idk I kind of hate and love the anime all at once

The truth is…

  • is a sassy bitch, let’s just accept that. always answering back, they’d even answer back to any god (may it be diplomatically or sarcastic)
  • always give people cheap gifts not because they’re broke but because they think that’s the only standard or gift you deserve
  • has a huge disgust with humanity so they either get delusions of controlling the world or they avoid/limit their human interactions
  • their logic is out of this world: it’s either you get mesmerised and see a new horizon or you end up getting crazy because you can’t get it
  • beneath all their layers, they’re one of the smartest and hardworking people out there… always willing to help you study/work/etc.

  • their trigger word is literally food and all its proper nouns. they’d sell their souls for a ceaseless supply of food and they’d won’t regret
  • literally possessive as fuck, aphrodite lives in their titties cos they dun calm down if they see someone circling around their man/woman.
  • obsessed with getting shit organised y'all don’t even know. they will never move unless a very detailed blue print is in front of them.
  • they will keep hustlin more than a twenty of you combined. they know and prioritise how precious time and money are.
  • when they say they can’t do an errand/plea, dun quickly believe them at all cost or you’ll get a small surprise: they’ll do it after some while.

  • know that archetype of a kind person who’ll obey & follow you to the death but has so many fucking personal motives? yep, that’s gemini.
  • their knowledge and expertise are vastly scary; multilingual people and historians. they aint called GEMinis for nothing, hunty.
  • for them, it’s a dog-eat-dog world. if you don’t match their pace, you’re basically out of their surviving list, whatever list that is.
  • insanely in love and proud making other people swoon over them (oh the oozing warmth of being loved and respected) but says otherwise
  • bad at remembering dates but that dun mean they love you less or you’re not that important to them, just believe in them.

  • they dun talk much but best believe me, whenever they speak it’s either they gon hand you your ass or roast the living shit out of you
  • are all terminally sarcastic bless their souls. they don’t have time for your bullshit, they don’t even have time for their own.
  • they will never side or they will avoid picking a side. they’re the best people to rant cos they will literally get where you coming from.
  • one of the sweetest and loving signs out there but for some reason, they tend to have some problems making real long time friends.
  • always look brooding or even out of reach. that’s cos they’re afraid words/actions won’t come/show they way they really want them too.

  • so demure but once you get close to them/they know they have the upper control, they will fucking nag & bully everything
  • but after the searing primadonna stage, these lions are all just smol precious clumsy beans who must be protected at all cost
  • knows the traditional ways or romancing someone, like the flowers and cupcakes and shy yet formal asking you out for events/dates
  • easily clouded by false/dark ideas and hard to snap them out of it. it takes another brave alpha who can help them out of the cray
  • but don’t be fooled, these lions can be tamed and would be willing to tag along the right people for the rest of their life line.

  • dont slack off in front of them, they will give your ass a whoop back to reality. trust me, they give so much vigour and moral to people.
  • not easily scared of pretty much anything because they always think about the story/reason behind it, for this one, what made it scary?
  • they can get super fucking salty and shady and they aint afraid of being salty and shady, for a good or bad reason whatsoever.
  • they never fail to always see the bigger picture, that also means they’re not afraid to do everything to get to the biggest picture.
  • loves having fun and enjoying life without taking advantage of things or forgetting to be humble and well-grounded.

  • too pure for this world but these people have a skyrocketing tendencies to becoming a yandere (lol they probably already are)
  • their aesthetic perfectionism sickness is practically beyond all earth signs combined: they’ll set fire on anything lower than their standards.
  • too kind and angelic we dun deserve them. we also dun deserve their life sucking flirtatious killer charms. we just dun deserve then all in all
  • these bitches love to meddle with other people’s business tho. either they save the situation or aggravate it, there’s no in between
  • even with all the hate on their kind, libra people just keep their heads up and tryn’a understand and accept other people’s view of them.

  • for the vagillionth time, y'all have to remember that these “””devil children””” are all just 4D weird bastards who easily space out.
  • the sexy airheads we all get from anime. but dun cross them & their fambam, they won’t think twice about apathetically cutting you.
  • everyone’s fairy godmother/father cos if they love you & they see you deserving, they will lavish &treat you so great. aint lying, dis the truth
  • willing to learn from others but is obsessed with “i am the most mature one so my wisdom is the greatest and the only effective one”
  • so many layers, like they’re literally never-ending. but after plucking all these layers out, you’ll see a fragile marshmallow baby inside

  • they need like a dozen of hobbies as outlets for their energy. if they don’t get the energy out, they become a host of a time bomb.
  • insatiably absorbs all information of all kinds like a baby on his mom’s chest or a tic sucking out blood from a fresh catch: you choose
  • no one really knows if they’re showing genuine reaction/emotion cos you don’t know if they’re forcing it or not or they dun even know too
  • is the jack of all trades cos they have so many talents but can’t focus and drill hard on one cos they jump from different talent to another
  • may come arrogant but always they always want everyone to be happy and enjoying the time, probably more than how libra wants it.

  • always late on almost everything. insomniac children of the night, so no matter how dire the situation is, they’ll always be late. deal with it.
  • condescending as fuck cos they know they can do pretty much anything please beware they are vicious machiavellians
  • obsessed with segregating people in their lives; they don’t want their friends to socialise with their family, this group with that group, etc.
  • avoids and gets easily tired with human interaction, but is magically brilliant with human interaction. their magic? idek ask them.
  • after you pass their scrutinising sifting of people in their lives, you’ll just see a funny, dependent, happy-go-lucky, perverted side of them

  • also don’t like taking sides, will never jump onto anything without all the cards are seeable, yet also not afraid to speak up in the end.
  • obsessed and deranged with their fanaticism of any horror shit idk how they can carry on with a fine stomach after all that scary jazz
  • can never be controlled, they might seem controllable or easy to manoeuvre but spare your ass and don’t be fooled by this sign
  • disappears and reappears at their own will, and doesn’t care about the consequences of their absence, they literally don’t care.
  • in the end of the day, aquarius has no fucks to give any of the other signs. they don’t ask for a lot and they just wanna be left alone.

  • are quiet little shits who looks way more gorgeous when they’re mad cos they just turn fiendish but still in a cute way, like wtf how???
  • needs a fuck ton of guidance from older or more mature people cos they tend either the laziest, silliest, or most annoying things ever.
  • how fucking annoying it is whenever they pull out the victim card like dude shove that thing back where it belongs or so I will.
  • are actually sensible people, kinda shocking for some but it’s the truth cos these people stay in tune with their emotions, they dun run away
  • break them to pieces and you’ll see a child needing to be loved and wanting to know what are the things that they can improve and learn
1-Minute Anime Reviews

This season is fantasy, fantasy…and more FANTASY~!

So what did I pick up this season? A whole lot of strange, mixed things.

Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis (S1) & Virgin Soul (S2)

Genre: action, fantasy
Summary:  A bunch of angels and demons who try to wake up the destructive Dragon Bahamut, versus a bunch of angels and demons who try to stop said dragon from waking up…and in between them, a couple of eccentric bounty-hunters caught up in the middle of the mess. Gets even messier in S2 with a girl who turns into a dragon whenever she sees a hot guy. Fun times.
Story: B/B+
Characters: B+
Overall: B+
Commentary: By the same studio that animated Yuri on Ice, except with far better budget/management because the animation for this show is generally pretty easy on the eyes from beginning to end. First season is over, and second season is currently airing; and I gotta say, while the series doesn’t bring much new to the table in terms of plot or premise, it is insanely fun and well-balanced. This is not only a show that’s done great, it’s also the kind of show that can be recommended to just about anyone. Based on a mobile game, but is surprisingly a really good standalone adaptation. Pure entertainment.

Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou

Genre: fantasy
Summary: A hermit loli-witch leaves her cave to find her stolen spell book and runs into a witch-hating tiger-man who wants to become human. They form a contract in which he protects her until she retrieves her grimoire, and in return she’ll transform him into a human once the goal is fulfilled.
Story: C
Characters: C+
Overall: C+
Commentary: I’m not really sure why they made an anime of this, it’s not only predictable, but also really mediocre in terms of…well, everything? But I guess the furry is kinda cute. There’s often a lapse in logic but at the very least, it’s a moderate show, so you won’t pop a vein watching it.

Rokudenashi Mahou Koushi to Akashic Records

Genre: action, fantasy
Summary: A subpar spell caster / lazy mooch is forced to teach at a Magic Academy on his master’s order. Not only does he lose to his student in a spell fight, he’s flippant, doesn’t take bets seriously, and begrudges having to work. However, he may secretly be more talented than he lets on…
Story: C+
Characters: C+
Overall: C+/B-
Commentary: There were one or two entertaining moments, I have to admit; after all, the protagonist is a sly, underhanded charlatan… but the best way to describe this series is that…it feels distinctly like it belongs in the late 90s, early 2000s; a very generic anime from that particular era. That’s the kind of feeling it gives off. It’s not amazing, just barely passable. This is definitely more of a particular crowd’s kind of show (what with the sexy garters on lolis—).

KADO: The Wrong Right Answer

Genre: sci-fi, drama
Summary: A formless being from another dimension coined the Anisotrophic descends upon earth, dons on the skin of man, and offers to mankind the keys for transcending their mortal limitations. The world is at a crossroad. To rapidly advance or not? May the discussions begin.
Story: 🔥  <-fire I ate.
Characters: 🔥 🔥  <-fire burning my stomach lining.
Overall: 🔥 🔥 🔥  <-still on fire and internally screaming.
Commentary: You might have already seen my earlier review on KADO, but I essentially love/hate this show because I was led to think it was going to be a show about clever negotiations but ultimately ended with a fist fight. And while I still might recommend it just for all its obscurities, because it IS different, and could be a source of inspiration to some—I suggest viewers watch it with, not a grain, but two fist-fulls of salt and be prepared to get frustrated at some point.

