Part 2 everybody! Thank you for the positive feedback and once I got home, I wasted no time writing this down! Please continue following this story and if you wanna get tagged, just write it down in the comments or message me or something.
Pairing: Damian Wayne/Nightwing x Reader/Pandemonium
Gist: You had a past relationship with Damian, but due to unfortunate events, it came to a halt after taking two different sides and five years since have passed and now both sides have to come together to help save Earth from Brainiac.
1. Harley being Harley.
2. THIS IS REALLY BAD I’M SO SORRY TO DISAPPOINT YOU
3. I’m only gonna follow with what I know from Injustice 2 and twisted a few ideas around to fit into the plot. I’ll refrain from mentioning anything from Injustice: Gods Among Us or the Injustice comics because I’m still confused about what the hell is going on.
4. HEAVY EDITING I GOT A FEW THINGS WRONG SO IF THE SETTING CHANGES EVERY NOW AND THEN, IGNORE IT OR RE-READ IT
5. I had to edit both parts because me and @veenafera had done some math and realized it wouldn’t make sense if reader left at seventeen and she hasn’t spoken to Damian (properly at least) for eight years, not six because Damian left with Clark at fifteen, sixteen and he should be twenty three, twenty four now
SO TO CONFIRM FOR AGES IN IMPORTANT TIMES:
DAMIAN IS 24 YEARS OLD AND IS PUT IN A PRISON AT 19
Even if they are a team at the moment, there was always sides to choose. Batman and his no kill policies. Superman and his war on crime ideals. It was like a political battle, but with more weapons and gadgets involved. Bonus on the alien invasion. Everyone, heroes, civilians alike had sides to pick and there seemed to be no inbetween. No slice of heaven, no safe haven, no light within both spectrum. There was either blood to be shed or swords to be sheathed.
That’s why [Name] chose to keep herself out of the spectrum. She made her own slice of heaven back in Arizona. Her haven confided with her home and family. Her views on how a tainted human life should be punished veered closer to Bruce’s so she kept with him all those years, trying to stop Superman’s persecutions and helping Bruce from hitting rock bottom.
[Name] had lost her mind. She was sent to the hospital shortly after everyone she thought she knew was being locked up or sent away somewhere. When she had gotten better, she still had a this empty feeling around her. She wouldn’t leave her house, sometimes her bed even. She went back to school, but wasn’t treated the same. Her identity as Pandemonium had been exposed and everybody attacked her, with questions or with hostility, for siding with Bruce Wayne. Soon, she was packing her suitcase full of clothes and bought a plane ticket with her mother to go to Arizona.
There were times [Name] felt the need to ask Bruce about Damian. She knew she shouldn’t have left without telling him, but everything happened so fast and within a matter of months neither one could recognize the other and couldn’t face them. Even Bruce had insisted she go visit him before she leaves.
“Don’t you want to go see him?” Bruce asked as he took a seat next to her. He had gotten better, faster than she did. He coped with grief before and she knew he wasn’t the same, but he was better none the less. He was already dealing with the press and handling all worldly problems. As Bruce Wayne, the businessman, the hero.
He had her protected and was kept away from the press when she was being treated in the hospital all those months. He would talk to her mother and doctors to ask about her condition. [Name] was grateful. She had a feeling he blamed himself for not noticing when her
deteriorating mental health, but she made sure to tell him that it wasn’t his or anyone’s fault except her’s for not addressing her problem any sooner.
Bruce was the first one and the only one to know about her leaving. [Name] shook her head, “I don’t want him to find out. I don’t want anyone else except you to know where I’m going. You can tell everyone once I leave a message on your phone.”
The man watched her. She had change. Her old personality, passionate and explosive, had mellowed down and she seemed tired. Older for someone so young. The months before took a huge toll on her and he could tell she’s seen everything in her seventeen years of being alive. Then he nodded. “I do think you should visit him, though. The last time he saw you, your eyes were glowing and every natural disaster that was put to record was coming his way. He was worried about you the whole time and he asks about you.”
“And that’s the last time he’ll see me.” [Name] replied. She gave Bruce a small smile. “He can worry all he wants, I won’t give him any pleasures by visiting him.”
