Alex had never wished for super hearing in her life.
She’d seen how Kara struggled with it, had noticed the looks of distaste every time she overheard something she’d rather not. And even though Alex has been a little jealous of Kara’s many abilities at several points in her life, hearing had never been one of them.
I made an Assassin’s Creed-esque coat (some of you saw the progressphotos) and I’m really proud of it you guys! Not pictured: the hood because my hair won’t fit under that shit
Construction notes (for anyone who cares): I patterned it all by my onesie using the pattern for an old doublet I made as a base. The fabric is twill because it’s hella sturdy and hangs well, it has enough weight. Lining is a red silk I magically had on hand. The tailcoat folds are very AC3 and while I wanted those for sure, I liked the red of Ezio’s outfit more than Connor’s blue, so…red it was.
What you don’t see is the stupid amount of stitching detail on the seams and around the belt design, so here are some gratuitous details:
Opened in 1842 under the original name Georgia State Lunatic, Idiot, and Epileptic Asylum, the complex encompasses 1,750 acres. The hospital grew to accommodate over 12,000 patients by the 1960s, though the population steadily decreased due to an emphasis on deinstitutionalization and a surge of patients moving to smaller community living arrangements.
It was permanently closed in 2010, and four years has done a lot to it.