Oshitsu Kyoushi Haine

Genre: slice of life
Summary: In a fictional, Victorian-esque setting, one tiny but supremely talented tutor is summoned to the royal palace in order to groom and raise four troublesome princes into proper candidates for the throne.
Story: C+
Characters: C+
Overall: C+/B-
Commentary: Not a very creative or inspiring series, but generally relaxing, mildly entertaining and appealing enough to be a decent time-passer. Admittedly, it’s more of a visual guilt pleasure geared towards a female audience than much else. I’m kind of amused though, that super newbie seiyuus (minus Aoi) are the main cast and the more famous ones play support XD…

Genre: card games, shounen
Summary: An aloof guy (with outrageous hair) who tries hard not to stand out in a crowd in real life (are you serious?), while in virtual reality he is secretly a powerful duelist known as Playmaker. Playmaker logs onto the duel server to fight against a renegade group of duelist called the Knights of Hanoi, who are also after him because he harbors the snarky A.I. Ignis in his duel disk. Chasing after them seem to be one of Yusaku’s 3 goals…much like his 3 reasoning for everything.
Story: IDK what I even say about this, it’s typical young-shounen?
Characters: ’_’) the usual archetypes thus far with not much variation.
Commentary: I actually had to drop the show quite recently because it was just going nowhere fast (yell at me if it magically somehow becomes amazing later on) — Anyway, I gave it a good shot. I really, really liked Ignis (the only deuteragonist I actually do like? Bonus points for being voiced by Sakurai), but pretty much disliked everything else. Although to be honest, I had already disliked this show from the early concepts. It was the first time I saw the previews/trailer for a new YGO series and knew I wouldn’t like it from the get-go. Yusaku is exactly the sort of typical protagonist I’d find in an Isekai novel (most of whom, get on my nerves); and even then by comparison, he’s one of the least interesting and more awkward of the bunch. Moreover, I have watched, very literally…every single Shounen anime within the last couple of decades and this show is among the most cringy of its kind (kimoi is the word that’s in my head). I’ve never dropped a TCG show nearly as fast as this one. If I were to keep watching, it might just barely be for the TCG. (I also can’t stop chortling at the name Knights of Hanoi, I keep picturing Vietnam…And what’s with all these chuunibyou, goosebump-inducing names…)

The only good thing to come out of this is now my friend who likes Vrains can’t poke fun at me for liking certain kids shows.

Uchouten Kazoku S2

Genre: slice of (tanuki) life, fantasy
Overall: A-
Commentary: This series is already moderately famous so I won’t get too deep into it, but Uchouten 2 is just as lovely as Uchouten 1. This show is hands down my absolute favourite of the season. It’s strange, wacky, exciting, and very close to home sometimes. The themes are solid, the narrative strong, and the characters absolutely charming. It’s an overall magical account about family and personal nature, and I highly recommend it.

Genre: action, fantasy, drama
Summary: What happens when your novel creations come to life and try to confront you, the creator, as well as all of humanity? Are we also a creation of someone else? Things get a little strange and analytical in RE:Creators.
Story: B+
Characters: B+
Overall: B+ (thus far)
Commentary: This is an on-going show. I’m not sure how it’s going to play out in the end but so far I’m enjoying it quite a bit. They sometimes run a little too long on expositions; which to me is totally fine, because it’s the good kind of exposition—like a second wave of Log Horizon.
I came into this show expecting it to be some sort of terrible adaptation of a light novel (because the title name, seriously) but pleasantly wound up with not only an anime-original (with concepts from the creator of Black Lagoon!), but also a very serious tone for such a whimsical premise. The characters have notable depth to them and engage in a fair amount of discussions with substance…they express the kind of opinions that are so well-aligned with their nature, it gives off the sensation that they’ve broken away from being mere puppets of the script. For me, it’s always deeply interesting when characters can express themselves and act/react accordingly with an agreeable sense of logic (—in other words…my god, another rare show where characters can actually think for themselves—and this was not meant to be ironic).

ngl it sorta peeves me off the way the Soowon/Yona/Hak relationship is sometimes marketed like a love-triangle situation where the conflict is “who will Yona choose?!” instead of what it is… an incredibly close and broken 3-way friendship with some love-triangle aspects that exist after chapter 1 mostly in the eyes of our unreliable-narrator-male-lead. Like I remember funimation or whomever putting out a poll shortly after the anime wrapped up about who Yona should end up with, as if that was the conflict in their relationship. And at the risk of sounding pretentious, I feel like that’s a bit of a degradation of the complexity?

RFA + Minor 4 HEADcanons

(that absolutely no one asked for but you’re all getting anyway)

-he grows his hair out after leaving Mint Eye and then redyes it back to it’s original red color
-but he kind of,,,,doesn’t trust anyone to cut it bc that involves scissors really close to his face
-Vanderwood convinced him to let him cut it but Vandy ended up cutting off too much, which freaked Saeran out
-So Saeran  allows it to grow a few more inches so it’s halfway to his shoulders and finds that he really likes the length. He can pull it into a ponytail (which is handy) and it’s different from Saeyoung’s hair
-he usually ties it into a low ponytail, but if it’s particularly bothering him he’ll put it higher up
-Saeran’s hair is thinner than Saeyoung’s, where Saeyoung’s is particularly unruly, Saeran’s is thin and doesn’t tangle easily
-his hair is soft af, play with it and honestly he’ll melt

-he sheds like an absolute madman???
-like, if Jaehee thinks Elizabeth 3rd is bad, one time he sat down on her couch and she found at least fifteen hairs afterwards
-honestly at this point, it’s pretty normal to pick his hairs off of everything and anything
-in your food? Somehow all over your clothing? yes
-he has a big spot of discoloration on the right side of his head that’s grey-ish brown canon, check his after end! that he either keeps hidden or sometimes dyed if he has to. It’s super noticeable when he slicks his hair back so he doesn’t do it often. Plus he just,,,hates the way his hair feels when it’s slicked back. It’s greasy and kind of stringy?? it looks like he hasn’t showered and honestly he hates it
-his hair also grows super slow so he doesn’t get haircuts very often
-the whole thing with his hair sticking up everywhere started when he was a kid. He always had this spot at the back of his head that stuck out no matter what he did, so he just started styling his hair the way he does now.
-he gets hella bedhead in the morning because of this, and V also loves to tease him about the pieces that stick up

-his hair is naturally brown but this babe dyes it because he thinks it’ll help him get a girlfriend
-he usually bleaches it every month. His parents were super against it because his natural hair color was perfectly fine in their eyes, but they compromised and said that as long as Yoosung used proper bleach and took care of it, they’d pay for it.
-his hair grows at a normal rate, if not a bit slower
-its not super soft and he has a lot of split ends, but it always looks nice!
-he spends way too much time on it in the mornings though, his mother’s friend is a hairdresser and she taught him how to train his hair by combing strands over to one side and then back again every time he gets out of the shower. It’s a technique he swears by, and he always uses it whenever he can’t get his hair to flick out
-if he just leaves it as usual though, it’s pretty straight!

-he once found a split end and he cried for 15 minutes while simultaneously rushing to the nearest beauty supply shop and then bought out said beauty shop
-he uses hair masks, high end shampoo and conditioner, anything that guarantees his hair’s maximum hair potential
-his mother used to forcibly cut it when he was a child, and it used to make her mad when it’d grow back within a week kinda like aunt petunia with harry potter
-other than that, this boy’s hair feels like silk and it’s so aggravating. The color is completely solid all the way through, but it never looks flat. It’s always perfectly shiny and ugh, just ugh.
-his ponytail is surprisingly thin but it’s a bit too thick to be considered a rat tail, plus he gets kind of upset when people call it a rat tail for some reason, no one knows why

-curls for daysss
-when he gets out of the shower his hair is a straight dark brown but gets super curly and bright red when it’s dried
-he usually has to brush most of the curls out because otherwise his hair naturally gets tangled easily
-his hair is softer than Zen’s! 2nd softest hair in the RFA. Where Zen’s is silky smooth, Saeyoung’s hair is baby soft

-Softest hair in the RFA confirmed
-she takes really good care of it, but it’s pretty prone to being oily!
-when it’s grown out it is h eckin gorgeous, not that it isn’t anyway
-she has the kind of hair that makes you want to wear it as a sweater okay maybe not that far but it’s as soft as a cloud
-she uses just regular drugstore shampoo but it always smells like either honey or cherry blossoms, depending on which shampoo she choses to use
-she also like,,,,never uses conditioner that coordinates with her shampoo

-it’s layered because he’s a terrible hair stylist and accidentally ended up cutting chunks off of his hair and looked ridiculous
-so he had to go in and have it fixed, which led him to the hair style he has now
-it used to be completely straight and always with a ponytail & bangs (kinda like Takeda Shingen’s from SLBP but with straighter bangs whoops)
-but he loves his new hair! Some of the pieces gets on his nerves because they never go into a ponytail so he always carries around a pack of bobby pins
-bobby pins are his savior ok
-when Saeran gets angry at him, he calls Vanderwood’s hair a mullet
-it’s neither soft nor coarse, but somewhere in between. He doesn’t care what shampoo he uses, sometimes he just uses plain bar soap whenever he runs out & can’t get more right away. ….um, as long as it gets the job done?

-her hair is smooth as h eck and super wavy
-it’s gorgeous honestly
-she uses vv high quality shampoo and conditioner and it pays off
-her hair always smells like cherry blossoms even if it’s been a day since she’s washed it what is her trick
-it almost never gets oily unless it’s been two or three days since it’s been washed. Not that she ever goes that long without washing it though!

-listen,,,,,I know these characters are in anime style,,,,,but there is no way V’s hair is naturally blue
-he probably dyed it for attention but then decided he really liked it and kinda kept up with it
-he gets it professionally done every three months, his hair grows suuuper slowly, but once he goes completely blind he probably has it dyed back to his original color (I think it’s an identical color to Jaehee’s but idk lmao)
-his hair is pretty thick and unruly, he pretty much just drags a comb through it and heads out for the day

  • and you kissed him sweetly, and ghfjdklsi you could feel how his smile was slowly forming in the middle of your kiss
  • but you had to separate after a few seconds because you suddenly got shy lmao
  • he started to laugh at your cuteness while looking how you were covering your face with your hands
  • “don’t get shy, babe, this is nothing yet”
  • “i really hate you right now”
  • he giggled and then hugged you so hard that you ended laying in the grass with him over you
  • both of you were smiling to each other, you had your finger running through his hair and he was simply looking at you with nothing but love in his eyes
  • he gets even closer to your face, and pecks your lips a few times, each kiss getting longer and more pasionate everytime
  • and it was making you feel a million of butterflies in your stomach
  • his lips felt so warm and soft and his smile, that never really dissapeared, was in between, making everything even more sweet that already was
  • “わたしは、あなたを愛しています (i love you)”
  • he said between pecks
  • “i love you too, yuta”

anonymous asked:

Why do you ship rivamika that much? I don't wanna hate I'm curious, personally I just don't get that ship

ALRIGHT. First of all, thank you for the kind, respectful anon! I love you already, you are the real MVP.

I don’t write meta because my brain doesn’t really work that way, I’m too spastic and get too excited, but I am going to try and lay out why I love RivaMika as much as I do…It’s not going to work that well, but I’m gonna try. This is going to end up being what mom facebook would call a “dear diary” post, in which the OP gives way more information than anyone asked for or wanted, but I just can’t help myself.

hi~ i read your about page where you said you might write up your reasons for not liking some ft ships like the whole debate with fraxus/miraxus & chendy/rowen but i couldn't find anything on it on your blog so i wondered what were your thoughts on that? i know there's fandom arguments about homophobia and crackshipping there too. i’m a multishipper but i really like your anti posts for naruto so i thought if you had any ft ones then they might be as good!

