in-between

The Winchester Weekly

Here we are, week 20! There are so many wonderful fics and writers out there that deserve some love, and this is what that is for. Go check them out, leave a like or reblog, but show ‘em some appreciation. They’ve earned it.

If you have any fics of your own or know of one you want to share, please tag me in them! I’ll love to read them. You’ll know that I’ve read it or gotten your tag if I like it. (:

PSA: I will not be adding fics onto the list that are pure smut. If it is hinted at, then that it is okay, and if it is in a series works I will just skip that chapter.

Let’s be best friends again and let’s do things friends normally don’t do and let’s not tell anyone about it because this is ours.

For me, the most important spaces to be are the spaces in between…like in airports or lobbies of hotels—when you’re leaving one space and you arrive to another space. Before you start to make new habits you’re really open to destiny…you’re more perceptive…you see things.

1-Itchy: Pronounced like “ichi” the Japanese word for one.
2-Doze: Pronounced like “dos” the Spanish word for two.
3-Trace: Pronounced like “tres” the Spanish word for three.
4-Clover: As in a four-leave clover
5-Fin: An archaic nickname for a $5 bill
6-Die: As in a six sided die.
7-Crowbar: The number seven looks like a crowbar.
8-Snowman: The number eight looks like a snowman.
9-Stitch: Given the time theme, it’s probably a reference to the expression, “A stitch in time saves nine”.
10-Sawbuck: An archaic nickname for a $10 bill.
11-Matchsticks: The number eleven looks like a pair of matchsticks.
12-Eggs: As in a dozen eggs.
13-Biscuits: A reference to a baker’s dozen.
14-Quarters: Pronounced similarly to the French word for fourteen.
15-Cans: Pronounced similarly to the French word for fifteen.

It’s also notable that thus far all of the Felt members have had powers tangentially related to their names as well. Die’s power is based on death. Trace can track people across time. Itchy is constantly on the move and so forth. Based on that, I would guess that Matchsticks and Snowman possibly have fire and ice powers respectfully.

One last oddity to mention about the Felts’ names is the way Snowman is written.

Whenever a Felt member’s name is written, it’s written in pool-table green. However, Snowman’s name is written with the O blacked out. Not sure what to make of that, but it’s one more piece of evidence that there is something unique about him.

I love things being between. I love nothing being certain. It might be why I love water so much; how it’s never constant, always flowing. And why my favorite color is blue with other blues in it. It might be singing, dancing, and acting, and why I love theatre that integrates all three. I love stars because we don’t know much about them, and I love the ocean for the same reason. I love half finished drawings, because sometimes the potential is more beautiful than the outcome, and that’s kind of how I see myself.
