I’m happy right now, so I’m nervous
Because there’s always the calm before the storm
Because I don’t want to be set on fire and burn quickly
I’m cheering for love

Rewind

I’m just going to cry about this song now.

  • What a clever way to do a slow song instead of going for a ballad? It’s classy creates such a strong atmosphere.
  • The rain/storm sounds at the beginning good lord and Daehyun’s ad lib was just the perfect way to start it off
  • STRINGS
  • You can hear so much emotion in everybody’s voice? Perfectly balanced, complementary to the parts they sing and to each other. Every verse leads into the next, nothing is too overpowering.
  • Himchan crooning and doing falsettos(!!!!!)
  • The little guitar riff which first starts during Himchans part, is amazing. It’s used further throughout the song, and pretty well If I may add. It’s prominent sometimes, and blends into the back ground at other times.
  • The song does its crescendos so well. With every verse a new sound is added and it builds up to the chorus very steadily.
  • The percussion is very simple, but what’s beautiful is how BangLo’s rap adds it’s own percussion to the song.
  • The rap provides perfect contrast from the vocals and mellows things our for a bit. It makes you realise once again, how different Yongguk and Zelo are but how wonderfully they can blend into the same song.
  • Yongguk’s rap is slow, Zelo’s goes higher and a bit faster. And placing ad libs over rap is, just, great. Also, there’s nice use of something that sounds like an organ(synth) during Guk’s verse but I’m not too sure if that’s it.
  • I like how they made Youngjae and Jongup interchange verses the second time around providing some nice variety.
  • The way Daehyun sings the “du nuneul gamgo” is SO GOOD, again use of crescendo, doing pretty much a pitch bend.
  • You’d think the song would end there but nope we get another small verse of Yongguk’s rap overlayed with Daehyun’s falsettos.
  • The last line, complete with the nostalgic sounds, again providing a perfect end.

So, the basis of my work-in-progress comic, Siren’s Song.

It’s a fan-comic set in the Warhammer 40k universe.

Pitch:

There are bad guys everywhere. To Andrean, ‘Captain’ of the Siren’s Song, the worst of the bad guys is an Inquisitor by the name of Victus Abidae. With her crew of her childhood friend, a mute navigator, a very grumpy eldar sniper, and quite a few other flavorful folk, she plans to avenge her brother’s wrongful death at his hands.

Wonderful things about this comic include:
-lots of representation in a 40k setting
-gays???????????? Yes
-’what the fuck is a gender’ says the navigator, more news at 11
-calling out the imperium for its fascist undertones
-a sassy, red-headed milf
-uhh theres gay sex. one of the mains is an EC what do you expect from me
-i like to think there are accurate depictions of coping with both death and abuse, in a multitude of ways

There are far more characters than this, and a lot more to the plot, but this is the rough basis of the overarching plotline.

Hello Im auditioning for the role of Dean Winchester for the episode Mystery Spot of Supernatural and Ill be singing Mmm Watcha Say

In regards to Yuri on Ice the song

Hear me out. Okay for Yuuri’s Free skate song, Yuri on Ice. It’s so layered and interconnected. I’ve listened to this song ever since and wanted to do a little analysis of exactly which parts specifically are connected with each episode. (Ever since Victor was like, “Why’s your face so stiff/tense? You make it seem like you hated me when I first appeared in front of you) So here it is, I’m not even sure myself at this point but just my thoughts/rambles and I needed to get this out lol. (Btw, I’ve indicated the times so it may be good to listen to the song while you read this so you can hear the parts to it yourself too!)

00:00-00:53 (Pre-Anime-Ep 1) The Piano starts out by itself here – (When “Yuuri was fighting all by himself”) the keys are soft here but still beautiful in its regard. Yuuri is one of the top skaters so of course he can hold his own (melody in regards to the song). The only thing that was holding him back was his lack of confidence (which is indicated by the majority of soft notes).

00:54-1:17 Ep 1-3 - The violin comes in confidently with the drums (in a steady beat). This is where Victor’s sudden entrance comes in along with Yuuri’s support (all the love that surrounds him), his family and friends in the background. The drums remain a constant in this part nonetheless. This is the underlying support for Yuuri no matter which path he chooses (Ex. Mari’s talk with Yuuri). But so far, here the violin and piano’s sound is very distinct from each other as if it’s going at their own melody/pace. This is the part where Yuuri is still at unease in front of Victor. He’s a god/idol to him here still, so their melodies aren’t quite entwined yet.

1:18-1:31 – Ep 4-7 – The violin and piano here finally starts out with the same note and are accompanying each other. But they aren’t quite there. The harmony is not as in depth and intricate yet.The piano is starting to be more confident in its tone though. This might be where Victor and Yuuri have had their talks (Ep 4 and 7) and  this is where Victor gets to know what Yuuri is really thinking. Their relationship and song really starts shifts at this part.
