Sunny Creativity Tarot Spread

Since the Sun influences creative energies, I’ve decided to create the Sunny Creativity Spread for insight on one’s creative abilities and how to improve them.I hope it helps you through your creative journey! Blessed be!

1.) How is my creativity at the moment?

This is the state your creative part of you is doing. Is it good? Is it bad? Is it inexperienced?

2.) How can I describe the works of art my creativity has made?

This question asking about the quality and uniqueness of your drawings, painting, poetry, photographs, anything creative. Is it good? Does it need some work? What’s the style of your work?

3.) What inspires my creativity?

Inspiration is pretty much key to your creativity. But what inspired you to create that piece? It could be a friend, family member or even yourself that inspires you! Also other artists and strangers could inspire you too.

4.) How can I be more creative?

Just for future reference or current reference when you get a creativity/artist’s block, you can get insight from this card on what you can do to try to unblock those creative energies!

5.) What does my creativity show others about me?

When you create things, what are others seeing about you through your creations?

6.) What should my creativity focus on more?

This is something important that your creativity is not focusing on during the creative process when it should. It will help guide you to become better working with your creativity, so be sure to write it down.

7.) What should my creativity focus on less?

This is something your creativity tends to focus on the most that isn’t that important. It could possibly be holding you back from your true potential in your creativity.

Rules: repost with rules, answer the 11 questions, then ask your own 11 questions and tag 11 people

1.What is your favorite childhood comfort item (or some if there are many)? I have a stuffed animal that I got when I was 9 from Disneyland - she’s still in my bedroom; I took her with me to college and everything.
2.What is your favorite band at the moment? Boyband: EXO; Band-Band:Either My Chemical Romance or Bad Suns

3. What is the happiest thing that has ever happened to you? I always think of my 16th birthday; I wasn’t expecting anything, but my family had made a special breakfast and day out and everything and I felt so touched and loved.

4. Who inspires you the most? Probably Mother Teresa

5. Look around you. Name the first thing your eyes landed on. Pillow

6. What is the stupidest movie you have ever seen (or just one you disliked/hated). I recently saw a movie called “Deep” or something like that; and it was set in like Canada or Netherlands or something; but the lead actress was doing a “Hills of West Virginia” accent and you could see the pain on the other actors faces I swear if it wasn’t so sad it would have been funny.

7.Say there’s a pill that makes it a guarantee that you will never get sick in your life ever again (colds, flu, lime disease, ebola - stuff that can be passed), but you have to get a tattoo of a pill capsule right smack dab on the tip of your nose in order to get the pill. Would you take the pill? (it wouldn’t cost anything - the tattoo or the pill). I’m already sensitive about my nose I don’t need more attention drawn to it with a tattoo.

8. You have been given the power to ban one specific song. No one can ever listen to it again, sing it, hum it, speak of it. What song would you ban? Either Bang Bang  by Ariana Grande and Jessie J or Closer by Chainsmokers; gosh I hate those songs so much.

9.You can make one song mandatory learning in all schools. Every student must listen to it. Which song do you pick? Yikes this is hard…right now “Moonlight” by EXO since I adore it and everyone else should to.

10. Glance around you. The first word you see is now your name. What is your new name? (kaity’s note: my new name is Breathe). Cattolica (it was on my calendar).

11. Can you hear the people sing? Singing the song of angry men? It is the music of a people who will  not be slaves again!!

OK so my 11 Questions are:

1.If you could be an expert in anything (just naturally know everything about whatever it is) what would you chose?

2. Name a musician/ band who you hated initially but now love.

3.What is the name of the book (you know the one) that you’ve read over and over again?

4. Song you love most right now.

5. Song you hate the most right now.

6. Best film you’ve seen so far in 2017.

7. Favorite comic book character and why.

8. If you were the Rock for a day - what would you do?(no idea where this idea came from, but I’m curious now)

9. What’s a weird habit you have that no one else seems to have.

10. What’s the latest you’ve ever procrastinated on an assignment?

11. What album would you name “Album of the Century”?

Art Journal FAQ

since I get the same few asks every day about my art journal!

1. What markers do you use?
•Copic Markers. I have so many because my mom got them from a friend for lower than half price about 5 years ago.

2. What is that white ink?
•It’s a Gelly Roll 08 white pen.

3. What type of journal do you use? Does it bleed through?
•An artist’s loft “fashion journal” with acid free paper. Yes, it does bleed through so I skip every other page. I don’t mind that though.

