in a kingdom of far far away

Annabel Blackthorn - Lady Midnight

“Annabel Lee” - Edgar Allan Poe

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
  By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea,
But we loved with a love that was more than love—
  I and my Annabel Lee—
With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven
  Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
  My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsmen came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,
  Went envying her and me—
Yes!—that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we—
Of many far wiser than we—
And neither the angels in Heaven above
Nor the demons down under the sea
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
  Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;

For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
  Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
  Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling—my darling—my life and my bride,
In her sepulchre there by the sea—
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

Maybe repentance isn’t a threat at all; maybe it’s an invitation. Maybe, “repent for the kingdom of God is at hand” means “hey, walk away from that junk, because there’s a better way that’s here.” Maybe repentance is God’s way of saying, “I have such deeper waters for you to swim in.” Maybe repentance is Jesus’ way of saying, “Listen, you can live that way, but it’s just going to bring you pain. There’s life over here if you want it. There’s healing over here if you want it. Won’t you walk this way? Oh, I know, I know, I know. I know your shame; I know your guilt; I know your despair; I know you think that I heal everybody else, but you’ve just gone too far; I get it. My yoke is easy, My burden is light. Come on. Walk away. Come to Me. Approach My power with confidence that it can heal you. Approach My power, knowing that that guilt and shame and despair that you feel, I felt, and I long to lift it from you. I long to lift it from you.” That’s the Gospel.

Conflicting views of the new ending

Tododeku shippers: Clearly the cold-hearted Prince Todoroki has his heart melted by sweet squire Izuku, and eventually their squire and knightly prince relationship changes to a heated romance during their quest.

Bakudeku/Katsudeku shippers: No clearly it’s about the wild Dragon King Bakugou being tamed by the sweet and determined disposition of Midoriya, with the two eventually forming an equal relationship after Balugou gets past his initial anger and jealousy.

Me, a poly: TodoBakudeku where the incredibly gutsy and hard-headed knight Izuku proves his worth to both Bakugou and Todoroki through his fighting skills and generous disposition, causing the two to come to terms with their own internal problems as well as interest in the knight. Cue the two attempting to prove themselves to Izuku by making themselves better people and fighting to their highest potential, which encourages Izuku to do the same. However, along the way the three realise their mutual like for one another, and after they defeat the great evil in the land they make their own kingdom (far far far away from that arsehole King Endeavour and the shitty kingdom Todoroki once was confined to) and proceed to carve out a new era of peace through their equal status of lovers and kings.

Reggie x Reader: Fingers and thumbs, baby. (Epilogue)

Plot: When Reggie and (Y/N) have been bestfriends their whole lives but the universe had other plans.

Samantha stole another glance at the tall, gorgeous boy that seemed so keen on listening to everything that was coming out of their boring professor’s mouth. He was popular and friendly but still somehow remained a mystery, always kept to himself. Everybody was practically in love with him because aside from his well-built physique, friendly nature, and willingness to help those who need it he had this certain aura of vagueness around him which seemed to drag everyone in, makes them want to unlock more. As if there is so much more to be discovered aside from the glimpses of personalities he shows the world but nobody ever had the chance to be that close. Everybody knew him but at the same time nobody actually did.

When their professor finally ended his discussion Samantha stood up, ready to take the first step to become the first person to have the honor of actually knowing Reggie Mantle.

Or so she thought.

“H-Hey, Reggie?”

He looked at her before gracing her with a smile, making her heart beat twice as fast. “Hey, Samantha,” He adjusted his gym bag on his shoulders, probably preparing himself for his daily training. “Need anything?”

“Y-Yeah, actually, I was wondering,” she closed her eyes for a second to gather some courage. “Would you – would you like to get some coffee with me? Some time? If you’re not too busy.”

She swallowed as she waited for his response, afraid to look at his face for any sign of rejection. Then she heard a sigh and knew it was game over. She heard the stories, the rumors, how no one stood a chance because:

“Sorry, Sam,” Reggie really sounded sympathetic and she hated it. “I – I have someone –“

“I know.”  Samantha smiled, sadly, successfully cutting him off. She looked up at him despite the pain. “What a lucky girl.” She whispered more to herself than anything but Reggie seemed to hear it.

Reggie smirked before shaking his head. “You got it all mixed up, Sam.” Reggie said. “I’m the one who got lucky.”

He patted her head before walking away.

“W-What’s her name?” Samantha asked. Curious as to who got this beautiful boy’s fancy and got him hooked that he couldn’t even look at another girl ever again. Reggie’s mind immediately went to the memory of your smile, the way you’re hair danced messily in the wind when you were in the passenger seat of his car, the echo of your laugh in his room as you wore his shirt while running your hand across his hair, your beautiful 5 o’clock shadow as you stared outside the windows of Pop’s with the neon lights making you look ethereal and seraphic.

Samantha noticed that Reggie’s mind seemed to disappear to a happy place because he beamed, almost shining with happiness. Another glimpse, she thought, Reggie was really full of surprises and secrets.

“If I tell you, I might have to kill you.”

