(I had found a kind of serenity, a new maturity… I didn’t feel better or stronger than anyone else but it seemed no longer important whether everyone loved me or not - more important now was for me to love them. Feeling that way turns your whole life around; living becomes the act of giving) - Beverly Sills.

(I was drawn to all the wrong things: I liked to drink, I was lazy, I didn’t have a god, politics, ideas, ideals. I was settled into nothingness; a kind of non-being, and I accepted it. I didn’t make for an interesting person. I didn’t want to be interesting, it was too hard. What I really wanted was only a soft, hazy space to live in, and to be left alone) -Charles Bukowski.

(There is peace and rest and comfort in sorrow) - Soren Kierkegaard.

19. Thà ăn đậu và thịt xông khói trong yên bình còn hơn ăn bánh uống rượu trong sợ hãi. (Better beans and bacon in peace than cakes and ale in fear) - Aesop.

20. Truy tìm bình an bên ngoài chẳng khác nào tìm kiếm rùa có râu, bạn không thể nào tìm được. Nhưng khi tâm bạn sẵn sàng thì bình an sẽ tự tìm đến bạn. (Looking for peace is like looking for a turtle with a mustache. You won’t be able to find it. But when your heart is ready, peace will come looking for you) - Thiền sư Ajahn Chah.

21. Một cuộc đời hạnh phúc cần có sự bình yên tâm hồn. (A happy life consists in tranquility of mind) - Marcus Tullius Cicero.

22. Xả bỏ một ít sẽ có một ít bình an. Xả bỏ nhiều sẽ có nhiều bình an. Xả bỏ hoàn toàn sẽ được bình an hoàn toàn. (If you let go a little, you will have a little peace. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace. If you let go completely, you will have complete peace) - Ajahn Chah.

23. Sự buồn chán là cảm giác mọi thứ đều lãng phí thời gian; sự thanh bình, là chẳng gì lãng phí thời gian cả. (Boredom is the feeling that everything is a waste of time; serenity, that nothing is) - Thomas Szasz.

24. Bạn không thể tìm được bình yên bằng cách lảng tránh cuộc sống. ( You can not find peace by avoiding life) - Virginia Woolf.

12 Reasons Why Old Souls Have Such A Hard Time Finding Love

1. They have a strong sense of identity.

They know who they are, which means they also know – specifically – what they do and do not want in a partner, what works and what doesn’t. While this is fantastic in terms of being able to choose wisely, it ultimately diminishes their pool of prospects pretty significantly.

2. Left unchecked, their hyper-intuitiveness can wreck relationships.

Often prone to overthinking because of how deeply sensitive they are, their capacity to worry and make assumptions can break relationships that don’t have a perfectly strong foundation.

3. Many are in the throes of twin flame relationships.

They’re attached or are with people who are not their “forever” people, rather, intense connections they’re meant to learn, and rapidly expand, from.

4. They often have a greater purpose that must be attended to first – one that love would distract them from.

They usually have to accomplish quite a bit on their own before they find love – this is because old souls love deeply, and completely. To be given love too soon would keep them from the other important things they are here to do.

5. They will not settle for anything less than soulmate love.

They require a lot more than just a surface-level, “average” relationship. They absolutely will not settle, and sometimes, that means biting the bullet and being alone for longer than what’s “average” as well.

6. While many people can bring them passion, few can bring compatibility.

Because they feel so deeply and others find them so fascinating, it’s easy for them to find infatuation, but to be with someone who is truly their best friend, deepest confidant *and* lover is a challenge.

7. They’re less inclined to go out and meet people in modern ways.

Even if they have nothing against online dating, it doesn’t always come naturally for them, nor does finding a random hookup at a bar or being set up blindly seem appealing.

8. They’re natural healers, and often attract people who need help, not love.

And that attraction is reciprocated. There’s almost nothing that feels better to an old soul than being able to help someone who truly needs it. However, at some point in time, it’s crucial for them to realize that they have to choose a partner, not a student, or a charity case.

9. They dislike the “game.”

Dating is inherently exhausting to an older-spirited person. Feigning disinterest for the sake of looking “cool” or knowing which faux pas other people find off-putting (how long after the first date do you text again?) isn’t instinctive to them, and can stress them out more than they ever find it “fun.”

