i have a funny story to tell you (this is fsm in case you don’t wanna read the tags yet)
so, i’ve been super busy lately what with performing a musical and all and then preparing to hit the ground running with a spring play that had rehearsals starting the week after it finished (sorry i didn’t tell you!)
and so, i decided to start up again now that i had the weekend to myself and i selected a commission to do. this one ended up looking pretty easy! (that may have been why i selected it. sorry, but i’m super worn-out)
THE THING IS, THE GUN THAT’S COVERING HALF OF HER BODY + HER SUPER WIDE STANCE? MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO FIGURE OUT ITS PROPORTION TO HER WAISTLINE, WHICH MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCURATELY ATTACH THE LEG AND MAKE IT LOOK GOOD AS IF SHE WAS ACTUALLY BAYONETTA FROM THE WAIST DOWN.
voila. that’s how this picture came to be one of the hardest (and yet, surprisingly not super time-consuming) pieces that i’ve ever done.
Look at this amazing wisteria on the way to the supermarket/in the park where teenagers discreetly skin up by the fountain. It must really mess with their Tough Urban Aesthetic but they seem ok with it

First time trying out colorwork and it went okay! This is using a kinda Fair Isle technique that I bullshitted the pattern for. The hat as a whole is a weird size because I used the wrong gauge needle and ran out of yarn.
Got a good plan for the Doomtree pattern Imma try to do for my brother’s birthday though!
