in love with seri because of reasons

aymaabdullahmalik  asked:

I wanted to ask you, personally what's your favorite ship in Naruto fandom and why?Plus do you like the canon ships?

My day one ship has & always will be NaruSaku. I ship them for a lot of reason but because throughout the anime & manga they had so many moments that it looked obvious. The Naruto I know has always liked “Sakura-chan” (something he only calls her, i find it so cute) & flirted with her throughout the whole series so for me that’s a big part of who Naruto is. I don’t think he loved her out of rivalry. He liked her before they were even assigned on teams. Plus, when he was Sasuke I recall him thinking to himself: “I think I’m starting to understand why I like Sakura so much.” when he realizes that she craves acknowledgement too. They both were weak but worked together to get stronger & bring their friend home. That’s some shit you gotta respect. They were best friends without a doubt and I always liked the idea of best friends falling in love. They did more for one another than anyone else did for them in the whole series, especially Naruto to Sakura. They truly were the most selfless they could be for one another.

that being said, I do ship SasuSaku, they warmed up on me after ending in 2014. ShikaTema is really cute too but the others I couldn’t care less about.

omg guys, there’s this series of GF shorts named “Shop at Home with Mr. Mystery” which originally aired in November 2015 and is basically a bunch of fake commercials featuring puppet!Stan trying to ged rid of various Mystery Shack junk, and I really regret not watching it sooner because it’s a *freaking treasure*. can’t remember the last time I got this inspired to draw GF shit :D

(Bill and Stan’s phone talk is from this short and this line actually made me freak out for a second because knowing Alex, it’s either a subtle foreshadowing to the finale, or a hint that Bill is still in Stan’s mind :)))

Go see Power Rangers!

Seriously, this movie is so entertaining. It’s a good old-fashioned hero origin story that focuses on the team building and personal growth of the characters! It keeps all of the good, nostalgic parts about Power Rangers but put so much heart into it. It very clearly is done in homage to and out of love for the original series and did not feel like a cash grab at all. They also didn’t go totally Michael Bay with it–it’s not a dark movie, just relevant and heartfelt.

Also (kind of spoilers but it’s about characters and it’s a big reason you should see it) …

The Blue Ranger is black AND on the autism spectrum. And none of the others ever make a big deal about it! And it actually proves to be a strength, and he’s never made out to be less a part of the team because of how his mind works.

The Yellow Ranger is queer! There’s a conversation around the fire where it becomes really clear, but her sexuality is also never made an issue of. She doesn’t have a romance (but neither do the het characters), but she’s allowed to be a hero and awesome as heck. Her development isn’t about her being lesbian (or another unspecified non-het sexuality), but she is, and the movie doesn’t avoid it!

ONLY ONE TEAM MEMBER IS WHITE. And yeah, it’s the Red Ranger, but he’s the only one. And there’s minor, minor flirting between him and the Pink Ranger but it never becomes A Thing. The entire team besides him is diverse across multiple intersections (whether socioeconomic status, race, sexuality, or ability). Also, the actors are in their very early twenties, not late twenties or thirties, so they passed as teenagers much more easily and their arcs felt so real.

Basically, the way this film tackled diversity was the way we were taught to do it at the MadCap Retreat. Let diverse characters simply exist and no make every story be about their ~struggle~. But at the same time, don’t ignore the unique challenges that their intersections might bring to their everyday lives.

There are places the film could improve. There was a bit too much ableist language (mostly “crazy” and “insane”–though thankfully none of this was ever directed at the Blue Ranger). But overall it was a nice, nostalgic, diverse update on a franchise I really enjoyed growing up.

Mary haunts John in his mind for the same reasons Irene haunts Sherlock in his mind. They both are projections, reminders, of what happens when you fuck up in love. John wasn’t honest about his love and it ended in death. Sherlock watched Irene lose everything because she fell in love. They’re the ghosts John and Sherlock made for themselves. And they’ve finally been put to rest.

so I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the finale episode of Yuri on Ice being a little rushed and oddly open-ended, and i think they’re missing the obvious reason

YOI was originally only supposed to be a short terminal series, and i think it’s explosive popularity was kind of unexpected- that’s why there’s a weird dip in animation quality around the third episode, in an average speed it would’ve stayed that way but because of YOI’s popularity it seems like it was given a budget boost mid season.