All the boys stared as Cheryl and (Y/N) walked together, with their arms crossed, talking quietly among themselves. How the meanest and nicest girls of the entire building managed to become bestfriends was beyond them but they would be lying if they say they weren’t a sight to behold. Especially (Y/N), known to be the kindest soul to ever grace their halls, who was always willing to extend a helping hand and always treat everybody with respect. A lot of boys tried to win her heart but none was very successful, in fact not qa single one even came close, because aside from the Red Widow by her side, a nickname she earned because of her careful yet poisonous words and her dedication to guard the little angel of New York University everybody gets the same response from her every time: a kind rejection. The kind of rejection that makes them feel bad for even trying and putting her through the dilemma of even rejecting them.

One poor soul gripped the bouquet of roses in his hands before daring to walk towards their table and try his luck, eyes on the back of (Y/N)’s head. He gave himself a mental pep talk trying not to chicken out but all of those words of inspiration and prayers were obliterated when he caught Cheryl’s eyes.

Cheryl seemed bored and emotionless, head resting on her palm, as she stared at another clueless boy trying to vouch for her bestfriend’s affection. She gave him the smallest glare, which usually meant ‘scram’ or ‘fuck off’, and smirked as she saw him make a 90 degree turn before walking out straight out the library.

“Cherry, stop scaring people.” (Y/N), who apparently wasn’t really focusing on her advanced reading, chuckled. “You’ll never get a boyfriend if you keep that up.”

Cheryl scoffed and flipped her long, almost fiery in this lighting, red hair. “Nobody deserves me, darling, and we both know it.”

“No we don’t,” You stared at her. “You should give them a chance.”

“That’s rich coming from you, sweetie.” Cheryl shot back making you blush. “Why don’t you give those unfortunate souls who are just begging for a glance from the angel of their dreams, a chance?”

You blushed even more. “You—I – You know I’m not into that, Cherry.”

“Uh-huh, yeah, who you tryna fool?” Cheryl smirked, crossing her arms across her chest and leaning back on her chair. “And please, he was carrying roses, how cliché right? The right man would know you’re more of a sunflower girl.” She smirked. “Too bad the right man is in a far far away kingdom.”

You managed to give her a glare despite the heat on your face but she just laughed at your effort in looking mad. You just rolled your eyes, heart beating a little too fast at the memory of him.

“I’m just, such a good friend.” Cheryl dramatically fanned her face, as if she was about to cry, speaking a little too loudly in the library. “That bastard better be fucking grateful and buy me a Victorian-inspired mansion for all my effort in making sure his lil’ lovebird doesn’t get snatched by worthless peasants.”

“Cherry stop,” you whined trying to remove the attention away from the two of you, knowing nobody would have the guts to try and make her quiet but you.

“I’m gonna guilt-trip him his whole life, you just wait.”

“We don’t even know if he is still single.”

“Oh, we know.”

“How? I mean have you seen him? Boy’s like that doesn’t stay single for very long time in college.”

“Because I know him, and that boy is about as gone for you as you are for him,” Cheryl stated confidently. “And if you weren’t sure he is single, why are you still rejecting everybody left and right? Unless …”

“You are crazy.” You shook your head, not wanting to feed yourself any more false hopes. You don’t even know where in God’s green Earth he was staying at right now. You haven’t talked for almost four years now. You could but you decided not to because getting a little taste of that heaven will make you want him and miss him more and you don’t want to be running back to him when you are this close to your goal. That reunion will have to wait, and it seems like he was thinking the same thing, too.

Is he treating himself well?

Is he surrounded by good people?

Is he happy?

Does anything remind him of you? Even for just a second?

“(Y/N),” Cheryl was staring at something in her phone, eyes wide in shock. Whatever it was must be something big to actually surprise Cheryl. Cheryl shoved her phone at you as you read the article about a certain raven-haired boy that just won the Nationals in Indiana. “Point six hundred million for Cheryl. God, I hate being right all the time”

You ignored her as you read how Reggie Mantle, the captain, basically carried the whole game towards their victory with his agility, strategy, and strength. You reread the last paragraph of the article:

Mantle is not only a spectacular athlete but he is also an outstanding student with his top marks which will result to the possibility of him graduating as the top of his class. How he managed to balance his responsibilities, Reggie Mantle gave us an answer that left more questions than answers:

“You could say I have a pretty solid foundation and inspiration.” He said with a grin. “Though she is probably studying hard in New York too.”

Who is this mysterious lady that snatched Reggie Mantle’s heart? The world may never know.

“Hey man,” Reggie returned back to Earth when he heard his roommate, soon to be ex-roommate, in their toga with a big grin on his face. “I’ll see you around, yeah?”

Reggie took his hands and gave him a half-hug and a pat on the back. “I’ll see you.”

Jake plopped down on his bed, one last time probably. “Can’t believe you’re going pro, man. That’s big.”

“I know,” Reggie chuckled, picking up a football from the ground. “Even I still can’t believe it.”

“Well, as for me it’s the boring old office work.”

Reggie gave him a look before throwing at him the football which he caught with a lot of effort. “Shut up, Jake, you got a girlfriend who’s smart. She got you.”

Jake smirked. “Yeah she’s still pretty bummed about not getting that journalism job. She really wanted it.”

