Volga being the reincarnation of the OoT manga Volvagia though.

Volga remembering Time but knowing that they’ll never meet again.

Volga seeing Time in HW Link and hating him for it but loving him for it too.

Volga fighting Link just as viciously as he would with anyone else, but eventually finding a fatal flaw in being emotionally unable to land a killing blow because of that past connection to the Hero of Time.

Volga being unable to ignore that certain old shred of loyalty he had for Time. Volga being unable to forget the eventual betrayal he caused and how Time was forced to kill him as a result. Volga wanting to do good by Link to make up for past mistakes but hating him too because he’s not Time dammit.

Phoenix Wright walked into the Wright Anything Agency, starting off another day of his work. All of a sudden, Trucy burst out of the bathroom, and said, “Daddy, we have a new client!” There was a stepladder in the middle of the office. “The stepladder is accused of being a ladder!” she shouted. “How crazy is that? Also, the stepladder’s being tried for murder. We can’t let them think the stepladder’s a ladder, Daddy! We need Apollo and Athena’s help!”

“Yes, Trucy, we do! Why are they late! They should be here…”

The next day, everybody was at the courtroom, including Udgey and Edgeworth. “Court will begin for the case of Stepladder,” the judge stated. “Edgeworth, your opening statement.”

Edgeworth said, “Wright, Justice, and Cykes, you are WRONG!”

“No way! The stepladder is not a ladder!” Phoenix and Athena yelled.

“No way! The stepladder did not commit murder!” Apollo yelled.

Phoenix and Athena looked at Apollo disapprovingly.

“Anyway,” Edgeworth continued, “we have decisive evidence that the stepladder is a ladder! Oh, and that it committed murder. The stepladder has rungs, which you climb on top of, yes? So it must be a stepladder! And also, the stepladder was the only one who could have murdered the victim, Reddal Pets, because it was in close proximity to the dead body. The victim died from falling. The stepladder must have shaken violently to make the victim fall.”

“OBJECTION!” Phoenix yelled. “There is a contradiction in your explanation! The stepladder can’t move!”

“Tsk, tsk, Wright,” Edgeworth said. “It’s all in the updated autopsy report.”

The camera flashed to Phoenix.

The camera flashed to Apollo.

The camera flashed to Athena.

The camera flashed to the Judge.

The camera flashed to the Stepladder.

The camera flashed to Charley.

The camera flashed to Edgeworth.

“The updated autopsy report states that there were egg-shaped marks on the victim, and that traces of egg were found on the victim. An egg was also found, with the stepladder’s fingerprints on it!” Edgeworth presented the egg,

The camera flashed to Phoenix.

The camera flashed to Apollo.

The camera flashed to Athena.

The camera flashed to the Judge.

The camera flashed to the Stepladder.

The camera flashed to the Blue Badger.

The camera flashed to Edgeworth.
“The court accepts the egg into evidence,” the judge said.

“So, Wright, how’s my expl-“

“OBJECTION!”  Apollo yelled. “The egg is not cracked! How could it have been used as the murder weapon!?”

“Tsk, tsk, Wright,” Edgeworth said. “It’s all in the updated updated autopsy report.”

The camera flashed to Phoenix.

The camera flashed to Apollo.

The camera flashed to Athena.

The camera flashed to the Judge.

The camera flashed to the Stepladder.

The camera flashed to Clay Terran. Oh wait, it didn’t because he’s DEAD.

The camera flashed to Edgeworth.

“WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?????” Wright, Apollo, and Athena said.

“The updated updated autopsy report shows that the egg marks were not, as we thought, egg marks, but rather ladder marks. The egg traces were just because Gumshoe ate many eggs while handling the victim’s dead body. Seventeen, in fact.”
“OBJECTION!” Athena yelled. “You might have proved that a stepladder has caused the murder, but why this one in particular? We need a witness that SAW the murder! And that witness is… the defendant!”

“Very well,” The Judge said. “There will be a 30 minute recess while the bailiffs gather the witness.”

Edgeworth said “But, Your Honor, the witness is-“

“No ‘but’s, Edgeworth,” the Judge interrupted.

“Hey!” Larry Butz said from the audience.

The lawyers gathered in the defense lobby.

When the recess ended, Edgeworth was the first to speak. “I’m sorry, Your Honor, but the defense… has been murdered.”

The camera flashed to Phoenix.

The camera flashed to Apollo.

The camera flashed to Athena.

The camera flashed to the Judge.

The camera flashed to the Stepladder.

The camera flashed to Larry Butz, being escorted out of the courtroom by force by the bailiffs. Judge’s orders.

The camera flashed to Edgeworth.

“We have to defend the stepladder in its honor!” Athena yelled.

MEANWHILE…

“It’s just like you said…” a voice whispered. “They’re still arguing over that asinine stepladder case. We should be done in no time at this rate.”

“Just according to keikaku,” responded another voice. Keikaku means plan.

They were Kristoph and Charley.

Edgeworth resumed the trial. “If the stepladder was used to kill the victim, obviously that means the stepladder killed the victim.”

“OBJECTION!” Apollo yelled. “You can’t say that! What if… what if somebody used the stepladder as a murder weapon?”

The audience said various things. Mostly about stepladders.

“Quiet!” the judge yelled. “Who do you propose used the stepladder?”

“Well.. obviously, the only one there at the time! Charley!”

The camera flashed to Phoenix.

The camera flashed to Apollo.

The camera flashed to Athena.

The camera flashed to the Judge.

The camera flashed to the Stepladder.

The camera flashed to Kristoph, who was in FUCKING JAIL.

The camera flashed to Edgeworth.

“Your Honor, please inspect the stepladder further,” Wright instructed. “If you look closely, there are leaf marks on the stepladder! And the only person who could create these… was Charley!”

The judge slammed his gavel. “Bailiff!” he ordered. “Escort Charley to the witness stand.”

Charley the potted plant stood motionless at the stand.

“Witness!” Apollo yelled with his Chords of Steel. “Do you admit to committing the murder?”

Charley didn’t move.

“He confessed! And only I know, because… uh… I speak plant!”

Charley still didn’t move.

Strangely, everyone believed him. “And,” he continued, “as well, Kristoph Gavin took a part to devising the keikaku! Keikaku means plan. We have proof, on these phone calls between Charley and Kristoph!”

A recording played throughout the courtroom.

“Hey Charley, let’s kill a person.”

“…”

“Great. I’ll see you there.”

The judge seemed surprised. Edgeworth fell onto the ground. Larry Butz walked away on the sidewalk in shame. Kristoph shuddered in his jail cell. Maya Fey channeled someone.

“Well, I see no reason to further prolong this trial,” the judge said. “I declare a verdict of…” He slammed his gavel.

“NOT GUILTY!”