12 was probably supposed to end differently- the podium would have ended up more conventionally for an underdog story, there would have been love declarations, and it would have been a bit ‘and they lived happily ever after.’

instead, though, the massive interest in the series would have opened the door for a possible continuation, and if the story is continuing the guys will need goals to achieve, hence the open ending. Instead of finishing everything up in a nice bow, it’s an open gift that might just keep giving.

just a thought (from someone who has seen this - and the exact opposite - happen to shows before)

After the carousel of emotions that provoked me the winter finale and the pre infarct that I suffered after seeing the kiss between marco and jackie I conclude that I loved the line of events, not because I¨m jarco team  One of the main reasons I saw the serie was shipping marco and star,  It was just a pleasure to see how star who is a girl who only thinks about going through great adventures and having fun with a smile on her face act so emotional and sensitive, She showed so many expressions that she had never shown before and that leave her usual character, it was so beautiful, While the red moon be in the sky will act as the red thread of fate sealing the fate of two souls who are destined to love each other, I am exciting to see how star shows us more expressions of a normal teenager who is not willing to let herself snatch what is hers

Love, Hate Relationship. - Stiles Stilinski Smut

Disclaimer: Kind of want to make this into a series. ILY

Stiles Stilinski was a world class asshole. He knew how to push just about every single one of your buttons and make you practically pull out your hair. The reason you and him didn’t get along was because you two were both super stubborn and always thinking your right even if you’re wrong. So today was no exception, as you sat at the lunch table with the pack, you and Stiles started bickering about nothing really. Scott was used to it but everybody else found it a little annoying but there was really no way of stop the two of you. Besides that, the pack was planning on how to find out what Theo was doing with his pack of chimeras. The plan was to follow them out to the Beacon Hills look out and investigate on what they were doing. But there was a catch. “Well the thing is, the Chimeras are very good at sensing other supernatural beings but, with humans it’s not as easy to track the smell.” Scott said as he looked at you and Stiles. “No way, I’m not going with Y/n, absolutely no way!” He said. “Yeah I can go by myself I don’t need Stiles to go with me, plus he’s really no help anyways.” You smiled at Scott; Stiles scoffed and rolled his eyes. Malia growled “Shut up the both of you, you guys are going, Scott even said so. So just get along for one freaking night that’s all we’re asking.” Everyone in the pack looked impressed but you and Stiles. You really had no way out of this so you both growled a unison ‘okay’. And the rest of the plan was made.

Hopping into the blue jeep with a sigh kicking your feet up on the dash. Your outfit was semi black and so was Stiles’. You needed to blend in, and it was approaching night so black was your best bet. Stiles talked with Scott for just a second longer then hopped into the jeep with a slight growl. “Off.” He said as he started his jeep. “Nah, I’m good.” You replied. He looked at you and for the first time in forever, you didn’t hate him as much as you usually do. His golden eyes glinted in the moon light and his hair was qiffed in the perfect manner. You found him really irresistible but you would never tell him that. As he looked at you he almost looked hungry. “Let’s get this show on the road.” You said while still looking deep into his eyes.  His eyes left you and you almost felt sad.

The drive to the lookout was awkward. The heat between your legs was starting to get worse and worse.  You squeezed your legs together to get some king of friction there. “How do we know they’re going to be there?” You questions picking at your nails. “We don’t, Scott seems to think they are going to be so we go and wait.” He replied. Pulling over onto the shoulder of the lookout making sure you were completely hidden, you and Stiles just sat and waited. With the most awkward silence, you just stared into the black trees waiting for any sign of Theo or one of the Chimeras for about 30 minutes. Getting tired of the silence you commented something that was in your mind the whole night. “What a great way to spend a Friday night.” You laughed and so did he. “What would you even be doing?” He scoffed. “Well as a matter of fact Stilinski I would be having a very hot date with Netflix.” He looked at you again, “Well I would be having an actual date with an actual girl. Not that you know anything about that.” “You know what, why do you have to put me down legit all the time?” “Because If I don’t do it, nobody else will.” When that came out of his mouth it hurt. The fact that he actually does it because nobody else will really pisses you off. “You know what Stilinski fuck off.” You grabbed the door handle and ripped the door open then slamming it shut while walking into the pitch black trees. Stiles got out of the jeep but not immediately, showing you that it wasn’t really a problem of his that you were mad.  “You know you’re going to get lost.” He says trailing behind you. The only thing lighting up the blackness was the moonlight and you tiny flashlight on your phone screen. “Rather get lost than sit another minute in that jeep with you.”  You yelled. Coming across a lake house with the lights lit up, you sat on the bench off onto the distance of it. It must have been a party thrown by some rich snob. It wasn’t as nice as Lydia’s lake house but it was still pretty nice. Stiles surprisingly came up behind you and sat next to you. “Good thing we didn’t get lost.” You just starred at the party going on. The events that happened next just pissed you off even more than you had already been. Stiles hand planted itself on your upper thigh and started moving its way up your skirt. You looked at him with a warning look but you didn’t stop him.