She wanted to go see him, she really did, but there was a sense of righteousness that held her back. It was a childish move, but
there was a part of her that wasn’t ready to forgive Damian or herself after letting him go so easily. You may be on the same team for now, but he’s still the enemy. He’s been locked up in a cell for five years and he’s a stubborn idiot. He’s still the same Damian. [Name] thought as she read the articles that were written only hours ago.
Most of the cities in the United States were disappearing into a skull-like ship. Wonder Woman and Black Adam broke into Superman and everyone else’s jails. A new super, a blonde with an “S”, was with them. Batman released Superman and now both sides are working together to take them down. [Name] blinked at the screen wearily. Is this team even going to make it through without tearing at each other’s throats? Sighing, [Name] pushed the screen away and looked at the map, which was heading to some underground hangar in the outskirts of Gotham.
Impatient sickness wafted around her in the quiet plane. What’s going to happen if someone doesn’t listen? Are Bruce and Clark going to try and take one another down and ignore the task at hand? Is Damian–no. She shouldn’t be worrying about him. Not right now, not ever. The plane jostled around, indicating that it was about to land. [Name] bit her lip as she watched the screen flash into directions of where she were to head once she lands.
Thoughts from the last time she confronted everyone–Hal, Barry, Diana, everybody–gave her the chills. She sent all of them either flying, down to the ground, burning, or drowning every time she saw them. [Name] felt the nervousness come to her and her knees began to feel weak. The plane had flown into a mountain and the lights started to flash red inside. Once it made it to the hangar, [Name] immediately jumped out of the plane, shaking her palms away from nervousness.
Screw being nervous for trying to stop them all those years ago, there’s an alien invasion. It’s time to go back into the spectrum.
Damian’s leg wouldn’t stop moving. He didn’t what was making him do that–the fact that he got to leave his prison or the fact that he knew [Name] was probably around already. Some people had not arrived to the old Justice League meeting room and he kept his head down while he waited. He heard a rustling next to him and he couldn’t help but look up to see Diana sitting next to him.
“You’re anxious about [Name]’s arrival.” She stated simply to him. Damian gave her a perplexed look and she gave him a serious look. “I’ve known you and [Name] long enough to know how much you two care for each other. Even when you two separated, you kept track of her, watching or reading about her on the news, but let me remind you, Damian, what she did to you. She’s even more dangerous than Bruce when it comes to power; she has no control over it and she almost killed you.”
Damian could only look at her, his eyes narrowing. “I’m well aware of her powers, Diana. She can control it. Her mind wasn’t in the right place that whole fight and I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.” He said lowly. Of coursed he remembered that day. It was scary to see her that way, screaming and crying while pulling hell out of its own home to attack him. Damian tried his best not to think about it. He knew she was able to control her powers. He was always there when she was learning.
“Dammit!” [Name] screamed as she fell on the ground. The column of water that she had been controlling ricocheted toward Damian, who quickly ducked out of the way, hitting the rock wall of the Bat Cave. Alfred, who had come in with towels and a platter of sandwiches, stepped into the Cave.
“Miss [Surname] please don’t swear.” He said calmly.
[Name] apologized and quickly went back to creating a column of water, which collapsed not a minute later and she gave an irritated sigh. “Come on! I’ve been at it for hours, controlling this is so hard!”
Damian nodded at her, listening as he bit into the triangular sandwich. “You can’t just master this in less than a day, you know.” He stated. “Eat. You’ve been practicing for a while and I’m surprised you haven’t even eaten within the last thirty minutes.”
[Name] punched his arm before grabbing a sandwich. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I’m saying you eat a lot.” Damian pointed out to the younger girl, earning another punch in the arm. The two spoke to one another while eating, talking about school and their missions until [Name] decided to get up from her seat and pick up where she left off. Slowly, she extended her hands and focused on the water inside the bucket. The liquid pulled up like a column for the third time and [Name] moved her right hand over the left, the tip of the water following. The girl grinned, continuing to move the water slowly around her.
The two, both mystified by what was happening. Damian turned his head to look at [Name], who had a grin on her face as she continued to move her arms around. The water circled around her until it collapsed into a circle puddle at her feet. Her head moved and Damian turned his attention back at the puddle. “You did it.”
