I’m really wondering how the Grand Prix Final will be formatted though.
Because by now we’ve seen all the skaters’ programs.
Well, except for Otabek. We’ll be seeing Otabek for the first time though! Yay!
We’ll definitely see Yuuri and Yurio skating their full programs again because they’re the most relevant characters in the story, but I don’t think they will show the entire programs of all the other characters, perhaps parts of them, but not all.
Because the programs were always a means to describe a character’s backstory, their motivation and their current feelings. But now that we know two out of three of the aforementioned things, we’re left with their feelings and I doubt we’ll sacrifice precious runtime to show the entire programs just to illustrate their feelings.
I’m personally hoping for more off ice/backstage action and interaction, perhaps partly threaded with what is currently going on on the ice (like in episode 7). This will also hopefully be when we learn of Victor’s backstory (*prays for a heart to heart with Yuuri when they finally get on the same page*).
It may be the Final, but we’ve already seen all of those programs and simply rehashing them now and pretending they’re newer and better wouldn’t make sense. So I’m either gonna disappointed or very very pleased (latter is more likely).
Steve was left staring at the back of your head as you walked away with Bucky. He thought he was doing the right thing; getting you back into work, feeling the motivation take over the need to lounge around on your couch. Ultimately, as he watched Bucky’s fingers tangle with yours, he realized that he’d gone about things the wrong way. You were more than just his boss, you were his best friend. Some days you were the only person he could turn to and he cared about you deeply.
A lump formed in his throat as he pushed his hands into the pockets of his jeans. His eyes found the pavements, willing the tears back into their ducts. As if his luck couldn’t get any worse, rain started pouring from the sky, soaking through the dirty blond locks on his head.
“I don’t want any trouble, papi chulo,” Tesla called across the counter that her elbows rested on.
FINALLY DONE! This summer I worked at Zara and I wanted to draw my all team to thanks them for their welcome! Some of them were really kind, some were… ok ^^ And I also needed to practice a little because i haven’t done a lot of drawings during my “vacations” :p
You are more than 4K following me!!! that’s CRAAAAAAAZZZZZYYYY thank you sooo much for the support it really motivates me :D (by the way sorry for the poor english T-T) I would like to add an “ask” link on my tumblr theme without changing everything…but I don’t know how… but I will find (: !
how would the rfa members react to mc falling sick and possibly fainting as a result? :O
I hope these are okay! I was kinda sleep deprived when I wrote some of them last night.
Yoosung: He couldn’t remember being more afraid in all his life. MC was the person he loved the only person he’d loved in all his life and they were unconscious.
He couldn’t stop his mind from going to “What if they died?”
It hadn’t been that long to him since Rika had died and that fear was still raw in his mind.
What if he lost someone else, what if he lost the person that convinced him to live again even after Rika died? What if he lost the person that motivated him more than anyone else, that trusted and believed in and loved him?
Surely he was overreacting.
Still he sobbed as he sat in the waiting room at the hospital.
The cold white walls with a few framed pictures of flowers or fruit that seemed sorely misplaced. It was a pitiful attempt to brighten up a monotone room, to make it look more inviting and less like you were waiting to hear the worst news a person could hear.
It was a sad attempt and obviously the person who had designed the hospital knew this.
Jaehee: She was terrified.
It wasn’t normal for people to just, pass out like this was it? It made it difficult for her to breath and think, even as she dialled emergency services. She managed to explain what had happened in a relatively calm tone of voice, even though she felt like she might die from fear.
“They had a bad fever this morning,” She was saying, “But I thought it had started to go down. They said that they were feeling a little better not to long ago.” She knew she was rambling, but simply couldn’t help it.
What would she do if this was serious? What would she do if, someone MC wasn’t okay? But they had to be okay. She wouldn’t accept any other answer.
Jumin: Jumin knows people in many professional fields, especially the medical field, so when he learns that MC isn’t feeling well he immediately contacts multiple doctors that he knows to make sure that MC is getting appropriate care.
“Just make sure that their fever doesn’t get any higher.” and “Try and get them to drink lots of water.”
He thought that everything was well under control when MC fainted.
