if only that face was in focus

okay but picture this
  • sirius is so worried after full moons he can’t properly sleep in their dorms
  • he is always watching remus to make sure he’s okay
  • he faces remus and just focus on seeing if he’s breathing, if he might be having a nightmare, if he’s okay
  • and he can’t help but admire just how beautiful and calm remus seems to be
  • he doesn’t know that, but remus is well aware he’s beeing watched
  • and it’s the only thing that keeps him calm after a transformation, the thought of sirius looking after him with such tenderness
  • “i love you, moony”, sirius whispers to himself, not noticing remus just briefly opened his eyes
  • remus pretends he doesn’t hear it, it’s not the right time to be saying this words but merlin, he wants to say it back
  • remus rolls onto his side, in a way he’s not facing sirius anymore
  • “i love you too, padfoot” he mouths
  • remus can finally get a good night of sleep

I look at so many men and just think like 'why are you trying so hard..?' It's annoying and pathetic really lmao & then there's Shawn who's so lowkey with everything what is one of the things that make him so attractive to me! And his immense passion for music like wow... he didn't show his face during the livestreams because he wanted the people to focus on his voice and guitar and don't drop in only saying "you're so hot" "daddy" like stop... he loves music and I respect &I admire that a lot!

Seriously!

Shawn is a BEAUTIFUL PERSON inside and out.

I appreciate his looks, but I appreciate his kind soul and his incredible music more.

the thing about “representation” in media is that, even now, it only matters if it’s white representation. white lgbt characters. white independent and strong female characters. white mentally ill characters. just look at shows like stranger things and 13 reasons why, gaining widespread popularity posthaste and a renewal for a second season without even having to try. even shows like sense8 and orange is the new black that claim to be diverse and progressive still have more white characters than characters of color and / or put more focus on their white characters than any others.

you can’t possibly claim race plays no role in this when representation has only ever mattered if the face of it was a white, conventionally attractive character. if that’s not racist, i don’t know what is.

if you're feeling it pal, supercorp and dancing. but tbh, i'll read anything you're up to writing

She realized she was in trouble sometime between Alex telling her that she had proposed to Maggie and the moment she helped with sending out the invitations—and by help she meant that she saved Alex and Maggie a small fortune on postage by delivering the invitations herself.

Or perhaps she realized she was in trouble when Alex sat her down one afternoon—many, many months after the Daxamite invasion—and told her that she needed help choosing a song to dance to.

(“Can it be ‘N Sync?” Kara had asked, laughing when Alex didn’t even acknowledge her question.

“Maggie got all the fun jobs,” she’d muttered petulantly. “Choosing venue and catering is easy but everyone’s going to judge the first song we dance to.”

“I’ll judge if the food isn’t good,” Kara had tried helpfully. Alex didn’t deign to dignify that with a response.)

Though really, she realized she was in trouble when Winn helpfully pointed out that Kara couldn’t dance.

Favourite Jikook stories/au’s on AO3

Hope this list helps out! Got some of you asking about it so made a full post :)

1,  On Patrol - Season 2 by Ragi (season 1)
Officer Jeon still has his eyes on Mr. Adorable.
Officer Min is a little bit in love with his neighbor.
Captain Kim finds comfort in his new family.
It’s happily ever after for everyone…right?
I mean, really, what can possibly go wrong?

2, Heartwrecker by yuuami
“What if you accidentally fall in love?”
Jeon Jungkook is a full-time student and part-time “Heartwrecker”: that is, he gets paid to break up relationships by seducing women away from their partners. His records, much like his appearance, were flawless.
But when Jungkook is hired to break up the relationship of Taehyung’s childhood best friend, he finds the presence of overwhelmingly attractive Park Jimin a bit more distracting than he could ever expect it to be…

3, Ocean Eyes by BansheeAHo
Jimin spent a long time trying to gather pieces of his heart with trembling hands, only for Jeongguk to stumble and let it fall to the ground again.

4,  My Favourite Kind of Crime by DulcetSmiles
Jeon Jeongguk’s your everyday police officer, working the daily grind and getting through life without much of a care. It isn’t until a certain Park Jimin is transferred to his division that he starts to question things he hasn’t before, coming face to face with feelings he isn’t quite sure of.

Or

That one cliche trope where Park Jimin is so attractive that Jeon Jeongguk finds himself questioning his sexuality.

5,  your little moon face, shining bright at me by cygnus (lucid_wisteria)
“Whoa,” Jimin let his mouth slightly hang open in complete awe. His voice– it was rich and dulcet, a beautiful tone that seemed to enrapture the entire audience as well. There was an airiness to his voice, something akin to tender passion intertwined with a soft spirit, effortlessly undulating through the run of notes and ad-libs. No one seemed to care about the small junctures of instability, no doubt from the anxiety he had from his first time performing in front of others, and it was only the subsequent beauty they could focus on, “he’s–”“Hot.” Hoseok finished for him, eyes blown wide with delight. Jimin frowned and gave him an inquisitive leer. He caught Jimin staring, “What?“

Or

Jimin meets someone interesting during one of their open mic nights.