“What baby girl, don’t like to play a little dirty sometimes?” He whispered in your ear simultaneously riding his hand closer and closer to your core. Your breath hitched in your throat from the nickname. A boost of confidence surged through your blood, “Why what are you going to do… Daddy?” After that everything went haywire. Stiles roughly grabbed your neck and connected your lips obviously liking the nickname you gave him. Teeth clashing, tongues battling for dominance, his obviously won. Picking you up and setting you on top of the picnic table, he roughly unzipped your jacket and ripped open your button up. You yelped when he did this which just gave him even more confidence. “How do you want to play baby girl? Hmm? You want to go rough or go soft?” “I don’t know daddy. You’re in charge.” He took that as a yes and started UN buttoning his pants and sliding them down to his ankles then he did the same to yours.

Stiles wasn’t very patient at the moment so there wasn’t very much foreplay. “Sorry baby but I need you; I’ll take you home and take my time with you later.” You moaned in response and he rammed his hard dick right into you. The scream you gave could have made anyone worried if they cared enough but in Beacon Hills there was always someone screaming over something. Stiles was very experience and he hit just about ever spot perfectly every time. As his hand came down on to your back side that’s when you knew that this won’t be the only hook up of yours. The moan that came out of you and the growl that came out of his mouth was so sexy it almost made you cum. “Daddy, I’m close.” You choked out. “Me to baby girl, me too.” With that you both let go.

The getting dressed after wasn’t as awkward as you would think it actually was kind of nice. “Stiles.” He hummed an ‘Hmm’ in response. “Why do you hate me?” He looked back at you as he slid his shirt on and handed you his jacket because he ripped your shirt. “I only hated you because I couldn’t have you.” “Well you have me now.”

Stiles Stilinski was an asshole but you saw a whole new side of him tonight that you haven’t seen before.

Pitch 1.09 | Part of me wants you to leave for the same reason you want to leave.

Why do a lot of people seem to hate Scott Cawthon? To my knowledge, he has done absolutely nothing wrong, and yet people are still sending and directing hate his way.

I’ve also seen people getting REALLY salty about that steam message he wrote a few days ago, but in that message he was literally telling everyone that they shouldn’t let people get in the way of their dreams, and that he believes people can do whatever they put their mind to. What reason is there to be upset about that?

Do a bunch of people just hate him because he made a successful game series? Or, do people hate him because of the more intolerable parts of the FNAF fanbase? Because, if so, there really isn’t anything he can do about that, and it’s not his fault in the first place.

I think he is a fantastic inspiration, and when it comes to FNAF, he worked really hard to make the fans happy, and to create something they would love.

He liked making these games, and I don’t think any of them were “rushed” or “beating a dead horse”. I mean, if the games are finished, both mechanical and story wise, you really can’t call them “rushed”, can you? I think the story he told was great, the way he told it was great, and that FNAF is a wonderful horror game series that took a lot of new routes.

Okay, this is one reason why I love MLP so much.

For those of you who don’t know, in the series Fluttershy is deathly afraid of going out on Nightmare Night (this universe’s equivalent of Halloween). However in this episode “Scare Master”, she realizes that she has never tried to celebrate Nightmare Night before and figures she should at least give it a shot because she knows how important the holiday is to her friends (remembering how she used to be afraid of singing in public until she tried it in an earlier episode (don’t you just love character continuity)).

While her friends try to make the holiday not so scary for her, she is still clearly uncomfortable with celebrating it throughout the episode. Later on she realizes she’s only been taking “baby steps” and manages to scare all of her friends (with the help of her forest companions), but it turns out she’s doesn’t like scaring them.