“I can’t believe someone actually beat Janine. Must be some miracle.” Jake’s girlfriend, Janine, was like a machine when it comes to her studies. So it came as a shock to everyone when she came barging in their room crying about how she did not get accepted to her dream job.

“Yeah, she told me it was taken by some monster that graduated from New York,” Jake chuckled. “Kept whining how the world is unfair cause the said monster was drop dead gorgeous, smart, and is now holding her dream job by the neck on her first try.”

“Wai- wait, back up,” Reggie stood up. “Did … did Janine say what the name of this said New York monster was?”

Jake seemed to think for a second and Reggie was literally on his tiptoes from the suspense. “I forgot man, I guess it was (Y/N) or something? I forgot the last na—“

Jake was cut off by Reggie’s jaw dropping in shock before genuinely laughing. Throughout their four years of being friends Jake has never seen Reggie this happy, even during his championship game. Reggie looked at Jake who was looking at him as if he grew a second head.

“Holy shit! I’m so sorry, man.” Reggie laughed once more, patting his shoulders sympathetically. “In behalf of her, let me apologize.”

“What do you mean?” Jake asked, genuinely confused.

“The New York monster that took the job from your girl?”

“Yeah …”

“That’s my girl.”

You just finished face timing Cheryl that was now living in London for some business transaction and she couldn’t stop bitching about the rain ruining her hair, which, in turn, just gave you something to laugh about.

“Good morning, stranger,” your favorite barista greeted you as you leaned in the counter.

“Hello, outsider,” You greeted her back. “Can I get my regular and a muffin?”

“Oooh muffin, you’re being a rebel today, huh?” she snickered as she handed you your favorite drink and a fresh muffin.

“I like to remain unpredictable.” You said as you handed her the exact amount and placed a twenty on the tip box.

“See you tomorrow, outsider.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”

You sighed as the hot drink touch your tongue, fucking heaven. As you were about to go in your car you felt a small tug on your coat. You turned around and saw a cute little kid that had gorgeous curly locks hiding a sunflower behind his back.

“Hey, there little bud.” You leaned down to minimize the distance between you and the kid. “Are you lost?” You looked around you. “Where’s your mum—“

You were cut off when he suddenly shoved you the sunflower in his handsand ran before disappearing right around the corner.

“What the …” You cracked a smile despite your confusion and saw a small card tied around the sunflower with a note that read:

There’s more from where that came from.

Just as you were about to look for the little boy a tall figure suddenly appeared from your peripheral view. And just like in your wildest dreams, there he was: standing in front of you, beautiful as ever, holding a bouquet of sunflowers and wearing that smirk that made your stomach flip in the most beautiful way possible ever since you were kids.

“Reggie …”

Before you could utter another word he sped up his last two steps and cradled your face with his free hand for a kiss. A kiss, a kiss that you have imagined over and over again, a kiss that was foreign yet so goddamn familiar from the amount of times you have dreamt and daydreamed about it. A kiss from Reggie Mantle was all it took for your heart to beat the same irregular beats that was reserved only for him.

I took you a moment to recover from the shock but when you did you wrapped your hands around his neck and pulled him in deeper. You waited too long for this kiss and you never wanted it to end and he probably had the same thought in mind. But sadly, like everything amazing, it had to, or else you were gonna die from lack of oxygen.

Reggie leaned in your forehead and laughed just as you started to giggle. “I guess you missed me?” you whispered.

“You have no idea, pup.” You started tearing up, not believing that after all these years he was finally here in your arms, looking at you with the same dark eyes and intense gaze that makes you want to melt.

“I’m – “

“I love you.” Reggie made her forget her train of thoughts with those words. “If the kiss didn’t make it clear enough. I, Reggie Mantle, is in love with you and swears to be in love with you in this lifetime and the next.”

You couldn’t help but laugh. Pulling him in for another kiss. “Promise?” You offered him your pinky.

He laughed, crossing both of pinkies and pushed both of your fists and thumbs together.

“Promise.” He gave you another peck. “And, I believe you owe me a date.”

“Oh, do I now?” you teased, giggling when he tried to kiss your neck. “Where would you like to go?”

“I waited for years for this date, pup,” he said letting go of your face as he opted to wrap his arms around your shoulders as you wrapped yours around his waist. He gave you the bouquet which you held with your free hand. “I’ll go wherever the fuck you want.”

Breaking News! After dating for three years and being engaged in one, star football player, Reggie Mantle and his fiancé’ the award winning journalist and published author, (Y/F/N), has officially tied the knot in secret in their hometown, Riverdale, with only a chosen few people present, one note-worthy guest was Mrs. Mantle’s best friend, Cheryl Blossom, the CEO of Blossom Inc.  and world-renowned author of two award-winning novels in her spare time. It was said to be a big event despite the small town in Riverdale as stolen shots were taken of the grand wedding for the official photographs of the wedding was announced to be kept in private and not to be publicized in the request of the couple.

This power-couple had been best friends their whole lives and decided to tie the knot right after Reggie Mantle surprised his, now, wife with her dream house in California where they were rumored to finally settle. The couple is about to head into their 2-month honeymoon that will be spent in different cities around the world that they have planned to visit ever since they were kids.

After you’re done crying and emptying your box of tissue we dare you to find us a more perfect couple, we’ll wait.