Thank you! I’m really glad you that like my Naruto posts. They’re pretty controversial, so nice comments are always appreciated! 😅 Dude, I haven’t updated by ‘about’ page in months, so doing that write-up completely passed my mind… Thanks for being interested though! I guess I’ll spill:

Right, this might be quite controversial, so remember that any opinions expressed are just personal preferences/reasons, right? ⚠️

Like I said on my page, “I have a ‘manga > anime’ complex thanks to Studio Pierrot, so I only read FT. I wanted to avoid filler brainwashing, bias and only know of canon with this series, after the mess with Naruto…” Therefore, I only really ship that which I believe is substantially depicted/suggested in canon, and kind of have a bit of a pet peeve for anything outside of that.
[ #1 justification disclaimer! ]

( 1 ) Mir/axus [ & Fraxus ]

So I was genuinely surprised that Mir/axus was even a thing when I started searching the fandom’s tag, once I’d caught up. I don’t know if they’ve been implied in filler, but they were non-existent as a romantic pair in the manga. Honestly, they hardly had any on-panel interaction… Like, the only evidence that came to mind for “logical” reasoning behind them was chapter 380’s cover art. (Maybe 329’s, at a push.) I even tried to find some supposed “moments” under their Wikia page, but that listed was merely scarce interaction with no romantic subtext; each synopsis was pretty much grasping for straws.

Here’s the thing – you mentioned the fandom discourse of “homophobic” accusations, right? Now, the I too hate when shippers (in any fandom) cry that, simply because others don’t ship a queer pairing. Like, c’mon. But, in this case (and Wendy’s), I must admit that I do find it somewhat relevant… Idk if this ship’s popularity (and, more so, acceptance alongside the actual semi-canon pairs) is because most have been influenced by external material or if it’s just because there’s no other member of the opposite sex that they’re paired with, but Fraxus was actually suggested in canon; emphatically from Freed’s point of view! Even on Laxus’ side, numerous chapters have moments that – here’s the thing – anyone would undeniably accept if either Freed or Laxus were female*.

[ My volumes are enclosed in my bookcase, but luckily I have 49 – 57 (Avatar – Alvarez) on-hand beside my bed, so I skimmed through to find (max.) five pages to evidence Laxus’ P.O.V. ‘cause this post will already be long enough. ]

Chapter 416: “At this rate, I won’t be able to protect what’s important to me.”

It’s also worth noting that the official tankōbon/volume translation of this reads: “I’m not strong enough to protect the people I love yet.”

Chapter 460.

Chapter 462: “But that ain’t important now. All I’ve got on my mind… Is bringing the pain to the bastard who took out Freed and the others.”

Chapter 472: “So you’re the one who did a number on Freed and the others?”

Chapter 473: “Thanks a lot, Freed… There’s no wizard that could break your spells…”

*That’s the key consideration – that if you were to replace either’s gender for that of the opposite sex, it changes how they’re perceived. These panels, for example, are dismissed by those who oppose Fraxus, but they would be regarded as “ship moments” and a validation of Laxus’ affection if you were to replace Freed’s name in the dialogue and/or presence in the panels with a female (Mira)!

That’s why I can kind of understand these claims, ’cause the existence and general fandom acceptance of these ships is very heteronormative in that respect (i.e. ignoring present queer pairings for heterosexual ‘crack-ships’) which makes it kind of discriminatory; reminiscent of homophobia perhaps. [ Although, I agree that term is a little extreme, as it doesn’t seem intentionally prejudiced. ] Whilst Freed is emphatically portrayed as queer, Laxus’ sexuality is a little more implicit, yet he is assumed straight by default… It’s ironic/hypocritical because the majority of ships are founded upon one character’s feelings, whilst neither Mira nor Laxus have shown said romantic interest in each-other.

( 2 ) Ro/Wen [ & Chendy ]

Again, I hate Ro/Wen due to a similar reasoning. Finding out that they even existed as a ship was baffling, tbh! I mean, at least Miraxus had the cover as some rationale, but Ro/Wen is based solely on them being the same age… Talk about heteronormative? Also, technically, that’s an incorrect claim, due to the seven year time-skip in which she remained frozen. Like, she’s actually the same age as Sting & Rogue. But you don’t find her forced with them. Why, because they’re older and that’s frowned upon? You know, despite the same premise applying to Ro/Wen; since Romeo was half Wendy’s age when she was introduced (6 & 12).

The ship can’t even be supported with evidence, since they had no significant canon interaction until the Alvarez Arc. Their only other contact was in an omake. Yet their age difference is evident in both; dismissing any reach at romantic subtext. In the omake, Romeo refers to Wendy as “nee[-chan]”. Similarly, she is presented comforting him like a child, with him looking up to her as that same sister figure in their Alvarez panels. I have seen some of these shippers disregard Chendy as being “platonic”, when Romeo and Wendy’s dynamic is actually – canonically and strictly – such.

Chendy, however, do have a substantial, visibly & literally present, mutual bond. They have extensive, plentiful interaction, as well as an actually present romantic subtext… I know that it may be difficult for (I guess) anyone outside of the LGBT+ or a truly ‘open’ community to understand, due to our heteronormative society – as Chendy are often disregarded as “just friends” (🙄) – but many of their moments transcend platonic affection and bear intense likeness to the other romantic pairs’ depictions. For example, they are also featured alongside the semi-canon couples in art-work, like Mashima’s couple sketches on Twitter.

Not to mention that friendship is the foundation of any healthy, romantic relationship! Of course they’re going to be best friends before engaging in such, particularly in the case of same-sex pairs. Yet no-one uses this dialogue (of labelling each-other as “friends”) against NaLu, despite them stating the other as that same description on numerous occasions. But despite that mentioned above, Chendy are still dismissed. Again, if either were the male, then it would be a different situation… I mean, since people ship characters based solely on covers and all – chapter 421’s cover (among others)?

Obviously there’s nothing wrong with crack-shipping! And, no, not liking a queer pair [more than a straight one] doesn’t make you “homophobic”. But – in the case of Fraxus 🆚 Mir/axus & Chendy 🆚 Ro/Wen – I think that there is something kind of messed up with arrogantly defying a character’s canon depicted/suggested sexuality and/or romantic interest(s). There is something somewhat discriminatory about disregarding their other prevalent, significant and actually developed bonds, to the extent that someone’s heteronormativity is so severe that they substitute a same-sex character for an irrelevant one of the opposite sex, who does not even have decent interaction with the character in question; fabricated entirely from the ridiculous, inaccurate [R/W] rationale of them being “the same age” or merely sharing a chapter cover.

That sounds much harsher than I intended, I’m so sorry! Btw, I don’t blame shippers – everyone is (obviously) allowed to ship what they want! What’s stated above is simply why I’m against Mir/axus and Ro/Wen, especially as an avid supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and a bisexual myself.

[ I’ve updated by ‘about’ page now too, btw! ]

Fall 2016 Anime: Last impressions

What, me? Posting something that’s not Yuri on Ice? Did I wander to the wrong blog? Oh right, this isn’t supposed to be a Yuri on Ice blog to begin with, oops.

After a very shitty semester and my Mom’s and sister’s vacations messing up with my anime watching schedule (plus a shitty vicious cycle of not watching anime to work on thesis-not working on thesis because stressed from not watching anime), I finally finished catching up with Fall anime, barely on time before Winter begins (I know some winter shows have premiered already, but none that interest me. Rakugo’s on today though!!!!). So here’s a rundown of the best and worst of this most fruitful Fall season. If there’s a gif it means I forgot to take a screenshot of the last episode whoops.  (worst to best my dears, you know how this goes)

Shuumatsu no Izetta: I really tried. Even after the stupidity of episode 4 put me to sleep, I tried to give it a second shot, but episode 6 was literally everything that is wrong with modern anime and ugh, please release me from this hell. Of course having a strong female character was too progressive for a yuribait show, you just had to make her have insecurities about her normal-sized boobs (vs everyone’s ginormous) and dedicate 25 entire minutes to show that she’s actually a real girly girl that likes pie. Ugh. And I didn’t even mention how stupid the “Izetta’s secret might be revealed” plot element was. That was some garbage writing if I ever saw one. Most of what I’ve read after dropping it seems to indicate it was the best choice

3gatsu no Lion: I’m confused with this show. The production values make it very attractive to watch. There is a harsh and interesting story and character drama happening. Episode 5 was particularly great, and some of the storytelling devices are implemented brilliantly. But for some reason I can’t bring myself to care? I don’t know. The more I see the three sisters, the more the scenes with them bore me to death. I found the idea of watching episode 6 terribly not-compelling so I decided to put it in the back burner and wait out. Maybe I’m just incompatible with this mangaka (I really hate HachiKuro). People seem to be loving it, so maybe I’ll give it another shot at a later date.

Touken Ranbu Hanamaru: This was my biggest disappointment of the season because episode 2 was so good. It tickled all my rekijo bones in the best way. But then it just… nothing ever happened? Also the way all the sword boys gush about how much they love the (invisible but obviously audience-proxy) “Master” is way too transparent and took me out of whatever little interesting character dynamics might be going on. What could be an interesting theme –the swordboys having regrets about not protecting their past owners and being tempted to fix it- is wasted in a “it’s okay, I have a new master now!”. Even with my fujoshi goggles there was little of interest because the boys were so infatuated with the Master I couldn’t even enjoy any of it. Held out until episode 9 and just couldn’t be arsed for more. Maybe the more serious ufotable show will be better?

Nanbaka: I don’t know what went wrong with this mangaka that suddenly decided to turn a perfectly fine comedy into a Very Serious battle shonen thing? Especially mid-arc? The New Year tournament had revitalized the show, I was having a load of fun with it, but then it suddenly turned all dark and serious and nonsensical? The only thing tempting me to go back for the last three episodes is Hajime, he’s a champ. But yeah, the shift in tone was too drastic and kind of spoiled the show for me because I was loving it exactly as it was. It didn’t need the drama. Some people seem to be liking the new direction but ehhhh… idk. If I have time.

The worst:

17. DAYS: It was hard to choose which of these two was gonna be the poop prize winner, but in the end, given how much I struggled to even sit through the last couple of episodes, I guess DAYS takes it. Honestly seldom have I seen a show so infuriatingly ruined by “protagonist no jutsu” i.e. things just happen because a dude is the main character. Kimishita scored three completely bananas goals in that game (bless his heart I love him), but Tsukushi gets all the credit for earning the free kicks and second balls and shit and he’s the one credited as the “hero” of the game. It’s amazing that such an insufferable protagonist is part of a show with an otherwise endearing supporting cast. Now will my love for Mizuki and Kimishita be enough to pull me into watching season 2? Tune in some time next year to find out! (spoiler: most likely no unless it comes out on a boring season)

16.Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku: I called this show the winner of the “Showed its cards too early Award” since episode one, but boy I didn’t expect it to continue doing the exact same thing over and over through its entire run. At some point it became a very unsurprising formula of showing a character’s tragic backstory at the start of the episode to fabricate last minute sympathy to make up for lack of proper characterization, only to have the character in question murdered in increasingly distasteful ways. I always knew best girl Top Speed wasn’t long for this world, but the way they handled it was gratuitously vicious. Couple that with a barrage of villains, none of which were remotely compelling or had any interesting motivations, a poor man’s Kyubey, a protagonist that is even more infuriatingly passive than Madoka herself (at least in this aspect, MahoIku surpassed its intellectual mother), and a resolution that basically says this whole thing served no purpose whatsoever and you’re left with just a feeling that you could’ve done something better with your life. I never expected grandeur from this show, and in fact I guess it turned out to be about as bad as I could’ve expected it to be, but that doesn’t really erase how terribly dissatisfying the ending was. I guess that’s one weakness that Dark Magical Girl shows have yet to overcome.