Now any other kids cartoon would have a story like this end with Fluttershy automatically liking Nightmare Night and not being scared anymore, but the writers knew that wouldn’t be true to the character. Perhaps more important is that people should know that while they should try new things they aren’t going to like everything they try, and just because their friends like something a lot doesn’t mean you have to like it too. True friends understand if you’re uncomfortable with something and they’ll still like you anyway.

Remember, it’s important to try new things, but you don’t have to like all of them, and your friends will understand either way.

Mor is selfless af meta

Because I made a little throwaway post a little while back but people still apparently don’t get the Mor is selfless as all hell. So I thought I would compile a long, rambling list of Reasons and Evidence as to why irreverence does not mean disregard and why taking care for and loving yourself does not mean selfishness.

Right, so, apparently people still think Mor is selfish (w h y?) which I…obviously disagree with. I don’t think that she makes a habit of putting her own needs/wants above others’ (though if she did she would be entirely entitled to, given what she’s been through/the abuse she endured) I just think she stopped letting other people rule her. I think she stopped taking the opinions and wants of other people for her as gospel and acting only on them at the expense of herself and her own wants and agency She does what she loves and she does what she needs but that doesn’t mean she acts selfishly. It just means that what’s important to her and what she wants to do she now does.

But I don’t think she puts her needs above others. There’s a thoughts vs actions distinction here - she refuses to place any more validity or weight to the opinions of others over her own - her feelings and ideas are valid and she has the right to express them and act upon them. She lets herself make the choices that she wants to make. But actually I think the choices that she makes are often very selfless and she puts the people that matter to her above her own well-being and happiness and she actually does this repeatedly.

Variety of ‘Mor being subtly selfless’ examples and analysis to follow.

“Don’t get me started on what you did to me Under the Mountain.”
Rhys went still.
As still as I’d ever seen him, as still as the death now beckoning in those eyes. Then his chest began to move, faster and faster.

Across the pillars towering behind him, I could have sworn the shadow of great wings spread.
He opened his mouth, leaning forward, and then stopped. Instantly, the shadows, the ragged breathing, the intensity were gone, the lazy grin returning. “We have company. We’ll discuss this later.”
“No, we won’t.” But quick, light footsteps sounded down the hall, and then she [Mor] appeared.

Right, listen, this scene flat out parallels Rhys’ rescue of Feyre at her wedding and I refuse to see it in any other light. Feyre suffers a panic attack, she flashes back to UtM, she needs help, she needs a way out, Rhys appears and does just that. Same thing happens here. Feyre (inadvertently) triggers a panic attack in Rhys, he flashes back to UtM, he needs help, he needs away out, Mor is there in a heartbeat. That’s as much as a coincidence as Rhys showing up exactly when Feyre needed him: ie it’s literally not a coincidence at all.

Right, so, for context, this is the first time that Feyre is at the Night Court since…well everything. At this point in time the only people know who about his and Feyre’s history as well as the fact that Rhys and Feyre are mates are Mor and Rhys. This is because the first words out of Rhys’ mouth when he saw Mor again after fifty years were ‘she’s my mate’ and he then proceeded to tell her everything. So for three months the only people who’ve known what Rhys went through and what he’s dealing with due to his bond to Feyre are Mor and Rhys. That means the only person who’s been supporting Rhys through all of this is Mor.

So when it comes to it and Feyre is there and having witnessed the shoe-throwing, less than wonderful reaction Feyre had to Rhys the night before Mor makes sure she’s nearby the next day. She makes sure that she’s around and the second that Rhys gets out of his depth she’s there to balance things and smooth them over. Which she does in spite of Rhys’ grumbling.

“You could be attending your own duties,” he said testily. I clamped my lips tighter together. I’d never seen Rhys … irked.
[…]
“And as my only remaining relative,” Rhys went on, “Mor believes she is entitled to breeze in and out of my life as she sees fit.”
“So grumpy this morning,” Mor said, plopping two muffins onto her plate.

He huffs about it but there’s no doubt that Mor’s appearance was sorely needed and that she calms him down and grounds him. Mor also goes out of her way to welcome Feyre, to make her feel like she fits in at the Court, to be a friend to her, to help her, and to encourage her to give Rhys a chance.

‘…Mor said, swirling her wine, her shoulders loosening as Azriel at last blinked, and seemed to shake off whatever memory had frozen him.