10. Their standards are sky-high.

They expect a lot from themselves, so likewise, they expect a lot from their partners. While this is a great thing, it’s another quality that has to be kept in check: it’s more important to be able to accept the qualities that aren’t deal-breakers than it is to just write a person off because they’re imperfect.

11. They have baggage.

People who developed their inner selves quickly did so for a reason: they had to cope, they had to grow, or they had to learn from some challenging experiences that life set up for them. While this is a great thing on its own, unresolved issues can often re-manifest in close relationships.

12. They feel fear as intensely as they feel love.

The degree to which they love something is proportionate to how much they fear losing it, or not being “good enough” for it. They don’t just love intensely, they feel everything else intensely, too, and sometimes, that gets in the way of the really good things in front of them.

I made a chart to clear up inner conflict possibilities for you! Keep in mind that these are just a few options and ideas. You are absolutely not restricted to these particular conflict types, and you can even have your characters in situations that encompass more than just two conflicts if you really want to give them struggles.

Inner concept as one of the Four Pillars (x)

How to Stand up for Yourself

1. Decide to stop being a doormat, a people pleaser or someone who gets pushed around.

2. Start believing in yourself. Work on developing your self-confidence, and setting achievable and meaningful goals. Decide tiy won’t be a clone of everyone else.

3. Develop a positive attitude. If you’re optimistic and expect to succeed – instead of being a victim or someone who gets used - then others will treat you with respect and dignity. In many ways, we create what we expect.

4. Get help for the wounds and the damage from your past. Often people who’ve been wounded and hurt by other people find it hard to develop inner confidence and pride. But there is help available and you can have a different life.

5. Trust your instincts. Not everyone is kind or a healthy influence. If you start to feel uncomfortable then trust your inner feelings and don’t allow that person to be part of your life.

6. Learn to be assertive. Being assertive is a skill – and it’s a skill you can acquire. It involves being able to say what’s on your mind – or to say “no” if you want to – while sounding confident.

7. Be willing to defend yourself or speak your mind. You have a right to your opinions and your personal points of view –so practise speaking up in a calm, confident way.

8. Pay attention to your body language. We communicate much more through our non-verbal cues than the actual words when we use we’re speaking to others – so use your body language to convey a sense of pride. That is, stand up straight, make eye contact and use a warm, but steady, voice.

THE MOON SIGNS AND THE EARLY ENVIRONMENT

The Moon indicates our emotional style. But equally important, it indicates how we experienced our mother and our early environment and how that affected us psychologically. Our early environment and the type and degree of nurturing we received are critical in shaping our psychology and establishing a sense of security and trust. In this culture and in most others, the father teaches the ways of the world and how to function in it. The mother’s role, on the other hand, is to build the foundation of security, trust, and love necessary for healthy feelings about others and ourselves. If this foundation is cracked or insufficient, we will not have the emotional resources to face our task as an adult of providing for our own survival and that of others.

Our family and our early environment are selected by the soul before life and can, therefore, be read in the chart. The Moon and its aspects, the ruler of the fourth house and its aspects, and the planets in the fourth house and their aspects describe our early environment. They also describe the mother and her attention to us. More accurately, they describe our experience of her and our early environment. Although these aspects describe both the early environment and the mother, the planets within the fourth house seem to describe the environment more than they do the mother. And the houses of the fourth house ruler and the Moon describe the mother’s interests and where she puts her energy. If we have been more influenced in our early years by our father or another caretaker, the Moon and the fourth house will describe that individual.

Moon in Aries

The early environment of this Moon sign is likely to be colored by competition and conflict. The conflict may be between the parents, the siblings, or any combination of family members. This Moon sign also may signify animosity or anger on the part of the mother toward her family or spouse or in general. In any case, the home environment is often tense and competitive, and the individual who grows up in it may be tense and angry as well. On a more positive note, the mother may be strong, independent, assertive, and possibly athletic and encourages these traits in her child. Some with this Moon sign have families who are involved in the military or athletics. In general, the environment is more masculine and encourages the development of masculine traits even in its female children.