Immediately he’d be calling the doctors in a panic, making sure that someone could be there to make sure MC was okay, that they were safe, that they wouldn’t have to be in a hospital.
He couldn’t help but shake from head to toe when the doctor arrives at his apartment and he quickly shows them into where MC was lying on the couch, blankets wrapped around them.
“Please,” Jumin said, desperation seeping into his voice, “Make them better.”
Zen: This wasn’t supposed to be how it worked. They were sick, but it was normal for people to get sick. People got sick all the time, but after a few days they got better, so what had gone so wrong with MC?
He couldn’t remember ever being seriously ill before, at least nothing that he couldn’t get over in a few days.
But MC was lying on the couch where he’d carefully moved them after they passed out. He’d placed a pillow under their head and a soft, warm blanket over them.
Like this it almost looked like they were just sleeping, but for the pallor of their skin.
Only then did he call the EMS, followed by Jaehee, then Yoosung, and then, reluctantly Jumin.
The moment Jumin picked up the phone, terrified, frenetic words poured from Zen’s lips and as much as he hated the fact, it was Jumin who managed to get him to take deep breaths and calm down and it was Jumin who remained on the phone, helping to reassure Zen that MC would be fine until help arrived.
707: This was his fault. Maybe it wasn’t directly his fault that they’d gotten sick or even that they’d passed out right in front of him, but certainly there was more he could have done, right?
He should have taken time off work, devoted all of his attention to them until they were completely better.
He should have taken their temperature, gotten them medicine, doted over them until everything was okay instead of barely even noticing that they seriously sick and now they were unconscious.
He’d immediately decide to drive them to the hospital himself.
It wouldn’t do to give anyone their address, but he wasn’t going to let anything else happen to MC if he could help it and if he was overreacting and they didn’t need to be in the hospital at all, than that would be great.
I’ve been out for the count with a terrible headcold since release date that really kicked my ass. I was confined to my bed with a terrible headache. Regardless, I felt well enough this morning to fix most issues (in the patch notes.)
Coming back and seeing all the positive messages about the demo and even some saying how it’s helped subside darker thoughts really motivates me to continue onwards with this project, regardless of the costs. I know some have said some hate towards it, but those were more personal-preference complaints rather than feedback (lore is wrong, this is wrong, that’s not right, etc.) And they are more entitled to say what they think. It’s their right.
All I’ve ever wanted to do is help people and I’m glad it’s working, in its own crazy way. I’m so happy that my team and I created something so worthwhile to you guys thus far.
As a side note, Team Spritedgy and us have put aside our differences very recently to work towards creating a brighter future for the UNDERTALE-community. We plan on helping people who are interesting in becoming content-creators but have no way or knowhow to do so. We will have more information on this later, but it’s the first step in uniting the community to form stronger bonds together. I hope it works out.
We can do this, all of us, together. I’m glad you guys believe in me just as I believe in all of you. UNDERTALE has a wonderful fandom, and Toby Fox made it all happen.
I think I’m going to go get some more rest, my throat feels like the skin was peeled off as I write this post and my head is pounding. Later, ya’ll.
Yuri!!! on Ice episode 7 -aka- the episode that saved 2016 ~
This entire episode…
I feel as if I can keep this shorter for once (HA)… But seriously, I lack the motive for going in depth with the conclusion of this episode, simply because there’s nothing much more that my words can do to add to the catharsis it brought me. Do you feel it? The perfect sigh that makes its way past a deeply beating heart and out through trembling lips? This sort of validation rarely exists. At least not here, in what could have been a mere sports anime.
Phichit owning the competition. This boy personally motivated himself to achieve more, and he won. I am entirely grateful to the writers for deciding not to sideline the other key players. This development made our Viktuuri moment more special. Basically we were treated to two surprising wins instead of one unsurprising one.
‘Viktor’s poor attempts at coaching worked by failing miserably’ - under the cut! Spoilers ahoy.
