Women in Voltron

So I’ve always loved the way women are portrayed in Voltron, but I only was recently able to put it into words. First off, I’d like to start with Pidge/Katie Holt)

So first off, she’s obviously very smart. Tech expert, learns languages in her down time, got into the garrison at a very young age. But what really makes her stand out from other smart women I’ve seen in media is that her knowledge and competence doesn’t come at the expense of others.

Pidge accomplishes plenty on her own, but she also works well with others. Without Hunk she wouldn’t have located the blue lion cave. Without Lance she wouldn’t have gotten the video game. She’s independent, but is still allowed to turn to others for help. This is a very positive model in media, where women are either portrayed as being 100% dependent, or 100% independent.

The team’s view of Pidge being a girl was also very well handled. They interact with her no differently after learning/ figuring out she is a girl, which is great in a society which is programmed to treat men and women differently. Case and point. In Crystal Venom when Hunk and Pidge are in zero gravity, Pidge tells Hunk to kick her. He responds, “What? No, we’re friends.” Not, “No, you’re a girl.” He respects her as a person, regardless of gender.

Last, but not least, Pidge is allowed to show vulnerability. This is a very important part of her character. She is very guarded in general, and isn’t the type to ask for a lot of help. But every once and awhile, she is allowed to cry, to break down, to need love and support. It’s very healthy for the show to give us both sides of her personality.

In comparison, there’s Princess Allura. She is a great contrast to Pidge, but they are also the same in some respects. To directly compare with Pidge on the personality level, Allura is much more open with her feelings and emotions. It is much easier to see when Allura is upset or afraid, but she is not portrayed as lesser for this. On the contrary, her emotions are one of her greatest strengths. They’re what guide her into action and help inspire the paladins. While Pidge relies mainly on logic, Allura is more intuitively guided. Yet both points help the team be more effective.

Secondly, Allura is very beautiful and feminine. She enjoys having her hair done by the space mice, says she likes sparkly things and flowers, and is directly pink themed. Yet she is never mocked or put down for being girly. Allura is allowed to be feminine in the same way Pidge is allowed to be tomboyish. It’s what they enjoy, and the team respects it. She is also never oversexualized or objectified because of her appearance. She is allowed to be beautiful and confident without exposing huge amounts of skin.

And lastly, Princess Allura is not afraid to suit up and kick butt. When she feels strongly about a situation (the Balmera, saving Shiro, taking down the druids) Allura is a force to be reckoned with. Once again, like Pidge, she doesn’t need permission to take action.

So there’s my little appreciation post for 2 of the awesome women of Voltron and what they stand for! I love the way their characters and development are handled and am excited to see more of it.

mp100 AgeSwap AU ideas/hcs?

I’ve had a lot of free time lately so I’ve been rereading the manga and having too much some fun thinking about terumob and this particular AU ahahhah

(So basically this is the AU where Mob and Reigen swap ages and mob is 28 and reigen is a spunky ass 14 y/o and the art I’ve seen of it is beautiful)

  • Adult!mob is probably a v serene and graceful guy in terms of personality, quiet, polite and super kind. Teenager!Reigen is dramatic and basically a very clumsy fella but it’s endearing, really
    • Mob fixes stuff that Reigen breaks in his office (“Sorry shishou I just wanted to test out this new football for a bit ya know”) or outside of school (“Hey shishou, I kinda ripped my pants today tryna’ do a split”)
      • Sometimes he uses his powers to fix things but other times he just uses his hands. It’s to remind himself that he doesn’t have to use his powers all the time to lead a proper, good life.
      • Tends to absentmindedly pat reigen’s shoulder or ruffle his hair while returning fixed stuff. intuition.
    • Mob isn’t one for physical contact with strangers but holds his clients’ hands when he senses real anxiety within them, or when they tremble and start to cry. takes everything seriously
    • Is Especially Soft when it comes to kids and little animals. Loves lil cats. almost cried during one assignment during which he had to exorcise a crazy cat lady spirit who possessed cats and left them hurt and confused. brought said cats to therapy after it was over.
  • You may think that Reigen who has Zero Psychic Intuition Whatsoever at this point in time has a hard time following mob but he’s super good at bullshitting his way through.
    • Is very, very good at talking. Mob was never good at that kind of thing, so he really appreciates a disciple who can talk some sense into some of the ghosts they meet (“Look, dude, you wanna live this kinda life forever? Scaring five year olds? What kind of pathetic existence is that? You’re a ghost, not a horror movie, you could literally do anything else”)
    • after a while of taking him as his disciple, Mob gives him a special kind of purified salt which has the ability to trap low-mid level spirits if used right. reigen gets really pumped and hugs the hell out of mob when he first receives it.
      • reigen gets overexcited sometimes so he kind of just sprinkles salt everywhere and doesn’t create a proper ring so it’s not that effective
      • but mob lets him do it anyway, he doesn’t mind

(omg, this got long - the rest under the cut)

I had a discussion the other day with an ENFJ, in which we “compared some notes” on how our intuition works, which may be useful in seeing how two strong intuitive functions work by comparison.