Normally a “the meh” section would be here, but I dropped all those shows for lack of entertainment and time, so we’re skipping straight to

The okay

(I liked these shows but none of them changed my life and I was severely tempted to drop them at least once)

15.Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans: I have rather complicated feelings about this show. The writing has improved immensely since the second half of S1 and they’re doing a fascinating job at working the different shades of moral grey. Mika’s sick relationship with Orga continues to keep me on my toes. But with only 12 episodes left I’m still not entirely sure of where this is going, and most importantly, it stinks of tragedy and there seems to be a general lack of joy in both characters and story, so I always go to watch it with little enthusiasm and maybe a bit of anxiety.

14.Girlish Number:  This one turned out way better than I expected it to be, although perhaps for different reasons than most. Usually when I hatewatch something, it’s for the pleasant schadenfreude I get out of seeing something continue to fail miserably week after week (see Sailor Moon Crystal or Mayoiga). In that sense, I wasn’t hatewatching Girlish Number but boy was I getting schadenfreude about seeing the exploitative producer go on a downwards spiral and the shitty LN anime adaptation turning up a complete failure. But because this was the source of my enjoyment, the finale was, to say the least, dissatisfying. If the show had ended with Chitose getting a proper comeuppance and landing different jobs (in non-shitty-LN-anime) that forced her to climb her way back up instead of trying to have  sudden fabricated popularity, while Kuzu got his ass fired that would’ve been cool. But the “Oh I ended loving this production” ending was ehhhh. It felt the show ended going milquetoast on its criticism of the industry. Criticized the seiyuu idol units but still had the seiyuu sing the OP and ED criticized the cheap swimsuit fanservice but still had a swimsuit episode etc. I mean they went really damn hard on the industry, so it was weird and a little frustrating that they didn’t go the whole way, given how they’d already guaranteed to lose the buying audience anyway.

13.Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari: It’s hard to explain what went wrong with this one because, if you asked me, I’d say I really liked it overall. But the key problem is perhaps that I adored the first two episodes so deeply and then somewhere in the middle it kind of floundered and went in a different direction than what I expected –which isn’t inherently bad, mind you- but it’s weird that there’s so little actual udon in the show when they’re in the title. The finale was good in idea, but I feel it failed to make the emotional landing, and that they capped it off to be a sort of commercial for Kagawa prefecture was just… weird. So uh, it was a good show but definitely didn’t live up to the promise of the first few episodes.

12.Uta no Prince-sama Legend Star:  For me, this and Magikyun are basically tied, because, although I have more love for Utapri due to how long it’s been around and how I’ve grown so endeared to the characters, I can’t say Magikyun did anything worse or better. But anyway Utapri! Revolutions had me losing a little of my love for the franchise, but Legend Star was really great! The music improved drastically and we got some truly neat character arcs. The Otoya arc was surprisingly good. It’s sad to see they’ve fully committed to shitty CG dancing though ): But oh well, the Quartet Night song was great and there’s even more anime coming because Broccoli does like printing money after all. Almost forgot to mention it, but Haruka is hardly relevant this season and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not, but I’ll also say I didn’t particularly miss her.

11.Magic-Kyun Renaissance:  I’ll say this about Magikyun, it was less dumb than I expected given the title. I mean it was super dumb, but it could’ve been dumber. It was also a lot of fun, had neat visuals and surprisingly good songs? I feel it could’ve ended in episode 9 because it doesn’t feel like the new resolution in ep 13 actually added anything of note to the story or the characters, but it was okay. It’s harmless dumb entertainment and that’s what I wanted it to be.

The good

10.Flip Flappers:  It’s always great to see passion projects like this, even if they don’t always stick the landing. In the gayest anime season, FliFla gave us a lesbian visual spectacle that was among the best animated experiences of the year. While narratively it blooped a little in the last third and became a weird Eva-ish nightmare, it sorta kinda worked out at the end, although definitely didn’t live up to its initial dreamy potential. And it was very lesbian, although I feel it was lowkey creepy lesbian since Papika is somehow an adult??? I think they explained some things too much and left others glaringly unexplained. Some weird things happened in that production that hindered its potential, but it’s still a fascinating series to look at, even if you don’t dig the character dynamics (which are adorable but in the end didn’t do much for me). Could’ve done with 100% less creepy robot though

9.Classicaloid: I’d call Classicaloid the Bungo Stray Dogs (season 1) of the Fall because while it wasn’t what I wanted or expected, it managed to grow on me. I was on the edge of dropping it because the wacky one-note humor wasn’t working for me at all, but with the introduction of Schubert and the slow drip of answers to our questions of what is even happening in this show, it became notoriously more fun. Definitely the strongest moments of the show are when we get to see the Classicaloids having flash backs to their past lives (the episode about Beethoven and his loss of hearing was particularly brilliant) and while I still mostly have no idea of where this is going at all, they’ve definitely got me hooked wanting to know what Bach is even planning.

8.Drifters: This might have gone even higher up the ranks if not for all the homophobic and sexist jokes ugh. But I guess it’s a testament to how entertaining it is that I watched it all through and would still watch the upcoming second season (or maybe it’s a testament to what a good job it did in tickling my very specific rekijo bone). The characterization of Nobunaga in particular is absolutely brilliant, and the little nuances in the interactions between characters of different time periods are fantastic. Cool action sequences and interesting strategizing and politicking. But I reckon this isn’t something that’s gonna sway the non-history buffs. Also ew the sexist and homophobic jokes. The show has great comedy without that, please don’t be so gross Hirano.

7.ALL OUT!!: It had a bit of a slow start, but once it started picking up with the practice matches and developing the team, it’s just gotten exponentially better! Especially since the addition of the coach. DAYS could learn a thing or two about how it isn’t necessary to make the inexperienced main character the sudden “hero” of the team to make for a compelling sports story. That said I still do not understand about 75% of how rugby works at all, but the endearing cast and the passionate games make up for it. Also the horrible hair. Definitely looking forward to where these kids will go in the second half.

The excellent

6.Fune wo Amu: This is a case of me one-sidedly having expectations that a show can’t live up to and thus I don’t enjoy it as much as I could. Which is no fault of the show itself and it is in fact one of the best anime of the season (arguably the year). It does fail on the entertainment department, but compensates with beautiful craftsmanship and a wonderful portrayal of human feelings and relationships. While it wounded up being Very Heterosexual (and the main couple develops in a rather cold and questionable manner, but hey, the wife wasn’t forced to give up her dreams to become a housewife. A+ for progress! ) the portrayal of Majime’s camaraderie with Nishioka (and Nishioka’s very great relationship with his gf!) was really the heart of the show, and just for that it’s absolutely worth the watch.

5.Natsume Yuujinchou Go: I think it’s rather telling to the quality of the season overall that Natsume Yuujinchou somehow fell just slightly above the middle of the pack. I do feel this season of Natsume was weaker than the previous ones, but to be honest I can’t quite pinpoint why. Maybe it didn’t feel like we reached a new milestone in Natsume’s development or in learning about Reiko –in fact, it feels we learned conspicuously little about Reiko this season-, although the final episode and the Touko episode were notable highlights. With a sixth season already in the works, I have little else to say other than, even when it’s not in top form, this is still among the best one could ever hope to get from anime

4.Bungo Stray Dogs 2: Remember how season 1 was good but not what I wanted it to be? Well, season 2 wasn’t exactly what I’d originally hope BSD would be about but it sure as fuck was fantastic! Starting with the flashback episodes to Dazai’s time in the Port Mafia and the story of Oda Sakunosuke, to the introduction of the American writers and the follow-up with Kyouka and Atsushi’s arcs as well as Akutagawa (!!!!) it was a genuinely amazing season that completely justifies watching the first one even if you weren’t entirely convinced about it at first. My only gripe is the lack of Kunikida, but this season showed that Dazai is the lynchpin of this series and he fulfills that role to perfection. I loved loved loved this season and I hope we get more of this series.

3.Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable: While it floundered a little in the second cour (seriously I was happy Shigechi died, he was an awful character), it picked itself right back up in the third and the battle against Kira –who is an astonishingly amazing villain- was just week after week of blood-pumping excitement and fun. Not every episode was perfect, but the package as a whole is fantastic. At moments it felt more like Kishibe Rohan’s Bizarre Adventure, but even that was okay because every member of the cast was so great. You can see the passion David Production has for this franchise, and I’m hoping they’ll continue adapting it. While Joseph is still Best JoJo, I think part 4, with its incredibly strong cast and creative set up might be my favorite arc so far.

2.Haikyuu 3: vicky’s probably gonna hate me for this but If I’m honest, the Shiratorizawa match wasn’t my favorite in the manga. I love the development Tsukki got through it and I commend Furudate for how brilliantly he’s been working in making these characters grow in such satisfying ways. But Shiratorizawa, and Ushijima specially, is the epitome of OP rival and that’s something that’s never really worked for me. It felt like the Rakuzan game in Kurobas, there were moments in which it felt that it just never ended. And I was worried about how they were going to work it into ten episodes. I think it’s a testament to the anime team that they managed to make it not actually feel like 10 episodes, and that they’ve made this one of the most exciting matches to watch in all of Haikyuu. It was truly spectacular and I can’t wait for S4

1.Yuri!!! on ICE: Joke’s on you, this was a Yuri on Ice post all along!! Even if my conflicted feelings about the ending had been sourer and heavier, I would have no doubt that this is the best show of the season (and the year). It’s taken me a while, but after having chewed on my feelings for a couple of days (while fighting the denialists with all my might) I’m even more confident about it. I don’t even know what more praise I can rain on this beautiful, beautiful show that has literally saved me so many times during this really difficult trimester and I am ever so grateful to its creators for giving us such a beautiful gift in such dark times. Now please end our suffering and confirm a season 2, because just like Victor and Yuuri can’t live without each other (canon!) I can’t live without them anymore ;—;

What a strong season this was! A high note to end an otherwise shitty year! Thanks everyone for following this nonsense blog and I hope this new year brings us all more beautiful anime (and less menstrual cramps for me). Winter shows I’m watching premiere literally today so I’ll skip the “anticipation” rundown and go straight to my watchlist in a couple of weeks.  As always, I’ll be happy to hear which were your favorite and least favorite shows of the season, but I know y’all never answer to my questions ;—-;

Kaisoo 1.0

((I actually don’t want to post this but hey let’s just do this. at least, my heart feels lighter.))

