Tell us a bit about your background. 

I was born and grew up in a least-developed province in China, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and dreamed of living in a developed city when I was a little girl. The dream was realized: I went to Shanghai, one of the most developed cities in China, 30 years ago, and completed my medical education in Shanghai Medical University. I eventually worked in Beijing for 10 years before starting an international career.