[…]

“A new bastard in the camp—and an untrained shadowsinger to boot. Not to mention he couldn’t even fly thanks to—”
Mor cut in lazily, “Stay on track, Cassian.”
Indeed, any warmth had vanished from Azriel’s face. But I quieted my own curiosity as Cassian again shrugged, not even bothering to take note of the silence that seemed to leak from the shadowsinger. Mor saw, though—even if Azriel didn’t bother to acknowledge her concerned stare, the hand that she kept looking at as if she’d touch, but thought better of it.

These both happen at the first dinner at the House of Wind. Once again Mor is monitoring things carefully and she intervenes - casually, lazily, thoughtlessly, as though she doesn’t even care/is barely noticing what she’s doing but she knows exactly what’s going on. She keeps very careful watch over Az throughout the dinner, reacting when he feels better, intervening when Cass started wandering into dangerous waters and showing such overt concern for Az that Feyre noticed it before she knew anything about either of them/their dynamic. And as with what we saw before with Rhys her actions aren’t rewarded with any kind of gratitude from the people she’s looking out for - but she does it anyway.

Azriel just shook his head. “I’ll go. The Prison sentries know me—what I am.”
I wondered if the shadowsinger was usually the first to throw himself into danger. Mor’s fingers stilled on the stem of her wineglass, her eyes narrowing on Amren.

[…]

“Here we go,” Cassian grumbled. Mor gave Azriel a warning glare to tell him not to volunteer this time. The spymaster just gave her an incredulous look in return.

Azriel: *is first to volunteer to go into dangerous situations likely due to his own disregard for his personal safety and the way he prioritises others over himself* Mor: *reproves him for doing this because he does matter. twice.* Fandom: *oh but she’s so selfish, she doesn’t care about Az at all! She doesn’t show any regard for him/love towards him/anything at all until the very end of the book when he gets shot* Me: -_- A N Y W A Y.

She stared and stared at the Book—as if it were a ghost, as if it were a miracle—and said, “It is the Leshon Hakodesh. The Holy Tongue.” Those quicksilver eyes shifted to Rhysand, and I realized she’d understood, too, why she’d gone.
Rhysand said, “I heard a legend that it was written in a tongue of mighty beings who feared the Cauldron’s power and made the Book to combat it. Mighty beings who were here … and then vanished. You are the only one who can uncode it.”
It was Mor who warned, “Don’t play those sorts of games, Rhysand.”

Oh look, it’s Mor watching out for Amren’s well-being as well as Rhys and Azriel’s. It’s almost as though….There’s a theme here. Shocking. Even though Amren is one of the most powerful beings in the world Mor still has her back and still looks out for her. It’s almost as though she deeply loves and cares for her little found family and wants to protect them, even from small things. Incredible.

And just in case anyone was doubting (since this relationship falls under a lot of scrutiny from Mor’s side) she also puts herself out there for Cassian’s sake too :)

“Cassian helped Rhys get me out. Before either had the real rank to do so. For Rhys, getting caught would have been a mild punishment, perhaps a bit of social shunning. But Cassian … he risked everything to make sure I stayed out of that court. And he laughs about it, but he believes he’s a low-born bastard, not worthy of his rank or life here. He has no idea that he’s worth more than any other male I met in that court—and outside of it. Him and Azriel, that is.”

Against the popular fandom belief that Cass still feels guilty about what happened with the Incident and that Mor somehow encourages this/benefits from it in some way I give you this. Actual canon. Because the only response that Mor ever shows to Cassian’s part in her past is gratitude. She is grateful. She is grateful that he was kind and good and gave her a choice. She is grateful that he rescued her from her abusive situation. It’s been five hundred years and she is still grateful to him for risking himself to get her out of there. And she considers him to be worth more than any other male she’s ever met aside from Rhys.

Mor, on her knees beside Cassian, hurtled for the king with a cry of pure wrath.
He sent a punch of power to her. She dodged, a knife angled in her hand, and—
Azriel cried out in pain.
She froze. Stopped a foot from the throne. Her knife clattered to the floor.