She tends to work by “filling in the gaps” (figuring out what is missing, and working backward to reason out the missing piece) whereas I tend to reach a similar conclusion, but through “expansion” (looking at the broader circumstances around it, and forming an intuitive perception).

Even though Ni-doms are most often credited as having the most frequent “aha!” moments… this happens to me all the time and her not much at all; she says she can “track back” how she formed her conclusions; whereas I accumulate external information in chunks which then slots into place and gives me not only an answer to “THIS” puzzle, but also “THAT” one over there – the point where I have gathered enough information / knowledge from various perspectives and/or sources automatically “slots” the information into place, and provides answers to a dozen or more questions; often, it’s a snowball effect with me – I’ll find one answer, then my Ne connects this information or conclusion with a dozen more in my mind, and a big, broad picture comes into focus.

I’m waiting for the information to appear to fill in the blanks; whereas she is actively focused on the blanks, and often draws the right conclusion in advance of the evidence. I cannot count the many times she has said, “I found more research today to support my earlier supposition,” or “I love it when I come up with a story idea and… there it is, in an obscure historical reference volume; a situation exactly like it.” With regards to history, sometimes she just “knows” something about someone before she finds it. This does not happen as much to me; rather, I tend to “wonder” about the externals, until I read information that clicks into place and fleshes out the larger picture. (Why did this happen in England? Hmm, don’t know. And then I read a biography of the Borgias, in Rome, and that explains why this happened in England.)

(Gif: Beth, Moonlight (CBS). ENFP.)

She tends to have ideas pop into her head, often fully fleshed out and detailed – whereas mine are abstract concepts / ideas without form other than a basic shadow, and I build them into complex characters, situations, and entwined situations as I go along. We both have trouble with too many characters fighting for dominance in our minds but I seem more capable of eliminating unnecessary plot lines, streamlining, and keeping the word count down (strong Te) whereas she’s much more interested in the motives behind situations and in amassing a complete understanding of them (Ti) before / as she moves forward.

I am also more fluid; my plots shift, change, and often wind up totally different than my original intention (the book I’m working on now, I was heading toward a dramatic resolution in a castle with a certain set of characters, and now … half the main characters I intended are gone, and most of the rest have undergone name changes, different professions, and no longer have the same motives as the first idea … halfway through the book; I seem to be revising and improvising as I go, coming up with “better” ideas and discarding old ones, consciously aware with each creative decision that I’ll have massive first half of the book rewrites going on – including introducing some characters earlier; but I’m just writing them in as I go, and will streamline later. Some of them don’t even have names yet, just ??? marks. LOL).

She tends to brood on things a long time (Ni) in an attempt to figure it out (Ti) whereas I require very little internalization to spit out a thought and rather often, do not like revisiting the same topics (Ne) except those that baffle us both from a logical perspective (the motives behind butchering history on screen is one of them). I change my mind, my approach, my opinions, and my ideas far more frequently than she does – but weirdly, am much more singularly focused when it comes to the drive to finish a creative project.

I guess my point is: intuition can often look alike from the outside, reach the same conclusions, and have strongly similar perceptions – but the internal process is quite different. I tend to admire Ni’s ability to “delve deep” and “see the truth,” whereas I’m sure they either admire or hate the Ne’s ability to spit out a profound thought with literally no forethought (just connecting external dots).

1) you mean on iscribble? bc otherwise i’m not sure what you mean….but no yeah feel completely free to join me if you ever see me on!! i don’t really announce when i’m on there though but yea, i have no problem drawing with followers ^__^;; maybe next time i’ll make a post ?

2) honestly, abel wouldn’t be happy abt it, but he’d let him go
buuut BM is just…way too caught up for that. he wants whatever abel can give him, even if it’s not Marriage TM…this boy is around for the long haul LMAO

3) it’s hard to explain, i just pick them intuitively at this point!  here’s some random skin colors i picked out..sometimes i use colors that you wouldn’t consider actual skin shades ie pink or dark blue but *shrug* putting diff colors really makes stuff pop imho

i’d also recommend color picking / getting color palettes off of pics of real people’s faces in natural/different colored lighting and try to replicate that