Hi everyone! Today in class we were able to learn about the Myers-Brigg Type Indicator (MBTI) so I have a more in-depth result of the boys and their personalities! Read this post if you’re interested in learning more about the boys :)

G, words cannot describe how thankful I am for you. You've gotten me through my darkest days, and you're one the main reasons I'm still alive. You were there for me when no one else was. You've made me smile through the tears. You've motivated me when I need it most. You mean so much to me. Watching your videos and listening to your music has become a part of my daily routine. You've even helped me become a more positive person. I can't thank you enough for everything you've done. I love you💜💜
Aww, I’m so glad that I can help you. Please stay strong and keep going. I’ll be here for you 💜🔥
throughout this entire election process, from literally day one, i have kept track of everything. i have watched the polls, i watched every single debate, i voted in the primaries, i participated in rallies, i did everything that i could
but there were a few people that truly helped keep me informed, motivated, and inspired to do all that i could to create real change, and i want to personally thank them.
the first person i want to thank is Hillary Clinton herself. She represented what was right in this world, she represented equality, and peace, and love, and her platform and her campaign helped spread those messages, and despite her loss, what she left behind will never be forgotten and I will not stop fighting for it.
the second person i want to thank is you guys. for using your voice and for speaking out and for supporting what you believe in, and for never giving up. you are the strongest people i know, i’m so lucky to be surrounded by such positive people, and i want you to know that i am eternally grateful to you guys and i will always stand by your side no matter what.
and finally, there is one person that has been so present during this election, that has helped keep me informed, and up to date, and the fact that he’s one of my favorite people in the entire world just makes it even better, and i’m sure i’m not alone in that statement, because i’m talking about Tyler Oakley.
Tyler, i’m sure you’ve seen posts already, whether they’re mine or not (there are many i will admit) but I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, from me to you, thank you. @tyleroakley Thank you for never backing down, for fighting until the very last minute, for using your voice and your platform and your influence to promote only the good in this world, and for doing so in a manner that is not degrading to the other side, that is respectful, that is admirable, that is, in my opinion, heroic. I am ridiculously proud to call myself a fan of yours, and I know for a fact that you will never stop fighting. You deserve the world and more, and I thank you for speaking up for those of us whose voices get lost in the crowd.
this is not the end. i will not stop fighting. i know you guys won’t stop fighting. we must band together now, fight for what is right, and never stop loving one another. i love you guys like you’re my family, i believe that you should feel safe in your own country, and i know that together, we can beat this.
people are gonna be offended I know it
…but i just wanna compare these two idiots for a sec here;
•both are great charmers
•they actually think before they act (sometimes *glares at Sangwoo*)
•actually fucking know what they are doing
•still don’t have a clear motive
•mostly target women (Dad is just stingy)
•someone is trying to stop them but just c a n ’ t
•everyone in both fandoms hate/despise/fear them
hello, it’s me *sings like adele* so, i’m a terrible
procrastinator, BUT i realized i can actually be productive, despite my lack of
will to study or to do anything useful. i decided to share with you guys some
tips & tricks i use for my study sections. hope you enjoy!
1. first of all, get motivated. studyblrs are here for this. you can also see pictures of notes and books and desks on pinterest, instagram (look for studygrams), weheartit or even watch studying videos on youtube. i do not recommend you to do this for much more than five minutes though. i know for personal experience that you’ll probably get distracted by other stuff online. set an alarm on your phone if necessary.
2. get up and dress up. literally, this helps me a lot. if you’re on your pajamas, change. dress up as if you were actually going to school. no need for makeup or doing your hair though. just put some comfortable jeans on, a t-shirt and a hoodie and you’re fine. it will make you feel a lot more awake while studying, believe me.
3. wash your face and brush your teeth. again, as if you were going to school. you’ll feel fresh and awake. i prefer using cold water, even though it can burn the hell out of your face when it’s winter.
4. get everything you’re gonna need for this section and put them somewhere close enough so you don’t have to get up to get them. grab your books, notebooks, binders, planners, pens, pencils, calendars, papers… everything. don’t forget to get a snack and a bottle of water.
5. sit up straight in a chair. please, you can do whatever you want, but don’t study in your bed or in the couch. you’re much more likely to feel sleepy and actually fall asleep. also, you’re gonna end up losing your stuff in the middle of the blankets and pillows and you will lose some valuable time searching for your pens and papers.