To be entirely clear about what happens here, okay: the king shreds Cassian’s wings with half thought and Mor, with absolutely no magic, with nothing to defend herself, with no ability to protect herself and with nothing but a single, solitary knife in her hand against a centuries old king strong enough to strip the magic from the two most powerful Illyrian warriors in history, the most powerful High Lord in history, and Feyre who has the power of all seven high lords in her veins at the same time launches herself at the king to punish him for what he’s done to her friend. And the only reason that she stops her attack is not because of the magic he tries to hit her with - but Azriel, because if she’d hurt the king then Azriel would have died but at no point is her own safety a concern or a consideration here. But…Yeah, sure, Mor doesn’t care about Cass that’s…just. yeah.

Next point:

But Mor hopped off the bed, opened the door for me, and said, “There are good days and hard days for me—even now. Don’t let the hard days win.”

I’m using this as a kind of catch-all quote for a couple of points. First of all I think a lot of people seem to think Mor is ‘over’ what happened to her? Or there’s certainly a lot of talk about how ‘jfc it was 500 years ago move on’ when it comes to Mor…yet we frequently discuss Cassian, Azriel and Rhys’s childhoods (funny that) Anyway, the point is that Mor is not just magically better/never suffers for her trauma. She still has hard days. She just doesn’t let them win. But that means that all of that aloofness, all of that irreverence, all of that brightness and light and hope is something that she fights for. Constantly. Trauma does not have an expiry date, it doesn’t just up and leave one day, it still affects her, it still hurts her, she just refuses to let it beat her. And that makes her strong af but anyway.

Second thing I want to talk about is how much Mor opens up for Feyre’s benefit. I’m just using this quote for that because it happens several times throughout the book and we’d be here all day if I quoted them all and they’re well enough known I think that I don’t need them. But Mor rips open old wounds of hers over and over and over again for Feyre. She tells her what happened in grim, explicit detail, she tells her how it affected her, she rips open those wounds again to show Feyre that it is possible to heal from them. It’s possible to endure the dark horrors that she, that they both, have endured and still come out able to love and trust and be bright and warm and friendly and selfless.

(And aside from Feyre’s storyline and what this does for her this is an incredibly important message for abuse survivors in an audience as well. Because it’s a fairly frequent thing that we see- especially female characters- suffer some form of abuse or hurt (usually at the hands of men) and as a result they become acerbic and cold and withdrawn and mistrustful. I am not in anyway saying that this is a ‘bad’ response to trauma or pain. It happens. It’s real. But in terms of media portrayal seeing something that actively goes against that is I think incredibly important. Because that’s not what has to happen. Mor came out of what she endured and she came out of it soft and warm and selfless and loving and that’s a perfectly valid endpoint of recovery too. Dark days don’t have to lead to more darkness. They can lead to bright, warm sunshine too. and that’s important.)

This also leads me on to the role Mor plays in the Court of Dreams. I’ve talked before about her position in the Court of Nightmares being empowering (and a perfect counterpoint to the Tamlin/Lucien dynamic when it comes to thinking about her and Rhys and how they respond/react to her being forced to return to the site of her abuse/trauma) And it is. She is given power over her abusers. Her father is reduced to a steward and she is given not only authority over him but she is given his authority. She rules the place that tormented her and that is so incredibly important but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t affect her, it doesn’t mean that she isn’t performing a selfless act for the sake of her court and it doesn’t mean that it’s easy for her (hint: it’s not)

Maybe I should have asked Mor to come. But she’d left after dinner, pale-faced and jumpy, ignoring Cassian’s attempt to speak with her.
[…]
“How was your visit to the Court of Nightmares?”
She paused, her face going uncharacteristically pale. “Fine. It’s always a delight to see my parents. As you might guess.”
[…]
“I’m sorry—for all that you endured.”
“Thank you,” she said, coming over to watch me. “Visiting them always leaves me raw.”

All of these are Mor’s direct responses either facing a trip to the CoN (the first quote) or after visiting them (the second). Yes Mor is in a position of power over her abusers. Yes that is, in a sense, empowering and likely helpful in terms of her recovery. But the fact is that she does, and has for centuries, returned to the place that she was abused and tortured and traumatised. It’s like what Feyre does at the end of ACOMAF - returning to the Spring Court with Tamlin for the good of her court. Except Mor has been doing this for hundreds of years, even though it leaves her raw, even though it can still make her panicky and upset. She does it. Which makes her brave and selfless as all hell I will fight you on this point.