6, Énouement by Hobimii
In which Jeon Jeongguk is a chauffeur who’s stuck with a guy that won’t stop requesting a pick up from him. Park Jimin refuses to be taken anywhere if the driver is not Jeongguk.
Rich boys are a fucking handful to deal with.

7,Muted love by papa_ya
But the words are silent, falling from his lips and rolling soundlessly down the floor. His mouth moves uselessly, trying to emit sound, and sound. He is a marionette on broken strings.
What the fuck?
Jimin frowns. Concern etches his soft features.
Kookie, what’s wrong with your voice?”

–Or;

Jimin is a model living with his tattoo artist boyfriend. Nine years into their relationship, Jungkook loses his voice. The only cure is to say the thing he has been holding back from saying.

8, Pick me up by Priska
"I’m older, that makes me your hyung.” He explains as if it wasn’t obvious and jungkook has the audacity to actually look offended.
“But I’m alpha and you’re an omega. Age doesn’t matter, I’m above you.”

9, Things Half Done (Things Half Said) by gloomy
Jungkook tries to deal with living 325 kilometers away from his best friend, and finds that he simply can’t.

10, We’re headed to nowhere (but nowhere is somewhere to me) by soxfordcomma
In which jimin’s husband stopped loving him a long time ago, and the universe wants to bring the glow back to the young man’s cheeks.
(This was published a few days ago but guyyyyys I’m already in love with it. After On patrol and Ocean Eyes this is a must read for me)

11,  너의 목소리 Your Voice by pinkmonnie

“Is it possible to fall in love with someone just by the sound of their voice?”

Jeon Jungkook is a twenty-three year old young man, starting his tertiary studies at Seoul National University. He is incredibly independent, handsome, and rich. He is mute. The only thing he loves to do is live inside his own little world full of books and music and photographs.

Park Jimin is a twenty-five year old Assistant Professor in the College of Humanities. He moved 3 minutes away from campus just so he could dedicate more time to researching and teaching. His dream is to become an actual Professor and write books about Japan.

They fall in love.

12, Don’t Think, Don’t Speak, Just Smile for Me by Ragi
Jimin’s not entirely certain that he’ll be alive to see his 18th birthday and finally escape from his father’s abuse, but Jungkook’s music keeps him believing that he might actually make it.

13, The Bet by jonghyunslisterine
Where Jeon Jungkook makes a bet that he can get the notoriously single Park Jimin to sleep with him by the end of the semester.Needless to say, things don’t go exactly as planned.

14, Can’t pin me down by busan_brat
Jeon Jungkook is Asia’s biggest pop star and it is Park Jimin’s job to make sure that it stays that way. (This is my forever favourite, it’s super good.)

15, Once upon a timeshare by namakemono
Jungkook is in desperate need of a vacation, but spending two weeks in Namjoon and Hoseok’s timeshare in Okinawa with his recently separated ex of three years was probably (definitely) not what he had in mind.

16, Nice Guy by drpuffles
Jeon Jungkook is 23 and already the CEO of SJ Group. He thinks he’s got everything figured out, until he meets Park Jimin.Their lives become more intertwined than Jungkook could’ve ever imagined.

17, Can You Give Me My Breath Back by DeadpanSnarker
Six months till the tournament that would decide Jungkook’s future.
Six months where he and his team were in dire need to monopolize the ice-rink that had taken a liking to Uni’s new sweetheart. Where Jimin made a bet with Jungkook, which, if Jungkook lost, he would have to be taught how to ‘truly’ skate.

Or as how Jimin had phrased it, ‘By the time I’m done with you, you’ll have fallen in love with figure-skating’. Surely things didn’t work out in Jungkook’s favour.

In their fickle game, Jungkook is in for sex and Jimin is in for love. By the end of the six months, perhaps he would like figure-skating, but he would have adamantly fallen in love with the figure-skater.

anonymous asked:

You know how Winn fanboys over superman can you do a prompt of Alex fangirling over Wonder Woman. I think I'd be interesting to see cool Alex freaking and also Wonder Woman is so worthy.

“So technically, she’s not an alien,” Maggie read through the file in the middle of the DEO command center. She dropped the page she was looking at. “But she is super strong and has weapons that are obviously not of this world.” She looked over at Alex who was distracted by her favorite alien gun in pieces on the table. She had a soldering iron in one hand and some kind of alien version in her other hand.

