The Tests In Origins

So I don’t know if anyone noticed this about the tests, but after watching Origins after the Christmas Special, I realized there was a bit more depth to them than I first thought.

It’s an old fairy tale cliche. A fairy or a god is in disguise of some poor old soul and they see if someone deserves a reward or punishment depending how they treat the old soul. This is what Master Fu does with both Marinette and Adrien.

But something always stuck out as odd to me. While Marinette’s test had a lot of possible candidates, Adrien only had three other people besides himself and more than that, there was no danger of a car in his. But after seeing the Christmas special, I see what the tests ACTUALLY were.

There is that whole making sure the person is nice enough to help someone in need, but there’s also the details of it.

In Marinette’s scenario, the car makes a time crunch. But there’s also the crowd. Everyone is on their phone, distracted, not paying attention. The test isn’t to see if someone is just kind. It’s seeing if someone Will Notice and Act. Because that’s what’s necessary for Lucky Charm. To take in your surroundings, notice what you need, make a plan, and act on that plan. The test is not just kindness, but a test on how well she would be able to use the powers.

Then there’s Adrien’s test. The test is actually directly made for Adrien, none of the other three are candidates. Why? Because Adrien’s scenario is harder to find and this is why I realized it after the Christmas special. Adrien’s power is that of destruction. This is a terrifying power in the wrong hands. This takes a very particular personality.

Master Fu doesn’t fall when Adrien is running to school. He falls when Adrien is about to get into school. When it would be harder for Nathalie and Gorilla to grab him without causing a scene, he could be inside before they have a good grasp on him.

Fu falls then because Adrien is given the choice. Does Adrien go for what he wants, or does he go to help even if it means losing what he wants? Adrien does the latter, and now he has to get through Nathalie and the Gorilla to get to the school. Less of a scene, and he’s lost his chance. But he doesn’t show any bitterness to Fu for it.

Adrien’s test was not just that of kindness, but if given the choice between being selfish, or being selfless to the point of hurting himself, he’s going to chose the latter. It’s a test to make sure if the hero of destruction ever breaks, instead of destroying the world, he’d destroy himself first.

OH, “SWEET” NEPTUNE.

While Neptune is a planet that encourages creativity, Neptune can also be a planet that can create confusion.

Neptune in the 1st: You and others could feel confusion in your ego and identity. First impressions are usually inaccurate.

Neptune in the 2nd: You could struggle finding boundaries with your spending habits. You could struggle knowing your self-worth.

Neptune in the 3rd: You could struggle communicating to others what you want. Your mind can feel like a nebulous fog when you try to concentrate.

Neptune in the 4th: You could be idealistic of your family, creating an illusion that could be harmful. You could find yourself sacrificing for your family.

Neptune in the 5th: You can be quite the artistic individual, but establishing healthy boundaries while dating could be a struggle.

Neptune in the 6th: You could be confused with your work ethic. You either work with unique creativity, or you can slump into a confused laziness.

Neptune in the 7th: Your idea of marriage could be very foggy, and you could give up a lot for your partners. You may not know who your enemies are.

Neptune in the 8th: People could take advantage of your finances, and you can be idealistic of sex. You often want to act out sexual fantasies.

Neptune in the 9th: You could have trouble controlling your beliefs, although you’ll be very spiritual. You struggle with little details required for traveling.

Neptune in the 10th: People could be confused with your public persona. In your career, people could take the credit for your work.

Neptune in the 11th: Who your true friends are will be a struggle for you. You may have friends or organizations taking advantage of your talents.

Neptune in the 12th: You are very spiritual and compassionate, but those characteristics can be hard to reach. You can feel guilt for not helping others.

HUNK IS NOT FAT (Long rant)

Ok  guys. Let’s do this.

SO. Here, look at our precious friend and boy.

As you can, see, he is a big boi. HOWEVER. Some people don’t like him, because he is considered FAT. Other people have an issue with the fact that he is canonically very passionate about FOOD, because it seems that it is directly tied to his weight.

But his figure is NOT that of an overweight individual.

THIS is an overweight person.