4. What inspired you to start Art journaling?
•My mom does some mixed media Art journaling and I wanted to try my own type. I was going through a rough time and needed a way to cope. It works pretty well.

5. How do I start an art journal?
•There are no guidelines and boundaries. Stick whatever you want in there and journal with your emotions. Paint over things if you don’t like it. If you want to say something, say it. It’s /your/ art journal.

Being Pagan in a Christian Household

I know that many of us in the Pagan community have either lived or currently live in a Christian household; more likely than not, this is with family. It is uncomfortable to feel like you’re an outsider in your home. This post isn’t ignoring the anger or frustration that might rise up in you in this environment; it’s simply a survival guide.

This post does not intend to tell you to be ashamed for your beliefs; quite the opposite, in fact. I want you to feel proud of your faith, but also be safe in your home from problems that might arise from being ousted.

1. Respect their Christian beliefs. Just as you have every right to believe in your gods, so do they. This means that if they need to have Sunday off of chores to go to church, let them have it. If they need quiet before bed so that they can pray, turn down your music. The Christian god is still one worthy of our respect, same as any other. It does not help if you are derisive of their beliefs, because it gives them an excuse to do the same to you.

2. Take time for your own faith.Pray whenever and wherever you can: the shower, the bathroom, under the covers, while you’re reading a textbook. Take longer showers to worship. Write prayers on paper and burn them in sacrifice in the safety of your backyard or bathroom (with water close at hand!).

3. Make a ninja-altar. To be clear, you do not need an altar to be a “proper” Pagan. You do what you can, and nothing more.

However, if you feel like you want to, there are lots of great ways to make your altar look like it’s not an altar. Here are some things you can put together in small combinations:

  • A few candles (one is enough but feel free to have more than that if you want)
  • Rocks placed on the corner of a desk
  • In place of a water offering in a golden offering bowl, you can use a mug
  • Use an old Altoid box (or other small tin) to put your altar-things in. There are a lot of good ideas on the Internet; Google them to get inspired!

4. Keep any books you buy in a discrete place. They can go under the bed, behind other books on your shelf, they can even go home with a trusted friend. It does not good to be ousted by your copy of The Goodly Spellbook.

5. If you have to go to church, use that time wisely. Sure, it sucks that your family is asking you to go to church when your gods don’t require that. But that’s perfect time to worship Odin or the Goddess, because it’s time specifically meant for that.

6. Remember that the gods get it.Your gods know whether or not you’re in a position to worship them in specific ways. So you can’t go out and buy a huge chalice and put a naked Kali on the living room wall; do what you can instead.

I hope this helps you, friends.

since im still bitter about that one caller asking joji about ian’s ass here’s 10 things i would’ve asked but I didn’t get to because all the lines were blocked full of callers:

1. where do you get your inspiration for writing your own songs?

2. is there any joji song that you’ve made that you’re incredibly proud of?

3. what joji music song took the longest to make?

4. what inspired you to make your own music?

5. did you grow up in a musical household?

6. did you play any instruments as a child that you still play now?

7. how long did it take you to create your first song after learning the ukulele?

8. what’s your favorite genre of music to relax to? does it contain any music similar to the music you make?

9. would you ever consider making a full joji album, much like the pink guy albums you create?

10. im proud of you and your music, you’re an insperation to me and many others, I want to thank you for reanimating my passion for music making, do you have any tips?

anonymous asked:

Is there any feminist TV shows or movies?