Maggie looked toward the entrance to the DEO when the door opened. She heard Kara talking and knew their special guest with the mystery file had arrive.

“So Kal-El is your cousin?” an elegant voice asked that was both powerful and comforting.

“Yeah,” Kara smiled. “My little baby cousin.”

“Alex,” Maggie poked Alex’s arm.

“Hold on,” Alex grumbled. “Can’t believe it got smashed.”

Maggie didn’t look away from their guest as she hit Alex with the back of her hand. “Alex, look.”

“One sec.”

“Alex!” Maggie finally moved her hand up Alex’s head, her hand patting Alex’s face. “Alex, look.”

“What?” Alex looked up from her beloved gun to the approaching group. At first all she saw was J’onn and Kara, then she saw her. The light coming in the glass door lit up their visitor like a halo, making her face seem like a dream. A smile lit up her face as she stepped forward out of the light and Alex’s eyes adjusted.

“You’re Wonder Woman,” Alex blurted out. The tools in her hand clattered onto the table and she walked quickly around the table.

You are presenting, eyes are on you, and you have something important to say! Don’t! hide!

I used to be terrified of presenting. Here are some things that have helped me out massively, and made me a relatively confident speaker. I suppose that the key to these advices is to fake it ‘till you make it, and posture will help you to trick your body into thinking that this is not a dangerous and scary situation at all. This not a full guide, but just the things that have helped me out.

At least for me, standing confidently (even if you are totally faking it all) has given me the actual confidence to present. Here are a few things to pay attention to. Try to stand in your bedroom and practice standing like this:

  1. Relax your shoulders. When you’re tense, you will automatically pull them up, which gives tension not only in your shoulders, but your back as well. Relax them, and you will start feeling more at ease.
  2. Keep your feet a little bit apart, firm on the ground. Don’t stand with your legs against each other, as if a single push from someone could have you fall over. If you stand firmly, you’ll give the physical message to your audience ánd yourself that you will not be intimidated by them.
  3. Chin up, eyes at the audience. Don’t ever look at the ground! You’re telling your message to a group of people, not to the dust mites. If it’s too scary too look at their faces, focus on the back wall of the room. Don’t stare at one point, but address the entire room. If there’s a teacher present, watch out not to focus on them! They’re often the only one to seem remotely interested, but don’t let that bother you and look at everyone.
  4. Keep your arms relaxed at your sides. It’s easy to put them in your pockets, or play with a bracelet, or something alike. However, this can distract your audience, and it just looks nervous. If you still feel awkward with your hands like this, try to use your hands while talking, or see if you can have a remote or so you can hold.
  5. Don’t lean on things. We’ve all seen the nonchalant student present like this, and they got downgraded for it. Yes, you should look relaxed, but don’t look like you don’t give a f*ck.

Some additional advice:

  1. Try to keep the ‘uhm’ at bay. A short silence is much more effective than filling it with sounds that do not add anything. If you’re trying to think of what to say, it’s better to keep a short silence. Try to listen to a speech of, for example, Obama. He uses a lot. of. silences. See that it does not bother the listener at all.
  2. Don’t read from your notes. Especially if you’re also using a PowerPoint. Prepare your presentation so well that you can tell the story in your own words, and that just keywords are enough. If you’re quoting, you can of course write the quote down. No one will mind you’re reading a quote.
  3. Practice. This one relates to the previous tip, and to the extent to which you learn your text by heart. If you’re preparing your presentation, try to see how your text works when you’re speaking it out loud. Often, the text you have written down does not translate well to speaking, due to sentence structure, word choice, or length. By practicing you can figure out what does work.
  4. Talk like you’re presenting to the person in the back. To you, what you’re saying makes 100% sense, but the person in the back probably can only hear 50% if you talk at speaking volume. Try to imagine their position and speak to them.
  5. Record yourself. You’ll hear whether your volume is okay, if your sentences are fluent, and whether your tempo is right. Maybe you’ll also notice that you are actually saying um a lot, or find out you have used the same word 10 times. It may be confronting, but helpful.

In the Heart of the Storm (Part 5)

Bucky x Reader

Summary – You are house-sitting for some friends on the Chesapeake Bay in the middle of a hurricane. Unbeknownst to you, you’re not alone. Takes place immediately following the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Warnings – None

Word Count – 1,260

Notes – As usual, I’m taking a lot of liberties with Bucky in this fic.  None of us know just how much he actually remembers, or when those memories starting coming back.  I have a plan on where I want this fic to go, so I need him to remember certain things to get us there.  As always, I appreciate all of your feedback and questions!!!

Previously:

At the mention of the Helicarriers, his head shot up.  His eyes were wide, and you could practically see the memories flooding back into his mind. “Steve.  Oh my God, Steve.  Is he dead?”