Compare this man to Hunk. Notice how this man’s stomach sags over his waistband and he has rolls, and how his arms are round and plump. Now look at Hunk again.

His arms are very muscular. His stomach does not appear to stretch out past his waistband. He his about the same thickness in stomach, waist, and hips, and the thickness continues into his thighs, unlike the overweight man, who is obviously thicker and fatter around his stomach than in his waist and hips. Furthermore, Hunk does not have rolls, or “man-boobs” as they are called, like the man above him does.  In the show, his thick body does not move like fat, and over all appears much more solid than fatty and jiggly. HUNK IS NOT FAT.

You know what type of body Hunk has?

THIS MAN is a competitor in a STRONG MAN COMPETITION. He is thick and muscular, however his muscles are not as ‘out there’ and obvious as those of a body-builder, because a body-builder’s muscles are meant for show and not function. This man’s muscle is built to WORK.

HERE is another competitor.

SAME HERE. This man is not fat, he is made up of functional muscle built for extreme function. Notice that the last two men, both Strong Man competition competitors, have bodies that look SIGNIFICANTLY MORE LIKE HUNK’S body than an obese person’s does.

PLUS, there is that fact that Hunk’s Lion, the Yellow Lion, is big, bulky, and has abilities that almost always represent or involve STRENGTH, such as body slamming enemies instead of shooting at them, which the Yellow Lion does on several occasions.

It’s a slight stretch, but you could even say his lion is designed to look MORE MUSCULAR than the designs of the other lions. Big and bulky.

SO, the main point of all this: HUNK IS NOT, IN ANY WAY, FAT, OVERWEIGHT, OR OBESE. He has a strong body type with muscles built for FUNCTION.  His passion for food is PASSION FOR FOOD, FLAVOR, AND THE ART OF COOKING, and is NOT an obsession related to overweight individuals. HUNK IS HEALTHY.

As long requested…a reboot of ENFP and INTJ!!
These two are freakin’ adorable. That’s what makes them the MBTI OTP after all. ENFP is super hyper, loving, caring, and emotional while INTJ is…not. But they have the strangest (yet most entertaining) conversations and will sit up for hours picking on each other and cracking jokes. INTJ finds in ENFP a gentle, kind spirit who at the same time has a whole new realm of ideas in their heads to share. ENFP finds in INTJ a hardy, loyal, dependent, and adorably caring partner (once the INTJ TRUSTS the ENFP, that is). They’re both very nerdy and will find odd common interests between each other quite often; ENFP may be into interior design and INTJ may be fascinated by old world architecture, which means that together they could make an elaborate plan to decorate a home that’s very stylish that they both love. Things like that bring the two together in the strangest ways. However, as with any duo that only shares one letter, there are a lot of problems that can arise between them. ENFP may see INTJ as too mean and aloof, and INTJ may see ENFP as illogical and annoying. Thus, both should be able to compromise and have the ability to understand one another for them to have a successful union. As with any pair, it’s best if both people are healthy individuals of their type, as this will produce an ideal relationship of love and never ending intrigue between the INTJ and ENFP~

Imagine Amethyst becoming all supportive of post-trauma Jasper the way Peridot looks out for Lapis… All like, “Hey guys, let’s try not to talk about ‘corruption’ around Jasper…”

Or maybe the topic of Fusion comes up and Amethyst hastily tries to distract her Quartz sister all like, “Hey Jasper LOOK, look, see what I can turn into? See? I’m a tiger! I got stripes, just like you! Isn’t that great?!”

And sometimes Amethyst meets up with Peridot and they talk about how Lapis and Jasper are both coping and growing as individuals and learning healthy modes of expression and it’s all supportive and wonderful and I just want all of my precious rock daughters to have good relationships, healthy support systems and open communication, is that so wrong???

INFJs and the enneagram (seriously)

Tell me if you think this is inaccurate and I will change it.

1: This INFJ is like your stereotype in most ways. Idealistic, perfectionistic, and has strong morals and puts them into action. They will probably use their Fe to fuel their actions and get stuff done. The last thing they would want is to be told that they are horribly misguided and what they think is corrupt and incorrect. This type may be more SJW than other INFJs. They are also very hard on themselves and strive for personal perfection at all costs.

