Hey! Do you know if there is a list anywhere of the Russian folk music they play before the show and during the intermission? Thanks!

Before the Broadway album was released, Dave Malloy released Spotify playlists that each listed music that inspired each song in the show.

Two of these Spotify playlists he made, Balaga and The Abduction, have the Russian music that is used before the show and in intermission.

Here are the links to the Spotify playlists: Balaga and The Abduction

Dream Daddy Info from Vernon’s 6/23 Instagram Stream

-Music inspired Vernon and Leighton a lot in the writing process and they made a lot of playlists for the game while they were working

-Vernon doesn’t want to spoil the dad’s personalities too much.

-He did say that one of them is basically a self-insert of him and you’d be able to tell who it was.

-He talked a lot about the creative process and how when you make something a lot of yourself goes into it so a little bit of him is in every dad.

-He got to put in a lot of the music he wanted from bands he likes into the game.

(OOC: As far as pacing goes this happened before all the signature rituals/runic ritual, just had this typed out for a while and decided to finish it)

With Theron’s familiar Rose nestled snugly against her shoulder, Ilyea couldn’t help but hum along to the soft tune that seemed to echo from the avian. It helped break up the work she was doing but then again warding was a tedious chore. It allowed her mind to stretch and fold onto itself as she finished each knot into the wood. Other than the whistle of wind within the trees and the pretty singing bird; it was relatively quiet.

Reaching her hand out a skittering bug caught her eye which was quickly squished with her sharpened carving tool. The offered sludge was offered to Rose whom greedily pecked off the offering.

“Could you be a good dear and keep me informed if anything changes? I’ll give you more bugs.” The mage offered her friend’s familiar accented with a rub along the head. Rose let out a soft caw and flew out into the surrounding Terrokar forest. Rose’s small form hidden perfectly against the soft greens and blues of the alien scenery though she could still hear her singing as she flew along.

How do you motivate yourself to write?

As to when I was writing more, the biggest motivation was knowing someone wanted to read this and even if there was no one, who cared, I wanted to write it. The things I’ve written were all things I really wanted to write because I had visual ideas of scenes or prompts and I wanted to have them happen at least on paper. When I think about an idea all day or all week and finally have it written down, I feel like I made it live and that’s really important to me. I just kept telling myself that I’m turning little figures into words and sentences people understand and bring joy reading. Or it were things that I wondered about how they’d turn out and some of them fail, some of them become pretty nice. Music inspires me a lot too. I can be walking my dog and listening music- and then suddenly a song pulls me into an idea or a vibe or scene and listening to that song later makes me rethink that idea again and it’ll motivate me to write it.

I don’t want to ruin any of this but lately I can barely motivate myself. I can’t seem to write much right now and if I do, I hate it. I’m losing the will to finish my dcbb fic because I feel like no one cares and it’ll be a failure and never as succesful as I want it to be. The ideas I have are alright but they don’t get me pumped.

That isn’t what you want to hear, but I wanted you to know that it’s not a constant flow of motivation that will always get you to write and make amazing stories. I’m stuck rn and I feel like giving up on my deancas big bang fic all the time, but knowing I already put so much effort in it makes me want to not give up and then I end up just doing nothing. I write little drabbles instead and hope the motivation somehow gets back to me.
Don’t be discouraged by this though, it happens and sometimes the only thing you can do is write something entirely different and get your mind of the thing you’re struggling with.

I was excited but nervous when I heard he was singing it because like…no one will ever replace Ben. But it’s so amazing. I love it. And it’s giving me such wonderful nostalgia to when I was younger and first found Owl City and absolutely fell in love with it. I was 13 and had just started writing and reading fantasy, and oh my gosh. Owl City’s music was like the most magical thing I had ever heard and to this day it has a special place in my heart.

(Also I wrote a book inspired by Plant Life, and it was the most hideous book in the entire world, but still. Adam’s music inspired an entire novel.)

Send me “Music!” and I’ll write a short piece of music inspired by your muse!

I’m really REALLY happy with this one!? I went for a pretty but melancholic sound for this piece. Lots of arpeggiated sequences and patterns for this. I thought it sounded best as a simple piano piece and would suit your muse best this way.

What kind is music inspires you to write your beautiful poems? Do you have any song recommendations?

I don’t have any specific songs. I listen to all kinds of music but I mainly listen to rock like The White Strips and The Pretty Reckless but also the storytelling in country music and classical music and sometimes pop. I’m all over the place when it comes to inspiration 😊

How do you do? My name is Deems Taylor, and it’s my very pleasant duty to welcome you here on behalf of Walt Disney, Leopold Stokowski, and all the other artists and musicians whose combined talents went into the creation of this new form of entertainment, Fantasia. What you’re going to see are the designs and pictures and stories that music inspired in the minds and imaginations of a group of artists.

Au where Victor is a really famous composer but he always felt like something was missing from his music. Then he sees a video of Yuuri skating to it and how he seems to complete the piece so he flys to Japan to go see him and then Yuuri becomes his inspiration for music.

BTS is one of those artists that had to climb their way up to where they are now and watching them grow into these incredibly talented artists who make music that inspire and even heal a lot of people makes me really proud and grateful to be a fan. They are quite frankly, the epitome of the expression: “From Zero to Hero”.

I never thought I’d see the day they’d have their names on those seats…it was really beyond what any ARMY expected (though I always believed they were meant for greater things). Once again, BTS showed us NOTHING is impossible with hard work, faith, and passion. 😉 With this, they continue to be an inspiration to not just their fans but even the music industry as a whole–especially to other aspiring artists.

lol I feel like a mom whose sons are having their graduation. 😂😭 But I can’t help it. I’m just so proud 😭❤

Reblog to show your love for BTS!