Soul and mind instantly lost their physical bondage, and streamed out like a fluid piercing light from my every pore. The flesh was as though dead, yet in my intense awareness I knew that never before had I been fully alive. My sense of identity was no longer narrowly confined to a body, but embraced the circumambient atoms. People on distant streets seemed to be moving gently over my own remote periphery. The roots of plants and trees appeared through a dim transparency of the soil; I discerned the inward flow of their sap.
The whole vicinity lay bare before me. My ordinary frontal vision was now changed to a vast spherical sight, simultaneously all-perceptive. Through the back of my head I saw men strolling far down Rai Ghat Road, and noticed also a white cow who was leisurely approaching. When she reached the space in front of the open ashram gate, I observed her with my two physical eyes. As she passed by, behind the brick wall, I saw her clearly still.
All objects within my panoramic gaze trembled and vibrated like quick motion pictures. My body, Master’s, the pillared courtyard, the furniture and floor, the trees and sunshine, occasionally became violently agitated, until all melted into a luminescent sea; even as sugar crystals, thrown into a glass of water, dissolve after being shaken. The unifying light alternated with materializations of form, the metamorphoses revealing the law of cause and effect in creation.
An oceanic joy broke upon calm endless shores of my soul. The Spirit of God, I realized, is exhaustless Bliss; His body is countless tissues of light. A swelling glory within me began to envelop towns, continents, the earth, solar and stellar systems, tenuous nebulae, and floating universes. The entire cosmos, gently luminous, like a city seen afar at night, glimmered within the infinitude of my being. The sharply etched global outlines faded somewhat at the farthest edges; there I could see a mellow radiance, ever-undiminished. It was indescribably subtle; the planetary pictures were formed of a grosser light.
The divine dispersion of rays poured from an Eternal Source, blazing into galaxies, transfigured with ineffable auras. Again and again I saw the creative beams condense into constellations, then resolve into sheets of transparent flame. By rhythmic reversion, sextillion worlds passed into diaphanous luster; fire became firmament.
I cognized the center of the empyrean as a point of intuitive perception in my heart. Irradiating splendor issued from my nucleus to every part of the universal structure. Blissful amrita, the nectar of immortality, pulsed through me with a quicksilverlike fluidity. The creative voice of God I heard resounding as Aum, the vibration of the Cosmic Motor.

I read some of your retrospectives and while I agree with some of your arguments, you are reaching on many others. Let's take Sansa. Sansa is a prime example of a very well written character that evolves throughout the series, but you say she is a different character in every scene. I think it's natural that after her scarring, traumatic experiences she may not be in a perfect state of mind so yes she could be scared in one scene but angry and vengeful in the next. It makes perfect sense.

“Case and point, Sansa’s personality is so inconsistently penned that we’ve been referring to her as “The Sansa Stark Construct,” a collection of disparate characters that seem to come and go based on the needs of the scene. We fully admit that this began as a joke, but the more deeply we’ve thought about her arc in the last two seasons, the more appropriate it seems.

The Sansa Stark Construct began in “Mountain and the Viper,” when the famous ‘Darth Sansa’ sashayed down the stairs in her vampish attire, ready to kick ass and take names. This was supposed to be the same character who a season prior was joking with her prison-keeper husband about putting “sheep shift” into mattresses because she didn’t know the word “shit,” and who at the beginning of Season 4, made no active attempts to leave King’s Landing and was just randomly saved by a pop-up Ser Dontos.

A lot of people took this as her “pawn to player” moment in the show, except that throughout the course of Season 5, her characterization was scrapped in favor of the idiot who trusts Littlefinger’s word with the most illogical plan ever presented to any character in any text ever. Then things got weirder for her as following her rape, she began to liken herself to her abuser and tell Theon she wished she could have done the same to him. Even though Sansa was never a priority to the show, she was at least a deeply empathetic character.

We made our little jokes about “Asnas Krats” then, and others had called her “Fansa” (fandom convention for ‘fake’) or “Sonsa Stork” (Spanish for stupid), but we all still knew it was one character.

Then Season 6 came, and holy crap. In one episode, she’d be terrified to do something very basic for survival and needed to be hand held through the most basic courtly customs, and in the next, she’d be wearing lipgloss and wrestling letters away from her brother, dispassionately reading rape threats aimed at her. In one scene, she’d be telling Jon how he should have the Lord’s bedroom and trust him implicitly, but then in the next get a poo-face while he was declared king as she just sits there passively.

Yes, it’s all still “Sansa,” but there is absolutely no way to predict how she’s going to behave or react to any given event, since she can be written with an entirely new personality within the same episode. Kylie actually thought we were exaggerating the Brittany/Sandra distinction, but no: after spending two episodes sassing everyone and asserting her authority often and loudly, she became this completely useless window dressing who, whenever she did open her mouth, just made everything worse.

Sophie Turner is a very talented actor, and we give her props for her performance and trying to make this work. She really does almost sell it. But the fact is, if you had to write down Sansa’s personality traits in a list, we could provide with scene after scene that would counter each point. Unless you consider “redheaded” to be a personality trait.