So I stumbled across some sasaengs Tumblr, insta & twitter. I went through their past posts (before the kai***l dating news surfaced). It’s funny how they support, compliment Jongin initially. Then, after the dating news popped out, Jongin suddenly turned to be the most fucked up person in EXO. I’m like…. wtf man? How can your judgement change so fast?

Regarding the gay rumour, it might be either jongin or krystal that is related to it. However, it might not be either of them as well. But the news about them dating was released not long after the gay rumour was brought up again. Weird hah (or just me being delulu<— I like the delulu term btw). Anyway, they said that it could be kryber. Idk much about kryber though, so I’ll stop there. When an anon asked if any of EXO’s members are gay/bisexual, they said nope or a small chance of him and him are.

Ok, I’m might be delulu as fuck again but…

I’m taking human behaviour subject to fill up my credits. My lecturer would give us some random romantic body gestures/languages at the end of our lecture (which is an eye-opening and interesting). And all I can relate is how kaisoo interact with each other. I REPEAT. I MIGHT BE DELULU.

I never shipped any OTP before bcoz I find it weird. It’s kind of inappropriate shipping two same sex gender humans (I enjoyed reading/watching yaoi manga/anime btw). It’s like I’m offending them in some way. But kaisoo basically questioned my belief. Coz who the fuck act they way they acted. Oh yeah. They’re best friend. Very close friend (which I believe they’re indeed). I-need-to-touch-you-here-and-there-No-one-can-touch-you-except-me-Ok?-friendship

Initially, I used to ship kaisoo as a bro OTP or friendship OTP. Coz they showed that they are very comfortable with each other which is really cute and pleasing to see. They shared a very pure and close friendship. But the way they acted was weird and too intimate for friends after WOLF era. (I didn’t know about their pre-debut pictures back then. I think it was released later than their Mama debut).

Oh, friends do whisper this close with lips touching the ears. So normal.

Oh, friends do some bonding neck caressing thingy. Coz we can.

Oh, friends do eskimo kiss like nobody business. (why they look so happy, it was like they were in their own bubble).

Oh, friends squashed their faces together. We ain’t know what is personal space.

Oh friends lay on top of the other coz we’re just so close. bff forever peace yaw

Of friends stare like this. it’s a thing. don’t you know about it?

Oh friends touch each other lips coz yupp it’s ok to do that. coz your saliva is totally not disgusting.

Oh, friends talk in a flirty manner. Just two very very very very close guy friends flirting with each other. Nothing much. Totally fucking normal.

(I didn’t plan to be this sarcastic. sorry to those who were offended.) But seriously if I have a friend acting like that around me, I’ll be wondering if she’s interested in me romantically.

Taekai is indeed close and Jongin is known for his skinship. But they don’t give off that special vibe especially Jongin. He has like two different modes when he is around Tae and Soo. Maybe this is bcoz we rarely see them interact with each other onscreen. So I can’t judge 100% based on that.

Maybe kaisoo are not even close romantically. Maybe they are indeed the best friends of all. Maybe they are dating someone else. Maybe they are straight as a pole. But I think during the time when they’re together (working), something must really have happened between them. Even a small fling or anything. Seriously.

I, myself don’t like to ship humans being with feelings (straight or not) when they’re clearly not together. But kaisoo has to be an exception.

Based on my real life experience, I always hint on which guy is interested in which girl. I usually do this to my schoolmates or ppl that I know. Sometimes I did this to strangers when I went to my friend’s bday party or what and they invited some friends that Idk. I don’t share this with anyone. I won’t even tell anyone if someone likes you (even my friend) coz having a feeling more than just a friend towards someone is private. Most of my hints are on point. Some just small flings, some really did build up into something more meaningful (ahh the taste of sweet love).

We, humans, are very obvious. My lecturer once told me that to never believe a person’s words 100% but believe in the way their body moves because our body languages tend to betray our words.

I’m not saying that kaisoo is indeed real like fucking real ppl y re u so fucking blind. Like I said, something must really have happened between them.

I don’t even know what to feel anymore tbh. Ppl might hate me for this post.

Oh yeah. Heads up. I don’t hate kai***l. They’re indeed cute and match made in heaven. But ain’t my cup of tea (totally being bias here LOL).

All gifs are not mine. Cr to all of the owners! (p/s: iloveyou)

Don’t hate me. I love you too.

anonymous asked:

are you still doing the shipping meme thing? if yes kyou kara maou please :)))

Oh yes! absolutely~ with pleasure ^^

Kyou Kara Maou! wasn’t expecting this one to pop out since I’ve only ever posted kkm once, i think?? please take note that i haven’t read the light novel yet, my views may differ after doing so…for now, I’ve seen both anime & manga

  • lowkey otp >> Gwendal x Anissina - I love Anissina <3 tho admittedly, in the anime, I was skeptical about her at first I think Gwendal and her would make a really good pair. I don’t see them balancing each other out…they’re clashing against each other more like it –but it’s a nice kind of clash?? They both have strong contradicting views and opinions although ultimately gives into the other’s whims (in Gwen’s case at least) and they somehow work, it’s wonderful~
  • highkey notp >> none…as i’ve previously said on the other shipping meme I answered, I am against ship wars and therefore do not support any hate towards other people’s ship –I accept not liking, hate is too strong of a word…NO TO SHIP WARS.

  • [softly] don’t otp >> not really a notp but I don’t quite appreciate shipping Conrad to anyone but Julia. I’m sorry I am not a ConYuu fan, I find that too tragic even tho i love angst since Yuuri’s soul was Julia’s but he’s not really Julia…I don’t want to see Yuuri as Conrad’s second chance to finally be with her –Julia is Julia; Yuuri is Yuuri…they may seem to have some similarities but they are still different people that lived in different time frames and were shaped in different worlds. I can understand the appeal of shipping them but I’d rather they be platonic.
  • highkey otp but i’m scared of saying it because it’s not a very popular choice >> Murata x Wolfram - So Wolf looks a lot like Shinou, which I think is a more popular choice but even tho Murata was once “The Great Sage”, the him now isn’t what lived in the past. He’s the same age as Yuuri with memories of his past life. I want him to let go and be free of the burden. Imagine his mental state as a kid before understanding what he actually was seeing all the pains and deaths his previous incarnations experienced, it won’t be a stretch if we assume at least once or twice he was reborn into the world people thought he was crazy. Now imagine Wolfram giving up on chasing after Yuuri, finding consolation in Murata who should be equally if not more tired than he is with everything. add the fact that I see chemistry between them despite their minimal direct interaction and how in sync they were in the manga in taunting Sara (in my opinion, the anime reduced Wolfram too much as a comic relief character…there’s so much more with him)
  • highkey otp and anyone on my tumblr knows it >> my only KKM post besides this one was YuuRam…idk if anyone knows but it is my otp. Wolfram is my absolute fave character in KKM. He’s pretty, quite literally fiery, headstrong and passionately loyal. Although the anime didn’t really showcased it, he was very understanding and his mature side showed when alone in decisive situations with Yuuri. It pains me how much Wolf tries to convey his feelings (cos I do believe he genuinely loves his fiancé) to Yuuri in either subtle or obvious ways but is brushed off to the sidelines more often than not…the Bear-bee incident, in particular, was one of my favorite moments…anime Wolfram wanted to destroy the large cocoon but was persuaded against doing so by Yuuri, later helping warm it…manga Wolfram however was making Yuuri sign a marriage contract; Yuuri thought Wolfram was being ridiculous, but Wolfram ripped said contract himself into pieces in order to close the damage in the cocoon after Yuuri convinced him into helping. I cried I swear a part of me died, Wolf’s smile was too painful to watch when he tore that contract…I can’t!! sometimes I want Wolfram to leave Yuuri for Murata or anyone he could find hapiness with, and I hope Yuuri would realize how important Wolf is to him and try take his fiancé back only to realize it’s too late…didn’t I say I love angst??

anonymous asked:

It may make you angry, but I'm from Poland and I can't stand the fluffy-pinky-gay image of my country in Hetalia fandom. We're one of the most traditionalist country in the EU, a man would be probably beaten if he went outside in a fucking skirt. It sounds still ridiculous for me that two people of the same gender can marry, because it's illegal here.

Wow um, that doesn’t really make me angry i guess just?? a little taken off guard by this weirdly hostile ask out of nowhere lol. But here’s what I have to say:

I’m not sure how long you’ve been familiar with my blog or if u just decided to yell at a hetalian today and chose me at random, but I wouldn’t really classify myself as a fan of the “fluffy-pinky-gay image” of APH Poland either tbh. It actually makes me really upset when people just want to stereotype him as such based on the image that the fandom has dubbed for him, and instead overlook all of his history, struggles, triumphs, culture, and basically everything “Polish” about him. If you knew me you’d know I’m actually one of the most angry and disappointed people in the fandom at this because it constantly infuriates me with the way he gets categorized simply by the way hima drew him.

Idk there is so much to address in this ask I’m struggling to try and write this as eloquently as possible but forgive me i’m doing this at work so i may sound a lil jumbled. The deal is, it’s actually pretty problematic when people want to erase all that Feliks is and represents and just paint him up as “the gay character” or “transv****te cross-dresser” simply because he wore a skirt in a strip that made him fit that stereotype. There is so much potential to his character as far as depth and exploration goes that is often horribly skewed or ignored by other hetalians in favor of just reducing him down to “fabulous valley girl.” And to be quite honest its pretty ooc, but thats more of a different topic for another time.

Don’t get me wrong, I have a few qualms with hima myself and some of the problematic content that he’s decided to include in hetalia, but if you pay attention to Canon Feliks vs Fanon Feliks, you’ll notice alot of the “fluffy-pinky-gay image” has been forced onto him by young (lowkey homophobic) fans. The way Feliks acts in canon (if you take away the over-use of the “valley girl accent” that the translator chose to assign to him to match w/e Japanese dialect hima was trying to give him) you could actually interpret many things differently. By doing so, it’s much easier to see how strong, tough, charismatic, loyal, trusting, and deep he actually is. You see his strengths, his faults, his mistakes, his victories, his growth as a character, nation, and person over the years. You can see moments of happiness, sorrow, silliness, seriousness, moments of weakness, moments of power, moments of worry, moments of confidence, love, hate, regret, revenge, but above all…perseverance. So trust me, it makes me just as confused and angry when people want to ignore what a diverse -if not somewhat ironic/conflicting- character he is and instead change him around to fit what they want to see him as. I wish he was treated with more respect.

I understand how traditional the “real’ Poland is, believe me. I’ve been in this fandom for many years and you’re not the first “””real polish person”” I’ve seen get angry over aph poland. You’re not alone.