Moon in Taurus

Unless the Moon is afflicted, the Taurus Moon’s early environment is likely to be peaceful and stable and meet the child’s physical needs. The home is likely to be comfortable. The family may even be well-off financially. The mother is often affectionate, dependable, and a good cook. However, little attention may be given to emotional and intellectual needs. With this Moon sign, security and material comforts often supersede emotional needs. Consequently, many with this Moon sign repress or are unaware of their feelings. Children in such families often follow the model presented them by finding comfort and satisfaction in material things rather than in people. Love becomes equated with food and gifts. As a result, their relationships may be with toys, food, or television.

Moon in Gemini

Gemini Moons are likely to be bright and intellectually inclined, and the mother fosters this. The mother usually plays an educative role and happily meets the child’s intellectual needs. This is a home where education is valued and reading and schoolwork are emphasized. However, the child’s emotional and physical needs may not be attended to as enthusiastically. Although the mother may be an intellectual role model, she may be less helpful in modeling other skills, such as intimacy and managing in the world. She may not be very affectionate or emotionally demonstrative. In some cases, the mother feels more like a friend, a peer, or an aunt.

Moon in Cancer

This Moon sign is ideal for establishing a solid foundation for adulthood. Unless the Moon is afflicted, the mother probably enjoyed being mother and homemaker. She is likely to have met the child’s physical and emotional needs. When our physical needs are met, we feel valued and recognized; when our emotional needs are met, we learn to value and trust our feelings. Feelings are important because they point to our needs, and only by having our needs met can we grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. So, recognition of our feelings is crucial in our early years. It is how self-worth is built and tantamount to being validated as an individual. The Cancer Moon’s mother is someone who attends to her child’s feelings and makes herself available physically and emotionally, which supports the development of self-esteem. On the other hand, the ties with the mother can be too close. The mother is identified with her children and may be possessive, smothering, and overly protective. This may make it difficult for the child to grow up and establish an independent identity.

Moon in Leo

When it is not afflicted, the gift of this Moon sign is a firm sense of self and self-worth. Confidence can go a long way in life. This gift of confidence instilled by the mother establishes a foundation for the Leo Moon’s future successes. The mother’s warm, expressive nurturing style lends confidence to her child. She is likely to have showered her Leo Moon child with attention and affection, so the child comes to expect this from others. This may, in part, be a self-promoting act in that she views her child as an extension of her own ego and love flows from this place of pride. Her child can do no wrong because it is her child. She is likely to encourage her child’s creativity and self-expression and may be creative herself. She is dramatic, forceful, and a show-stealer. The child learns to get her attention by doing the same.

Moon in Virgo

The early nurturing that Virgo Moons receive may be dedicated but dry. The mother is likely to be efficient, orderly, hardworking, and responsible but emotionally inexpressive. She is educated and thorough in her approach to motherhood, studying all the latest manuals about raising children. This care and attention is noticed by the child and makes up in many ways for the mother’s lack of warmth and playfulness. Nevertheless, Virgo Moons may struggle with expressing their emotions, having not had a model for this. Although they may not learn to be emotionally expressive, the dedicated care given to them is often sufficient to build their self-esteem. They, in turn, make dedicated and efficient mothers. On the other hand, the child’s self-esteem might be undermined if the mother is hypercritical and fussy, as is often the case with this Moon sign. In that case, the individual is likely to become self-critical or critical of others too.

Moon in Libra

When not afflicted, this Moon sign represents a beneficial home environment. The early home life is likely to be harmonious and peaceful, and the mother takes pride in providing a home that is both aesthetically pleasing and emotionally supportive. The absence of conflict and argument in the home is often apparent with Libra Moons, for they mirror this non-confrontational style in their relationships. They are likely to have learned how to negotiate and compromise in this early atmosphere, which can later serve them well in their own family relationships and work. The mother might be artistically inclined, refined, and well-versed in social etiquette. Culture and the arts might be emphasized in the home.

