Imagine Woozi hugging you whilst reassuring you that things will be alright when you start getting overwhelmed.

the movement to redefine gender from its earlier definition of “patriarchally-defined, oppressive sex roles” into this idea of gender as self-defined, as part of self-discovery, is absolutely the most devastating thing to happen for female rights in the past decade. It legitimises the gender role of woman. But “womanhood” as socially constructed is not morally neutral. It is the means of female oppression: the violent demand and enforcement of femininity–of weakness, passivity, submission, self-sacrifice, of being seen as only a sex object and breeding tool for males–on female children to force them into this mold of “woman”. This is what Simone de Beauvoir meant when she said “woman is not born, she is made”

So what now? Regardless of how we feel about it, 99% of humans will continue to be born unambiguously male or female–humans are sexually dimorphic. Instead of denying this, we can and should instead fight for a world in which male and female people are liberated from oppressive gender norms and can exist on equal terms of personhood. I see no better words for this than Bell Hooks’s vision:

“[…] to focus on the fact that to be ‘feminist’ in any authentic sense of the term is to want for all people, female and male, liberation from sexist role patterns, domination and oppression.”

I don't get people who complain that tracer being gay but not showing it in gameplay is cheap?

She’s the COVER of the game.

Having a lesbian be, like, the first character associated with the game is great.

Plus it’s a game where you supposed to shoot and kill the other team.

Where the hell was tracer supposed to be gay?

Like did you want her to hit on female characters in the game?? She’s dating someone, why would she do that?

Sometimes I’m scared that I’ll open my mouth, and all my unfiltered feelings will come gushing out. What if you hear me? What if you don’t?
