There’s a reason this moment was so brief, short even. There was no dialogue, no sound other than the background music playing over the show. Because we were meant to be paying attention to the meaning behind it. It follows a conversation about people being mismatched because they aren’t compatible, aren’t both snugglers and spoon like they want to. This was to show that they, these two with the opposing beliefs and sometimes judgmental views, are well matched together. It doesn’t matter whether they agree on details, or can find common ground outside of their work, marriage, upbringing. They both found someone compatible, like them without actually being similar. They’re polar opposites with few common denominators. They compliment each other, fit their half to the other one’s puzzle. They’re in sync, like best friends and lovers, spouses should be. They agree on this. They match. They fit together.