Moon in Scorpio

The early environment of Scorpio Moons is often difficult and intensely emotional. Abuse or misuse of power and authority are a possibility, leaving the individual angry or repressed. The mother or another family member may be domineering, manipulative, possessive, or controlling. There is often an undercurrent of hostility and resentment in the home and a sense of deep, dark secrets that no one is allowed to speak about. The secrets could include such things as violence, sexual abuse, addiction, criminality, psychological problems, or illegitimate children. On the other hand, the mother may have been highly attentive to the child’s emotional needs and bonded deeply with him or her. This is fine for the infant, who needs this bonding, but as the child matures, this can feel overbearing and possessive. Since identification by both parent and child is so strong, Scorpio Moons often have difficulty breaking the tie with their mothers as adults. The emotional intensity of this relationship often continues over the years. This deep psychic connection between the mother and child may, in fact, originate in a former lifetime.

Moon in Sagittarius

This Moon sign often represents a less traditional nurturing experience. The mother’s nurturing style is easygoing and liberal. Freedom is important to her and this attitude is conveyed to the child by allowing him or her freedom to explore, ask questions, and investigate life. However, there may be too little responsibility expected from the child and too few rules to allow the child to develop the inner discipline necessary for adulthood. Or, the mother may be off having her own adventure. So, although the mother may be a model of independent action and adventure, she may not be available to provide the security and stability that a child needs. She might lack responsibility and behave more like a friend than a parent. It is common for those with this Moon sign to live in a foreign country or be influenced by foreigners when they are growing up, perhaps by traveling a lot. The military family is an example of this. The family values freedom more than they do stability. They often move or travel a lot.

Moon in Capricorn

With this Moon sign, something may be lacking in the early environment. The mother may be ill and unable to care for the child, absent from the child’s life, depressed, repressed emotionally, over- worked, or unable to cope with the duties of motherhood. Sometimes the mother dies. Harshness is another possibility. The mother may be unloving, overbearing, strict, rigid, and restrictive, allowing little leeway for the child to act like a child or express his or her emotions. In any case, the child receives insufficient mothering. On the other hand, the early home life may be stable, secure, orderly, and attentive to responsibilities, supplying the child with the structure and discipline needed to function effectively in the world as an adult.

Moon in Aquarius

The Aquarius Moon’s early home life and mother are likely to be unique or unusual in some way. The individual may grow up in a household with progressive ideas about child rearing and considerably more freedom than most children. This free and tolerant atmosphere exposes the child to ideas that other children might not encounter. However, although this is an advantage intellectually, the child may have difficulty getting his or her need for closeness met. Aquarius, although tolerant and altruistic, is not known for its emotional warmth. Young children, however, do need close emotional interactions with adults to form a solid foundation of trust and a sturdy sense of self. As a result, Aquarius Moons may learn at an early age not to expect others to meet their emotional needs. Consequently, as adults, they may have trouble addressing the emotional needs of others. When afflicted, this Moon sign may indicate a chaotic home, inconsistent nurturing, divorce, or a disrupted home life, which can leave emotional scars and affect the individual’s ability to form intimate relationships later on. Several moves or changes in the early years are common. These can either cause insecurity or teach the individual to make the best of change.

Moon in Pisces

Pisces Moons may undergo some loss or hardship in relation to the mother. She may be psychologically incapable of caring for her child, mentally ill, addicted to drugs or alcohol, or neglectful. On the other hand, she may be artistic or musical. She is often religious, kind, and selfless. Religious or spiritual activities may be carried out in the home. In either case, Pisces Moons learn compassion, either through their own suffering or their mother’s compassionate care. When they are cared for lovingly, they learn to care lovingly for others. If they have been neglected, however, they may grow up with the same psychological damage as their mother and be prone to drug abuse and mental illness.