6. turn on the “do not disturb” mode on your phone. people always say i should turn off my phone and leave it in another room while studying, but it just doesn’t feel realistic to me. you can also turn off the notifications for the apps that usually notify you (it’s helped me a lot, but i always forget to turn them on again later).
7. write down your goals for the day. what do you need to get done in this study section? make a simple list, try to make it as small as you can, because you will only feel less motivates to finish them.
8. stay away from clocks, don’t check the time on your phone. it makes you focus a lot more on actually studying than worrying about how long you’ve been studying and for how long you’re still gonna be studying. sometimes you freak out because you think there’s not gonna be enough time to finish whatever you have to get done, am i right? i know, i’m just like you. so forget about the time, because when you do it, believe me, it will fly and you’ll study more efficiently for a longer period of time and still won’t get as stressed out.
9. take a break or two. do not study for a long period of time without stopping to breathe. the pomodoro method doesn’t work for me. i prefer having one or two 30 minute breaks than setting thousands of alarms and keeping checking the clock to see how much time i still have left of studying. plus, don’t let your breaks become a reason for you to get back to procrastination. try staying away from the tv and the internet. i like to lay down on the floor and just philosophize (bed is too comfy, i’d fall asleep), play my guitar, sing, take a shower, listen to music, eat something or even do a little workout section.
10. F O C U S. i know it’s hard, but once you start actually paying attention to what you’re reading, i’ll will come out naturally.
11. if you have any doubts about something you’ve seen on your material, or if something is missing, it’s okay to ask google or a friend. just don’t end up on social media.
12. listen to music. i prefer songs that i can’t sing along, just instrumental songs. everything is effective: from acoustic guitar to classical music. besides the fact that it helps you forget about the outer world, it can help you make your study section a little less dull.
13. SNACK! you can thank me for this one already. food
equals life, right? and believe it or not, snacking while studying is really
helpful. it doesn’t only reduce stress, but it helps you concentrating. try
not to get anything juicy or greasy, the probability of getting your materials
dirty is a lot bigger. also, i prefer smaller foods, like peanuts or cookies or a sliced apple, because they take longer to
end and they’re so much more practical AND it feels like you’re eating a lot
more than you actually are. put stuff in a bowl so it’s easier to grab and you
don’t lose any time with it.
14. stop feeling sorry for yourself. you’re not a victim.
you have problems, and a lot of work, but remember that you’re not alone. everyone goes through it.
15. study in a pretty environment, if possible. make your
desk pretty and clean, or study near a window (just don’t waste time staring at
the city). it helps you get inspired to actually do some work.
Reader is Trevor's best friend who builds stuff and paints things, and one day they come in to bring pizza to AH because Trevor told them that the office wouldn't have time to eat, and Jeremy is like "Trevor, how dare you hide this perfect and amazing person from me, I thought we were friends!" Bonus if the reader is tall and still wear high heels, even if where they work is more hands on and gritty
Word Count: 535
You had recently gotten a job at Rooster Teeth in the art department thanks to your best friend Trevor. You thought he had alternative motives since he had you running errands and was spending time in live action a lot more than he should be.
“You are a goddamn queen,” Barbara commented watching you work on a piece for the next short. “I can’t even wear heals around the office and your in them using power tools.”
You laughed, “I pretty much grew up in them so I think I would be off balance without them.” You put your helmet down and continued using the blow torch.
I think everyone struggles with motivation at some point, and it’s important to remind yourself why you’re here, why you’re doing this, what it was that made you take this path. I made a masterpost not too long ago talking about the kinds of motivation there are and how we can use them.
Today, as a part of universi-tea’s September challenge, I want to talk about how I personally get myself motivated. I’m not gonna pretend that it always works, but it does more often than not.
I remind myself why I took this class. I remember that I was once excited about it, and I try to relive that feeling.
I think about what I want to achieve. The grade I need to go abroad, for example, or to prove that I can pass this class well.
