Close-up on some of the many interesting elements on the dial of the new Breguet Tradition Répétition Minutes Tourbillon 7087. The two bizarrely-shaped “loops” are the gongs of the minute repeater, and you can see just underneath them on the left the vertical hammers, which strike them from behind. The gongs are connected to a floating bezel and to the sapphire crystal, in order to amplify the sound. On the right, you can see the magnetic governor, which reduces the background noise usually generated while the minute repeater is in action. At the bottom of the picture is the Tourbillon, while at the top is the time subdial, engine-turned by hand, with blued hollowed hands, in pure Breguet style. Tradition and innovation at their best!
Close-up on the dial of the Montblanc Collection Villeret 1858 Tourbillon Cylindrique Geosphères Vasco da Gama. At the top of the pictures, the splendid cylindrical tourbillon with its beautiful curved cage should be enough to grab our attention, but it has to compete with the two hemispheres on the lower part of the dial which serve as a world time zone indicator: the two hand-painted engraved and polished spheres are each surrounded by a 24-hour scale which enables you to tell at a glance the time it is anywhere in the world!
