Client is released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
A client was released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Friday, December 24 after being held for more than eight months. ICE detained our client on March 10, 2011 and held him within the Delaney Hall Correctional Facility in Newark, New Jersey.
Hussain’s two U.S. citizen daughters were suffering extreme hardship in the absence of their father. Without the financial support of their father, his daughters were rendered homeless. They were relying on the temporary help of friends, and the absence of their father disrupted their schoolwork and emotional and mental states.
Gehi & Associates filed a stay of release allowing the client to remain in the U.S. for 6 months, which was approved.
