it and hair felt soft after using it. Anything that has Argan Oil, my hair loves!
2.Jersey Shore Sun Sans Tan Anti-aging Sunscreen:Great size for my purse. Even though it is SPF 35, prevention is key! Never too late to use anti aging products either ;)
3.Boo-Boo Cover-up Concealer in Medium: My favorite product in the glam bag. The color matched me really good. I used a tiny bit on some problematic areas in my face and under the eyes and let me just say, Wow what a difference. Another plus, is that the product contains aloe, chamomile, green tea, tea tree oil and Vitamin E.
4. Pacifica Mineral EyeShadow Duo: Although they are eyeshadows, I really would use them as a highlight. The pigmentation was not the best I’ve seen so I would use this duo on more “natural” makeup days.
5.La Fresh Travel Lite Oil Free Makeup Remover Wipes: I was in need for some of this, so when I got this in the mail, I was super excited..hahaha. Also great to have in my purse.
Overall, I was happy for this month’s Ipsy Glam Bag. I almost forgot, the bag for this month was my 2nd favorite! I love the material and it’s totally my style. I’m a nature freak…hahaha