Seriously, think about it: if you write down “compassionate,” we can point you to the scene where she screams at Theon or watches Ramsay be eaten by dogs. If you wrote “intuitive,” we could point you to the scene where she said the perfectly wrong things to Lord Glover and Lyanna Mormont, pissing both of them off. And so on.”

This isn’t the case of mood changes. This is a case of “her driving motivation and entire personality are in flux.”

Review: FaeintheForest on Etsy

I just wanted to leave a review for @thewitchofthenorse‘s etsy shop Fae in the Forest because I am absolutely in love with everything! Before even opening the package in the mail, you could smell how good everything was scented, and good smelling packages are always my favorite.

What I ordered:

Hand-Sewn and Hand-Painted Tarot Bag - $15 - The link doesn’t go to the one I purchased, because its no longer available, but you can see the one I purchased in the picture. Look how cute it is! This is really well made out of cotton, and closes with a drawstring. This is honestly one of the better quality tarot bags I have purchased, and I am super super happy with it. Its so cute, and fits my new oracle deck perfectly.

Yggdrasil series: Helheim Candle - $12 - The price on this one ranges from $8 to $15 depending on the size & style that you want. I opted for the 8oz jar candle, although the pillar candle is absolutely beautiful looking (see below - picture used from shop). As advertised it smells like wintergreen, pine, lavender and cypress. All four scents play together perfectly and are well balanced, and it 100% smells like my mom’s backyard and I love it. Added bonus: scent is boyfriend approved.

Mermaid Self-Care Kit - $26 - This kit is basically everything else shown in the picture, minus the crystals. The bath salts (which are much more blue then shown in the picture, my camera is awful) smell divine, and while I haven’t had a chance to use them yet, I am super excited to. They are scented with lotus, cucumber, jasmine and seaweed and smell lovely. I am waiting for my foot to heal up before jumping in the bath with these, so I can take a nice long soak! On to the salt scrub! I cannot express in words how much I love it. I used it last night in the shower, and got out with super fresh, smooth and quenched skin. Its not overly abrasive at all like some salt scrubs are, and it smells delicious as well. Super recommend it! As for the lip butter/balm, I opted for honey and almond scent, and as you can see, I have already put it to good use. This stuff is suuuper smooth, and smells delicious, and keeps my chapped lips hydrated. I am a lip balm junkie, and a huge fan of this stuff already. The boyfriend loves it too, and keeps trying to steal it from me, so I may have to order another in case it gets swiped by him, lmao! On to the seashell candle! I love this! Its super cute, and honestly bigger then I expected it to be! I haven’t burned it yet, but non-burned it still smells wonderful! It went straight to my dresser next to a few of my other shells. Last but certainly not least is the little wood bracelet with charm, which is really lightweight, but fits perfectly! Its stretchy, so it goes on and off easily! If you have super tiny wrists, it may be a bit loose, but I don’t expect this not not fit anyone or be too tight because of the stretch it has.

Bonus - Raw Rose Quartz, Celestite Crystal and Rose Incense - Sierra’s intuition is on point knowing to pick these two crystals as little bonus extra’s because they are some of my favorite crystals. I adore them! She also included rose incense as another bonus, because there was a little snafu with USPS (which is totally not her fault, USPS just was being lame) and she totally didn’t need to include it, but she did. The incense isn’t pictured because I already burned it before I took the picture. Woops. Sorry not sorry. It smelled awesome.

Thats it! I think I got everything! Thank you @thewitchofthenorse for being a lovely human on top of creating outstanding products! 10/10 will purchase from again and I love everything. Definitely go check out and follow her etsy, and maybe purchase a few things! She has a bunch of kits and candles and crystals to choose from! <3 Link is below!

Galra!Keith Headcanon #1

So I was thinking of Galra!Keith. And this thought came to mind.

The Galra are a species that are more animal-like than human. Sure they’re sapient beings but I also think they live by “Survival of the fittest” as their main principle. They’re more driven by their instinct and would do anything just to survive, even genocide. So now, them being a sapient-animal(?) species, I started wondering what if they have some hierarchical system that’s closely ABO dynamics?

And so my thoughts for Galra!Keith ensued.