The Fixed Signs - Static Symphony
Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius

Time stops when the cosmos is fixed. The fixed signs anchor the middle of each season, the world was spinning, weather was changing and in all of the chaos they became stationary. The fixed signs can experience the still moment in time, hibernating during the peak of the season when its radiance is most potent. Taurus is spring’s fixed sign, when the roots touching the bottom of the earth begin to shoot, when life has stopped for just a short moment so we can appreciate the beauty. Leo is summer’s fixed sign, a literal hotplate that emits solar light, the striking display by the heated summer sign, sitting high and fixed in the sky emitting beautiful, although burning light. Scorpio is autumn’s fixed sign, the season when the leaves begin to fall and prepare for a wintery death. In this way the Scorpio reflects the dying art of the season, anchoring down so profusely that she experiences the melancholic daze of the fall. Aquarius is the winter sign of the fixed signs, in between the two supernals of Capricorn and Pisces, stilling her environment with sterile intellect so wisdom becomes frozen like the snowflakes she immerses herself in. The fixed signs can be unrelenting and likely self ruling. They are attached to their own convictions because they have spent so long in still reflection. Their nature is largely stubborn and difficult to compromise with, but this is because they commonly develop remarkable faith in themselves and their own beliefs. They identify strongly with their convictions, so they cannot be flippantly mutable and simply change the mind. It’s a representation of their very being. The fixed mind is hidden by a thick valley, it sinks into the hollows so every mineral of truth, wisdom, and authenticity can be extracted. This can create a captor situation, because the individual can feel so bound, trapped, unable to breathe, and incapable of releasing the fixed energies. Fixed energy must be released harmoniously with intention and mindfulness, a conscious sublimation from an internal source of energy that easily accumulates and contaminates. The fixed signs experience frustration and temperamental reactivity. They can feel too full of energy and over excited until the state of anxious, and then become overly lethargic and self isolating. This is why their energy must be released with intention, or they often become trapped by compulsion and addiction, because a fixed sign will always return to what they know works. Fixed people are capable of substantial inner development and wisdom. They can develop an intimacy with everything, that becomes a mutual exchange of energy, this is why fixed individuals can be surprisingly sensitive socially and become easily drained. The fixed essence contains immense energy that Taurus directs through the body, Leo directs through the heart, Scorpio directs through the intuition, and Aquarius directs through the mind. Reflection and taking care of the body is important in fixed signs. Imbalanced energy can reap havoc on the physical form causing aches, illness, and tiredness in Taurus, heart palpitations in Leo, premenstrual and menstrual symptoms in Scorpio and iron or anaemic problems in Aquarius. The forceful and yet silent fixed energies express uniquely through each element. The earth in Taurus emphasises the fixed qualities so she immerses deeper into nature and her physical body, sinking down sensually. The fire in Leo is enduring with fixed energies, it’s a fire that burns bright, burns hard, and never burns out. The water in Scorpio becomes frozen emotion as it becomes trapped, often expressing itself through intense and prevailing emotional conditions. The air in Aquarius becomes static in motion, like she catches the idea as it falls from heaven and fossilises it with the intuitive functions of her mind, never missing a frequency.

anonymous asked:

Oh, could you tell me which drarry fanfics are your favourite? (sorry for bothering you if you already have in the past)

OF COURSE I CAN, I am always down to spread some Drarry love around (╯✧∇✧)╯〜♡

(and it’s never a bother for me to rec fics, you needn’t apologize!)

Sara Holmes’ stuff is what first got me hooked on Drarry, I have read literally everything Drarry she has written; unfortunately her fanfiction.net account was hacked awhile ago and all her fics were deleted, and I don’t think she’s uploaded the entirety of her HP oeuvre to AO3 yet, which hugely sucks for me because I sincerely love her stuff and love re-reading it from time to time. I think Mental is her big classic (it’s also the piece that converted me to Drarry in one fell swoop)

Cheryl Dyson’s stuff is just super super cute, I’ve read and re-read p much her entire body of work to kind of an obsessive degree (●´□`)♡

Saras_Girl writes amaaazingly intricate worlds that feel super organic, with characters that feel extremely well-rounded with a lot of nuance and dimension. Her stuff can get long, but it’s always worth it! Turn and All Life is Yours to Miss are absolutely amazing, and I’m really looking forward to re-reading them whenever I have free time ;u; her Turn!verse has one of my favorite written Ginny’s, and the way Saras_Girl writes Ginny’s divorce with Harry is just so beautifully heartfelt and sympathetic; she does an amazing job of writing both Harry and Ginny as two people who still care for each other, and are trying their best to be happy, and also to be happy for each other.