Okay so since I saw this question I have been doing some research and I can honestly say that it has been hard. But with some help from friends I have made a list that I think can really hold its own! So here we go!
TV SHOWS:
1. Parks and Recreation - Parks and Rec is awesome because not only does the show have very strong feminist undertones and themes, but the main character, Leslie Knope, identifies and clearly states that she is a feminist, which is a really important aspect of the show.
2. Orange is the New Black - This show is all about women and their struggles in the world, and the creator Jenji Kohan, has a reputation for writing really powerful female characters and you can definitely see that in OITNB. Also, the best character, Sophia, is a transgendered woman who doesn’t take shit and is probably my favorite TV character ever.
3. American Horror Story: Coven - Another show I love! In this season every main role is filled by a woman. They showcase black women, white women, bigger ladies, smaller ladies, and one amazing human being with Down Syndrome who you might recognize for her recent work on the catwalks at fashion week! All of these ladies are powerful, sexually assertive, and pretty sadistic. You know how people are always asking for strong women, and emotional women, and scarred women, etc., well this show has it all.
4. Scandal - The world should be even more in love with this show than it already is! Olivia Pope is awesome and can put anyone, even the President of the United States, in their place. Not only that, but being an empowered black woman is so crucual in this society. Olivia’s character is inspiring young girls all over the world to dream big and feel beautiful in their own skin.
5. Top of the Lake - This has been on my Netflix queue for like…2 years, and I am sad to say that no I still haven’t really found time to sit down and watch it. HOWEVER, I have friends who love it and say that feminism wise it’s awesome. It has tons of feminist ideas running through it (including a female only island called “paradise”) It speaks of abuse survivors and the serious issues faced by women today. I think I may just start it this weekend.
MOVIES:
1. Thelma and Louise - So you’re probably going to run into people who say that no, this is the opposite of a feminsit movie, but in my eyes this movie is amazing. It is a commentary on the way women have been conditioned to survive in this society and Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis portray strong and emotional women.
2. The Color Purple - This is a very emotional story concerning African American women between 1909-1936. The women in thsi film have been beaten and abused into submission, and it is through each other that they find the courage to stand up the their abusers and liberate themselves. Plus Oprah is in it so that’s pretty awesome.
3. Whale Rider - Another movie with characters who are not only white. The film is focused on the people of the Maori culture and the way in which they select the future leaders. Kahu is a strong female character flooding with emotion who will inspire you.
4. The Stepford Wives - This is a commentary on the way men expect women to behave in our world. A family, involving a powerful, self absorbed mother, moves to the suburb of Stepford and upon interacting with the men and women of the society see strange things going on. It’s funny and exciting!
5. Easy A - Another comedy based on the way women are treated in our society. This deals heavily with a young woman who decides to help her male classmates by pretending to have ex with them. This turns her into a school pariah and what does she do? She owns it!
DOCUMENTARIES:
1. The Invisible War - An incredible journey into the world og women who have been raped and/or sexually assaulted in the military. It’s emotional and moving.
2. Miss Representation - Probably my favorite documentary of all time. Speaks about the way the world views women, and how it is impacting the women around us.
3. Girl Rising - This is aboutyoung girls all over the world, and the lives they are living and the atrocities they are facing.
4. Sexy Baby - Follows three women/girl and the way they have been conditioned to view themselves.
5. Wonder Women - All about the superheroines that exist in reality.

There are so many more amazing feminsit canvases out there and I encourage you to do some googling and Netflix searches. For now I hope this gives you some fun referenes. I know I had fun making it!
-The Daily Feminsit

Adam and Eddy or ABC or somebody, in their infinite wisdom, have decided that while they desperately need to do some market research on how to fix their show, they don’t want to actually pay for it. so they’re soliciting free fan labor to help them clean up their colossal mess.

so, since i’m generous, here are the answers to their 7 questions:

1. Tell us about what gets you excited to watch a new season or episode of television — is it new plot developments or character introductions, anticipated storylines for characters you love, community with friends? What brings you to the tube?

television that is good, with interesting and complex women as characters. that is why i don’t watch your show anymore.

2. Which Once character would you like to meet in real life?

tough. Emma and Regina both desperately need interventions from people who love them.

3. Of all the villains to visit Storybrooke, who would you like to see return the most?

i’d like to see villain Hook back in an explicit way instead of pretending he’s good now.

4. What inspires you to tweet about a show you’re watching? How often would you say you watch live so that you can participate in the conversation on Twitter?

y’all need to raise your social media Nielsen numbers so desperately to make up for the fact that nobody’s watching, don’t you? you really should have thought about that before you drove away everyone but the Twihards and 50Shades moms. try returning to making  television that is good, with interesting and complex women as characters.

5. Which new fairy tale character or world that we have not explored would you like to see on Once Upon a Time?

no, y’all. no. the constant gimmicky chewing up and spitting out of one fairytale after another is a large part of why you’re so fucked right now. stop letting the plot drive the bus. let the characters breathe and interact and have psychological depth. bonus for: bottle episodes save money.

6. If you could move to Storybrooke, who would you want to be your next door neighbor?

okay who in marketing cooked this one up?

7. What was the most heartbreaking moment of the past 100 episodes?

it’s really tied between Robin forcing himself on Regina in her vault next to his wife’s frozen body and Emma finally giving in to Hook’s ceaseless pursuit even though she hated him up until approximately 30 seconds before.