“Steve?  Do you mean Steve Rogers, Captain America?”

With every word you spoke, his face seemed to crumple.  He looked down at his left arm in disgust as he flexed the metal fingers.  “What did I do?”

“Oh my God, you’re the guy that almost killed Captain America.”  You didn’t wait for him to confirm or deny your statement.  Without thinking about the consequences, you turned and ran for door behind you.

You made it to the back porch, your feet mere inches from the grass when a cold metal arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you up against a solid wall of muscle.  His right hand clamped over your mouth as he effortlessly carried your struggling form back into the house.

I'm interested in those kid/cartoon and anime witch shows you mentioned. (unless it's actually W.I.T.C.H which I've watched a thousand times)

It wasn’t gonna be W.I.T.C.H at all! I actually don’t recall that one, lol.

I am basically gonna stick to anime for this list, jsyk, it got way too long… There are a few specifically about witches, while some are just about magic in general. (It’s a sparse genre man.) These are ones I have personally watched, were recommended to watch, or have at the very least heard of.

I am also terrible at doing summaries but here we go!

Movies

Majo no Takkyuubin
(Kiki’s Delivery Service) -

a more well-known movie, featuring a young witch who leaves home to a brand new city in order to do her magical training, and finds out what being a witch really means to her through her adventures

genres: adventure, comedy, drama, magic, romance, fantasy

score: 8.28 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Little Witch Academia (2013) -

the first precursor to the anime, it shows the struggles of a human girl who desperately wants to be a witch like her idol, but has no magical talent of her own, while finding out her idol isn’t so well idolized at her magic school

this movie was only forty minutes long, and was funded by a young animators training project. due to its success, they created a kickstarter for the sequel, which then lead to the actual anime series

genres: adventure, comedy, magic, fantasy, school

score: 8.00 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Little Witch Academia: Mahoujikake no Parade
(Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade) -

this movie continues on the story of the human witch, who is facing expulsion along with her friends, who must band together with another group of witches in order to organize their school’s annual parade

of course, it never goes that easy, lol

genres: adventure, comedy, magic, fantasy, school

score: 7.92 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

TV Series

Little Witch Academia (TV) -

the story of a human girl who gets inspired by a witch’s magical show and decides she wants to become a witch herself, and, despite the obstacles she comes to face, continues on with enthusiasm and joy

it is suggested you watch the Little Witch Academia series in order - starting with the movie “Little Witch Academia” in 2013, then “Little Witch Academia: Mahoujikake no Parade” in 2015, followed by this anime

genres: adventure, comedy, magic, fantasy, school

score: 7.90 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Flying Witch -

a slice of life anime about a young girl who moves in with her cousins in order to continue her witchcraft training, who experiences many new things and shows those around her the magic of, well, magic

genres: slice of life, comedy, supernatural, magic, shounen

score: 7.63 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Junketsu no Maria
(Maria the Virgin Witch) -

the story of a witch who attempts to use her magic to avoid conflicts in the Hundred Year War, but is then forbidden to use her magic by the Archangel Michael, who warns her that her magic will be lost if she loses her virginity

genres: comedy, fantasy, historical, magic, seinen

score: 7.28 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Sugar Sugar Rune -

think of a cross between magical girls and witches, and you’ve got this anime - the story of two friends who are competing to see who will become the new Queen of the Witch World while collecting the hearts of humans

genres: fantasy, magic, shoujo

score: 7.54 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Hell there’s even witch harem anime:

Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo
(Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches) -

basically this guy and this girl kiss accidentally, which leads them to discover they can switch bodies this way, and they join a school club full of other people whose magical abilities are awakened with a kiss

genres: harem, mystery, comedy, supernatural, romance, school, shounen

score: 7.88 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Zero no Tsukaima
(The Familiar of Zero) -

a self absorbed witch with no magical talent screws up a(nother) magical ritual - only to find out she has summoned a boy, who is to be her familiar, bearing a mark that tells of extreme power

genres: action, adventure, harem, comedy, magic, romance, ecchi, fantasy, school

score: 7.59 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

If you’ve never seen it:

Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
(Puella Magi Madoka Magica) -

while the witches may not be the main focus, this anime is about a girl who is faced with the decision of becoming a magical girl in order to protect the world from evil witches, but it’s not as “magical” as it appears

this anime destroys lives - it is actually super intense and feelsy for being a “magical girl” anime

genres: drama, magic, psychological, thriller

score: 8.49 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Slightly less about witchcraft in general but:

Fairy Tail -

a long series (almost 400 episodes) about a girl who joins the magic guild of her dreams, called “Fairy Tail,” where strength, spirit, and family are what hold the ragtag group of wizards together

starts off funny and silly but then OMG THE FEELS; also there are two seasons, the first being 175 episodes and the second, sometimes listed as “Fairy Tail (2014),” being 102 episodes long

genres: action, adventure, comedy, magic, fantasy, shounen

score: 8.18 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
(The Irregular at Magic High School) -

this story follows two siblings training at a school for magic, though it is treated more like technology; she has plenty of magical potential, while he does not, though his skills and prowess lie elsewhere

genres: sci-fi, supernatural, magic, romance, school

score: 7.76 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Witch Craft Works -

the story of a high school boy who finds himself under the protection of a fire witch, trying to keep him from a mass of other witches, who wish to capture him for the power he has inside him

genres: action, fantasy, magic, seinen, supernatural

score: 7.21 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic -

a young magician offers to pay for some damages he caused by entering a nearby labyrinth, built by incredible magicians called Magi and full of wonderful treasures, which leads him on a fantastic adventure

genres: action, adventure, fantasy, magic, shounen

score: 8.23 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Rental Magica -

a boy takes over the family business - a service that sends mages and other supernatural beings out to assist people with magic - and struggles with it, due to being a coward, and dealing with those who threaten him

genres: mystery, supernatural, fantasy

score: 7.17 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Witch Hunter Robin -

a young craft user joins a team of witch hunters, replacing one who was previously killed, to assist them on their mission of capturing witches to find out how any why they become witches in the first place

genres: action, drama, magic, mystery, police, supernatural

score: 7.35 of 10 on [MyAnimeList]

Edits

@elfshot recommends [Ultra Maniac] ; genres: magic, comedy, romance, school, shoujo.

“Mother, it’s your day” - Batmom x Batfam

It’s not mother’s day where I come from, but since it is in a shitload of countries…Well, I wrote something with the batfamily about it (I wrote it in litteraly 10 minutes, writing as words came to my mind, and didn’t proof read, sorry if there’s mistakes, and if it’s meh). Hope you’ll like it, don’t hesitate to tell me what you think, feedbacks are always appreciated  :

_______________________________________________________________________

It was 6 am when they came back from patrol. As usual, they found you asleep in Bruce’s giant chair, in front of the batcomputer, waiting for them to come back.

You would usually wake up at the sound of their arrival, however today, you were in a deep slumber…You had quite a difficult and busy week. Bruce, knowing that, stopped Damian from waking you up.

He couldn’t blame the boy though. He was too excited…it was his first “Mother’s Day” after all. Damian annoyed his brothers all night, asking for advice about what he was suppose to do on that day, and once he understood the purpose of it, got really excited about showing you how much you meant to him…But right now, you needed your sleep.

To be honest, they all needed sleep. It could wait a few hours.

Raising you delicately in his arms, Bruce took you back to the master’s bedroom. You didn’t stir when he laid you in bed, and you didn’t even react to the sound of him taking a shower. When he slipped in bed, you went to snuggle against him, but he realized that it was more a reflex than you being awake, and with a small smile on his face, he wrapped his arms around you and soon, he was asleep too.

************************

The smell of eggs and bacon is what woke you up. And Bruce’s groans.

You opened one eye, and then the other, slowly, sleep still fogging your vision a bit. You weren’t sure what were those four forms at the end of your bed…

-I sure hope you guys aren’t naked under the cover, cause that’s a sight I don’t wanna see right after waking up.

Sorry if this is too much (or you don't get it) but could I please have some prompts about a person who can be killed as many times as possible, but still keep coming back (keep living)? I don't know if there is a word for that thing, sorry! ;;;;

1) “What’s it like?” They asked. “Dying?”
“I don’t know,” they replied, avoiding the question. “I’m not exactly very good at it, am I?”

2) “That’s not possible.” Their enemy stared in horror as their hands knitted back together, flesh closing, a body putting itself back together like some grotesque version of the iron giant plucking pieces of a corpse across a beach. Except, in this case, it was a dimly lit warehouse. The protagonist flashed them a lopsided grin.
“This is the bit where you run.”

3) “You’re a miracle.”
They gasped, still not used to the rush of life. Like being electrified. And, each time they died, it felt like something essential inside them was being chipped away.
The antagonist touched a reverent hand to their chest, above their lurching heart. “My miraculous monster.”
“What have you done?”
“I couldn’t lose you.”

4) The world blurred into focus - life began again. Each time, somewhere different. A different body, different face, different place, different time. It didn’t matter where or who so long as that person they became had died only seconds before.

Stay Close | Peter Parker

Pairing: Peter Parker x Reader

masterlist

You had always been a light sleeper, the slightest movement or sound would have you opening your eyes to see what it was. Tonight was no different. The soft sound of something falling onto the metal of your fire escape shook you out of slumber.