(Y/N) was breathing in the fresh air from the morning breeze. She stared at the view from her balcony: the trees, the lake, and the city far, far away. Reggie really thought everything through when he built this house just for her. He built her a home where she is safe, contented, and happy and she could never thank him enough.

She jumped a bit when she felt a fluffy blanket, which turned out to be her robe, being wrapped around her by none other than her husband. Even after a year and a half of being married she still feels giddy thinking about Reggie being her husband. Finally.

“You okay?” Reggie whispered, afraid of breaking this serene moment as he hugged you from behind and gave you a peck on the side of your head.

You decided to face your husband and give him a proper good morning kiss, wrapping your arms on his waist as he wrapped his arms around you. “I feel perfect.” You nuzzled your face on his warm neck relishing on the comfort only he can give you. You looked up at him and saw him looking out at the view before turning his eyes on you making you wonder what you did in your past life to have a man like him to keep forever.

“We’re in love, aren’t we?”

He chuckled at your question before leaning hooking a stray hair in your ear. “I can’t speak for you but you got me pretty hooked, pup.” You looked up at him through your lashes to give him a glare as if to say ‘are you fucking kidding me?’ and Reggie grinned, the same boyish grin from when you were in Riverdale, giving you another kiss

“You don’t have to worry about that for a very, very long time, pup.” Reggie sighed, pulling you closer to him, as if that was possible.”Your heart won’t break around here. I’ll make sure of that.”

You squealed when he leaned down and hooked his arms at the back of your thighs and sat down, taking you in his lap. You watched as the sun rose quietly, sharing the morning coffee you made to help you get ready for the day, small kisses and giggles shared every now and then and in that exact moment you realized you could stay there forever and already find the life that was your definition of perfect

But then on cue you heard the familiar wailing of your two other babies on their bedroom making you giggle and Reggie groan, leaning on your shoulders. “Oh stop it, you were the one who was begging me for a baby.”

“I asked for one baby, pup. Just one, I’m blaming your fertile ass for this.” Reggie complained but was still ahead of you towards his babies room. He loved being a father and everybody knows it. When you were pregnant anxious would be an understatement when defining Reggie as he watched your every move and made sure you were eating only the best to make sure his babies would grow to become ‘as strong as me and as beautiful as their mother’. Heck, nobody could touch you without receiving a glare from Reggie which in turn would result to you smacking him in the head as he pouted but still continued to follow you around like a lost guard dog.

“Or we could blame you fucking me 12 times a day, every day? How about that?” You shot back.

“Hush, (Y/N/N), “ Reggie said as he cradled Cherry on his right arm and picked up the older twin, Jason, on the other. “My babies can hear you.”

“Oh they’re your babies now—“

“TOUCHDOWN BITCHES!” You heard the all too familiar slamming of the door open and Cheryl’s voice from below. “WHERE ARE MY DEAR DARLINGS?!”

“I can’t believe I actually gave that woman a spare key.” Reggie sighed, making you giggle. “Since when did she arrive from London?”

“Come on now,” you said as you took Cherry from Reggie making him pout. God, his daughter had him whipped. “Let’s go down before Cheryl wrecks havoc in here too.”

“I gotta share everything with her,” Reggie complained to a now sleeping Jason, as he went downstairs and saw Cheryl with a dollhouse and a toy car that looked too expensive and too realistic to be owned by a couple of 7 month old babies .”One day I’ll just snap and assassinate her, I swear to God.”

“I heard that, you ass!”

“You needed to hear it, satan!”

You couldn’t help but watch as Reggie and Cheryl bickered back and forth while Jason was silently sleeping in his crib and Cherry was babbling nonsense while sitting comfortably in your lap.

“Listen here Poison Ivy wanna-be, you’re spoiling my kids and they don’t even have the mental capacity to be spoiled yet.” Reggie complained.

“I am their godmother I can do what I want because I am richer than their father.”

“Excuse me,” Reggie seemed genuinely offended and you couldn’t help but laugh. ‘Who’s richer than who’ has been a small game in between Reggie and Cheryl, heck, even Archie, who is now an international song artist, and Moose who is an owner of a couple of successful gyms would join every now and then.

I guess nothing really ever truly changed. Reggie and Cheryl just can’t admit they love each other with a gun aimed at their heads, you were still hopelessly in-love with your husband, and he still looks at you as if you were the reason the sun continues to shine every morning. Only now you had two little angels to call your own and more money than you can spend.

Not bad for a shy girl from Riverdale who was secretly in love with her bestfriend.

You looked at your family, once more. Leaning back, placing Cherry on your chest, you sighed in contentment.

Not bad at all.