who_la_hoop’s stuff is always gold, I love her sense of humor and her style of writing; her dialogue and banter never fails to make me actually laugh out loud. Hot and Cold has some of my favorite lines uttered by a snarky!Draco, and her fic Tea and No Sympathy is probably my current favorite Drarry fic for how beautifully written, well-paced, funny, heartwarming, and downright adorable it is. Also, her Draco in that one is just so beautifully crafted with all his nuances and flaws, and the way he grows as a character throughout the story is like watching a flower blossom (*꒦ິㅿ꒦ີ)

(Also, I just finished reading Written on the Heart a day or two ago and it’s a really satisfying slow burn 8th year fic with lots of banter and interhouse Slytherin friendships (which is my favorite (๑ˊ͈ ॢꇴ ˋ͈)〜♡॰ॱ ), with probably my absolute favorite iteration of Blaise)

(I intend to do so much fanart of who_la_hoop’s version of Blaise in the future, haha)

Lettered’s The Boy Who Only Lived Twice is another favorite of mine, though I haven’t reread it in awhile (I’m waiting for more time to pass so I can have a fresher read because I am a dork like that)

birdsofshore is another author I really love, she just has such a way with words and so much style in her writing! She can switch moods at the drop of a dime in a really skillful, cohesive manner that makes her writing really fun to read. I just finished Aural Gratification and it’s so tongue-in-cheek that I couldn’t stop laughing p much the entire time I was reading it

zeitgeistic writes the theory behind how magic works amaaazingly, she puts so much thought into it and makes it so fascinating and tangible. Azoth is an amazing read for this and really makes you appreciate just how much potential there is in the HP universe for developing the inner workings of magic and how much life that can bring to a story.

firethesound’s A Convenient Impracticality I also love a ton, I am a huge sucker for Harry and Draco hooking up while being too emotionally stupid to know what they mean to each other, causing all kinds of misunderstandings that leads to convoluted scheming (I am actually on the lookout for more fics like that if anyone has some good recs (•‾⌣‾•)و ̑̑♡)

Also Kreacher and Harry’s relationship in this might just be my favorite thing ever??? I would happily read a 200k+ gen fic just about firethesound’s Harry and Kreacher escalating their passive aggressive shenanigans to really ridiculous levels.

..Um, I’m probably going to stop here because this post is getting way too long, haha. This is by no means a comprehensive list of Drarry that I think is worth reading!! It’s really only the tip of the iceberg and just what I can remember immediately off the top of my head because these are the fics I’ve most recently re-read; I actually feel really guilty because I know I am for sure forgetting some pretty amazing authors who have played a huge part in permanently shaping my own headcanons for Draco and Harry. u____u;;

I also tend to gravitate towards happy fluff so the majority of this list is fics with gooey happy endings, but Drarry is also a great vehicle for hurt/comfort/darker fic, and there’s some really stellar stuff out there in that vein. @capiturecs (who is an absolute saint) has an amazingly detailed drarry rec list that’s sorted by genre / subject / word count / etc. ; I reference it whenever I’m looking for something new to read but don’t know where to start looking!

I hope this was helpful! Have fun going on a nutso Drarry binge where days of your life inexorably slip by in blurry haze that you emerge from in a grizzled stupor (⋈◍>◡<◍) ノ 。✧♡ *✧ ✰ 。*

How To Move On

Whether it’s a relationship that’s just ended, a job you’ve left or a person that’s left your life - moving on can be difficult. But, it doesn’t have to be. The experiences of the past have been given to us so that we learn from them. When you acknowledge what the lesson is - it’s easier to move forward.

The relationships we have with others are a great way to learn about ourselves, because the other person acts as a mirror of ourselves. If you’ve just come out of a relationship - learn to see what it is that you liked and disliked about the other person. These are in fact traits of yourself that you are acknowledging.

If the other person was abusive toward you - this relationship has been given to you so that you learn to prioritise yourself. When you learn to love yourself enough to not settle for less than your true worth - you won’t attract another relationship of a similar nature. In essence - you’ve learnt the lesson and can move forward.

Being in tune with what the universe is giving you along your journey can help you to address the fears that are stopping you from moving forward. When you understand what those people, places and things were sent to teach you it is much easier to integrate the lessons into your life and work towards a better future.