I remember the many classes I took that were much more horrible than my current ones, for example sports in school. It makes me appreciate my current English and maths classes a lot because in comparison, they’re amazing.
If nothing of that works because I’m stubborn and frustrated, I’ll rely on old but gold techniques:
I’ll promise myself a reward as soon as I get something done. My usuals are watching a football match on TV, a nice bubble bath, unlimited reading in the evening, or a nice long phone call with my best friend.
I get myself chocolate, which makes studying much sweeter. Alternatively cookies, gingerbread, shortbread, or anything else with too much sugar. Grapes are okay as well.
I convince myself to do at least one pomodoro session, which will likely show me that it isn’t that bad and turn into three or four.
The reason my banner emphasizes the “you”, though, is that I really want to know your strategies! What do you do to keep yourself motivated, or to stop procrastinating? Do you need your favourite snack with you, a study group, or twenty minutes of studyspo browsing on tumblr? Reblog and add to this post, reply, or send me an ask and I’ll publish it! Alternatively, make your own post and tag me with #athenastudying :)
Beauty—or the desire to be beautiful—is in itself a dangerous motivation. Someone (I forgot who) once said, ‘Does the person who loves someone for their beauty really love them?’ So don’t focus on beauty … a respectable appearance is sufficient to make people more interested in your soul. It is the sum of our experiences that makes us interesting, and having been through a time in your life in which you were in a bad place (or what you perceived as a bad place) physically can be useful. It can even be necessary.
Thought you would appreciate info on letter writer to shut down any rumors on SH and MM marriage. The background info provided to give insight into where the stuff was coming from. Didn't like the critique of my methods. Maybe my little network group can be of better service elsewhere. Sorry, not sorry in sharing what we know.
I’m sorry if your feelings were hurt by my comments. They were not directed at you in particular, but more the tendency that this fandom has of trying to control every aspect of the fandom.
I probably wasn’t clear on that
My personal standard is that I try not to comment on things related to Mackenzie, simply because she is irrelevant to me and how I choose to fan about Outlander, and SamCait. So, the rumour in the letter was of zero consequence to me. I haven’t seen that anyone is at all concerned by it. The letter was, imo, only meant to try and stir up shit. I suspect her motive was to get the serious journalist to write about something that is more fitting of a click bait writer.
Regardless, I apologize if you felt that I was critiquing you. It wasn’t intended.
In speaking part: My grades last semestre were on par with the best student in my programme, so I feel it would be accurate to say I am motivated by succes.
In writing task: After looking at both parts of discussion, my personal sentiments are on par with idea that strict parental control produces a more productive member of society.
Meaning:something unstable / negative in nature / changeable
Examples of use:
In speaking part: My professional schedule has been quite volatile this past year. I’ve thus found it difficult to maintain hobbies. I tend to exersice where I can, but I wouldn’t say there is a regular pattern to it.
In writing task 1: The figures exhibit volatile between the years 1996 and 2000; however, a revision to stability is seen in 2002.
In writing task 2: For example, the volatile nature of weather in Caribbean countries can make tourism unpredictable and therefore, unreliable.
Meaning: a period of time that shows inactivity
Examples of use:
In speaking part: When I first started studying English in Australia, my skills grew rapidly. However, after I returned to my home country, my language abilities unfortunately plateaued/hit a plateau. I attribute this to the fact that I did not have anyone to practice English with.
In writing task 1: Following a rapid growth from 60 to 180 barrels in the first month of 2002, corn oil production hit a plateau of 200 barrels between February and April. In May, however, the trend once again reverts to climbing and reaches the highest for the year at 275 barrels.
Meaning: to describe something that stimulates interests / to provoke; arouse
Examples of use:
In speaking part: After visiting a science and technology museum as a child, my interest in computer programming was piqued.
In writing task 2:Firstly, technology can pique the interest of students in a way that encourages focus and information retention. For example, modern university lecture halls make it possible for classrooms in Canada to use music, video and the Internet as a means of maintaining the attention of students during class time.
Meaning: to introduce opposing ideas / a fact or condition incompatible with another speaking
Examples of use:
In speaking part:Contrary to my personality, my sister is very outgoing and tends to make friends easily.