A/N: I’m gonna miss writing this so fucking much. Fuck.

i love “a long time ago in a galaxy far far away” bc you would otherwise assume it’s set in an ambiguous far future but the first thing you ever learn in any star wars movie is that it doesn’t consider itself sci-fi so much as a Space Fairytale, and so presents you with the space version of once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom…

  • what she says: i'm fine
  • what she means: if in shrek 2, fiona's parents are the king and queen of the land, how come lord farquad has the governmental power in the first movie? surely when you think about it, the kingdom of far far away, shrek's swamp, lord farquad's city, and fiona's tower are all within walking distance - shrek and donkey make it from the swamp to the castle to fiona's tower in a matter of days, all on foot, so it is a small area of land we're talking about. so who is this lord farquad, and does he have any relation to the king and queen? was his and fiona's wedding incest?? or was he doing something illegal unbeknownst to the kingdom?? is lord farquad's city of Duloc it's own country, much like the vatican is of italy?? does shrek's swamp fall into duloc, or the kingdoms territory? was Lord Farquad illegally using the land when he dumped the fairytale creatures there??? who creates these legislative policies??? is there a governmental force bigger than both the kingdom and duloc???? how many layers does lord farquad have?????

Once upon a time…
in a kingdom far, far away…
there lived a young girl…
whose hair was made of gold.
When the people
in the village saw her, they said…
“Oh, how beautiful she is.”
And they showed her
a beautiful house…
on the planet Mars
And they said,
"Come and live here forever.”
And the young girl said…
“Oh, Mars is a planet
where life’s different…
safe, clean and pretty.”
But… But how do you get there?
Where do you find a taxi?
Which bus do you take?
Right? And how do you know
you’re there when you’re there?

And she went to live in the beautiful house.
And all the people loved her…
And she was very, very happy

But the people in the village
were very poor…
and every night, they crept
into the house where the girl slept…
and they cut off a piece
of her golden hair…
and they sold it for money.
“She’ll never even notice,”
they said.
And so, all the gold
was gone from her head.

And the people said…
‘Oh, she’s not beautiful at all.’
And they took her from
the beautiful house…
and they drove her
into the street.
And she went away…
and she never came back.
And soon,
people became hungry again…
and they went back into
the beautiful house…
Iooking for gold,
but there was no one there.“

“For many years, I have been moved by the blue at the far edge of what can be seen, that color of horizons, of remote mountain ranges, of anything far away. The color of that distance is the color of an emotion, the color of solitude and of desire, the color of there seen from here, the color of where you are not. And the color of where you can never go.”

Rebecca Solnit, A Field Guide to Getting Lost

Annabel Lee Edgar Allan Poe, 1809 - 1849

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea:
But we loved with a love that was more than love–
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angels, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me–
Yes!–that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we–
Of many far wiser than we–
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee:

For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling–my darling–my life and my bride,
In her sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

How They Met Their Queen: BTS

She was a nobody in his royal court, barely an invisible servant collecting the dishes and refilling the glasses of wine as the ladies of different houses were courting after him, and him in return having to court after them- yet he sat quiet with idle curiosity towards the servant girl, giving her the eyes, making her gulp with nervousness. He was breaking the rules, sure, but he was also a Prince and no rules applied to him.

He had been attending a meeting for the political ties of another continent, having to ask for allegiance from the new princess, he himself being tested out as a prince- his first royal trial, so to say- and he had gotten head-first into an argument with the princess that was sent to communicate her continent’s position. Everything started from there, quickly blossoming into something pure and real and true.

He was sneaking out to one of his nightly strolls through the city and into some cheap bar for some rowdy games of cards and poker when he met her, dealing the drinks at the counter wearing the low-cleavage shirt of someone who was practiced in seducing, trying to sell as much as was possible. He started his conversation with a scolding at your exposed chest, and the next thing she knew he was coming to the bar as if to pray, seeing her and joking around, slowly falling in love.

Rap Monster:

His marriage was a political one, betrothed to a young princess who was barely of age herself for the sake of ending the war over their continent and in hopes to expand their royal kingdom to further lands. There wasn’t much talk between the two of them- partially due to circumstances of their meet, and also because the princess was quiet all on her own. However, NamJoon was soon to discover the Princess’s love for books, and the topics of conversations that would open up between the two would become an endless banter.

She was a childhood friend who was ripped away- promised to another prince of another country far away, and yet he was a stubborn fool, settling the biggest bravado he could muster without starting a war and stating his proposal to his friend loud and clear over the oceans and lands for everyone to know, so that no other Prince of some far-away land would decide to wed her and make her their Queen- she could only be his one and only.

There was an annual summer fest in the kingdom of the eternal sun, TaeHyung’s home- and the Kings and Queens, together with their royal children had always been invited with the purpose of tightening bonds and improving the communications and trade between countries and continents. The young Princess was also there, standing awkwardly to the side and sipping on her wine elegantly, with wandering eyes so pure they had caught TaeHyung’s attention the first thing. He strutted over with a childishness only he could pull-off with royal airs, and with no doubt he started a conversation about the most foolish thing ever: the weather.

He first met his royal Queen with her having pressed a knife against his slender, pale neck and drawing a thin stripe of blood, a promise of murder in her eyes as her rebel group tried to seize the castle, trying their foot at a rebellion that would change the world- as she claimed it. Yet she had come under-prepared and was soon taken down and into the prison cells, where she was constantly visited by the young Prince, having to reveal the greater good of the kingdom she had in mind, which would let her roam free eventually, though having to change her name and alter her appearance none the less. And still the two continued to meet up, be in the castle or in the city, chatting and flirting, growing closer and closer until she was the one he married.