The thing about hetalia though, is that it is just an anime. All told through the views and thoughts of a japanese man. The story is intended to be a light comedy making fun of nationality stereotypes while simultaneously celebrating the history, culture, and people of each said nation. The intention, as I’ve also taken it (or choose to take it anyway), is to take the setup for these lovable, flawed characters, and kind of???? have fun with them per say…

People are free to interpret things, events, practices, and the characters themselves how they choose (generally speaking anyways). I think there’s nothing wrong with that as long as it’s respectful and not gross in anyway (again, another topic). So therefore, there’s nothing wrong with headcanoning Feliks as being gay. I understand how “the real poland” is set up and what their laws are (though I don’t claim to be an expert or openly discuss them as I am not polish nor do i live there, so i feel that is not my place) but there are so many other things to take into consideration before you come off as homophobic yourself.

One thing to consider, is how the same thing could be said for well over half the nations. To claim that a hetalia character “can’t be gay” because of politicians and a government party’s standpoint is pointless and irrelavent tbh. I’ve always felt it?? weird to try and tie a nation down to a specific time period or law when they’ve been around for literally centuries, and have witnessed and believed in all different type of social norms and morals and laws that evolve and change as time progresses. Its actually pretty closed-minded to expect thousand year old nations to buy into every single detail of present-day customs and viewpoints. Many of the more conservative viewpoints of many nations around the world are relatively new ideas as far as strict practice goes in comparison to the personified character themselves. Something that’s been an enforced idea for the last 50 years or so could just feel like a month or two to an immortal being lmao. But again, I believe most of it is up to interpretation.

I don’t want to speak for the lgbt in poland, or any polish lgbt throughout history as i don’t feel i have the right or enough adequate knowledge to do so, but a hetalia nation is supposed to be sympathetic to and feel the struggles and pain and happiness and glory of all their citizens. Regardless of what the political standpoint of the country is on (I personally believe nations choose not to align themselves with political parties in general as a conflict of interest would ensue) hima has stated time and again that the nations also have the ability to be their own person, and have their own views and standpoints on things that might not match the “majority” of the current political climate (ex. Germany himself was shown to be annoyed with and hated dealing with Adolf Hitler). So it’s not really fair to pretend like a nation has never-looked-at-the-same-gender allllll throughout history just like it’s silly to presume that all people are StraightTM until proven otherwise.

Canon APH Poland, Feliks Łukasiewicz, the man who likes pink, the man who doesn’t care about gender norms or what kind of fabric he puts on his body because he’s old and has obtained a certain level of nation wisdom enough to know that not only is gender a construct and there’s nothing shameful about “””feminine clothing”””” (even though clothes are just pieces of fabric meant to cover your body and dont have genders lol), but has also seen all kinds or fashion and different types of clothing all throughout history and has worn frilly neck ties, jewelry, heels, makeup, and capes back when those were once considered to be “”masculine”” at that time period as well and remembers how fucking good he used to look in that shit and after all he’s been through knows that he has the right to rock w/e the fuck he wants, the man who historically, legally, culturally, and personally married to another man, the man who still remembers his childhood before he even heard of Christianity, the man who had one of the most tolerant and flourishing commonwealths in history, the man who has such strong ties to the romantic period and who, as a nation, is much more complicated than mortal humans could ever hope to understand…… absolutely wonderful.

Now I’m sorry that lgbt representation and rights is lacking in Poland at the moment, as it is all over the world. Truly I am, and it makes me upset. I don’t know if you share those same homophobic and hateful views (your tone implies that you do), but the fight and struggle of the lgbt people is far to complicated and powerful to use as a playing chip on a silly Japanese cartoon, and i think basing a headcanon off of prejudice and hate like that is disrespectful to the nation, and to bringing that into a cartoon is disrespectful to the lgbt struggle as well and belittles it all tbh. But as i said before, that topic is best left for another day.

I’m sorry you felt so insulted by a cartoon character to come to my inbox about it, as if i have any control of what this fandom does to him, but I try to just look past all the forced, fanon garbage to see feliks for what he really is. A strong, tough, talented, complicated, fearless, resilient, yet still endlessly sarcastic, funny, mischievous person.

Do you not think that is a good tribute to the Polish people?

en / atsushi (enatsu) version

this post is mainly comprised of quotes about the members of the earth defense club and may include spoilers so read at your own caution !! ok this one will be based on our favourite listless can’t-be-bothered yufuin en and his wife atsushi yoo

pls note that these reviews were written in a enatsu / ioryuu shipper perspective (lol @ me for being enatsu trash) and please do not distribute my translations anywhere + i got these quotes from here ( keep in mind that everything is in korean lmao ) and if there are any mistakes / inaccuracies please feel free to fix me on them as these are my first translations !!

yufuin en

‘love making!’

yufuin en (18). instead of firing with energy and enthusiasm, he was really in fact dismally going along with all of this childplay. he was the complete opposite, as if being manipulated by some sort of cosmic force, he lightly met the illuminating cerulean jewel with his lips; the bracelet which the gem originally belonged to wrapping his left wrist. never once he thought in his life until now, no in fact during his entire life would these words spontaneously tumble out from his mouth: “the flashing prince, battle lover cerulean!”

‘ah-… why isn’t yumoto here… i had to be the first one to transform, now everyone will believe that i’m leading the battle lovers-… how bothersome-… saying things like ‘battle lovers’ as i’m an expert of some sort in this kind of matter is really disreputable… well instead of saying the shortened version of the phrase, its more saddening that i have the full version kept in memory…’
- pg 17 en’s monologue

just from this you can tell en really hates being part of the battle lovers well not only him the other three too aha ^^;; according to the novel descriptions, as they’ve been fighting the monsters as a battle lover for a long period of time they occasionally self-mockingly ask themselves “how many times have we fought as a battle lover?” and gets upset over the topic ;; (..)

other than that there are descriptions in the novel about en apparently experiencing some sort of trauma in the past so his body stiffens whenever he sees any creature that’s black… it says 모 트라우마 which can mean different things so iw asn’t entirely sure… also en apparently has the habit of using the locker 15 at the kurotama bathhouse (so atsushi is probably 13/14 !!) and he likes stretching a lot since he has long limbs(???) idk why they’d put that sort of thing in the novel but ok lmao en also states that often while he’s walking home with atsushi from school they’d stop by the park and talk whilst sitting on the benches (sounds like an afterschool date if you ask me) and apparently en gets easily stressed about his face ‘getting old’ omg

now for some enatsu-ish quotes !

“the atsushi who’s always by my side, isn’t here with me today”
- pg 54 en’s monologue

“when en-chan isn’t here with me, i feel as if an important part of me is missing”
- pg 68 atsushi’s monologue

now excuse me while i go cry in a toilet bc enatsu… atsushi is so important to en it hurts me ughfhfg and as stated in both the boueibu game ANd the anime + now the novel, atsushi is like “air” to en. from this we can understand that atsushi is a being whom en cannot live without and im sure atsushi feels the same way too… fuck just look at the monologues they both sound so melancholic and lonely„.. he’s always by en, always together but in this particular episode where everyone’s split up apparently both en and atsushi fall into these deep, complicated thoughts and suffer from deprivation whilst constantly thinking of each other AND THEYVE ONLY BEEN APART FOR WHAT, A DAY ????„..??

ok now atsushi

kinugawa atsushi

everyone’s favourite (en’s favourite*) mum-like / megane character atsushi !!

kinugawa atsushi (18) prepared for the worst.

“the piercing prince, battle lover epinard!”

‘i give up… it’s only for a while longer, although en chan’s strongly against this sort of thing he decided to start off for us which im grateful for. the fate and future that awaits us will be painful, but i’ll brush it off thinking of it as some sort of trial. i believe there will be a day where we can bring this bizzare experiences of ours back to life again. if not, i’ll just forget about it. to be honest, it would be better not to think about it. because if i think about it too deeply i might end up hating it even more.’
- pg 18 atsushi’s monologue

atsushi is apparently the only person who finds the whole fighting as a battle lover ‘painful’ .. other than yumoto the other four are skeptical about it but according the novel atsushi actually despises these fights and conflict probably because of his past experiences with kusatsu …??

atsushi is also very humble about his rich-kid status and is often described as a fine looking, mature, soft, broad-minded and kind senpai character but atsushi himself usually denies this as he is a modest person. wombat once stated that atsushi might even be a 腹黒(はらぐろ haraguro) which means that although atsushi is a sweet, calm person on the outside, he harbours his darkness within and is disguising himself..„ i really doubt it though lmao i really dont think atsushi is a yandere type of person ?? but there are scenes where en refers atsushi as a どs which means an extreme sadist so …?? what are you hiding atsushi….

anyway time for more enatsu quotes !! (the part ive been waiting for the most) the novel included heaps of atsushi / en scenes and if i were to translate some of the really touching and impressive scenes :

atsushi : “is there something wrong yumoto?”
yumoto : “senpai was just with en chan senpai wasn’t he?”
atsushi : “ah, right. how’s en chan?”
yumoto : “shouldn’t you two make up?”
atsushi : “eh, with who?”
yumoto : “with en chan senpai!”
yumoto : “if i were to say you decided not to reconcile with him, wouldn’t atsushi senpai still be lonely?”
atsushi : “…eh?”
yumoto : “just then, you had that kind of expression.”

atsushi : “then would yumoto like to hang out with me today?”
yumoto : “mm, is it perhaps that you can’t think of anything to do with me?”
yumoto : “atsushi senpai doesn’t really want to play with me though, does he?”
atsushi : “…eh?”
atsushi : “…” (he’s in awe of what yumoto just said)
yumoto : “as expected, atsushi senpai likes en chan senpai right?”

i was surprised, i felt as if someone pierced the centre of my heart with an arrow with incredible accuracy.
- an excerpt from pg 69-72 atsushi and yumoto’s conversation

as i stated in my yumoto post (x) the two words yumoto uses the most are like and love… i wish they’d specify what kind of ‘like’ atsushi interpreted .., also stated in the yumoto post, yumoto has the ability to point out one’s true feelings and so he pointed out that even though if atsushi was only a few metres to a long distance away from en, atsushi will still feel lonely without en isnt that adorable ughfhfhd

apparently at school, even the teachers state that ‘kinugawa and yufuin are excellent companions for each other’ and it’s felt that most of the conflicts that atsushi is in mainly revolve around en..

yumoto : “it’s starting to let off a great smell, it looks delicious!”
atsushi : “seafood curry, en chan really likes these,” ( oh ofc atsushi is thinking of en whilst making curry )

as these words tumbled out of my mouth, yumoto began to look into my face intently.

atsushi : “…what’s wrong?”
yumoto : “since you made a lot, why don’t you deliver some to him?” (FUCKFUCK YUMOTO IS DEFINITELY THE CUPID OK)
atsushi : “ah… …that’s right, i’ll contact him,”
atsushi : “i was thinking of leaving him alone for today, but seafood curry might cheer him up,”

i remarked, having a taste of the food i just made and thought in approval,

atsushi : ‘mm, en chan would definitely like this flavour.”
- pg 80-81 atsushi and yumoto’s conversation

ok enatsu pls get married that is all i want and god bless yumoto for understanding how important en is to atsushi and being the cupid of enatsu

anonymous asked:

Is it ok to ask you 1-30? (you can take out the ones you don't like)

1. where you first heard/saw the game
BLAME SNICKERDOOTS. She first introduced me to it. She had played it when it first came out and fell in love with Clear. The first CG I saw of the game was naked Clear in an apron holding a knife and I was like WELP GONNA STAY AWAY FROM THAT ONE FOR A WHILE. But then I downloaded the torrent and tried to install it on my computer after I had finished Togainu no Chi, which I loved. But my computer couldn’t handle it. I only got it to work a few months ago xD;

2. first impression
My first impression, as I said, was this:

So naturally, I was like

And didn’t come back to it for well over another 2 months.

