Hello, beautiful person! ♥ Once you get this , you must share five random facts about yourself and then pass this onto your ten favorite followers ♥
Aw, hey, Joana! Gosh, let’s see, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I’m currently reading Far From the Tree, and even though I’m only about one third in, I can already highly recommend it. The book deals with horizontal identities, that is, people whose identities separate them from their parents’, whether physically or mentally. It covers deafness, dwarfism, Down syndrome, autism, schizophrenia, multiple severe disability, early genius, conception through rape, criminal behavior, and transgender life. The author interviewed over three hundred families for this book, so the diversity of voices and experiences portrayed here is truly admirable. You genuinely do feel like you’re given a glimpse into someone else’s life, with all its many joys and struggles. I can guarantee you it will not only make you reconsider some of the things you thought about these conditions before, but also make your heart grow bigger.
Recently I acquired a notebook where I now write down quotes that move me, or make me think. My last addition was by Amadou Hampâté Bâ, “When an old person dies, it’s a library burning down”. I think it’s a really beautiful reminder of what a well of knowledge and secrets each one of us becomes by the end of our lives.
You probably should never mention Vincent Van Gogh to me, unless you’re really into tears.
I get very tired of people whose sole purpose in life seems to be seeking either attention or validation from others. I think you have to be very much open to the possibility that not everyone will care for you or agree with you, and as soon as you make that fact a quiet, but a constant presence in your day-to-day existence, you’re relieved from having to consistently question not only others but yourself.
I have always wanted to spend the later part of my life living somewhere near a lake, or a river.
i’m sorry for intruding a little here, but what really kills me, is what walt does to jesse and he still gets a fucking rolex!!
YES. Don’t even get me started about his relationship with Jesse. It just kills me. Like from a couple of episodes back, when they find ricin and Jesse has that breakdown and feels so guilty about having almost shot Walt and I’m just sitting here like ‘OMG WALT YOU ASSHOLE STOP THIS NOW’. I hate how he’s manipulating him, poor Jesse. He’s done a lot of bad things as well, but you can see how they all destroy him and that he never actually wants to do them. Unlike Walt, who with each new atrocity he commits only seems to grow stronger.
But yeah, when Jesse gives him that watch, I was just a mess. I really hope he gets out alive in the end, if they somehow decide to kill him, I will lose it.