Most used function: Fe, shadow Fi

2: This INFJ is a bit more your typical Fe stereotype. They try their best to be compassionate and loving. They have strong morals and goals. But they may not act on it as much as a 1 would. They might talk about ideas they feel strongly about and maybe not act on it as readily. They act more on their feelings and tend to be more sensitive. They strongly believe that acts of kindness should be reciprocated and that it is important to hold that value.

Most used function: Fe

3: This INFJ has a unwavering determination to reach their goals. They keep at things no matter what and strive to do their best on things. For them, not showing their ability and accomplishments is a weakness. You can’t hurt someone who is constantly improving themselves and reaching their goals. They use their Fe for self improvement and self promotion. And they use their Ti to make sense of their goals and strategically achieve them.

Most used functions: Fe, Ti

4: This INFJ is your romantic individualist. They are very sensitive and emotional INFJs who pride themselves in being different and sticking out from the crowd. Despite the nature of Fe to “blend in” these INFJs rely more on their Ni to help them stick out from others. They use their intuitions to make them unique and they typically have a more INFP type vibe and have a strong possibility to mistype as INFP.

Most used functions: Ni and shadow Fi

5: This INFJ is going to come across as an INTJ or INTP. They tend to be logical, detached individuals that use their Ni and Fe for analytical purposes mainly. This INFJ is also fairly sensitive but tries to hide any vulnerabilities that makes them appear helpless or weak. They strive for logical strength of mind and tend to be confident strong minded individuals when healthy.

Most used functions: Ni, Ti, Ni-Ti loops common.

6: This INFJ is typically more logical as well. Although they are not as emotionally detached they tend to be more emotional than a 5. This INFJ strives for security and stays away from ambiguity. They typically have someone who is their main person they put their trust in. They also question things readily and tend to not take things at face value. INFJ 6s also tend to have a way of explaining that is detailed yet not detailed. They are full of contradictions and varying emotional responses that can confuse others.

Most used functions: Ni, some Fe

7: This INFJ isn’t as common. They tend to be a very odd combination. While they may naturally be comforting this INFJ doesn’t handle their own feelings quite well and tends to avoid them. They feel as if they constantly have a mask on and despite their Ni nature may be afraid to delve into their feelings and hurts. They also will come across as more extroverted than other INFJs and probably have mistyped as ENFP before.

Most used functions: Fe, inferior Se, frequent Se grips

8: if this INFJ type exists I haven’t seen any. This INFJ would be dominating and intimidating. They would use their Fe to make sure they are in control of a situation and would probably come across as a more extroverted INTJ. They would be intense and forceful trying to stay at the top of things constantly. They would still have INFJ qualities, but may appear more agitated at times. Using their Fe for control. Not having quite as many typical INFJ characteristics.

Most used functions: Fe, some Ti and Se, frequent Se grips

9: This type is also very common for INFJs. A more passive aggressive yet caring and compassionate type. They most likely are secretly very mean to people in their heads but would never say it to their face. Even though they think these things they would never say it because they fear being separated from others. So they don’t say anything in fear it will push the other person away. This type of INFJ will fear things like that but they try their best to be kind and empathic.

Most used functions: Fe

A collaboration between myself, and @varvau

Story is conveyed and built with uncountable methods. A creator’s ability must transcend the Great Lie into Great Truth through varying degrees of Originality, often misidentified with the expression, “Everything’s been done, nothing new.” Lottery ball machines are, mostly, identical but their drawn numbers are unique. Traditional weddings in the Americas happen every week; no two are exactly the same. Originality concerns execution, not the fact something exists. With execution comes perspective.

Ponder the story above. It is about trade, or is it? Certainly a subject, this trade, for an exchange of items is quite occurring. One could prattle endless an account of these creatures sharing daily trade with nothing more said. If that be the inclination expressed, all within earshot must question the extent of that speaker’s exposure to other cultures and their varying forms of relaying information.