More things:

Cassian realized I was in one piece and hurtled for Rhys, who was struggling to rise, mud covering his bare skin, but Mor—Mor saw my face.
I went up to her, cold and hollow. “I want you to take me somewhere far away,” I said. “Right now.” I needed to get away—needed to think, to have space and quiet and calm.
Mor looked between us, biting her lip.
“Please,” I said, and my voice broke on the word.
Behind me, Rhys moaned my name again.
Mor scanned my face once more, and gripped my hand.
We vanished into wind and night.

 […]

“Still recovering, but fine. Pissed at me, of course, but he can shove it.
I combined Mor’s yellow gold with the red I’d used for the Illyrian wings, and blended until vibrant orange emerged. “Thank you—for not telling him I was here.”
A shrug.

Again Mor puts other people’s needs over own. She took Feyre away from Rhys - knowing it would hurt Rhys, knowing it would upset him, knowing that Feyre was forcing her to choose a side but choosing it anyway. Then she dismisses Rhys being angry with her and Feyre’s thanks for what it cost her to help her and keep her location from Rhys (I’m pretty sure Rhys didn’t just politely ask her this once over a cup of tea and then let the matter drop. Not if Mor describes him as being pissed at her)

Even more evidence:

It was satisfactory enough to my mate—who at last looked at Mor.
She nodded once, but said, “I know my orders.”
I wondered what those might be—why I hadn’t been told—but she gripped my hand.
[…]
Mor kept at my side, constantly monitoring. The last line of defense.
If Cassian and Azriel were hurt, I realized, she was to make sure I got out by whatever means. Then return.

Right to make this part even more explicit, because I think the difficulty here of what Mor has to do is possible to be underrated and I want there to be no doubt: before they went to infiltrate Hybern Rhys ordered Mor to leave Cassian and Azriel, two of the people she loves most in the world, behind if they were injured in order to get Feyre to safety. And this is something that Mor agreed to and acknowledged and I have no doubt would have done if the need had arisen. And then, once she had gotten Feyre to safety, she herself would have returned and put herself in an incredible amount of danger to get them back.

This is like….the dictionary definition of selflessness idk what to tell you any more okay.

Is this enough? Do I need to say more? Or can we just, like re-read ACOMAF and remind ourselves what an incredible specimen of pure selfless goodness Morrigan is?

TL;DR: Mor is selfless af and I will fight you on this point. That is all.

Sarah J. Maas is the queen of tackling love triangles, seriously. In ACOTAR, you’re like “ugh she’ll have to choose between Tamlin and Rhysand how will she ever” but then it’s like Tamlin doesn’t stand a chance. There are no teams, there is only Rhys and no one else. In TOG, you’re torn between Dorian and Chaol, both bringing something to the table. And then, SIKE, it’s none of them. Rowan swoops in like “hello, it’s me” and it’s done. There is no one else for her. Rowan is it. Rhysand and Rowan make these love triangles null basically. Sarah shows how just because they were there first, doesn’t mean they will be who you end up with. I could say so much more but basically this is one of the many reasons why I love Sarah J. Maas and both of her series.

Before you type out some shitty Discourse™ about Yuri On Ice, consider this tweet by one of the show’s two directors

The entire purpose of YOI is not to appeal to fujoshi or to bait anyone. It is meant to be a safe world for same-gender-loving people to find comfort in. Think about the significance of a Russian character and a Japanese character – men from countries where gay marriage isn’t even legalized – NOT experiencing homophobia.

Think about the fact that we all KNOW homophobia exists and is terrible, including these Japanese directors. Think about how lgbt people suffer because of homophobia. WE ALL KNOW IT IS REAL. For the creators of YOI to create a refuge for us is TOUCHING and for people in this fandom to be reaching for reasons to call it problematic shows a basic disregard for the fact that some of us same-gender-loving ppl need hope and comfort in the media we consume.

Also, consider how fucked up it is to complain that a series doesn’t have enough homophobia. The fuck?

I, personally, will be disowned if I come out to my parents bc they cling to homophobic cultural beliefs. And speaking from that perspective…well, if I wanted to see homophobia, I’d go home to my parents. I’d go on any social media and read people’s stories about experiencing homophobia. I’d look at literally any piece of western media involving gay people. I’d look at most anime with gay ppl in them. Etc etc. homophobia is everywhere. It’s not rare. What IS rare is media where a same-gender couple is healthy and happy and uplifts each other and everyone cheers when they get engaged.

