OKAY GUYS LET ME EXPLAIN TO YOU WHY MICHELE MALEBRANCHE IS THE BEST VILLAINESS EVER
Yeah I’m talking about this sexy motherfuck right here with the fan and shit. This was from the tour of Sound Horizon’s 9th musical NEIN. Came out April 2015. Made by the same person as the AOT openings. GET IT ON ITUNES.
But this character is way older than just 2015. Gurl’s been messing shit up since 2001. Since before most of you were in school. She showed up in a song called “The girl in the attic”.
Now I’m not gonna give you a long detailed post about everything she’s done, but I’ll give you some pieces. This girl:
Was trapped in the attic by her father at a young age, then killed him with supernatural powers
Was then trapped in her Uncle’s mansion. He fell in love with her, and he tried to kill her. But she made him go bonkers in the head and trapped him in an illusion where he repeatedly killed and revived her in a state of manic love.
SHE HAS THE POWER TO GET PEOPLE STUCK IN INFINITE LOOPS OF THEIR OWN CREATION. HOW BADASS IS THAT.
She transcends time and space. She has shown up in several places that are, as far as we know, on different planes of existence.
She turned herself into a magical gemstone that is so desired that the owner is doomed to be murdered by someone else who wants it.
We’re pretty sure she’s a vampire. She drank someone’s blood at least once.
She is a flirtatious seductress who gets this guy, Noel, in the picture up top, and gets him to buy a pair of magic cool shades stuck in an infinite loop where she turns him into a technocat doomed to forever write bad fanfiction of all the other sound horizon musicals.
MEOW MEOW MOTHERFUCKER
She is so bad ass she has literally started to fight Revo, the guy who made sound horizon, and the guy who fucking wrote her into existence.
Here’s the best part. Her motivation is to “escape the cage” that she lives in, and is trapped in even after death. Many theories exist as to what this is, but my personal favorite is this: no matter how many supernatural powers she amasses, no matter how much she tries to alter the fate of others, she is still binded by the confines of the story she was born into, which could be considered “life” or “reality”. Her foil, Noel, however, though he gets taken over by the technocat consciousness that wants to rewrite history, he eventually breaks free. He declares himself content with reality and its hardships, because they all led to the person he is now. No matter how much power Michele gets to try to shape reality, she will never know the peace that is accepting it as it is.
And that is why she is such an awesome villain. The symbolism behind her, how bad-ass she is, her whole history, everything about her is so fucking awesome and I love her so much.