You Do Not Need To Love Me- Part 1

Tony Stark x Reader

Summary- You and your younger sister have been living off of the kindness of your friends since your parents died. Countess Natasha decides to take you to Court so you can catch yourself a husband. You go with her not expecting much since you have no dowry, but on your first night there Duke Anthony, the richest man in the kingdom, shows an interest in making you his wife.

Message- I’ve decided to stop making promises about what’s coming next, since I never deliver and then I feel bad. So here’s part one to a new Royalty Au.

Word Count- 822

“Who is that with Countess Natasha?” Tony asks.

“That is Lady Y/N. Poor thing.” Duchess Peggy says as she shifts into her husband Duke Steve.

“What do you mean?” Tony asks

“Her parents died during the winter, and since she has no brother. Her family’s estate went to a distant cousin who refused to give her and your younger sister anything. Count Clint and Countess Natasha were kind enough to open their home to them. I even heard a rumor of Clint offering her a dowry.” Peggy says as the three of them look over at you.

“Then she has an intended?” Tony asks.

“No, Countess Natasha brought her to court in an attempt to find her husband.” Steve says as Tony nods absentmindedly.

“Would you like us to introduce the two of you?” Peggy asks.

“Yes, please.” Tony says. Then the three of them make their way over to you and Natasha. Peggy makes introductions and all of you make polite conversation.

“Would you like to dance, Lady Y/N?” Tony asks. You look over at Natasha and she nods at you eagerly.

“Yes, that would be lovely. Thank you.” You murmur as you let Tony lead you out onto the dance floor.

“Peggy tells me that you have a younger sister.” Tony says as the two of you start to dance.

“I do, her name is Gwen.”

“How old is she?” Tony asks.

“She is 6.” You answer.

“That is a fun age.” Tony says as he grins at you.

“I was not aware that you had children.” You murmur.

“I do not, my friend, Colonel Rhodes, has a son that is about that age, named Miles.” Tony says. The two of you dance in silence for a few more minutes before curiosity gets the better of you.

“I have a question, but I do not wish to come off as bold.” You say.

“Please, be as bold as you like.” Tony says to you while his grin turns into a smile.

“Why are you dancing with me? Surely there are Ladies of a higher station and of greater wealth, that you could be charming right now.” As you speak Tony starts to laugh.

“Come with me.” Tony says as he leads you out onto a balcony.

“I am sure you have heard that I am a widower. My late wife Pepper died 5 winters ago.” Tony whispers. “But, the world continues to move and I am expected to move on. So now I find myself in need of an heir, and to have an heir, I need a wife and I have heard that you are in need of a husband.” Tony says as he gives you a meaningful look.

“I have no dowry, Count Clint offered but I refused. I have nothing to offer. Your title is far greater than mine, I have nothing. You would do well to look to the Ladies with similar titles to your own.” You say.

“I have no need for a dowry for I am the richest man in the kingdom and I find most ladies in a station to mine unpleasant.” Tony says. This was far too good to be true. So you think about what you know about Duke Anthony and you realize what must be happening.

“I will not be the laughing stock of the kingdom.” You growl as you move to break away from Tony.

“Why would you be the laughing stock of the kingdom?” Tony asks as he gives you a perplexed look.

“Please!” You scoff “I have heard about you! You used to be a womanizer, before you were married. I have heard rumors that you have relapsed back into your deviant behavior. So what is this, a way to trick me into your bed? Or are you telling the truth? You want a wife that you think will be able to control, one that will turn the other way when you lay with other woman! I will not be controlled and I will not be a wife that stands by as her husband uses other woman to warm his bed.” As you yell at Tony this stupid smile forms on his face.

“I would never attempt to control you. I want a wife who will call me out and demand better of me. Pepper was in a similar position to what you are in now, when we married. I was faithful to her and I promise you that if we wed I would be faithful to you. I can offer you and your sister security and stability. You would no longer be dependent on the kindness of friends. You would both have a good life and want for nothing. Think about it, I do not need an answer now.” Tony says as he squeezes your hands. “Just promise me if you have any questions about my offer, you will come to me.”

“I promise.” You murmur.

A/N: I’m sorry if you guys don’t like what’s behind this but I just thought of something and I hope you guys don’t mind
~> Everyone makes fics of Anxiety being transgender and that’s why there’s no name
~> honestly though, I love the idea I had of Prince being the transgender one.

Princess Allouette was the most gorgeous princess in all the land… or at least that’s what legend told. Then why did she suddenly go missing, her dresses crown and all left behind. No sign of struggle, so why was she gone? Why was Allouette gone leaving her father in true despair and her mother in a knowing suffer.

It was simple really, Princess wasn’t the right title for Allouette. So after a fight with her mother about not being a princess, Allouette saddled up her noble, cream coloured, stead and rode off in the night never to return to the Kingdom of Far away.

It wasn’t long before the Princess came to a stop, a fassionary in the kingdom of Way Far away. Having a peasant purchase her a princely outfit with money she handed him, she was satisfied with the purchase and gave the peasant boy enough money to feed him and his family for years to come.

Allouette changed into the outfit behind a barn, admiring the beauty of the outfit and how the jacket covered the feminine parts. Prince Roman was the title that had been decided upon for 10 years since a 6 year old realized they weren’t who people said they were.