I’m going to tag this excessively so everyone complaining can see it and maybe, possibly, if they are humble enough, can understand and perhaps stop being shitty.

“I don’t understand why they keep picking on you. You’re the scariest one out of us all.” Eric said as you washed the blood off of your hands.

“Don’t joke, Eric, I’m not entirely proud of what I did.” You said thinking back to the group of guys who’d cornered you thinking they could push you around because you were an amity transfer.

“I’m not joking. I’m glad you can take care of yourself; it’s one of the reasons I love you.” Eric said wrapping his arms around your waist from behind and resting his head on your shoulder.

“I love you too.”

What Did You Just Say? (Part Two)

Summary: The team has found a way to annoy Bucky, but you’re not sure what’s going on.

Word Count: 426

Warnings: None

A/N: Okay, first of all, you’re all crazy and I love you for it. The feedback on part one has been absolutely insane and it’s amazing. This is going to be short (five part) drabble series because I miss Bucky. Also @bengalikutti is the reason this is happening. Bless her.

He sat across from you, blue eyes bright and shining despite the fact that everyone else was barely awake and grouchy. Sam and Natasha were leaning on each other, Natasha’s eyes closed and her breakfast untouched. Sam was actively fighting to keep his eyes open.

I don’t understand where this fandom mentality comes from that everyone has to like all the characters within a book/series/movie? And people start fighting you if you don’t like one character to the same extent as they do?

Like, be happy that people enjoy their favourite character (or ship). That they are so inspired by them that they write fanfic, draw fanart or develop headcanons for them. They share their love and you can do the same with your favourite characters - that’s the point of fandom.

But attacking other fans because they don’t include every single character for reasons that they are entirely their own? It doesn’t matter if you agree or not. Everyone has preferences and they are allowed to have them.

Seriously, since “Winter” was released, this fandom has become a minefield.
And I don’t mean that the character of Winter changed it, but it’s the tone of the discussions. It’s not so much about respectful, informative discussions anymore. It’s gotten nasty with a few people insulting and bullying other fans for their preferences with a self-righteousness that is seriously uncalled for.

Because now, if you don’t include a certain character, you are called out for whatever inane reason. I once got the question once why I didn’t include a certain ship for a story idea I had. Why is that any of their concern? It’s my story idea, either you like it or not but I’m not playing character bingo and include everyone just because the fandom thinks I have to because they are in the original story. That’s what fanfic is for, to expand on the characters you love, maybe all of them or just one of them, but that isn’t anyone’s business. If I see a story tagged with Character X, I’m not asking the author, “hey, where’s Character Y?” That story isn’t for me, so I move on to stories that are.

Because here’s the thing: No one owes you anything.

No one has to write a fic you enjoy.

No one has to draw a fanart that you can reblog.

No one has to spend their time of the day on characters they don’t like just because they feel pressured to do so.

But: Everyone deserves respect. Or, at least, just because someone has a different opinion, it doesn’t give you the right to insult them. Opinions are not facts.

You don’t have to agree with someone but it’s not too much to ask to treat them with a minimum of respect. Especially over something as personal and random as favourite characters/ships.

For next year, I do hope we leave this kind of mentality behind us, so people can resume creating content they enjoy for people who appreciate it, without being attacked for not doing it as some people might see fit. I’m not naive, I know there will always be drama and shipper wars or whatever. But this year, it was no fun being in the TLC fandom. And I say this especially in regard to the TLC shipweeks.

The creators of shipweeks are putting a lot of effort into it. The fans are putting a lot of effort into their work, too. So, if you are not happy that your character/ship/brotp isn’t as included as much as you would like, create your own content. Spread the love. But respect other people’s choices.

And for every other fan: Just have lots of fun with TLC, with your favourite characters and ships and don’t let anyone tell you that you aren’t allowed to.

What other reason is there for John Watson looking so tired in TLD as Sherlock puts on that deerstalker other than Culverton Smith using a form of psychotherapy to convince Sherlock the way he loves is wrong? Sherlock is rejecting his natural instincts just as John is 100% ready to commit. The Lying Detective is going to have a John Watson who’s obviously ready for a relationship with Sherlock, but a Sherlock who shies away from such an act because he’s sick enough to believe how he feels is wrong. That his love is a “deep dark secret”. This is going to be about them conquering the last thing that stands in their way, the thing that’s been in their way for the last 130 years: relentless homophobia in the media.