  • If Keith was Galra, I think he’d be more ¼ Galra and ¾ human. It made sense to me since he has more of his human appearance and the trait he retained from his Galra side were more on his fighting skills and intuition. Point being Zarkon’s “You fight like a Galra” as basis.
  • Having Galra genes, it’s possible that Keith would also retain his secondary gender. With his human being the dominant gene, Keith’s presentation would be late.
  • Being an orphan, Keith doesn’t exactly know when his exact birthday is. A week before it, the Team notices Keith acting strange. He can’t sit still, sometimes he’d laze around which was even stranger because Keith Kogane does not laze around. He’d also rest his hand on the wall to drag it against it as he walked.
  • Shiro didn’t find it weird though, since he remembers Keith’s odd moments when they were alone even back then. When Keith was like this, Shiro would often just sit near him and start playing wiht his hair. Or when they were hidden behind their rooms in the dorms, Shiro would cuddle with Keith. But somehow, Shiro found this being different. Keith was more clingy, although he tried hard not to be. He would nuzzle Shiro and Shiro could have sworn Keith sniffed him sometimes and licked him.
  • Shiro would also find some of the meager amount of his clothes missing from the hamper in his room only to find it sprawled on Keith’s bed or Keith wearing them to sleep. An he just shrugged it off since Keith usually did do these things just… not so obvious.
  • The actual presentaion happened when they were in the heat of battle facing another of the monsters the Galra made or maybe coming across a free planet being scouted by the Galra and had to fight their way through again. Keith starts to feel hot and there’s a certain buzz under his skin. A voice in the back of his head telling him to get away, find somewhere safe to hide or someone he feels will protect him. He tries to shake the thoughts off especially the last. He becomes more vicious in the fight, the sense of protecting himself somewhat more prominent. But he ignores it and waves the pumping of his blood as adrenaline.
  • After the fight and they’re back in the ship, Keith realizes he still feels hot and he’s sweating buckets. Shiro approaches him looking worried seeing how flushed the Red Paladin looked and he was panting. He was also fidgeting uncomfortably and there was something strange with Keith’s eyes. They looked a bit glazed and there was ring of gold in them.
  • When Shiro was really close, Keith was hit with a delicious scent. He’s been picking it up the past few days but ever since this morning it was becoming more notable but had no idea what it was until now. Shiro smelled good. Really good. And Shiro always smelled good to him but for some reason, today he smelled especially so.
  • Shiro would place a hand on Keith’s forehead to check if he was sporting a fever and Keith’s skin was warm but not in a horribly worryingly warm kind of way. But it was still far from normal.
  • Keith’s eyes were closed once Shiro placed his hand on his forehead. “Keith?” he asks and Keith’s eyes opened and they were blown wide with lust. And he lets out a sound that was close to a whine and cat-like and for some reason Shiro’s body responds.
  • Shiro scratches at the hair on Keith’s nape, he discovered a while back that it was one of Keith’s favorite spots, and Shiro’s surprised when Keith goes limp and turns putty in his hands.
  • Shiro realizes that something is really definitely wrong with Keith. Maybe he contracted some alien disease? Or something he ate was affecting him? The mushroom like thing Lance and Hunk found in one of the planets they visited was certainly suspicious but Coran assured them it was safe to eat. But what if Keith was somewhat allergic to it or something? It certainly explained why he was the only one acting strange. A late reaction most probably.
  • Shiro, alarmed and worried, calls for the team to help Keith into the sick bay. But when the others approach Keith starts hissing and baring his teeth which were surprisingly sporting sharper canines than what Shiro remembered.
  • The Alteans looked shocked and Allura tells Pidge to stun Keith. Shiro then realized the princess knew exactly what was going on with Keith. But he was also surprised that he shielded Keith and the need to protect roared at him. Well, he’s always been protective of Keith but not like this. Not to the point that he actually saw the Team as a threat.
  • And Coran and Allura shared a look of understanding. The two Alteans reassured Shiro that they were not going to hurt Keith or take him away. They appealed to Shiro’s rational side that they had to get Keith checked to make sure he was fine.
  • Shiro knew they were right. And so he tried to push down that voice and began soothing Keith because the Red Paladin was still glaring at the others and eyes were scanning them with an animal-like interest. As if taking note of their strengths and weaknesses and cataloguing their threat level. Shiro says the only thing that comes to mind, ”Do you trust me Keith?”
  • Keith hearing this question looks up at Shiro. His head tilts in a cat-like manner because why would Shiro ask that? Of course he trusts him. He chose him. He’s safe and strong and smells really good. Keith is baffled where these thoughts came from because they were too weird. Since more importantly, he loves Shiro, and Shiro him, that’s why he trusts him. But Shiro was scratching that spot again and despite the need to be close to Shiro, to get him to touch him and feel him, that spot always made him week and sleepy. And he was really tired and he still felt too warm.
  • It didn’t take long for Keith to fall asleep in Shiro’s arms. In automatic response Keith snuggles deeper into him and Shiro holds him closer.
  • And the team brings Keith to the sick bay to get scanned. And true to Allura and Coran’s suspicions earlier. It wasn’t something Keith ate or caught that caused this. Keith was part Galra. And today was his birthday. He was presenting, showing clear signs of being an Omega. And apparently, he saw Shiro as his Alpha.