If you find yourself continually attracting the same situation - whether that be thoughts, feelings or actions - this indicates that you have not yet integrated the lessons they were originally sent to teach you. So, you will continue to experience them until you recognise the lesson and apply the teachings in your life.

Acknowledge what has passed, understand what it was sent to teach you and make your next steps based on what you have learnt. If you are tired of being in the same place - start thinking about where you want to be and look at what you must do differently.

We’re all given blessings & lessons - appreciate, understand & move forward.

Peace & positive vibes

I got a free eye shadow palate from Lancôme and I’m kinda loving it! Also an anon asked me to put up a picture with my hair up so here you go! That’s the hairstyle I use when I’m working on shit💪

NEW MOON
Sometimes referred to as the Crescent Moon — when you can see the very first sliver of light in the sky. This phase promotes new beginnings, new endeavors and new relationships. It’s a time for making positive changes, looking for fresh career opportunities and planting seeds of ideas that will be harvested later.

WAXING MOON
In this phase, the Moon appears to be growing in size, shifting from New to Full as though it’s gaining strength. This is a good time to focus on increasing things of your own — knowledge, bank accounts and relationships. It’s a time to think about pregnancy, to increase communications of all types —  business or pleasure. Deal with legal matters if you want financial gain. This phase promotes healing as well.
This is also a good time to cast spells for improving situations or for getting things going if you’ve been stagnant. When life is unchanging, it takes a little boost to amp things up a little and this phase is definitely the best time to kickstart your life. Spells that act faster during a Waxing phase of the Moon are: moving forward from depression, getting out of a rut, passing examinations and tests, finding lost objects, healing a sick animal or finding a lost pet, nurturing abundant, healthy gardens and the well-being of nature, losing weight or trying to quit smoking.

FULL MOON
The Moon’s most powerful phase, when we see her entire illuminated face. This is a time of fulfillment, activity, increased psychic ability, for perfecting ideas, getting your act together, celebrations, or renewing commitments to people or projects.  For some reason when a Full Moon falls on a Friday, these are the best days for casting love spells. If you try casting love spells during any other day, it doesn’t mean that the spell won’t work, but the results could take much longer.  There’s a lot of otherspells that benefit from being cast on a Full Moon too, for instance, protecting property or your home, adding vigor to your life, increasing self-confidence, advancing in career at work, enhancing psychic ability or clairvoyance, strengthening friendships and family bonds, performing general good luck spells.

WANING MOON
During this phase, the Moon is decreasing in size as it journeys from Full to Dark. The Waning Moon is a time of decrease, release, letting go and completion. This is an excellent time to begin a new diet or lifestyle, breaking bad habits, breaking off relationships or dealing with legal matters.
We all face some type of trouble in our lives that is not in our control. The Waning Moon is a great time to cast spells for getting rid of the black clouds and negative energies that sometimes hang over us. It’s a time when you can draw down the strength from the Universe. If you’re surrounded by difficult people and you can’t cope or if you have to tackle difficult situations head on, you can use the Moon’s power to assist you. By casting spells during this phase, you will gain the power to take control again, strengthen your weak areas, and become more assertive in your actions. This is a good time to catch spells that deal with developing inner strength and assertiveness, banishing enemies, stopping arguments, soothing unruly children, calming anxiety, getting out of tricky situations.

DARK MOON
The two or three days when the Moon is not visible in the sky at all. The Dark Moon and the New Moon are often considered the same phase, but for the purpose of this post, I’ve separated the two.
On an average calendar, the Dark Moon is usually indicated by a black circle because it actually occurs on the day it is marked as well as one day before and one day after. This is a good time for discarding things in your life that you do not want, contemplating what you have already accomplished and what you want to accomplish in the future. This is an excellent cycle to find time for yourself and an ideal time for seclusion.
This moon phase surrounds us with a lot of positive energy and can act as a catalyst for immediate change. Many transitions naturally happen around the New Moon like new jobs, births, moves, but if you need to change your life, casting spells at this time that deal with career changes, moving, traveling, increasing your cash flow, better health – would be beneficial.