“But, this is a piece of fiction, it’s not serious!” speak many detractors of those seeking to create stories and worlds for a living, and later express devout love for, you guessed, another work of fiction. Twelve years ago, as of this writing, I was told by a doctor, who knew me since Grade V, my pursuit in creating stories and worlds was a “fantasy”, that I should speak with her whenever I “wished to return to the real world”. Quite, she did not believe in the profession of writing in general. Her entire practice depends on literature. That she worked with youths only increased the importance of fiction in their development—yet there she was, advising someone against creating new things, and making their own life decisions. I had, some years earlier than this encounter, decided for myself the what’s-to-do. I’ve not revisited that doctor, and never will.

Works of fiction are quite real for their creators, and some refer to their work as children. Readers identify with fiction for various reasons, and to them it may be more real than what is. A fictional world can be fabulous or grotesque, and still escape from ugly reality. Experiencing a foreign culture grants the same effect. One can tell a good story alone, a great story set in a well-designed world, or if they choose: deliver an immersion in time and place. The decision depends on goals.

Suppose you were dropped there, in that market, without knowledge of local culture, and didn’t die of shock at the sight of non-human beings, who bear likeness to our feral beasts, engaging in very human-like behavior. They don’t speak your language, no guides exist in your first, second, third, or any language familiar. Perhaps, you’re a linguist and realize none of their languages match recognizable lingual families.

In your face there’s scent as language, unless they’ve come to ignore or subdue natural body odor as humans did. It doesn’t factor within your ears, the possibility they employ hypersonic and subsonic sounds humans cannot perceive without specialized equipment, but—oh dear— you’re not naturalist with such equipment or deign leave a comfortable living for work in the middle of nowhere without many modern conveniences.

You quickly realize they posses no mobile phones, digital music players, any sort of advanced electronics, the internal combustion engine, telegraphs and wire transfer, gas lighting, and manure piles in the streets from who-knows-what that pulls their carts—if they did, then a copy- paste from the human world they wouldn’t be. How ever will you survive when so much isn’t

standard for your time and place? Maybe you should “try everything”, the worst advice ever given, except on desperation or a four-for-one sale at Inspired By de Sade. Following it may result in your demise.

The Didelphimorph on the right sells textiles and foodstuffs. Isn’t that nice? But…can you eat, let alone touch it? Is the Caniform vulnerable to certain foods the other may consume without problem? We’ve plants here, on Earth by example, quite hostile. Nasty little things like Gympie (Dendrocnide moroides), a perfectly normal horse-killer from hell that inflicts enough pain victims prefer suicide. Or, perhaps, your fancy is Manchineel (Hippomane mancinella), the adorably named Beach Apple. That one, dear, is truthfully a botanical death machine: a drop of moisture runoff from this tree blisters skin and corrodes automotive paint. Do you want to blister skin and corrode automotive paint? That’s how you blister skin and corrode automotive paint.

And don’t even think about the water. Travel between countries on your own planet, and you’ll find water of varying qualities to which the local population is immune, but you are not.

Your advantage is disadvantage. For the purposes of this example, they’ve no idea you’re even present. And, in regards to this specific civilization, where would you be without Jerome and myself? We’re to blame for dragging you into this otherworldly soiree where you’ve stuck a spoon in the ceiling but hey, you’re still alive. What’s mundane and automatic for this place is unknown for you: a language of Color, Shape, and Posture.

Let us start with the Caniform left, so eager to spend money. Upon his cape are two layers. Green, in local culture, is life and fertility while Brown’s is commonality of the every day. Technically, it is an off-white baize, but still counts as Brown.

That he wears a cape, not a tunic, tells of simplicity, good spirits, and the colors that he is newly wed and possibly expecting to become a father or has adopted a youth. The ceremony was not extravagant, a casual affair with a small number of close friends and relatives. Take note: local culture. His own native, that he’s possibly abandoned, may not define marriage in the same way, or practice it. Their definition of the “family unit” having two parents may not be.