And there goes my headcanon for Galra!Omega!Keith. For some reason, the last one sounded anticlimactic to me.

Things you’ll understand if you like to spend time alone.

1. A weekend which contains no plans, no responsibilities and nowhere to go is a perfect weekend for you.

2. Sometimes your friends try to make plans with you and you have to think of an excuse rather than admitting you’d rather spend all day alone.

3. Reading, listening to music and watching TV is far more appealing to you than going to clubs.

4. Going away to a remote cabin in the middle of nowhere sounds like a perfect break for you.

5.  Your intuition is on point because you spend an insane amount of time alone and cultivating it.

6.  When you do hang out with people, you prefer seeing them one on one or in a small group. The more intimate and deep the conversation, the better.

7. You can spend a lot of time observing and studying people’s behavior.

8. You tend to enjoy cold, rainy weather as it gives you an excuse to stay home all day, drink coffee and read.

9. If you aren’t thinking of the world’s biggest questions you must be dead.

10.  There is absolutely nothing that can touch the feeling of when someone cancels plans on you.

The real INFJ

Idea credit to: @personalitytheorist (awesome post)

(If any of this is inaccurate please kindly let me know, also remember that not every INFJ is the same)

INFJs are not perfect.

I don’t even know how this perception came into existence, maybe it’s because our Fe hides our flaws and make people think that “oh wow this person can do no wrong! They are so open and helpful!” But this perception may be somewhat true on the surface, (INFJs know that there is always more to a person than you see on the surface) this is not at all the case, INFJs can be very judgmental but we hide behind our Fe in literally everything we do if we don’t trust the person. I know for me personally that I try not to have negative perceptions of people and try to see it from their point of view to understand the situation before I react. But that is probably just a me thing.

Remember when I said our Fe covers up everything if we aren’t comfortable with that person? I mean, literally everything. You can know an INFJ for almost a year and still not know anything about them if they don’t think your trustworthy. If you want to gain our trust, you have to be authentic (and this will take a while to prove your being authentic) and you have to know that once the INFJ says something it’s between both of you unless they say otherwise. Breaking an INFJs trust will spell disaster (and I’m not talking about the “INFJ door slam” that’s just stupid everyone does that) commonly an INFJ may give you grace once if you broke their trust and try again (YOU WERE IMPORTANT TO THEM IF THEY TRY AGAIN) but if you still choose to harm their trust they will probably stop talking to you for a very long time, they may decide to trust you again but they have to make sure they trust you.

The reason INFJs are so sensitive with trust is that they have a lot going on in their heads and they want the right people to share those things with. They know if it’s shared with the wrong person it will end up being taken the wrong way or something bad will happen. So they close up and hide their true thoughts and feelings. They will also never share unless they feel welcomed and accepted.

To others, an INFJ may appear however they want you to see them. We don’t mean to do this, we just have a natural instinct to mimic surrounding feelings and emotions. If you want to actually know how we feel about something try starting to build trust with us and you will see.

(This next part will probably be accurate for more than just INFJs but I will be talking specifically from an INFJs perspective)

I see so many posts saying that INFJs are misunderstood snowflakes. To a certain degree everyone is a misunderstood snowflake let’s be honest. But for INFJs the reason we commonly feel this way is because we don’t want to use our Fe to conform to everything, we hate it! We would much rather have our thoughts be accepted but that’s not the way the world works. I think the reason INFJs develop Fe is because that when all they had was Ni they were so open and free with everything, but people condemned them for their thoughts so they put up a Fe shield and conformed to everyone else so they didn’t seem as weird as they were. So our Ni gets kept to ourselves and once we have time by ourselves in a room full of people we will feel like an outcast because we feel like we can’t talk to anyone about what we want just because, it has to conform to what they think about us.

INFJs commonly have deeply held core values. If you hit a “hot-button topic”, the normally quiet INFJ will probably yell at you or at the very least scold you. Depending on their mood and how much Fe they have at the moment will depict if they yell or not.

Now, I’ve talked a lot about Fe but what about Ni? First, let me make one thing clear. We. Are. Not. Psychic. That’s impossible, physic tricks are psychological scams (sorry if you believe in psychics). Anyway, the common “Ah-ha!” Moment thing is the most vague interpretation ever. Personally, I’ve never had a intuitive “Ah-ha!” moment, even though it’s explain by inf Se picking up something and Ni intuitively picking it up. I think that “Ah-Ha!” Is a bad way to describe what they are talking about because an INxJ doesn’t just randomly go “Ah-Ha!” And suddenly have a conclusion. The underlying process is much more rational working with memories and common knowledge Ni goes from point A then intuitively skips to point P and point T and then somehow comes to the conclusion of point Z. Think of it like this, an Ni-Dom sees an Apple on the ground. The Ni-Dom doesn’t simply look at the ground and say “oh look an apple” they will see the apple and think “I wonder who left that apple on the ground and why they left it there”. This only explains the surface of Ni, there are many vast perspectives about it and I can go on for days but if you have read every word up until this point I would be surprised, but if I make this post any longer almost nobody would read it. So I’m concluding. Hope you enjoyed.