3. first character you saw

4. character you thought you were going to like the most

I thought, first and foremost, I was gonna like Noiz the most. He has the most ridiculous outfit and he always looks like he’s really satisfied with himself after telling a dumb fart joke.
5. character you ended up liking the most

Oh my god protect this big gay baby. Im surprised how much Koujaku gets overlooked when people just start getting into DMMD. To me, he’s easily the healthiest boyfriend for aoba. I mean there’s a bit of a dependency issue going on… If aoba got together with any of the other guys, koujaku would probably just kill himself. :/ Also the fact that he looks like a super bad-ass ninja but in reality he’s just this awkward dork who does hair for a living and spends his time crashing at aoba’s house and pretending to be cool. How can you not love him?

6. character you like the least

There is obviously something mentally wrong with Trip. If you think about it, he does everything he can to emulate Virus, a truly evil person who revels in how horrible he can be. Virus knows the difference between right and wrong, but I really don’t think Trip does because he’s always followed Virus, who chooses to do the wrong thing. And that in itself is terrifying.

7. side character you like the most

I wouldn’t even call Tae a side character, because she is very actively involved in the plot. In fact, she knows more about what’s going on more than anyone else does. She’s always in the loop and she always has something to contribute. The greatest thing about her though, is how she is literally the best parental figure in any game/anime I’ve ever seen. She’s a tough disciplinarian for Aoba (and the other guys as well), but she’s also very kind and supportive. Instead of most anime protagonists who struggle with most of their problems on their own, Aoba has no issue confiding in his grandmother because she proves to be great at pep-talks. She’s also supportive of Aoba’s gay lifestyle. Best grandma? Best grandma.

8. side character you like the least

I hate kids in general. And these kids are super annoying. For no other reason as just to be annoying little kids. Although I thought it was adorable how the little girl had this tsundere crush on Noiz. Sorry, you’re 12 years too young and he’s 12 shades too gay.

9. route you like the best

Koujaku’s route is rot-your-teeth-out sweet @_@. One might argue that childhood friends growing up together, working out their problems, and ultimately falling in love is super cliche and has been done a million times, but it’s so obvious how much Koujaku loves Aoba right from the get-go, it’s hard not to be rooting for him. Especially since if Koujaku doesn’t end up with Aoba in the end, he’s likely to go after Ryuuhou himself and then commit suicide. </3 Noooo

10. route you like the least

If you were like me and did all the other routes before Mink, Mink’s route is INCREDIBLY JARRING AND HORRENDOUSLY TRIGGERING. If you were a victim of emotional and sexual abuse, DO NOT PLAY MINK’S ROUTE. There is no love, no tenderness, until the end of his playthrough in the second game. And even then, Aoba’s behavior is clearly a text-book example stockholm syndrome. Mink spends his route beating Aoba to ‘put him in his place’, drugging him, degrading him, raping him violently and repeatedly, and dragging him back to do it all over again when Aoba tries to get away. It’s terrifying to watch Aoba slowly come to accept he’ll never be able to escape and try to justify his unhealthy attachment by reasoning that Mink did it all 'to make him hate Mink so he could achieve his goals without any attachments.’ Like some kind of fucked-up martyrdom. Just because you want to get revenge and kill yourself doesn’t mean you can treat people around you like fucking trash. Mink gets better in the next game, but he still doesn’t apologize for all the horrible shit he did. Wtf man?? You want a boyfriend or a slave?

11. have you played through all the routes? if not, which routes have you played through?
I’ve done all of them except for Ren’s route! It’s hard to figure out! Wtf am I doing wrong?

12. favorite moment in any route

I cannot wait to see this scene play out in the anime. Omg, a bunch of grown-ass men rolling around on Aoba’s floor, breaking shit and punching each other in the face. The grandma busts in like WHAT THE SHIT IS GOING ON EVERYONE DOWNSTAIRS RIGHT NOW. And then she bops them all on the head and makes them doughnuts. Like they’re five-year-olds. Omg.

13. favorite moment in your favorite route

Aoba’s all bent out of shape because Koujaku’s acting super shady and staying out until like 5am, not telling Aoba where the hell he’s going, so Aoba follows him to this club where Koujaku’s chatting it up with some girls. Aoba can’t handle the crazy drug lights in the club and throws up all over Koujaku’s kimono. Koujaku’s first reaction is to piggyback him back to Glitter, not giving half a fuck. Keep him, Aoba.

14. favorite good ending

Noiz’s route wasn’t my favorite, but the good ending is actually adorable. Noiz gets out of the hospital and the first thing he does is go back to Germany, patch things up with his parents, clean himself up, get a job, and come back to Japan 3 months later to pick up his gay bride. Whoop! You picked a good one Aoba. Turns out he’s filthy fucking rich and ready to take you back to his mansion after fucking you in a swanky hotel. Jackpot.

15. favorite bad ending

Koujaku’s bad ending is heartbreaking. Both Aoba and Koujaku fall victim to their 'monsterous’ other forms. Aoba becomes Shiroba and subjects himself to being hurt by Koujaku, who has lost all reason to his evil tattoo and become what he’d feared most. Shiroba tells Koujaku over and over that “he’s the Aoba that loves Koujaku very much”, but the truth is that Aoba blames himself so much for failing at Koujaku’s Scrap, that be buries his consciousness beneath the ever-present Desire that always longs to resurface.

16. which bad ending disturbed you the most

Clear’s bad ending is FUCKED UP. Clear is reprogrammed by Toue to suppress his emotional and empathetic capability, but part of the original Clear lingers enough to understand that he felt strongly for Aoba. Toue permits Clear to do what he pleases with Aoba after he’s through using his body for genetic experimentation. Clear has a bit of a crisis with autonomy and recognizes that he had once had free will and the capability to feel love, but now his existence reduced to whatever Toue wants. He keeps Aoba in a cage and surgically removes his eyes without anesthesia (this part is fucking terrifying and surreal omg). He then proceeds to have sex with Aoba, coaxing him to vocalize before he 'inevitably’ removes his vocal chords, arms, and legs.

17. OTP(s) that are canon (noiao, kouao, etc)
I ship all the canon pairings, actually lol. It’s hard for me to ship things that aren’t canon.

18. OTP(s) that aren’t canon (mizusei, noicle, etc)
I DON’T REALLY HAVE ANY NONCANON OTPs. Although if I had to pick

19. any ot3 or ot4
I love Koujaku/Aoba/Mizuki as just three bros doing bro stuff and bro-ing about town. :U Nothing sexual, just epic bro-ventures in brotown.

20. favorite AU

21. do you wish a character who didn’t have a route did have one? if so, which character?

I AM VERY CONFLICTED ABOUT MIZUKI because on the one hand, I think it’s great for Aoba to have at least one male friend who doesn’t want stick things up his butt, but on the other hand… MIZUKI WHY YOU NO HAVE ROUTE???

22. would you be excited if there was an anime made

I know it’s gonna be awful, but hell yes animation. I am all for this shit. All for it <3

23. what kind of Allmate would you like to have
Probably a cat. :U Idk Im boring. Also I can’t stand any other kind of animal in my house. :| This is a cat-only residence.

24. Rib or Rhyme?
Rib is basically just beating the shit out of each other in real life, and Rhyme is beating the shit out of each other in virtual reality. :| Gonna have to go with Rhyme.

25. which gang (ruff rabbit, scratch, etc) would you like to be in
Beni-Shigure, man. Supposedly, it’s small, everyone dresses like a ninja, and they spend their time helping old people and small children. I think if I were to be in any street gang, it would be the one that has an annual bake sale. Also it’s lead by Koujaku. There’s your answer. :|

26. which character would you want as a best friend
Probably Aoba. He’s pretty chill about everything. :U Although I have noticed he doesn’t particularly care for women who aren’t his grandma, so it probably wouldn’t work out lol.

27. which character would you want as a boyfriend/girlfriend
Ugh, none of them. Can you imagine? They all have such deep-rooted emotional problems stemming essentially from horrible or ruined childhoods. That is WAY too much baggage, man.

28. favorite song
Kanako Itou does the best music for the game. I’m torn between Dramatique and At Last.

29. favorite voice (voice actor)
Ooh, say what you want about Kisaichi Atsushi looking like a total nerd, but Aoba’s sexual moaning is just…

30. ending impression

There’s a ton of gay porn in DMMD, but it’s actually only about 10% porn and 90% plot, action, adventure, and drama. Which is why I love it. Nitro+CHIRAL is amazing at storytelling and the fact that the game is so long, it has enough time to make the characters so real and relatable is my favorite thing about it. Aoba isn’t just a self-insert mary-sue- he’s a very fleshed-out character with his own distinct personality. He’s also acts masculine compared to some yaoi wherein the uke could very well just be a girl. The characters feel human, the setting is cool, the art is amazing. Idk. It’s a great game. Everyone play should play it. <3

Not the only reasons some of us hate Vorona.

Of course Izaya’s done far worse than Vorona. Her wrong-doings aren’t even close to the reason I dislike her.

(warning for spoilers, Narita criticism and Vorona hate; scroll past if you’d get offended or upset, and blacklist the #hate tag if you haven’t already.)

“[T]here does seem to be a general idea on tumblr and amongst certain shippers that Vorona causes Shizuo danger and, for lack of a better word, to regress in his development.”
What? Who thinks this? She’s the reason Shizuo’s becoming something other than the character I love. He’s becoming tame. He’s becoming boring. He’s changed, and most people think it’s for the better, but I hate every word of it. It’s like OOC fanfiction (which there’s enough of in Shizaya fanfiction, tyvm–not that there aren’t some amazing Shizaya fics, and Love Blind Eyes is amazing despite being OOC), except it’s by the author so I have to believe it. To me, there’s not nearly enough build-up to make me believe it caused Shizuo to change like this. Well, then again, I’ve only read snippets and spoilers.

People are super appreciative of how much Vorona has helped Shizuo “grow”. I don’t like this Shizuo. I don’t like it at all. Of course he deserves happiness, but Narita can write him living a peaceful, happy life, without even snapping even once or relapsing into hurting someone close to him again, I won’t believe a word of it.

Vorona is very strong, yes, but she’s still no match for Shizuo. Shizuo is still capable of accidentally hurting her if he ever snaps again. I have no interest in a relationship like that, and the fact that Narita is trying to make it work makes me dislike her even more. Oh, so because of her (and maybe Akari, idk), he’s learning to control his rage, which he’s never been able to do before, and he’d stop if she were there to stop her? It sounds forced. It’s gaggingly cliche, and not even the tiniest bit moe or romantic.