“I did it!” [Name] screamed as she ran up to him, shaking his arms excitedly. “Oh my God, I did it!” Her arms wound around his neck and Damian froze, shock taking over him as [Name] hugged him. [Name], who realized that the Robin in front of her most definitely did not like being hugged, backed away. She turned her head away from him awkwardly before saying, “I, uh, should practice more.”
“Yeah, maybe you, um, should.” Damian said back in careful awkwardness. They returned to their spots and the air was weird. Alfred watched the twelve and eleven year old, who kept glancing at one another every now and then, before shaking his head and walking out of the Cave.
Damian knew she can control it and if she really did get better, then so did her sense of restraint. Diana seemed to not care. “She makes you weak.” She criticized him.
“Like you’re any better when it comes to Superman.” Damian replied, shaking his head at her and taking notice of new people walking into the room. “If we’re both done stating facts, Diana, let’s end this conversation.” A loud cackle had made everyone turn their toward the entryway. Harley and Selina, the last few members to arrive, came in, the bubbly blonde sending out a fit of giggles as she kept turning her head back.
“Ya won’t believe who we ran into on the way here!” Harley commented and Damian felt alarms blaring in his head. It had to be her. “Got lost and wandered around ‘till kitty and I found her!” She turned her head to the person who was being mentioned, hiding behind a shelf full of suspicious looking items. Giving an exaggerated sigh, Harley put her hand on the person’s wrist, pulling her out. [Name] stumbled out of her spot slightly before standing straight up again, shifting between her feet every now and then.
“Pandemonium, good to have you here.” Bruce said to her. [Name] glared at him, putting her hands on her hips.
“I’m only here to save people and keep anything from coming near them, Bruce. That’s final.” She said to him simply and Bruce gave a knowing side before she took a seat between Green Lantern and Firestorm. She raised an eye at Hal’s green clothing. “Last time I saw you in green was when I created a mini Amazon Rainforest on you, Jordan.”
“Long story, kid.” Hal replied. “Good to have you back.”
“You and everyone who’re siding with Bruce seem to be the only one liking the idea.” [Name] muttered to him once Selina started talking. She could see Diana’s, along with the other Regime member’s, eyes glaring into her head so intensely, it could compete with Clark’s laser eyes. The blonde with the “S” stared at her, as if trying to figure her out.
Flash, who had been listening to her talk, gave a short laugh. “I can think of one person from Superman’s Regime liking the idea of you being around.” He motioned to someone in front of [Name] and she turned her head to meet a set of green eyes staring at her with anything but hostility. For a minute, the two stared at each other, frozen. Almost eight years without a proper conversation with each other made them speechless. She knew one of them was going to catch the other to get them to talk after this.
But what do I say? Is he gonna ask about what happened to me? Is he mad? A few of the many questions that sped through her head. It was making dizzy. [Name] started taking notice of Barry and Hal’s smirk after two minutes and she quickly looked away, flustered for staring so long. Her eyes narrowed at the red and green next to her. “Do you two want to feel a Level 9 earthquake in this building? Just the two of you. I can make it happen.”
“You trying to impress someone?” Barry asked, raising his eyebrows.
“Yeah, the seismologists.“ [Name] replied hotly before looking away and listening to Selina again. She dared to look across her again once she knew Hal and Barry weren’t paying any attention to her anymore. Damian was still staring at her. [Name] looked away again and she could see Damian’s lips turn upward ever so slightly, clearly pleased he can still make her so unsettled.

Every Precious Batman and Catwoman Moment from Injustice: Gods Among Us
Injustice: Gods Among Us (2013-) is by far the best DC on-going happening right now. Not just because it’s a really incredible story and Tom Taylor is gifted at writing team books, but because it also happens to be how I’m getting my bat/cat fix these days. You can always tell when a writer a fan of the two and as far as Injustice is concerned Tom Taylor is a friend. I give you every precious Batman and Catwoman moment from Injustice Years 1-3.
Catwoman doesn’t make an appearance until issue #6, but boy was her debut a big one. Long story short after the Joker tricks Superman into killing Lois Lane and their unborn child, Superman vows to wipe the world of evil once and for all. Batman and Superman have strong ideological differences, what with Superman basically becoming a murdering global dictator. Damian accidentally kills Dick and Superman recruits Catwoman to console Batman.
Did you hear that? She’s spent a lot of nights at Bruce’s place.
Selina is only one issue in and is already holding Bruce together.