Roman smiled at himself and got back on his horse before riding quickly, the dress in a bag to he burned at tonight’s fire. The fire never came though, Roman had found a door in the middle of a field that stop on its own. The world continues all around it. More field behind it and more field to the sides. It was a peculiar thing. A shaky hand touched the door knob and then opened the door, a room formed before his eyes. Allowing the Steed to do as it may, he entered the room and looked around. The room was how he had imagined his royal room would look had he been born a boy.

“Oh hi kiddo” A man was at the door on the other side of the room now, Roman froze next to the red bed with gold painted frame.

“Oh, my apologies, am I trespassing? It’s just the door..” Roman spoke urgently, not wanting to be beheaded just as he became who he wanted to be.

“No don’t worry kiddo, this door just showed up for us as well, it was a blank wall and then a door formed. I believe this room was waiting for you…” The man trailed off. They spoke for a few minutes, Roman mentioned nothing of his previous life.

“You said others…” Roman finally spoke up and the introduced Morality smiled.

“Yes others! Come with me” He takes Roman’s hand commenting on his it’s very soft and then dragging him to meet logan and Anxiety. After introducing the pair Roman waved hello.

“Patton? Who is this?"Logan questioned and nodded heating that Roman was the new rooms occupant. He wasn’t so confused now.

"He looks like a more stuck up Princess Allouette… but.. a dude.” Anxiety observes aloud. Roman blushed, already hating his old identity. The topic of The Disappearance of Princess Allouette spread like wildfire everywhere.

13 years later Roman had successfully hidden his past all these years, he owned many royal outfits, a few crowns, the room changed as he grew up and he gained quite the connection with Patton, though it was quiet right now. Nobody was awake, these times were when Roman judged his body in the mirror, how feminine it was and how much he hated it. He had found a binder and it worked wonders for his self esteem but when it was off, that’s when the dysphoria kicked in.

that’s when Roman started to feel like he’d never truly be a boy, never truly pass, no one ever would view him as a him, his body suck,  his face sucked,  he sucked. Roman’s mind would race with self depreciating remarks and comments. His mind would go like this until he fell asleep and then continued in small bits for the whole next day. Though one sentence always made him feel better.

They rarely ever said it, but there was those moments when he’d receive the simple phrase, no matter it’s form, of “You look handsome” it always brought him confidence.

Roman looked away from the mirror at last when when there was a knock on the door and Roman instantly wrapped a towel around his body, he was always used to know one being up he didn’t realize that his youngest brother was still awake

“Hey” Anxiety spoke as he opened the door and slipped in, noticing Prince’s demeanor instantly, the towel position next, and then the high bumps afterwards. “Uh, should I slip out while you uh” He clears his throat awkwardly. Roman sighed, he couldn’t keep his body hidden forever, his past hidden forever.

Roman shook his head but kept the towel on, Anxiety covered his eyes while Roman dressed. “Sorry for intruding,  I uh, just had a nightmare” Anxiety spoke and Roman smiled gently pulling Anxiety on to his bed.

“would hearing a story help?” Roman received a nod “once upon a time, in the land of Far Away. There lived a princess and her parents. Ever since the Princess was very young she never loved being called a Princess. The Princess known as Allouette despised her title, name, and who she was. When Allouette was 15 she took her horse in the middle of the night and ran away, leaving everything but some money behind. When she reached the kingdom of Way Far Away she gave a little peasant boy enough money to purchase her a prince outfit, when he returned with the outfit she gave him the rest of the money she owned and rode off once more. Allouette changed out of her dress and into the suit, before taking a chard of glass and chopping off her hair-”

“Like Flynn does to Rapunzel in tangled?” Anxiety interrupts and Roman nods smiling.

“-they chopped it shorter and shorter until they thought it looked proper like a prince and continued on their way. One day the new prince came across a field, the field was long and wide but right in the middle was a wooden door that you could walk all around but seemed to lead to no where at all until opened. The door lead to a room which lead to a house owned by the parts of a human. The prince soon took the name as Prince Roman Sanders, and he had three amazing brothers.  Patton, Logan, and his favourite was the youngest, Anxiety” Roman finished the story and Anxiety was smiling widely, the first time in a while.

Anxiety was the first to know and the only to know of Roman’s past. Everyday since then Anxiety would find a way to help Roman’s self esteem quietly. Calling him handsome, or telling him on their lonesome that Prince was really passing that day.

The moral of the story is: Tell a transboy he’s Handsome or how much he’s passing, it really help with their self esteem.

Merlot: Alright, but I am not a storyteller. You have been warned.

Merlot: Once upon a time, there was little girl, who lived in a castle far far away. This little girl was no ordinary girl, she was a princess, trapped away from the world. Her mother tried to keep her from the common folk, but some how one lonely soul was able to break his way through. Stumbling across her kingdom he fell for the princess instantly. Many days and night were fought for the young man to keep her hand, but on one not so special day, the princess came to him in the cover of moonlight. Her bright eyes glowing in its rays, they vowed to one another that they would be together forever, in this life time and all the others that would follow. Someday, somehow, they would find each other, no matter what the obstacle. Their vow was very powerful, and together they created a monument to their love. A child born of beauty and heart, who would forever be theirs to cherish…

Merlot: Oh! Shooting star! Did you see that?

