THANK YOU @mimimonart for the sneak peak of the PTT blu-ray box AND @nyx-psycho for sharing with me all the japan tutu info that’s on twitter and such!!!
Dedicating this post for @zerozeroren because there isn’t that much stuff on Autor in english and also b/c he’s awesome. Here’s my poor translation of Autor’s Voice Actor Yuu Urata’s tweet about the Blu-Ray Box release!
“If you want that PRINCESS TUTU Blu-ray BOX…I may or may not be able to help you out…However…you must completely submit to my every command…!!! And with that said, let me tell you everything there is to know!!”
And the bottom two pictures are from the Blu-ray BOX (left) and a page from a limited edition japanese DVD PTT booklet (right), courtesy of @nyx-psycho! They both have the same text, which here is my terrible attempt at translating the excerpt, EDITED FROM PREV TRANSLATION:
“The mysterious student who appeared inside the Story at every opportunity, Autor. Known as the one who raised his voice restlessly at the library, his true identity was someone who knew about Goldcrowne Town’s secret. While he was trying to prove his own hypothesis that the town was being controlled by a story, it had led him to the descendant of Drosselmeyer, Fakir. Autor had yearned for the power to turn stories into reality. When he found out that Fakir had that power, Autor was immensely upset. However, perhaps his meeting with Rue was able to change that stubborn mind of his. For Fakir who wants to try to stop the story from becoming a tragedy, Autor will cooperate using his abundant knowledge that he has cultivated until now.”
So yet another reason Wonder Woman really struck a chord with me is in the scene where Hyppolita discovers Antiope training Diana.
Because instead of doubling down on her original stance, she listens to Antiope. She doesn’t want to believe that Diana needs to know how to fight, but she knows Antiope is right; you can see the worry and the doubt in her face even as she says Ares may never return. And then, after wiping away a tear she finally agrees to let Diana continue training.
I keep coming back to that, and being quietly amazed that the writers did that, because so many times in genre movies and books women are shoved in these one dimensional boxes. Hyppolita, as the Matriarch, should have been shrill and controlling, and would certainly not have let herself be persuaded to see reason. We would have had a frustrated Diana continuing to sneak off with Antiope, while we the audience would low key hate Hyppolita for her willful ignorance. Instead, they gave us a complicated, thoughtful, fleshed out human being, who is not only allowed to be a badass warrior queen, but a loving mother who actually gets to show vulnerability and admit when she is wrong.
Modern au Sprace headcanon that Race works weekends in a supermarket and Spot plays the game where you try to freak out the cashier by buying a really weird selection of things, like duct tape, cable ties and High School Musical on Blu Ray and nothing else. At first Race is vaguely terrified but he catches on after a couple of weeks and usually just laughs at whatever Spot comes up with.
But then one week Spot’s had enough of borderline flirting with Race so he puts nothing but a box of extra-large condoms and a bottle of lube on the till and says ‘sorry but I can’t seem to find where you keep your number’
There’s a beat of silence before Race laughs so hard someone has to take over his till whilst he has a break
He gives Spot his number, though
As mentioned in my summary post there was a short talk show at the end featuring all the seiyuus (Kuroko, Kagami, GoM, Nash and Silver) so here are some highlights about that. They said it’ll most likely be in the DVD/Blu-Ray as well so don’t worry we’ll be able to eventually see it. For this I really couldn’t remember everything but I’ll try to remember what I can.
Will be under the cut becuase they reference some spoilers
The pilot episode of Sherlock (dubbed ‘The Gay Pilot’ by many fans) is the initial result at the first go at BBC Sherlock that was proposed. It’s on the bonus features of the Season 1 DVD and Blu-Ray, I know. It was initially named ‘A Touch of Pink’ and it’s called the gay pilot because in it Sherlock and John are like full-blown gay for one another and many people think they had to tone it down a notch for the real deal so that it wasn’t so obvious.
It’s about half an hour shorter than most episodes of the show, doesn’t feature Mycroft at all, has a different actress for Sally, and Anderson looks in the pilot like he does in Series 3. It’s super gay with skinny jeans, bad special effects, bad music, 221B had a different set that looked like a rockstar-themed child bedroom from a Pottery Barn catalog, the cabbie and Sherlock have their ‘good bottle v. bad bottle’ showdown in 221B and Sherlock looks like the Most twink you would not believe.

Totally recycling old gifs here but I think this is one of the few things that even the privileged live audience cannot see clearly. Until I watched the blu-rays, I had no idea either of them cried actual tears on stage.

“You’re late,” Raven announces when Bellamy walks in, barely looking up from where she’s shaking M&M’s into a bowl with a distinct air of mild vengeance. “The last time we did movie night, you gave me all kinds of shit for being, like, two minutes late. And now, you’re late. So, A+ for hypocrisy, I guess, assho—”
“Shut up,” Bellamy says automatically, ducking into the kitchen with a furtive glance down the hallway. A chorus of muffled laughter drifts in from the living room, a small whoop from Jasper ringing clear above the noise. “Is Clarke here?”
Raven tears her gaze away from her snacks to raise a brow at him. “Of course Clarke is here. Why the hell wouldn’t Clarke be here? Why would you come all the way in here just to—” Her eyes widen, and she drops the bag of M&M’s onto the counter, turning to face him. “What the hell did you do?”