You slowly opened your eyes, half-dazed from the interrupted sleep and briefly see the darkness of your room before a red figure moves in from your window. Your eyes focus and you see your best friend, Peter Parker, Midtown’s resident nerd, and also your friendly neighborhood Spider-man.

He had taken off his mask and in the dim lighting you could only faintly see the outlines of his face. You sent him a soft smile as he turned to check if you were awake, you always were. “Hey,” you said softly, not wanting to wake your family nor disturb the silence in your room. “Hey.”

He was moving slower than usual. Maybe he had a bad day, or a bad week. You frowned at the thought. He pressed into the spider on his chest and his suit slowly fell off of him, leaving him in his boxers. You turned away despite knowing you could not see in the dark anyway.

He stood for a while, waiting for a sign to tell him what to do. He had no clue why his tired body brought him to your place instead of his. You, still somewhat half-asleep, reached out to him. Grabbing onto his bruised hand, you softly tugged him to you. You moved to the side as he slowly got in bed with you.

You were both uncharacteristically quiet. The pair who always talked about anything and everything under the sun now laid in silence and it was a difference you both could get used to. You could feel your eyes slowly start to close as sleep called you once again. Peter turned to you and smiled as he saw your sleepy face.

You were halfway to saying how unfair it was that he could see you but you could not really see him but it was not worth breaking the peaceful forcefield you had crafted around you both. “Sleep,” he whispered as he ran a hand from your cheek to your hair. He could definitely get used to this. You leaned into his touch and moved even closer to him.

“Stay close,” you whispered, it was almost inaudible but you knew he heard you. He smiled once again and pulled you even closer. “Always.“

It was too much. It wasn’t enough.

Adam adjusted his messenger bag sluggishly, keeping his finger pressed to the outer bottom corner where the edge of his Latin textbook was threatening to fall through and cause more damage to the worn leather. The constant pressure made his bones grind, wing bone pressing tightly against his skin.

There’d been a test in Latin today. He’d done well, he knew he had. He’d recited the verb endings to himself over and over again at the garage, chanting in his head, lips mouthing the vowels to the rhythm of his wrench-twisting wrist, to the beat of the barely working radio his boss always kept on in the break room, anything. It was good. It was the kind of work that could be done with other work.

School had been fine. He’d been tired, but it was fine. He could survive his shift at the garage. He had a granola bar. Only, then Marty had been sick today. And Adam didn’t have two cars to work on, he had four. He’d been given Marty’s work as overtime as a given, without being asked. It was an assumption. A slightly insulting one, but correct all the same. He needed the money. God, everyone knew he needed the money. But it meant this.

He’d gotten work done, that wasn’t the problem. The problem was that it was close to two in the morning and he had to be up at six, ready and bright-eyed to start the cycle over again. Over and over. School, work, (sleep?), school, work, (sleep?), school….

Adam closed his eyes when he reached the church door. Pressing his hand to the wood, he let himself fall away for a moment, just a little. Wind only barely made it to his skin, leaves touched his fingertips so lightly that it prickled. Then he pulled back, opened his eyes, sighing. He’d fall over if he let himself relax to much, pass out right here outside of the church, like some unwanted child left by a un-needing mother. Adam almost smirked as he pushed at the door. How fitting.

It was the stairs that really got him. There were barely twelve of them but there might as well have been twelve hundred. He pushed his palm flat to the wall, swaying on the spot when he reached the sixth. He felt his cheek press against his hand and realized he was tilting to his left. He blinked open his eyes, which he hadn’t realized had closed, eyelashes brushing the satin wallpaper that lined the narrow stairwell. He hated this wall paper. It was patterned in leaves, green and shiny, with millions and millions of haloed angels among them, peaking out, hiding, clutching, smiling. He wanted to tear it, wanted to get Cabeswater to tear it, because nature had nothing to do with these angels, this God. God had nothing to do with nature. Nature was Cabsewater, it was separate. It had done everything for him, it had saved him, given him a purpose. Brought him Ronan. And what had God ever done for him? Given him a father that beat on him, a mother who turned a blind eye, and a deaf ear? They didn’t belong on the same wall, much less the same plane. Breathing hard, he pushed away, feet slamming on the last six steps and dragging down the dimly lit hallway.

His hand shook putting the key into the lock and he leaned his forehead against the cool wood, nearly stumbling over when the door clicked open. He went to turn his light on when he realized, after much too long a period to be normal, that it was already lit. The dim, shaded bulb cast the room in a foggy glow, or, more importantly, cast Ronan in a foggy glow. Ronan, beautiful, sharp Ronan sat sprawled on his bed, Chainsaw asleep on the window sill next to him, blue eyes blinking slowly up at him at first, then more alert. He sat up, Chainsaw only lifting her head from beneath her wing for a moment to make sure he wasn’t going anywhere.