Continuing down to his pantaloons, here again Green, and White. He comes from a lineage of relatively healthy individuals for legs carry the continuity of bloodlines. White is preparedness, but may speak inexperience and innocence towards the large change in his life. The Black tassels on the closure of his satchel indicate he contemplated life behind a sword; that they dangle free means he chose against, for warriors don’t wear needless items an enemy could grab and use against them.

On Shape, the leading edge of his cape being that color proclaims he’s nothing hidden and the vertical lines in his pantaloons speak twice: Green for a very stable family with little to no internal drama. White for a family young, perhaps 1-3 generations old, not big enough for a massive number of non-immediate members.

On Posture, outwardly it is engaged in business. His open paws forward money and show he intends no harm. That he stands over the Didelphimorph is protection—he’s watching for anyone who’d steal. If he were bent, leveling their eyes, then an abrasive or unfriendly challenge it would become.

The Didelphimorph also wears a shade of White upon his legs, inexperienced where he is, possibly having moved from another region, or country, and is learning this new place.

Upon his tunic is the survival and security of Blue. By wearing it close to his face, he proclaims status as a merchant who will not price gouge, dependable with good reputation of maintaining stock, and believes in honesty first. The shade lacks vividness; he is not fond for usurping local government. Here, wearing complete vivid blue on more than 25% of one’s clothes is punishable by execution. The golden bangle indicates prosperity, and that he recently wed.

On Shape, the off-white motif of an arch on the tunic suggests inexperience or preparedness in one particular aspect. The style refers to a building designed for residents, and he has acquired a living space. However, in local mental health definitions of shape, it means “halfway to stability”. This creature suffered from something tragic or debilitating in his past, but has over come it. That the arch is placed on the sleeve indicates confinement of some kind, either physical or social. The leading edge, also of the same color, reinforces his honesty as like the Caniform’s cape reinforces simplicity. Upon his bangle, the circle in his native culture describes a marriage under strict contract, the addition of ovals define immense flexibility within that contract.

On Posture, that his eyes are not on the Caniform entrusts he won’t be attacked, and accepts the other’s protection. They are likely very familiar with each other for the money is not set upon any surface, but held. The Didelphimorph, what most would call an opossum, does not have naturally exquisite eyesight. He’s near sighted, the Caniform knows it, and is aware his kind are mostly nocturnal yet the mid-day sun is high. Here is a merchant pushing his work hours into time of day when he should be asleep.

Bonus Material: The Red Textile

On Color, Red is power, therefore anyone who wears or places for decoration expresses it. Yellow carries various definitions, among them wealth. Black is self-moderation.

On Shape, triangles are important. The diamonds consist of two incomplete triangles, a sign of wealth shared, not hoarded. A bearer gives money to richer folk for investments in various causes, pays their fair taxes, and also gives to the needy below. The inverted, incomplete Yellow triangles near the Black X’s tell of one who gives more to the needy than to the rich. The Black X’s themselves are not viewed as two intersecting lines, but four incomplete triangles, designating establishment of inner peace. The Black Zigzag references inner peace despite unpredictability in life while the Yellow lines around it carry a second, separate definition from the above: financial stability is nearly unbreakable no matter what problems arise. Bonus Material: The Money

On Color, the government that issued these notes considers all money equal, no matter who and what circumstances it derives, according to Brown. This includes money from illicit activities with varying stages of illegality and socially negativity. As long as it is legal tender, the government attaches no moral stigma to inanimate money even if it punishes the crime and may deal in shades.

On Shape, the rectangle declares stability of the mint, and the circle is “unchanging”. This society does not rate its money vs. others, being the prime standard. It sets boundary that it does not tolerate counterfeiting, punished by execution for the rectangle is also a block.

Unrelated factors aligned over many centuries, coming together at that precise instant and place, themselves forebears of the future in every aspect where physical and social sciences interact.

This is World Discipline, more commonly known as Geography. Words are not required, though certainly they help. Walk into a bar in the United States, expect a full serving of beer as the definition of good service, and half considered bad. In another country, let alone world, a full serving of beer may be a local means of saying one should drink and leave, whereas a half- serving means stay: enjoy yourself, and what this place has to offer.

