idk man it was really funny to me

So you know how in the comics Cisco can’t be properly photographed because of his powers? I can’t stop thinking about how that would play out on the show. Like one day years from now Cisco and Cindy are married and living together and their place is just filled with out of focus pictures of the two of them. And they have Barry and Iris over and Cisco picks up a frame to show off and he’s like “oh man this is probably my favorite picture of us” and Barry is like “um…its literally the same blurry mess as every other photo” and Cynthia comes in like “nah. this ones from our trip to hawaii” and she and Cisco are both smiling down at it like “good times good times” and Barry looks over at Iris all confused and she just shrugs back at him

Episode 12x01 spoilers, watch out for unoriginality since people have probably already done this

@destieldrabblesdaily Shirley this is all your fault (I guess you could say happy really late birthday I don’t know)

Calypso: You’re a pretty smart dude, I guess. I say that I can’t stand you, but you’re a good friend. Your jokes are stupid but they make me laugh most of the time, even when I don’t show it. Somehow, you’re always happy even when you’re tired, and I appreciate that. I really do. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I love you, man.

Leo: Aw.

Leo: My jokes are funny, aren’t they?

sorry for a kind of serious ask, but how do you cope with having adhd in high school? i started my freshman year last september and it's been so stressful for me to deal with bc my adhd is making it hard for me to accomplish what my teachers set as "the requirement" (aka memorizing everything, being able to organize 15 pages worth of study guides) and i was wondering if there were any methods that have helped you deal with school??

hmm…….

  • Ask for help. I’m serious! My pride seriously took a hit the first time I asked for an extension or further clarification, but like. Suck it up. I realized, probably too late, that ADHD puts us on a different track as everyone else. Or, we’re running the same race, but we’ve got all these shitty obstacles in the way. It’s okay to ask for help. We’re not lazy; we just need an extra boost to keep up and stay up with everyone else.
  • I take lots of notes, and always by hand lol. I try to put away anything distracting, because otherwise I will be distracted. So no phones, no laptops, maybe even no music when I’m in class/doing homework at home.
    • People always tell me they love to listen to music while they do homework but imo it sucks?? Like the only subject I can do it in is math lmao. Science/English/etc requires so much upfront thinking?? Meanwhile with math you can kind of backseat drive if you know the material well enough lol
  • Don’t compare yourself against others because again, results are so skewed and shit is so fucked and it’ll just make you feel terrible for doing your best. Stay in thy lane and all that.
  • If you think you need meds, go to your doctor and ask if you can get some. If you can, great! But remember: They only work if you TAKE THEM. It’s easier than you may think to forget to take your meds, and then you’ll be suffering for the rest of the day lmao.
  • Double check with other people? Again, don’t compare your grades or anything, but it doesn’t hurt to go up to someone in your class and just start talking about the day’s lesson? Like it helps you make friends, it’s fun to gripe about a teacher, but you also make sure that you got everything down. Because again, the notes you take are the ones you’ll study from right before a class.
  • If you’re having trouble paying attention in class, maybe buy a fidget toy? They’re super cheap and keep your hands occupied. Most teachers post their notes for the day online, so read through those as well.

Going above and beyond for things honestly tires me out so fast lmao so your fifteen-page notes packets sound like hell. I’m pretty good at memorizing things just by reading them so I can’t really offer you any advice on that aspect… Maybe change up the monotony and turn things into silly rhymes or funny jokes?? Idk man. Ultimately I would just google or ask a professional? Lol.

Have you ever had an adult customer say they want to marry you? This old man asked me if I had a boyfriend, I told him I didn't, and he was like "well you could marry me". It was creepy af. idk maybe he's one of those who thinks he's funny, but he seemed really serious.

Well I’m a dude so I don’t get that as much but also don’t put up with that at all like talk to a manager tell them a guest makes you uncomfortable and just generally don’t trust men and don’t let them leverage you being in a customer service position and subject you to unwanted advances

Is it kinda cool kinda weird how much W2H has stuck with people? Like people keep doing art n stuff or are even now just joining the fanbase, for your cartoon from years ago now! That's so inspiring? Like, what does it feel like?

It’s pretty much exactly what you just described; kinda weird, but cool!  It’s hard to elaborate on exactly what it feels like, because it’s sort of changed over the last couple years.  I remember when it first started gaining traction, in the weeks after I graduated, and just being so excited to wake up every morning and check the tumblr tags to see what new fanart there was.  I remember seeing little milestones: the first fanart of Mephistopheles, the first AMV, the first cosplay attempts.  Maybe someone shared it on another website and I got a little more traffic on the video… it wasn’t even on Youtube yet, it was just on Vimeo, with all my other animation assignments.

