Dream Daddy Info from Vernon’s 6/23 Instagram Stream

-Music inspired Vernon and Leighton a lot in the writing process and they made a lot of playlists for the game while they were working

-Vernon doesn’t want to spoil the dad’s personalities too much.

-He did say that one of them is basically a self-insert of him and you’d be able to tell who it was.

-He talked a lot about the creative process and how when you make something a lot of yourself goes into it so a little bit of him is in every dad.

-He got to put in a lot of the music he wanted from bands he likes into the game.

no cigarette smoke here / just the quiet constant hum / of your eyes / your eyes / your kisses still burn on my neck / on my chest / on my stomach / i left your house but you haven’t left my mind / i’ll stop praying to little pills if you promise you’ll stop picking fights with sharp corners / one day when we’re both old we’ll send each other christmas cards / i’ll send the serious kind and you’ll send the funny stupid ones / it’ll be okay / it’ll be alright

okay, so this might have been obvious already but i’ll reiterate – i love music. it inspires me, haunts me in my sleep, it gives me new ideas and it makes me feel less alone sometimes. a lot of songs have pushed me to write poetry, but i’ll just list a few here – this list will help set the mood for my New Collection and it’ll help you guys get where i’m coming from – so here we go:

“mountain at my gates” by foals

“the end” by the doors

“robbers” by the 1975

“jersey” by mayday parade

“electric indigo” by the paper kites

“coney island baby” by lou reed

“love is” by dude york

“oh! sweet nuthin’“ by the velvet underground

“5 flucloxacillin” by los campesinos!

“this year” by the mountain goats

“you get what you give” by the new radicals

“when god goes home” by fury in the slaughterhouse

This is why I write the way I do. As a poet it’s expected that we read and learn style and form and blah blah blah.
Music always inspired me more than any writer. Justin is fucking cool. I’ve told you guys multiple times to follow @iamcrywolf
and the reason is above. He gives zero fucks. He is himself. He just doesn’t give a damn. That’s what’s up. That’s what inspires me to write.

It’s the only reason to write. No one in the world can write like you. Embrace yourself. All the Holy and the Evil you contain. Heal yourself. Give the world something that can heal them.

Send me “Music!” and I’ll write a short piece of music inspired by your muse!

I’m really REALLY happy with this one!? I went for a pretty but melancholic sound for this piece. Lots of arpeggiated sequences and patterns for this. I thought it sounded best as a simple piano piece and would suit your muse best this way.

@keep-those-memories-away

ARE YOU A WRITER NEEDING INSPIRATION?

YES?

THEN LISTEN TO THIS SHIT.

ARE YOU AN ARTIST NEEDING A MUSE?

YES?

THEN FUCKING LISTEN TO THIS SHIT.

ARE YOU A VETERINARIAN?

YES?

THEN FUCKING PLUG IN YOUR HEADPHONES AND LISTEN TO THIS SHIT.

ARE YOU ANYTHING IN THE WORLD

THEN THIS SHIT IS FOR YOU.

How do you do? My name is Deems Taylor, and it’s my very pleasant duty to welcome you here on behalf of Walt Disney, Leopold Stokowski, and all the other artists and musicians whose combined talents went into the creation of this new form of entertainment, Fantasia. What you’re going to see are the designs and pictures and stories that music inspired in the minds and imaginations of a group of artists.

anonymous asked:

Au where Victor is a really famous composer but he always felt like something was missing from his music. Then he sees a video of Yuuri skating to it and how he seems to complete the piece so he flys to Japan to go see him and then Yuuri becomes his inspiration for music.

YESSSS

BTS is one of those artists that had to climb their way up to where they are now and watching them grow into these incredibly talented artists who make music that inspire and even heal a lot of people makes me really proud and grateful to be a fan. They are quite frankly, the epitome of the expression: “From Zero to Hero”.

I never thought I’d see the day they’d have their names on those seats…it was really beyond what any ARMY expected (though I always believed they were meant for greater things). Once again, BTS showed us NOTHING is impossible with hard work, faith, and passion. 😉 With this, they continue to be an inspiration to not just their fans but even the music industry as a whole–especially to other aspiring artists.

lol I feel like a mom whose sons are having their graduation. 😂😭 But I can’t help it. I’m just so proud 😭❤

Reblog to show your love for BTS!

#THANKYOUSISTAR

Dear SISTAR,

thank you for a memorable seven years. you inspired millions through your music, visuals, and choreography.

you left an impact on kpop and the standards on beauty forever. you told women that didn’t necessarily fit the pale-korean-norms that it was okay to be curvy and tan.

i hope that in your future activities, together or seperate, you’re happy. i will always be there to support in whatever you do.

summer will never be the same without its queens to celebrate it.