In writing task 2: On the contrary, several disadvantages stem from the use of technology in the classroom.
Meaning: something that occurs in the same manner / very similar and often happening at the same time
Examples of use:
In writing task 2: Firstly, several parallels exist between Harry Potter and other fantasy series you likely have enjoyed. If you liked the setting of The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter will not disappoint you, as it takes place in a medieval world richly populated by both humans and other forms of intelligent life.
Meaning: something that is accepted willingly and can be used in one’s advantage
Examples of use:
In speaking part: I embraced the opportunity to study abroad.
In writing task 2: Thus, it is clear that students who embrace the study of another language are positioning themselves for future academic and professional opportunities.
Meaning: to make (something, such as a task or action) slow or difficult or weaker / hold back
Examples of use:
In speaking part: Distraction has definitely been a challenge for me. Being social, I feel, is a big part of the university experience. However, being too social can hinder a student’s ability to focus, and this can directly impact academic performance.
In writing task 2: Firstly, addressing corruption around the world can bring protection to the rights of the poor, and this helps better the economic situation of those in need. For example, corruption in China has historically hindered the development of a legal system able to protect the poor against extortion. However, recent anti-corruption campaigns have shed some light on this problem, and this has led to modest improvement in the rights of those that lack wealth.
Meaning: to keep (someone) in a position, job, etc.
Examples of use:
In speaking part: Yes, I believe I will someday. I’ve travelled quite a bit, but I’ve always retained a feeling that I’d like to live in my home country long term.
In writing task 2: Firstly, if a single language is spoken and taught the world over, this could make it difficult for people to retain their cultural identity.
would you write more music if you were paid to? or would u have to get paid a lot for that to happen?
money has never been a great motivator for me, hence why I’m broke….its actually a paralyzer which Is why I don’t do commissions. I keep trying every once and a while, but as soon as someone is paying for something my anxiety skyrockets to the point of basically having a panic attack every time I try to work on The Thing.
I’m looking into getting some anxiety medication, which I really don’t want to do because i don’t have a great history with meds, but yeah it’s looking like I’m going to have to pretty soon because therapy didn’t help.
Not meaning to be negative or dump a bunch of baggage on u guys. just lettin you know why I don’t maybe produce content as regularly as I’d like. :\
25/09/2016 - my weekly review? all good, really! I’ve had this nasty cold, so I was a bit more like cotton wool than a person earlier this week (and I had to go back to a couple of teachers and apologise because I hadn’t understood what they were saying in the lesson, could they please explain it to me again haha) I got my first draft of my English coursework back, and I’ve already started working on that because the deadline is Monday 3rd October! I also had my first draft of my EPQ back which was really positive - my supervisor sounded surprised when he told me it was actually interesting! my predicted grade was changed with no problem, so now I’m applying to university with the best predictions I could possibly hope for, and I can’t tell you how pleased I am about that! Speaking of - after I’ve been to work today, I’m going to pay and send my application!! how exciting/nervewracking/weird is that?! I did a practise admissions test paper yesterday, but I can’t really tell how it went… and we had a meeting about the trip to Italy that I’m going on with one of my closest friends - 3 weeks today!! honestly, it’s been a great week. hopefully you can all say the same, and if not, just hold out, i’m sure next week will be better!
Can you explain the Uranus-Neptune generational conjunction? A lot people in our generation has it and I wanted to hear from you about what it means and how it resonates with us. Also I have the conjunction in the 8th house could explain how that works?
Sure. I only have Neptune in 8 done though, I have yet to do Uranus in 8,
Uranus Conjunct Neptune
Uranus in conjunction aspect to Neptune is a generational influence in which the person is born at a time when the boundaries of society were dissolved and brought into question. On a personal level this individual can dream of freedom and have an idealistic view towards social reform. A personal opinion tends to develop where an individual should have more power among society is usually the result of desires of social reform from the generational influence. With more power people can be motivated into believing they can make a difference and put more effort and emphasis towards reforming social standards. This can lead to taking social responsibilities seriously and being more deeply involved in wanting to help promote change for a better society.