“Took you long enough, Parish.” His mouth curved up slightly, “Your burrito is cold.”

Adam just stared at him, squinting his eyes, blinking hard.

He caught glimpses of Ronan’s face morphing into one of confusion, then worry, but it was like the room wouldn’t stay in focus, “Parish?”

Adam felt his bag drop from his shoulder and heard the unmistakable tear of leather. He cursed, but found his lips wouldn’t move enough to make the actual word, just a blurred version of it. Then he was falling. Then he wasn’t. He didn’t know if he had been falling for hours or seconds, but suddenly there were arms around his waist and breath against his neck. Time was gone, and all that was left was Ronan and the ache in Adam’s bones.

“Jesus.” Ronan was now saying, “Jesus, Adam-“ There was worry in Ronan’s voice that Adam didn’t often hear. It made it softer somehow, when worry usually made voices harder. But this was Ronan Lynch. This was Ronan. When was anything ever usual?

Adam couldn’t help it, he let his weight fall against Ronan’s chest, boots slipping against the floor, fingers digging into Ronan’s biceps. He expected Ronan to stumble against the sudden assault, but his arms just tightened, holding Adam against him, chest unmoving.

“Fuck, you can’t even- fucking stand. Fuck.”

When Adam blinked his eyes open next, he was on the bed, Ronan carefully pulling his feet up as well. It had only been a second then. It had felt like years. God, what would an entire night of sleep feel like? Death? Was that what it had come to? Sleep feeling like death? Was that how his body was trying to cope with the lack of it?

His inner ramble was cut off by quick fingers through his hair. He caught a glimpse of Ronan’s worried eyes and then all he could hear was the crinkling of a bag before his chest was being lifted up. He was confused. He would have expected pillows but he only had the one, and it certainly wouldn’t prop him up this high. Instead, he was met with the firmness of Ronan’s chest, the comfort of his arm across his stomach, his thighs snug against his hips, and the mouth of a water bottle pushing against his lips.

“Small sips.” Ronan’s voice was gruff, demanding, “Don’t fucking throw up on me, Parish.”

Adam did as he was told, but only for a second before his head was lolling back against Ronan’s chest, eyes slipping closed. He breathed heavily through his mouth.

“Ro…”

He felt Ronan sigh and stretch to put the water on the window sill, “Yeah. ‘m here.” He felt the fingers in his hair again, slower this time. He felt leather against his temple, then, “You aren’t going to school tomorrow.”

Adam opened his eyes at that, craning his neck backwards so he could see Ronan’s face, “Yes.”

Ronan looked down at him, their noses almost touching. He narrowed his eyes in a very Ronan-like way, “No.”

Honestly, Adam couldn’t argue. He was pretty sure he’d just passed out eleven times in the last five minutes. He already felt his eyes closing again, but he struggled against it, needing one more thing, “You’re going to school tomorrow.”

Ronan scoffed at him. The annoyed noise sounded odd paired with the soft way he was still stroking Adam’s hair back from his forehead, “No.”

Yes.”

Ronan rolled his eyes. Adam could see the way he was biting the insides of his lips, holding the words back. He slouched down on the measly rag of Adam’s pillow and made a face, “What the fuck is this?”

Adam just smiled a little, allowing his eyes to slip closed with the knowledge that Ronan was in for the night with him. He asked that question every time he intended to stay.

There were a few beats of silence. Adam didn’t know how he was still awake. But the air was filled with Ronan about to, waiting, unsure, needing to say something.

“You… You can’t do this.” Ronan’s fingers stilled in his hair, sliding down and tightening around his waist, “I can’t watch you do this.”

Adam mustered enough strength to sigh and roll onto his stomach, chest against chest, nose against neck, “Don’t want to talk about this now.”

Ronan growled a little in his throat, frustration, “You fucking- You fucking passed out-“

“Please.” Adam said against his skin. It was sticky from the humid night air, smelling strongly of grass and heat. If Adam hadn’t been so tired, he was sure he’d be kissing and licking every part of it he could reach by now. Maybe he’d dream of that instead.

Ronan sighed, pushing his cheek against Adam’s head, rubbing gently as if trying to calm himself. His voice came out a whisper when he spoke next, “Just let me get you a pillow. Please, just let me get you a fucking pillow. This is bullshit.”

Adam shushed him softly, already half asleep, ear catching each thump of Ronan’s heart, “Yes. You can buy me a pillow.”

He felt Ronan nod, then, a second later, “…two pillows. One for you and one for…”

Adam pressed a kiss to his jaw, “Two pillows.”