People started to realize that I like interacting with fans, so I’d get all kinds of questions.  I’d spend so much time typing, just elaborating on the ideas I had for the story, the characters, or how the universe would work.  What powers do demons have?  What are angels like?  I’d really sit there and think about my responses… I wanted to give people intriguing explanations that would maybe help give them some ideas, for their fan works, you know?  I gave so little with the actual film, but it felt like people were into it because they could sense that maybe there was a larger world planned, a bigger idea behind it.  I certainly wasn’t producing much in the way of a continuation, so that seemed to be a good compromise.

I tried to reblog everything I could, and after awhile there was just SO much… I would sit down once maybe every couple weeks and just go through the tags and try to catch up with it.  I didn’t realize you could queue stuff, so immediately after I’d get a bunch of messages from people telling me how excited they were for my, like… bi-weekly stream of reblogs… just W2H flooding their dash or whatever, haha.  I got so behind, after awhile, and I’m only just recently trying to get back into it and get better about it.

There’s been some weirdness to come of it too, for sure.  There’ve been a couple fans who were just, like… reeeeaaaallly crossing over some personal boundaries.  And I was as respectful as I could’ve possibly been with them, for as long as I could’ve possibly been, but at a point I just had to start ignoring some people.  I try to be helpful, but at a point, it’s like… I’m an animator, I’m not a therapist.  There were really only a couple pointedly inappropriate cases, but there was definitely a point where it felt like I just needed to take a break from it.  Some people kind of take interactivity for granted, and the boundary between creator and fan gets a little harder for them to see.  I don’t feel this is an issue any more, but it’s definitely been a little overwhelming a couple times.  There’s good weirdness and there’s bad weirdness, haha.  It’s generally good weirdness, which I’m thankful for!

There’s so many funny little things too, like… once or twice I’ve seen people who were pretty young when they first watched W2H say things like “Oh man, I can’t believe I liked this, I was so young back then…”  BACK THEN!  Of course it’s “back then” to a 15-year-old who was really into something when they were 12, and now they’re embarrassed by it!  Haha… but to me it’s like… idk, I made it when I was 24-25 and now I’m 28.  Like not only is the concept of “back then” totally different to me, but it’s also really funny to see a younger person looking at something I made, as an adult, and go “oh, I’m an adult and this is childish now”… haha.  It’s been interesting to see the fandom develop over the years, people coming and going… it’s really somethin’!

I could talk about the kinda cool/kinda weird all day long, so I’ll just leave it at this!  Haha.  Thanks for the good question.  Lots of memories, for sure.

Seventeen as inside jokes I have with my friends

S.Coups: “Wear the purple crocs. Do it for Daddy.”

Jeonghan: “I’m your mom now and what I say goes, so be a good noodle and send me the worksheet answers.”

Joshua: “Praise, raise, and bless that ass- but not more than Jesus who we now thank for this meal.”

Jun: “It’s not a real party until you tell hoe stories by the fire.”

Hoshi: “I JUST DANCED FOR SEVEN HOURS STRAIGHT AND THO IT WAS FUN, I’LL BE DAMNED IF I LET MYSELF GET TRICKED OUT OF A WELL DESERVED BREAKFAST BURRITO.”

Wonwoo: “Do you want to borrow the ‘mom on the PTA’ sweater or the ‘hot and rich art thief’ sweater?”

Woozi: “Call me that one more time and I’ll break your ass in two, try me.” *sips strawberry milk angrily*

DK: satanic monster voice: “I’D LIKE THE TWENTY PIECE NUGGETS AND YOUR FIRST BORN, PLEASE.”

Mingyu: “Hot diddly damn, that’s one fine piece of man.”

The8: “I look really cute in that pic, but can people still tell that I’m a bad bitch? That’s the real question here.”

Seungkwan: “Pick me! Choose me! LOVE ME!”

Vernon: “HELL YEAH, I’M STEALING THE TOASTER, YOLO. But should I leave a note? Idk man.”

Dino: *soft quacking noises that keep getting louder until you’re screeching*

I wonder what it says about me that I fully recognize how many bad things Petyr has done and yet I really don’t care? He speaks to something in me, tbh. And he’s damn sexy. And he could betray EVERYONE except for Sansa (I truly don’t believe he knew about Ramsay), and I would still be in his corner.