So this is the story I wrote inspired by Beauty and the Beast. I’d love it of you would tell me if you like it and I feel inspired enough I’ll continue it. Thanks for all the messages of love you guys sent me and I’m trying to get better for all of you who said they love me.

Once upon a time in a kingdom that had never been touched by light, far, far away from where the beautiful beams of the sun kissed the holy earth lived the fairest king of them all, with his four sons.

The king had won battles and battles and beat any conqueror that would come to his kingdom. The crowds admired his courage and his utter love for justice and he, loved them back with everything piece of live in his heart. The kingdom might had never seen the light of sun but the King’s love for them and for their rights could take this place.

All good things though must come to an end, at least that’s what the King’s father had once told him. In a battle against his greatest enemy the king lost his second son, Prince Jason. From that day the King’s heart turned cold, frozen even. He had never been able to see that it was Jason’s actions who had led him to his torturous death. He blamed it all to himself and let his heart die out. The king was never coming back.

Unbeknownst to him Prince Jason lived in a castle hidden in the woods, cursed to go through the same pain he went through that night until he learnt feel more than pain anger and misery.

“I’m telling you Stephanie my mother will get really mad if I’m not back in a while.” You shrieked your laundry basket away from Stephanie’s hands and started running to your house after you finished your talk.

“But (Y/n) I’m telling you there’s something in these woods!” Stephanie whisper-yelled at you as she run quickly behind you. “Please for me?! I swear just for one last time” she begged, blue eyes staring right into your (E/c) ones. You sighed, thinking about her offer one more time.

“You said it the last time”

“I know but-”

“And there are wolves in the woods, if it gets dark we’ll never make it back” Stephanie looked at you with wide, watered eyes. She always seemed to love visiting the woods to investigate whatever was there, although from what you had seen there was nothing but poisonous berry trees. It wouldn’t hurt to follow her for one more time. “I’ll inform my mother, my brother and Akita and I’ll come. Meet me here in an hour so we’ll be back before night comes”

Stephanie’s eyes lit up the moment she heard you speak and with a vigorous nod, that made her blonde hair tangle on her face she run away to her house. You stepped inside yours with a swift move. Your mother was in the bed as usually, coughing. It was as if by entering your front door you entered another dimension. The ine if sadness and pain. The one where misery was the only word to describe your situation.

Your mother was dying and your brother had already arranged your marriage with another man of the village, Akita. One of the best hunters the kingdom had and if you dared say, relatively handsome. You already knew he was a loyal man, he’d never betray your marriage and he was able to provide you with a good life after your mother died; it wasn’t your brother’s responsibility to take care if you after her death since he had his own family. And so, to step ahead of your mother’s sickness you were getting married to Akita in five days, either way your mother was not going to die for another month as the doctor had said.

You sighed again as you set the clean laundry on your bed and rushed to your mother.

“I’ll be going to the woods with Stephanie.” Was the first thing you said. You knew your mother wouldn’t say a thing, but your brother, who was standing in the corner of the room, certainly would.

“Again? Akita’s mother has finished your wedding dress and is waiting for you to go try it on.” He stated as you expected.

“I’ll be back before it gets dark. I’m sure Akita and his mother won’t mind”

You had never sworn you’d kill Stephanie but now you just did. Claiming to know an unknown part of the woods the two of you followed the path until a horrid storm started. A thunder had crushed a tree, separating you and Stephanie. Fortunately the paths the two of you were following were almost parallel.

You were cold, wet to the bone and sure you would be sick with a fever at your own wedding. The sound of the rain pulsed in your ears in addition to your heartbeat. You felt the need to let Stephanie know your feelings. Was this this “something” these woods had?

“I’m killing you Stephanie Brown!” You yelled loud enough so she could hear. Little did you know. “Find us our way home”

BUT Stephanie knew better than start yelling back. She was scared to death too to say the least. But the thought of wolves devouring her made her ever more scared.

“STEPHANIEEE” she heard you yell again. She quietly sobbed in her wet coat and half whispered the only prayer her mother had taught her before she died. With the first howling she heard she knew one or both of you were doomed.

“RUN” she yelled and kicked her horse to make it go faster. That’s when your paths got completely different. Stephanie only heard the barking and growling of the wolves as well as a scream in her ears as she speed to the village. She knew what this meant.

She thanked God she found her way back. And now with her whole being shaking she had to break the news to you’re family.

In the meanwhile you were more than terrified the moment a herd of wolves came to you. You knew you shouldn’t have yelled that loud to Stephanie. It was your fault you were going to die by wolves. You didn’t even know what to do to fight them or to get free. They were everywhere around you and you were bursting to tears. You didn’t want to die just yet.

A wolf coming right on you was the last thing you saw before a thunderous scream was heard. The wolves started running away, howling to each other. Looking right behind you you saw a small waterfall some meters away from you. Instantly you shook your head from the horrid thought of your dead body floating there and run toward it’s direction.

As you expected there was a path behind the waterfall, probably thats where the sound had come from. With a deep breath you walked towards the castle that was in your sight. It seemed abandoned but it was the only thing that could provide you with safety for one night.