Is Universal Health Care Having a Moment?
The winner in the fight between keeping Obamacare and rolling it back might be something else entirely.
By Vann R. Newkirk II

The Senate confirmed Tom Price as secretary of health and human services at 2 a.m. on Friday. After a contentious confirmation process, the Trump administration and the Republican-controlled Congress had finally installed one of the leading generals in its war on Obamacare in the department that oversees its programs. Price is a titan in the GOP camp that wants to repeal the health law, and is perhaps one of the few Republican lawmakers with both the vision and the experience needed to begin the daunting task.

But the battlefield under Price’s feet has shifted substantially in the past few weeks. Republicans have splintered, the timeline for repeal has dragged on and on, alternative plans have propagated in the fertile soil of disunion, and some have lost their resolve. And in the turmoil over the fate of Obamacare, the idea of universal health care has emerged as a third way among voters in both parties. The health system the mainstream GOP opposes most is now one some of its voters support—potentially making Price’s task of replacing Obamacare all the more complicated.

The political appeal of a single-payer, universal health-care system is perhaps best outlined by Jessi Bohon, a high-school teacher who attended a raucous and often angry town hall with Republican Representative Diane Black in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, last week:

Bohon was able to ask Black a question, and she began with a defense of Obamacare. “As a Christian, my whole philosophy in life is pull up the unfortunate,” she said, referencing the law’s individual mandate and how requiring healthy Americans to purchase insurance lowers costs for the sick. But Bohon went a step further in her support of expanding coverage and her criticisms of the private insurers who’ve complicated the law: “Why don’t we expand Medicaid, and have everybody have insurance?” she asked.

Cookies, candles and some care

The last few stories I wrote made me sad. I needed to fight the sads with lots ‘n lots of fluff.

That’s what you get for it. A sequel to that other oneshot I already wrote.

(Procrastination and desperation are powerful fuel, I tell you.)

Shiro should have seen it coming. That did not make it any less horrible.

Ah- ATCHOOOOM!

„You sound like a car horn.“

He threw Lance a glare, rubbing at his nose with the back of his hand slowly and with purpose, a sort of mean satisfaction overcoming him when it made the young man shudder in revulsion, the peevish smile dropping in favor of a grimace. Lance and Pidge had that in common – to be grossed out at such overt displays of bodily functions or, at least in Lance’s case, those of others.

Talking of Pidge, Shiro felt bad for her. This had to be hell for their roommate. If he felt already gross, drenched in sweat as he was and having to blow his nose every few minutes, he did not want to know how she was faring. If she had the strength she would probably be hogging the shower as much as possible.

He watched as Lance cast a look at the now almost empty tissue box, his brows furrowing as he pulled one more out of it and handed it to Shiro.

Draco do you ever flirt with another guy just to get harry pissed off and the ummm make up sex?

Draco: Oh good god! Why in the world

Harry: *blinks* Are they somehow under the impression that we don’t have enough sex?

Draco: I think so?! Listen, I don’t need to make Harry jealous so we can have make-up sex. We fight twenty-seven times a day - we take our pick.

Harry: 90% of the sex we have stems from the spontaneous snogging that most of our arguments end in.

Draco: We have all the sex that two healthy individuals are physically capable of having! Thank you very much.

Harry: *snorts* They’re all so nice though, these people…

Draco: *eye-roll* Sure.

Please don't get me wrong

Back in the day I was Camren af. I shipped them harder than any other couple (real or fake) on the planet. They were adorable when they first started their awkward friendship/romance, but things took a horrible turn for the worse quickly.

It kind of breaks my heart to see Camren shippers still somewhat hoping for end game Camren. It breaks my heart to see Camren shippers think that the two are still together and that the kind of relationship they shared in 2015 - 2016 is something that is amazing to have.

I know Camren never publicly came “out” as some like to remind us daily, I know that Lauren nor Camila has ever blatantly said “we use to date” or anything similar to that. I know that anti’s will be quick to call all of us delusional, claim that we make assumptions, and try to gaslight us into believing we are not seeing what we clearly see.

