if only that was natural

For her, governments of any stripe would have their constituents believe that they were attempting to remove chaos from the galaxy, that they were trying to make things perfect, when only the Force was perfect. For ordinary beings, life was a constant interplay between order and chaos, day and night, light and dark.
Her reverence for the Force had evolved from an enduring love of nature. Yes, she thought of herself as agile and strong and intuitive, but she understood that her skills were a far cry from those attributed to the Jedi. She did, however, embrace the Order’s philosophy of generosity, compassion, and peaceful resolution, and on many a far-flung world she had experienced moments in nature that could only be described as transcendent. It was certainly possible that those peak moments had their basis in belief and emotion, but that hardly mattered; even if she wasn’t able to use the Force, she could at least feel it, and she was content with that.

Even if Manga-chan’s storyline is (somehow) entirely consistent across the universe, the AUTHORS AREN’T.

Like. Consider that for a moment. Completely different people in completely different worlds all writing the same exact canonically matching plotline but in slightly different art styles.

Guys some of these worlds don’t even have ninjas, BUT THEY KNOW THE PLOT OK. IT OCCURS TO EACH OF THEM NATURALLY AND COMPLETELY.

Your new fic is awesome so far. How do you make the girls act so natural though? I've written only one RWBY fanfic and I'm trying to avoid focusing on the girls so I don't screw up how they would act.

Thank you :)

One of the ways I do dialogue that helps me a lot is that i have the conversations with myself out loud as I write them. So it might look silly to anyone who sees me, but with a lot of scenes I’m often times saying the lines as I write them to help make them come out more natural.

This is the anon who got suicidal on prozac. I've started remeron now, and this is so much better!! Not only is it good for my depression, but it naturally makes you tired, so it's also helping my sleeping problems!! Definitely glad I switched prescriptions, and my therapist is really proud of me for doing it!!!

[ So it’s a little late, but I had a lot going on around Saint Patrick’s Day and I didn’t get to engage in any festivities properly, online.

It seemed only natural to draw my Pyro- he’s Irish! And in Ireland, the more traditional folks will usually pin a clump of shamrock to their shirt on Saint Patrick’s Day, as opposed to wearing green like people do in the States.

I hope you guys have all had a lovely month of March, and here’s to hoping for a great April ahead! *Thumbs up!* ]

Beast Hunters

I wrote a crossover piece featuring Aloy of Horizon: Zero Dawn and Ciri from the Witcher series. Fun fact, this is for an English assignment!

Characters belong to Guerrilla Games and Andrzej Sapkowski/CD Pojekt Red

8 Times the U.S. Government Gave White People Handouts to Get Ahead

The 1830 Indian Removal Act

With the help of the U.S. Army, Cherokee, Creek and other eastern Native American tribes were forced to relocate west of the Mississippi River to make room for white settlers.

The 1862 Homestead Act

This act gave away an overwhelming number of acreage to white settlers out west — land that had been previously settled by Native Americans. According to California News Reel, nearly 270 million acres of Indian Territory was converted to private property for white settlers.

The 1790 Naturalization Act

Under this legislation, only “free whites” were allowed to become naturalized citizens of the United States. Thus the doors were opened for European immigrants — but not anyone else. The right to vote, serve on juries and hold office was exclusively reserved for American citizens.

The Social Security Act of 1935

Enacted under President Roosevelt’s New Deal, the Social Security Act provided a financial safety net for millions of workers and guaranteed that they would continue to be paid after retirement. But this luxury didn’t extend to everyone, however. The act excluded agricultural and domestic laborers, many of whom were Black, Mexican and Asian.

The G.I. Education Bill, Veteran Administration Housing Authority, and Health Care System

Because of these government programs, (mostly white) members of the armed forces were able to continue their education, guaranteed private housing, and granted access to a public health care system. Many of these benefits were reserved for white veterans, however. For the handful of Black veterans who could participate in these programs, their benefits were still fewer than those of their white counterparts.

The Wagner Act of 1935

Also known as the National Labor Relations act, this legislation gave labor unions the power of collective bargaining, defined unfair work practices, and established consequences if those rules were broken. As unions excluded non-white workers from better paying jobs and benefits like health care, pension, and job security, millions of white workers were able to work their way into the middle class.

Federal Housing Administration

Under this bill, white families were granted home loans, making it possible for them to purchase their very first humble abode. Unfortunately, mortgage eligibility was often tied to race while those living in integrated neighborhoods were deemed a “flight risk” and denied loans.

1960s Jim Crow Laws

These outwardly discriminatory laws not only barred African-Americans from drinking at the same water fountain as whites, but also reserved the best jobs, schools, neighborhoods and hospitals for white people.

why reblog and comment on the drama if you don't want to be involved

That’s a good question, thanks anon.

Generally I do tend to keep my mouth shut when it comes to all the drama on here, I guess it had just got to the point where I’d had enough of the near constant bickering.

This is the only such post that I can remember reblogging, and my only reason was to draw attention to the cyclic nature of this argument and the fact that it shows no signs of ending.

I was also hoping that it would reach like-minded people who have also had enough with this fandom being overrun by unnecessary arguments that ruin what should be a friendly, welcoming environment, so they would know that they are not alone in this view.

Once again, thank you for the question and I hope this doesn’t inadvertently cause any more drama.

I didn't mean to be rude I was trying to state my opinion what I was trying to say is that the tanned italian thing is a stereotype. The other anon said that because of the climate it's normal but it's not true: people in italy, unless they have a natural shade darker, tan only in the summer because contrary to imaginary winter are cold and rainy, and in some cases it even snows(please do remember that italy is the north too) Please don't take my statement as 'yikes' it was a mere suggestion

(( u can believe anything that u want, but i’m going to continue giving feli a tan?? nothing wrong w/ that in my humble onion. idk i’ve never heard of being tan as “a stereotype” omg. it’s quite sunny and temperate in italy so im like? shrugs my shoulders its not a big deal lol. some ppl tan more easily than others and so on my guy its all good. 0 people were killed in the making of me drawing feli with a tan so im going to carry on doing whatever i want lmao ))

anonymous asked:

oh god get rid of the superiority complex tbh. why do yall hate it when people have fun? so what if someone has a faq page and reblogs "unaesthetic" landscape pics? it doesn't make you any better than them.

its not that deep? im sure that irl there are incredible people who do the things on that post but like… if you’ve got a community of 70 million users like tumblr then its only kind of natural that people start categorising other users in ways that make sense to them. anyway i think its kinda funny but obviously i dont think im better than them. mayhaps u should chillax and jump to annoying conclusions about another user lmao