The Perfect Gift

“Nice ass,” you complimented, as you walked up to him with a box of lights in your hands. Freeing one hand, you smacked him on his pert behind, he jumped slightly at the contact.

“Hey!” he looked down at you, his lips twitching and fighting off a smile. “Be a good girl now,”

“Or what?”

“Or Santa’s gonna skip your ass,” he said, turning back to his tree decorating. You handed him the box and stood next to him, scrutinising his work. “What’s wrong?”

“Umm, well…no offence, buuuut it’s a bit cluttered,”

“What?!” he said with an incredulous smile. “You did all that bit babe,”

“Yeah but now that you’ve added the baubles, candy canes and lights…it’s a bit much.”

“Oh my gaaaaahd,” he groaned. “Babe, I’m tired, we still gotta wrap the rest of the presents, can we just leave it?”

“Oh, I can fix it, I’ll sort it out.”

“Mkay,” he shrugged nonchalantly and immediately stepped back from the tree and handed you back the box of lights. “Here, imma go get a glass of wine, want one?”

“No thanks,” you replied. He pecked your cheek before disappearing into the kitchen.

You worked on the tree, scolding yourself for doing it so last minute, as in the night before Christmas. But, there was no other choice since you’d been moving in together into the newly bought house. It couldn’t have been done earlier because of your working schedules; better late than never.

By the time you were done, Roman had finished wrapping the presents at the table in the far side of the room so you couldn’t snoop. You crashed on the couch on top of him, both sighing at the accomplishment.

“It looks good,” he smiled, stroking your hair.

“Does, doesn’t it? Good team work,” you smiled. “Shall we put the presents underneath now then we can go to bed?”

“Mhhh, yupp, oh, wait…you didn’t put the star on top.”

“Oh man,” you groaned, sulking as you looked at the tree, which suddenly looked weird without the star.

He rubbed your back and sat up with you. “C'mon, lets do this. I’ll help you.”

You found the star under the rubble made up of bubblewrap, tinsel and baubles you’d strewn on the floor. Unfortunately you couldn’t reach the top of the tree; trust a 6"3 Samoan to pick one that was the same height as him.

“I got you,” he said coming up behind you and picking you up, you squealed and placed the star on top, clasping your hands with pride at the final touch. “Et viola! Beauuuutiful,”

You worked collaboratively getting the presents that he’d wrapped and some you’d done earlier under the tree. But you stopped at a perculiar one, examining the intrestingly shaped box and looked up at him.

“What’s this?” You asked out of curiosity.

“Nope, under the tree.”

“Pleaaaaase?” You sulked, poking your bottom lip out. He refused. “Can I at least get a hint?”

“Baby come on, it’s Christmas tomorrow you’ll find out then.”

You sighed in annoyance, but then an idea hit you as you scanned the presents piled on the table. “What about…I pick one of my presents to you from the pile, and you pick one for me and we can open them tonight, then the rest tomorrow?”

Roman chuckled. “What’re you 5?”

“Please baby, I’ll give you a second present later,” you said, lowering your voice as you walked up to him and put your hand under his shirt and pulled him into you. It didn’t take a genious to figure out what that was. “It involves no hands…”

He groaned.

“Lips…”

And again.

“Tongue…”

“Damn…”

“And a lot of suck-”

“Okay, alright, alright,” he put his hands up in a surrendering gesture. “You tease. Alright, let’s work with the small presents. Deal?”

“Deal,” you said excitedly as he rummaged through the pile of the wrapped goods. You turned around and did the same, contemplating on this that or the other. You made your final choice and turned to face him, wondering if it was a good idea to do it now, this way too. You exchanged the gifts, “On 3…1…2…no, actually let me open my first.”

“What?-”

“Ladies first,” you scolded him with a wagging finger. He gave you a ‘come on’ look, but you went ahead anyway and ripped the paper off frantically, revealing a small black box. You looked up at him skeptically, then back to it before you opened it to reveal a key with the Mercedes logo on it. You gasped, your eyes widening in excitment. “The wagon? Baby?! Did you…?! Oh shit!”

He smiled, happy with the immediate seal of approval. “Yeah, thought the CLK could do with a big brother,”

“I’m so glad I started this, it’s like I knew, my intuitions are on point,” you gloated. “Can we go? Can I see it? Can we go for a test ride? I wanna see it, where is it?”