So, here’s the sitch. Camren was a super toxic relationship, end of story. Nothing about Camila and Lauren in a romance was normal or healthy, like….nothing at all. It’s hard for some people to cope with that because physically, they have always been a perfect match. They compliment one another in a very shallow way (their physical attributes).

Mentally it was always a roller coaster ride between the two. I won’t say that I know every single detail that went on between the two, none of us ever will and that’s perfectly fine because at the end of the day that was those two individuals lives. All I know is that from the time they met, till now they are two completely different people.

Camren was never confirmed, that we know. Camren was always ‘denied’ by all 5 girls, and they liked to make a show of it. They would get fans interest peaked by liking Camren pictures, and Camren related quotes, fanfictions, manips, etc. They ran with the Camren shtick for a long time, publicly denying it while personally keeping everyone guessing.

Well for me it wasn’t really all that confusing or mind boggling. Lauren always treated ‘Camren’ so seriously, and so odd to be honest. Any other ship she was fine with, but Camren? Nah. You mention Laurmani? Lauren talks about how great her ass is. Alren? No complaints there. Dinah and Lauren? They loved that attention.

So why was Camren such an issue for her? Why was Camren the only one denied? That’s Lauren’s personal life, and that’s only for her to ever say or comment on. I think it was obvious that Lauren was going through sexuality insecurities at the time and everything was sensory overload but that’s as far as I’ll go.

Apart from why, we know that Lauren always singled Camila out. She was very mindful of her touches, mindful of how close they stood, mindful of their conversations. It always just looked so premeditated on Lauren’s part, meanwhile Camila always looked so hurt when she was ostracized in interviews. On the days that Lauren acknowledged her and was playful with her, Camila was ecstatic!

Does that sound healthy, in any sense of the word? I mean, let’s put this situation into simpler terms.

“John Doe was in the hallway with his crush, Jane Dover. When John’s friends were within eyesight John ignored Jane. He made sure to pay attention to every one except Jane. Jane was confused as to why John ignored her in front of friends and wondered what was wrong with her to be excluded. Whenever John’s friends left he invited Jane over to his place that evening. Jane was still concerned about John’s actions, however she had strong feelings for him. Jane finally agreed and arrived at John’s later that night. The night went well, they talked about their past, they talked about their wishes for the future, they included one another in their talks. They held hands and were innocently displaying affection.

The next day at school John was acting off again. He wouldn’t hold Jane’s hand as he did in private, he wouldn’t acknowledge her other than cold replies and whenever his friends were around Jane was completely forgotten, again.”

So…in this scenario do you see the similarities in a more every day setting for two individuals?

It just wasn’t a healthy romantic relationship or friendship.

So to wrap up my original point, whenever I see younger fans hoping for these two to get back together, or God forbid still be together, I feel sad. I hope these younger, impressionable fans don’t see that as a normal relationship or one to romanticize.

Camila deserved more than Lauren then and right now.

In the future, maybe the two will both reconnect and the relationship will transpire in a healthy way. It could happen, you never know. Right now, that’s not happening. They’re both very young and I believe one is more into romance than the other.

Sidenote - Ashlee and Camila are adorable together.

Mars in the 2nd House - Demons are a Girl’s Best Friend

“I never hated a man enough to give him his diamonds back.” - Zsa Zsa Gabor

Mars in the 2nd is passionate about values and desires. The individual plunges blind into the internal and material pleasures that satiate her powerful urges. Sensual appetite fuses with tremendous willpower when this reckless Mars spirit is directed into earthy 2nd house focus. The individual is energised in the presence of her physical sanctuary surrounded by belongings and luxurious contacts. Canal desires are expressed through a high compulsion to establish a sense of security, connect intimately with others to sublimate the erotic appetite, and directing ferocious energies into growing her personal assets so internal demands can manifest in reality. Ownership is important to the individual and generates a sense of personal power. The ruby eye with Mars in the 2nd sparkles to reflect beauty in every particle. The human body is a valley she can explore with fascination, the mineral kingdom is an elixir that she aches to immerse herself in, and the sense of touch is a tantalising trance.