“Nothing,” he says defensively, crossing his arms in front of him. “Nothing’s up. Why would you think something’s up?”
Raven’s sharp gaze narrows. “Because you walked in here to find out if Clarke was here instead of just going in there and, I don’t know, using your eyeballs?” She cocks her head, face scrunching in suspicion. “Also, I didn’t ask what was up. I asked what did you do.”
For a brief moment, Bellamy pauses to think about what it would be like to attempt lying to Raven, just to get out of this awkward situation.
It takes him approximately two point four seconds to arrive at the conclusion that it would most likely be far less awkward if he chose not to attempt it at all.
He takes a deep breath, glancing warily over his shoulder. “Okay, fine. If you must know — last night, Clarke and I were hanging out—”
“Big shocker,” Raven deadpans, one brow arched. “Continue.”
“And we were— well, we had a few drinks—”
Raven snorts. “Even bigger shocker. And?”
“And then,” he says, his voice strained. “And then we… kissed.”
Raven frowns. “And … ?”
He reels back a step, unsure how to react to her total lack of surprise. “And… that’s it. We got a little too drunk, and we— we kissed. By accident.”
Raven rolls her eyes. “God. You two are literally the most boring couple that aren’t actually a couple to have ever existed in the history of forever.”
I love how full of energy this choreographic element is. It’s timed right on the beat and shows Minami’s enthusiastic nature. I would argue that no other element is more Minami-like than this one.
This was a bit of animation included in the blu-ray/dvd version. In the original TV broadcast they had him kick, but it wasn’t as dramatic since the camera was further away. I like the new and improved camera work which closes in to capture this angle. The slight motion blur adds impact even to a single still frame by showing the force and speed of Minami’s move.
prompt: can you do a scenario w mark where he buys you an off the shoulder blouse and swimsuit bc it’s summer and you guys and the boys are going to the beach and you’re just kinda like !!! but mark my acne (bc you have acne on your shoulders and some on your back) and he helps comfort you and make you feel good and you decide to go out and the boys don’t care at all and you’re really relieved words: 765 category: blurb, fluff, comedy a/n: this was cute to write but i started eating cherries while i was writing it and all that talk abt acne made me have to stop. anyways, please enjoy!! love you!!
When Mark handed you the gift bag, you were rather nervous to open it. Mark had a habit of buying you strange things that he claimed “reminded him of you”. Once he bought you an oven mitt shaped like a cat. There were other strange ornaments as well: a glow in the dark pillow, a snow globe with a bunny inside of it, and a blu-ray edition of the Wizard of Oz. You genuinely had no idea why he bought you so many random things but you chose not to question it.
That’s why when you pulled out a bathing suit and cover-up, you were pleasantly surprised. “Mark! This is actually cute! Are sure there aren’t any banana earrings hidden somewhere?”
@optomisticgirl prompted me ‘Captain Cobra as roommates under the curse’ and so I tried to deliver. I hope this is okay. Mild vague spoilers for season 7.
He could feel the man’s presence in the doorway of his room but chose to ignore it. When he applied for the room he thought it’d be a sure thing; rooming with a cop meant he wouldn’t be murdered in his sleep and with both of them in demanding jobs, he figured they wouldn’t see much of each other. Just two single males sharing quarters. But if Henry knew just how fussy Killian was in the beginning, he would have taken his chances rooming with the hipster and his seven iguanas downtown.
The silhouette remained in the doorway, gradually moving his arm to rest on his hip. Henry ignored his presence for a few more moments before finally giving in and facing the man that seemed determined to get his attention by glaring.
“You finished the milk.”
“Okay…” Henry continued to stare at the man blankly, confused as to why he was getting the ‘mad mother’ glare from his roommate.
“You finished the milk and didn’t replace it.”
“I’ll grab some more on my way out?” he offered.
“You know the rules.” Killian huffed. “I don’t know how many times I have to remind you-”
“Alright. I’ll go get some now, just… don’t have an aneurysm.”
Killian followed Henry as he trudged into the living area, making his way to the door.
Thank you for all the translations and pointing out you can still buy dvd/blu ray/soundtrack without a third party. I was wondering and apologized if you already answered it but during Yuri on stage event, Nishigori was telling everyone on the birth of triplets. What was the story?
Hello! I’m glad that a few people seem to have found the information about BD/CDs useful, the ruckus in February seemed to spread a few misunderstandings all over the net unfortunately…
Regarding the birth of the triplets, that happened during Popovich’s talk corner! They showed footage of what the seiyuu had chosen as “best scene” for their character, but they showed nothing for Nishigoori. So when they asked Fukuyama (his seiyuu) about it it turns out that his favorite scene was “when he goes to the hospital because his wife is giving birth to the triplets”, and the details of this scene are something that he made up. I don’t remember all of it exactly, but it involved him saving old ladies from being hit by cars, avoiding rampaging horses and stuff like that, all of which he did by performing figure skating jumps (specifically Axel, Lutz and Loop), and that is why he chose to name the triplets like that.
The MC asked Kubo “is this what really happened?” and she was like “I don’t really remember writing anything like that, but… now that you tell me, I have the feeling it might have happened”, lmao. The other seiyuu were like “sensei, don’t let him convince you!!!”.