Idk, I guess there’s something alluring about a man who would do anything for you, who would fuck over anyone but you, who brings out your full potential and makes you his equal, and has so much ambition and drive, and is smart and funny and royally screwed up, and yours.

so i’ve basically, like…. almost completely run out of (interesting) markiplier videos to watch

and i’m only just now starting to watch some crankgameplays videos

oh no i have so much more material now i will never stop watching

Hello! I'm not sure what to call this ask, but if you had to recommend books for each member (like what represents them or reminds you of them) what books would you list? Sorry if this was too vague I just got a sudden craving for book recommendations haha! Thank you so much! I love your writing so much & hogwarts svt makes me cry :")

Thank you for liking our Hogwarts AUs!! Our admins VK and Sea worked very hard on them :-)

(Note: this isn’t going to be a Svt As… or anything like that these are kinda just books that vaguely remind me of the members lol. I’ll give explanations dw)

S.Coups: The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. I haven’t really read any of the books in this series but I kinda feel like Seungcheol seriously could be the child of Zeus or something. He’s such a good leader :’)

Jeonghan: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. This is a mystery novel and it somewhat reminds me of Jeonghan because he can be quite sneaky sometimes. Plus, the entire story is about a bunch of rich people hanging out on an island and Jeonghan always looks like a millions bucks LOL.

Joshua: On the Road by Jack Kerouac. This book is basically just a collection of stories about roadtrips that the author went on with his friends. It reminds of Joshua a bit because it’s about traveling around America and… Josh is from America? Idk I was really reaching with this one, but the story does have an overall theme of individualism that I think Joshua would really enjoy.

Jun: Romance of Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong. This is like one of the most famous works of Chinese literature… so it reminds of Jun because he’s Chinese LOL. I’M SoRRy ok but besides this just being one of those books that everyone just reads since it’s a classic, the stories are actually pretty interesting and teach some moral lessons.

Hoshi: Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. Literally this just reminds me of Soonyoung because his stage name is Japanese. That’s it. But I mean, the book is actually really good it doesn’t have a like a solid plot or anything but it’s a really interesting portrayal of the geisha lifestyle.

Wonwoo: Hamlet by William Shakespeare. I don’t really remember where but I heard somewhere that Wonwoo really likes Shakespeare so I chose this play because it was the last Shakespeare play I read. I would actually really recommend it though the characters especially are all really interesting.

Woozi: Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I pretty much just chose this one for Jihoon because it’s a book that was made into a musical. I also feel like Jihoon would really like this book if he were to read it, it’s one of those books where literally all of your favorite characters die. But besides that it also makes subtle commentary on the French Revolution.

DK: How to Write Good by Ryan Higa. IDK MAN I just chose this for Seokmin because he’s funny and Ryan’s funny… idek. But like besides being funny it’s also a serious memoir about overcoming bullying and dealing with ADHD. I think Seokmin might find it really heartwarming.

Mingyu: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey. This book is about patients in a mental hospital and the conflict between them and the cruel nurse. Mingyu kind of reminds me of the character Chief, because he’s like a gentle giant. This is actually the book I would recommend most on this list because it’s really symbolic and deals a lot with power struggle.

The8: Eleonora by Edgar Allen Poe. This isn’t really a book it’s more like a short story and the plot might not make sense if you’re not familiar with Poe’s own life story. Minghao reminds me of the character Eleonora because she’s this really beautiful and kind-hearted girl who lives in a paradise of flowers and meadows.

Seungkwan: The Princess Bride by William Goldman. This book is literally the most generic romance book in existence but I feel like it would kinda be right up Seungkwan’s alley? Idk. It has a lot of plot twists and some bits of comedy so I feel like he might like it. Plus, I feel like he might connect with the character Westley, or at least want to be like him.

Vernon: Into the Woods by James Lapine. Yet another book I only know because of the musical!!! I actually couldn’t even find the book online so obviously I didn’t read it, but from what I know from the musical, it deals a lot with values and family relationships. I think Vernon might like it as a biracial person because it teaches to balance personal beliefs with those of family.

Dino: The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I haven’t read the book of this either but Viola Davis was SO GOOD in the movie… so yeah. Chan actually reminds me a bit of the character Skeeter because she has a pure heart and she always wants to help others.

Sorry these are all just like classics that everyone has heard of… I hope you at least found something interesting to read! Thanks for requesting -Admin Cali

Also while I’m thinking about it, and it makes me laugh actually, like, I love fanfic portrayals of Danny and all, because they’re all amazing and all and Danny’s this great person, a hero, just a misunderstood 14 year old boy

But then when you actually watch Danny can be such a jerk, like, legit. Like, he’s sassy, he talks back, just generally doesn’t care, even treats his friends like shit sometimes, and just, man i could go on and on because sometimes his behavior really surprises me when I go from fanfic to show.

But then it’s like, he’s 14, still a child, and like, lets be honest, some 14 year old boys really are jerks and yea. Idk, it’s just so funny haha.