Developing a sense of beauty and self value is the conflict characterising Mars 2nd. The inner world can feel like a bloody combat field, ravished with unsatisfied impulse, material command, fears of loss and abandonment, and self worth complexes. Her innate reflex is rage and aggression when circumstances arise that she fails to get what she wants, or she is left insecure and depleted. Maybe she is reckless with money or feels that financial gains elevate her beyond man. And because Mars can be unstable, she may oscillate between each. The individual knows how to exhaust her talents and prioritise energy distribution so the most productive outcome can be developed. In astrology, Mars can be reckless and wild. Maybe the individual cannot control her urges and doesn’t know when to stop. She could streak through so much money, and crave so much material that it only widens her internal caverns, salivating at every touch and golden handshake. But she can also fly through the heavens under the launch of Mars fire. The ultimate enraptured state is attained through the cultivation of a magnificent inner world, dripping with the kind of quality cradle and opulent shelter her creative indulgence envisions. Bob Marley was born with Mars in the 2nd house. One of his better known phrases, “Man is a universe within himself,” relates to the richness of his inner experience.

Finance and business prowess can be natural features with Mars in the 2nd. There is a good eye for scoping opportunities that involve acquiring wealth and trailblazing toward far ranging dreams. The individual can experience a fast burn out and become uninspired and lethargic when desires are slow to manifest. Resources and money symbolise a form of energy which propel the individual through life. A healthy bank balance will have her bouncing, and exhaustion threatens when she begins coin counting. She will also see resources as a great tool of empowerment and amenity to lift people out of despair and destitute. Bono was born with Mars in the 2nd house and used his profound influence to drive Live Aid and promote the more equitable distribution of resources to our most disadvantaged people. This sort of expression blends the financial and prosperity aspect of the 2nd house with the fierce defender of Mars in action. It is important for the individual to retain independence over her finances and be left to work alone in solitude. When mindful, she can direct her powerful energies with refined calculation, but during times of instability she can lapse into frenetic and pedantic compulsions, work behaviours, and spending patterns. The ruby red sparkle that surrounds Mars in the 2nd exists in the dwellings of the inner world, waiting for her indulgence so it can be polished and she will shine like crystal frosts of scarlet fire.

anonymous asked:

is it ever valid for an exhausted bitter feminist to fall back on the (admittedly completely non-feminist) action of making fun of Kellyanne Conway's makeup?

i mean, idk what it would mean for it to be “valid” but

so like, it’s it’s never gonna be feminist to judge women by their looks, but it’s just as true imo that you’re never gonna be able to totally avoid doing it. we are flawed people in a deeply flawed society and it’s just part of life. i think it’s more important to just try to be conscious of it when we’re doing it and try not to give in to the temptation to imagine that it’s somehow righteous, you know?

i also would make a distinction between having an opinion about a someone’s looks, which is only human, and thinking that our opinion about their looks says something significant about them as a person, which is something we do MUCH more to women and girls.

we’re conditioned to believe that if a woman meets certain arbitrary standards of beauty, that means she is a better person, more valuable and with more right to exist. we subconsciously think of women’s beauty as a moral good. (and more indirectly, that women’s beauty indicates health which we also think is a moral good that reflects well on healthy individuals.) by the same token we think that if we don’t like a woman’s appearance, that makes her a worse person. often i think we use that assumption to justify our cruelty — like, i’m not making fun of her for her looks, i’m making fun of her because if she were good, she would have x y or z habits and look better!

i think sometimes we think because we’re feminists we’re above reasoning like that, but i think that can make us more likely to engage in it because we can’t recognize it in ourselves. this doesn’t mean never think about other women’s looks or like or dislike them. it just means paying attention to our emotions and associations around them.

so as it applies to conway: it’s a fact that she’s a fascist, and it’s also probably fair (though of course not objective) to say she has a face that is… capable of haunting one’s nightmares. so like, knock yourself out tbh but just i guess keep in mind that she’s evil because she’s a fascist and not because of her terrifying face. you know?

tl;dr fuck kellyanne conway but please enjoy my many unasked-for thoughts on the matter in general