It’s an Older Sibling Thing (Part 2): Please Come Home

Characters: Dean Winchester x Friend!Reader, Sam Winchester x Friend!Reader

Length: 1544+ words

TW: Descriptions of Injuries. Character death. Just sadness and angst all over (I made myself cry writing this tbh)

A/N: There was so many interest in a Part 2, and at first I wasn’t going to write one, but after my exam yesterday, I got into a flow of writing it, and I finished it! Hope you guys like it! Feedback is encouraged!

Part 1

“What the hell, Dean?!” Sam shouted. He had given his older brother the silent treatment from the moment they left the motel weeks ago. But seeing Dean, relaxing on the couch, with a beer in hand, not even fazed that he had kicked out one of their closest friend irked Sam to no end. “What did you say to her?!”

The oldest Winchester rolled his eyes, crossing his arms in defiantly. “I didn’t say anything that wasn’t true.”

“Why’d she leave?”

“Beats me.” Dean shrugged, taking another gulp of his drink.

“She said she understands why you kicked her out,” Sam said in a more quieter tone, changing his tactics.

“Good. At least she knows she was a selfish-”

“Dean!” Sam exclaimed, shocked that his brother would say such things about someone who they were close friends with.

“How can you not be angry?” Dean asked. “Because of her, you were hurt, Sam! It’s my job to protect you, and she was in the way of that.”

“You’re an idiot, you know that?”

Dean scoffed.

“She didn’t tell the demons anything. You think the demons haven’t picked up a few things from us?”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Dean asked, his eyes narrowing in curiosity.

“They only kidnapped Y/N for her phone. They used the same tactic as we do when we’re tracking someone- all you need is a phone number.”

“Son of a bitch.”

“Yea. You fucked up, Dean. Whatever you said to her, you fucked up.”

“Sammy-”

“No. Fix this, Dean. I was my sister back.” Sam shook his head, walking away to his room.

“Sist- What?”

The hazel-eyed man stopped, turning his slightly around to look at his brother’s confused face. “She’s always been family to us- to me at least. And you kicking her out like that doesn’t change that.”

“Dammit,” Dean cursed under his breath, watching his younger brother walk away. “Fuck.” He closed his eyes tightly, trying to think of ways to fix his mess.

Tell Me

Summary: Sam has this habit of distracting you every time he comes to visit. Working out more, forgetting to wear a shirt, you know the drill. But what happens when he finds a way to distract you when you’re in class as well?

Word Count: 5187 (got a little carried away. Not sorry at all)

Warnings: Implied smut. Sam Fucking Winchester (let’s be honest here, he is a warning all in himself)

A/N: @dancing-the-hellfire-rumba‘s fic Sexy Bastard is the fic that started this whole thing. Seriously, as soon as I read her summary “Sam is a fucking tease, okay?” I knew that I was done for. I’ve been working on this for an entire week because it just had to be done. Also, perfect timing! Happy Birthday Sam Winchester, you tease!

“How about that homework last night?” Jonathan asked, sliding into his normal seat beside you.

“Ugh, don’t remind me,” Nelly groaned, turning in her chair to talk to you two. “Lil and I worked on it for six hours and we still don’t know if we did it right.”

“Right?” You agreed emphatically, getting war flashbacks to your battles with the case study and your excel spreadsheet. “I swear, we haven’t even learned half of the stuff it was asking us to do.”

Rhetta pushed her chair closer and you fought to hold back your eye-roll. Here comes her self-righteous, better-than-you speech. “Actually, we learned about the regression analysis last week, and it was just a hop, skip, and a jump to answering question five from there.”

How about you just hop, skip, and jump away from us?

I Waited (2/2)

Words: 7,671 (self-control? what is that?)

Summary: Bucky waits for Y/N.

Thank you so much for all the love on the first part, I really hope you enjoy this one, please be sure to give me your feedback. It is always truly appreciated. Much love to each and every one of your cute faces! <3

A year.

It had been an entire year. Three hundred and sixty-five days, 365 days since you had gotten married.

356 days since you had vowed before a God to spend the rest of your life with a man who wasn’t Bucky.

365 long, painful days of watching you being loving, caring and spending your most precious time with your husband and not Bucky.

It had been an entire 365 days, and yet, your husband, Ian, hadn’t taken you on a honeymoon before a week ago. Bucky wanted to throw up. If it had been him, he would’ve taken you on that honeymoon the second the wedding was over, yet Ian had waited almost an entire year. If that wasn’t enough, Ian had decided to post every single picture from the honeymoon on Facebook for the world to see. The former Winter Soldier felt nausea building in his stomach for every time he clicked on the keyboard for the next picture to show. The feeling of nausea wasn’t a new one to Bucky; it was linked directly to whenever he had to you with Ian together. It was there, seated along with a deep cutting heartache which didn’t disappear no matter how much he wanted it to.
