okay so to gain a façade of invisibility/acceptability (so you don’t get SHOT) a.k.a. become a human girl (a girl who fits into society, not an out of the closet lesbian bear), one has to appeal to the all-male court for yuri approval => you also need to appeal for actually eating humans, presumably you eating other girls has to be cool, cute and/or sexy. However in return you must give up on what you love the most: examples being kisses (displays of affection?), somebody else’s love (resulting in rejection from the one you love the most), and the potential for love at all. Showing that trying to fit into the boxes of human society warps your being and leaves only destructive desire deemed fit for male consumption?
But then what does the Bear society/world represent? This also rejected our bear heroes? What does Kumaria represent? just literally the church?
However, at the same time there’s the question of their love being the real thing. ?????
And then there’s this thing that’s repeated several times in the beginning: will you eat humans or give up on love? Bears need to eat humans to survive. The right to love belongs to all life, similar to sustenance? Those court sessions still confuse the hell outta me.
also what was that clicking the red high heels three times wizard of oz reference about a few eps back?
WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT I WAS NOT FEELING INVESTED AT ALL AND THEN EPISODE 11 TEARS MY HEART TO SHREDS???? FUYDLFJKLKSDFJHLJ??!?!
omg the the lick, I hadn’t realised that that was a call-back to the licks earlier in the show which without this context seemed so much more threatening!
and now I am absolutely heartbroken. wow. this episode. was. the best. of the show. i can’t imagine even 12 topping this.