“Calm down, and no. That, we’ll save for tomorrow,” he said. But you still ran into his arms nonetheless, hugging him tightly and thankfully.

“Is it the matte midnight blue I wanted?”

“Stop,” he laughed at the keen interest. You were really a 5 year old in a grown woman’s body. “No more telling…my turn.”

You almost forgot about that part, you peeled away from him slowly and watched him as he opened his wrapping carefully. You almost wanted to rip it apart carelessly and speedily for him. The wait was agonising.

“I wanted to give it to you tomorrow, but then…I just want you to open it between us,” you reasoned, it’d be great in front of friends and family; but better with just the two of you.

He narrowed his eyes at you momentarily at that comment. You pursed your lips, watching him until he got to the product.

“I’m confused baby,” he said with a nervous laugh as he eyed it suspiciously. Holding it up as if that’d clear it up. “It’s a…thermometer?”

You laughed, nervously too and reached for his hand to help him out. “Turn it over silly,”

Then he did, cocked his head to one side and then you watched as it hit him. “Oh,” his eyes widened and a smile immediately taking refuge on his face. “Oh shit…for real?” You nodded, your grin mirroring his. “For real? No joke? As in…for real-for real?!”

“Yes!”

“Are you…for real? We’re…we’re gonna be parents? Imma be a daddy?”

“Yes! Yes,”

You don’t know how it happened or when, but he was just so quick; he picked you up, span you around excitedly, muttering how happy he was to hear that news. When he finally set you down he cupped your face with both hands, smothering your face with kisses.

“Baby! This is the best present ever, I don’t even care what else you got me,” he spoke, his voice was quieter now, sounding more serious. You could read how genuine he was, he trembled with adrenalin and eyes welling up. He’d always wanted kids, you’d talked about it, and here you were. “Now I feel bad about my present, it doesn’t compare to this. You don’t know how much I love you right now, I love you so much. I should’ve given you a different present, I’m sorry.”

“No, no, it’s perfect,” you pointed out. “It’s perfect because it’s gonna be our family car. It’s perfect.”

“You sure?”

“Yes! Now take me upstairs,” you kissed him, accentuating each word with a kiss. “And show me…how much…you love me.”

“Don’t have to tell me twice,” he said, scooping you up and heading towards the stairs, the tasks at hand forgotten and abandoned.

“Oh baby, can I tell you something?”

“Mhhh-hmm, anything.”

“We’re having twins,”

Legend of Korra: Korra [ESFP]

UNOFFICIAL TYPING by curiouscarson

Extroverted Sensing (Se): Korra is very rash.  She often springs into action without thinking of the consequences.  She feels like she always needs to be doing things.  She hates waiting or when she is incapable of helping people, which is why the trauma she goes through at the end of Book 3 is so hard for her.  She is a naturally adapt fighter and bender.  She picks up new bending techniques quickly and with ease.  Though she is put under serious circumstances, she is naturally fun loving; she enjoys playing games and experiencing new things.  The sights and sounds of republic city excite her, as does the festival in the Southern Water Tribe.

Introverted Feeling (Fi):  Korra leads with her emotions first.  She responds to situations with how she feels in that moment.  She’s very compassionate and always wants to help people who need it.  However, she doesn’t exactly empathize the way and Fe-user would.   She often tries to find a frame of reference to something she’s been through.  Furthermore, she struggles with navigating social situations, especially dealing with politicians and the media.  She lacks tact.  She is unapologetically herself.   When people try to control her, she refuses (running away to Republic City, sneaking away to probending).  Sometimes she takes this too far and ignores well-meant advice (She ignores her father and Tenzin in the beginning of Book 2 because she is mad at them).  At the beginning of Book 4 she runs away because she can only take so much of people caring and worrying for her, she needs to heal on her own.

Extroverted Thinking (Te):  Korra is a natural leader.  She is decisive and goal oriented.  When she knows what she wants, she makes a plan to accomplish it.  She likes to see evidence and even more, to experience things for herself in order to believe it.  In intense situations, she acts in the fast and efficient way.  And as she matures, she learns to balance her emotions.

Introverted Intuition (Ni): Several characters point out that Korra struggles with the spiritual side of being the Avatar.  This is more than just her powers.  Korra struggles to disengage from the physical world see beyond the objective reality.   In Book 1, she struggles with meditating, because she wants to being doing something.  She solves problems by acting on them, not thinking about them.  She isn’t in tune to her intuition warning her about things (She doesn’t see the plan behind by Tarrlok or Unalok or how they are using her).  She rarely thinks of the long term consequences of her actions.  She feels drawn to, but struggles with, finding personal meaning in the things that happen to her.