DEAD MOON
Three days before the New Moon is what is known as the Dead Moon. It’s considered to be the most magical and potent of all the phases. I have read that some witches will not cast spells during this phase because some believe that people who practice “black magic” do so at this time which in turn could influence any spells or rituals that they might be performing resulting in confusion or a spell not working at all. (Sorry horrible sentence, I’ll try to fix that later)

If you ever find yourself interested in studying the moons patterns, you will probably find that your demeanor will change depending on what the Moon is doing. I experimented with this once for a few months, by keeping a diary about how I felt or what I noticed in the people around me. It was really fascinating to find that during the Dark Moon I was very irritable and absent-minded but once that phase passed, I cheered up and begin to feel a lot more grounded. Certain situations naturally occur during certain phases too. For example, the cable guy came to repair my cable on the first day of a New Moon, which has happened before and ended up being really frustrating.  Since it was happening on that day, I instinctively knew that he would do a good job and he did!  NO DRAMA!

Try to find out during which phase you were born on because this will also give you insight as to why you are the way you are. Animals are also affected by the Moon, especially during the Full Moon and can become a bit more rambunctious.

RANDOM FACT: The moon used to be worshiped in many early religions as a goddess and it is always been seen as a feminine symbol. On average, are big, beautiful moon orbits at a distance of approximately 230,855 miles from earth and takes about 28 days to complete its orbit interestingly, the same as the average amount of time between female menstrual cycles.

Fixed people are capable of substantial inner development and wisdom. They can develop an intimacy with everything, that becomes a mutual exchange of energy, this is why fixed individuals can be surprisingly sensitive socially and become easily drained. The fixed essence contains immense energy that Taurus directs through the body, Leo directs through the heart, Scorpio directs through the intuition, and Aquarius directs through the mind

Sense of Hearing

“What are you doing in the dark,” you ask waddling into your room. You close the door behind you same time your arm reaches for the light switch. “You’re supposed to be putting the armour together!” you remind him.

Dean blinks repeatedly, letting his eyes adjust to the light. “I finished it about five minutes ago. So I decided to wait for you. You know, to see if you needed any help putting on your socks and shoes?” he says pushing up to his elbows and licking his lips as you loosen the knot on the front of your bathrobe, letting the soft material slide off your body.

“Yeah, right!” you scoff. “You just wanted to see me naked.” Turning around you take your bra from the bureau and adjust your boobs in the cups before hooking it on the back.

“That’s true,” Dean admits and stares at you while you struggle with a pair of control briefs. “Wow that belly is really popping out today!” He sits up biting his lips and digs on his front pocket for his phone, he opens the camera app and waits for you to stay still to snap a pic.

“Don’t do that, dumbass! Or at least lemme put some nicer underwear! I look like an old lady with these granny panties!” You twist around to look at your own butt and Dean chuckles.

“You know I don’t mind how you wrap your ass, I like it and imma eat it no matter what.” he grins and wiggles his eyebrows at you.

“Gah, I love when you say romantic things like that. Especially in front of your unborn child!” You face him completely and put both hands on your stomach, simulating covering the baby’s ears. “You know he’s able to hear you, right?”

“Really?”

“Yeah, a baby’s inner ear is fully developed by the twentieth week, so…”

“Oops.” He shrugs and keeps his cellphone up, camera pointed at you.

“You’re filming aren’tcha? You’re an ass!” You do your best to run to him so you can knock the phone off his hand.

“Shh the baby can hear you,” he laughs moving the phone away from your reach.

Stop filming me, moron!” You take one of his flannels from the back of the room chair and put it on, even though it doesn’t cover you belly. “Ugh, you’re such a-”

“Ah shh shh, the baby…” he warns and you sigh, rolling your eyes. “Besides, you know what happened to the last person who spoke so freely around me, Y/N?”

“Um… you knocked her up and married her?” You sit down next to him, shoving him back to the bed by the shoulder.

“You bet your old lady looking ass I did!” he adjust the camera trying to get a shot of your ass.

“Fuck you!”

“Y/N, the baby!” he laugh finally putting the phone away.

“Ugh shut up, he can’t even hear me, he’s asleep!.”