She’s not the first person to not be afraid of him. Kasuka was. And then Shinra, Izaya, Celty, Simon, Tom, etc. With a person of his situation, the most romantic options for who to pair him up and are either: a) the first and only person who’s not afraid of him, and is the only person who can physically stop him if he were to lose it again and not get hurt in the process (whereas Vorona does just by being there and idk batting her eyelashes?*, which I just don’t buy)(while this option CAN be done, Narita didn’t pull it off at all–plus, many people who weren’t afraid of him came before her), or b) someone who’s not afraid of him, and is the person who can drive him over the edge the most, be the outlet for his pent up rage, manipulate him without getting truly hurt by him in the process (and wouldn’t even matter if Shizuo really did hurt that person), and most importantly can stand up to him with an equal but different kind of strength. Narita could’ve come up with someone who could fight on par equally with Shizuo and has the same level of strength, but that would completely ruin the point of Shizuo’s character as the strongest, unrivaled monster. For a romance to work for Shizuo in my eyes, it’d have to be with someone equally as strong, or else there will always be that inevitability that Shizuo will end up hurting them. Instead, Izaya, who is weaker, rivals him with not fists, but technique and manipulation. It’s neither sugary nor sweet, it isn’t love, and is definitely unhealthy and mutually abusive, but it’s way hella more interesting to me. Heck, my favourite headcanon is that Shizuo’s possessive over his right to kill Izaya, and visa versa, even though I know that’s not canon. And I dreadfully want to see it in v13, but it most likely won’t happen.

“This misconception (in my opinion) is an easy one to make though if you saw the anime and the ShizuoSaika arc and all you have heard is that Vorona’s orgasmic dream is to kill Shizuo and get in the way of Shizaya but - you see - it is actually quite the opposite.”
Maybe there are people who hate Vorona only because of certain spoilers that suggest she has bad intentions for Shizuo, and people think she only has bad intentions. And there are definitely people that hate her purely because she’s a cockblock. And then there are the people (well, me included) who hate her because we don’t believe that she has enough power over Shizuo to make him ignore Izaya. Those aren’t the only reasons, though. she’s laughingly predictable. She intended to get close to him and kill him; oh, and of course she had to fall for him. Seriously? Are you serious??
To be fair, about 30% of that hate is unfair resentment because of how accepting the fanbase was of her even though she’s not nearly as interesting as she could’ve been, and because I was upset at people who multishipped or jumped ship. But just 30%.
She’s boring, she makes Shizuo boring, and I’ve never liked kuudere characters much, either. Even if she were male, I would still dislike her.
And I will never, never, forgive her for being the one to nearly kill Izaya. That should’ve only been done by Shizuo.

I never expected a happy ending for Shizuo and Izaya, and I didn’t want a canonical happy ending for them either, but I also didn’t want either of them to find a happy ending with anyone else.

Still, the one I can’t forgive the most is Narita, who made Shizuo change like this in a way I find to be neither believable nor interesting, who doesn’t even understand that Shizaya is not a love-hate relationship, and gaybaits us anyway even though he has no intentions of making Izaya the one to have the most power over him, and especially for making Vorona be the one to do the deed, not Shizuo. What makes us happy is the promises that the shipping bait suggest. Empty promises don’t make anyone happy. I would rather that he not give us hope and just let us give up on it.

YoI episode 10

[You can read my previous mega-posts here:

Episode 1  Episode 2  Episode 3  Episode 4  Episode 5  Episode 6  Episode 7 Episode 8  Episode 9]

I know I’m late, but here I am with my post on YoI’s episode 10. I wasn’t expecting much from this one, to be honest. Just a filler before the GPF. Maybe some nervous Yuuri.

But what we got instead was glorious.

Winter Anime: Final Thoughts

Finally I can sit down and write down all the stuff I watched through the winter. I’ll just do a quick rundown of the stuff that finished this winter (pmuch everything except for AssClass). The Spring season is trickling in very slowly, so I’ll post my final watchlist once it’s all out (for the time being JoJo and HeroAca have been great, UshiTora was nice and everything else’s been so-so).

The series will be ranked from worst to best >:D

Dropped series

Halfway through the season I found myself with even less time to watch anime than usual, which ended with having to drop a lot of stuff that I was honestly watching out of inertia:

BBK/BRNK: I watched all the way to episode… 5? When it became evident we were going into contrived one-on-one battles because of some very convenient rule of I don’t even care I couldn’t bring myself to keep watching. Funnily, ep 5 was the strongest the show had since the first one, and it still didn’t hook me. Consensus seems to be I didn’t miss out on much.

Divine Gate: God episode 6 was soooo stupid. I heard that lots of people died in ep 7? I don’t know, even the unintentionally hilarious narrator gimmick became tiresome at some point. I think I saw a bit of the start of one episode? 7? 8? When the boss dude had a flashback of his meeting Santa Claus or something? Dunno, it was just so dumb and not funny enough to warrant the braincells I was wasting on it. I’ll never forget the guy who put ice on his ramen tho, thanks show.

HaruChika: Later episodes got slightly nicer than the first ones, with Haruta being just a little less pushy, something that really bothered me, but at the end of the day, the whole thing was really damn boring. I think I made it to episode 6.

(same, girl whose name I forgot, same)

Why did I watch this whole thing through?

Somehow I didn’t drop these shows, even though at the end of the day all I have left is this sense of hours of my life I’ll never get back

Garo: Guren no Tsuki: At the time of writing this sentence I haven’t watched the final episode, but I can bet all my Haikyuu Nendoroids that it won’t make up for the 23 weeks I waited for this show to get better. Now I’ve watched ep 24 (was it the ending?) I’m not even sure if that was the ending and I don’t care. God it was worse than I expected. Ugh, I hope the Honoo no Kokuin movie comes out soon. Hopefully we’l all forget this stupid waste of time ever existed

Dimension W: This show started okaaay-ish and it had some really interesting concepts… and then it crapped the bed, jumped the shark, shot itself in the eye, whatever you wanna call it. From the introduction of the “king of a nondescript African country in disarray” and the Easter Island nonsense everything went down the drain really fast. Like man, the whole thing turned out incredibly stupid, and that’s not even considering the asspull last minute villain. And it also left all the interesting concepts to die in a jungle of fake science gibberish.

Stuff that was okay

Shows that didn’t change my life, but didn’t waste it either

Ajin: The CGI is hoooorrrible. It started fairly weak too, but with the introduction of Satou and the reveal that Kei is actually a much grayer protagonist than it first appeared, I’m kind of intrigued to see where it’ll go. Not blown away by it, but my general impression improved quite a bit after Kei escaped the government facility. Would watch a second season if Netflix does more. Episode 12 was greaaat it kept me on edge the whole time. The last one hasn’t aired yet but my thoughts on this are pretty cemented

Grimgar: It was okay? It wasn’t as distasteful as it could’ve been? Went some interesting places in terms of grief and coping? The overall look of the production was very beautiful? I just don’t know if the character work it did was worth the 12 weeks, apart from Manato’s death episode I didn’t feel much of an emotional connection to the characters. Also Ranta is a sleazeball that never repents for the bullshit he does (just a little, at the end). Yume’s voice was very cute tho. But Haruhiro was so boring as a character. Idk, wouldn’t watch a S2 tbh. It’s weird because I think I like it more than Ajin (partly because colorful stuff>>> bleak stuff), but the story didn’t hook me? My feelings for this are very scattered

Prince of Stride: Look this show was fine and fun but the character development was overall terrible and it had some seriously bad shoehorned plot points (namely the main trio’s conveniently forgotten childhood promise and that Nana was somehow dubbed the Princess of Stride because her father was the King? Every time the announcer mentioned the King-Princess thing it felt so dumb and artificial, like no real sports announcer would say that). The finale was complete bullshit, I feel robbed of real resolutions in the characters’ relationships. But I did like the overall style, and I did come to like the characters, so I have more positive feelings for it than the other two.

Fairy Tail: This makes me sad. I love the story of Fairy Tail. With a few hiccups here and there, the manga is overall fantastic and extremely fun. And the first year’s worth of episodes for this second anime series was pretty fine, they did a good job with the GMG and the Dragon invasion. And then I don’t know what happened, but between the muddy colors, the sluggish pace, the atrocious animation, the endless recaps and the people-talking-really-slowly to fill-in time, even my favorite moments in an overall lackluster arc (Tartaros) and an arc I love (Zero) were overall extremely lacking in weight and emotion all I felt was disappointment and boredom. I’m very sad this show became like this and I really hope however long it takes them to do a new series, they’ll give it to someone who can love the material and give it the treatment it deserves.

Stuff I liked!

Not the shining stars of the season, but fun, entertaining shows that I enjoyed a lot.

Gundam: Tekketsu Orphans: This show started really strong and I overall like it, but when we reached the finale I realized I had no idea of how things had reached this point or why. There’s a S2 coming in Fall, and I’ll gladly watch it because I’m still deeply intrigued by the really unhealthy relationship Mika and Orga have, but I have no idea of where the story’s gonna go at this point. This feels like a more competently executed Aldnoah (not that it’s high praise, that show was a mess). It did a good job engaging me in the character relationships. As a Person who hates the original Gundam ™ I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this was.

Akagami no Shirayukihime: Definitely a step-down from the first half. The most remarkable thing about this season was the development for Obi and Raj, both characters becoming my favorites (interestingly both began as antagonists) and I really enjoyed every moment they spent on screen (Obi wearing formal clothing is so important to me now). I did feel that both Shirayuki and Zen became stuck and didn’t really evolve much, not in their relationship and not as individuals, so that was disappointing. Also, the kidnapping arc was very dumb. But the overall experience is pleasant and happy, I can’t really bring myself to hate the show. Would watch an S3 (that will never happen) if they promised me we’ll see Mitsuhide doing something about his very poorly hidden feelings for Kiki.

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi: This show peaked around episode 7-8 with Kayo’s story, achieving some true brilliance in how it dealt with abuse and how victims cope with it, and then it never managed to reach those heights once Kayo was written out of the show. The identity of the killer was disappointingly obvious, I wish they had been more overt about it or that they’d presented two equally viable suspects so it could be an actual surprise when the truth was revealed. Satoru’s final confrontation with the killer was laughably ridiculous and I can’t help feeling annoyed by the fact that the masterpiece hidden in Satoru’s soul and repressed by his regret was a generic teenage magicky craptastic looking thing. I’m sure he made more people happy delivering pizzas. Still a worthwhile watch, mostly for Kayo’s stuff.

Assassination Classroom would go here but it’s only halfway through. It’s a really good show though, y’all should check it out! FukuJun’s doing a brilliant job as Korosensei too. Not a fan of the “taming” of Irina (I’ve never liked how she’s treated by this show in general) or the whole Shinigami storyline, but it’s overall doing a good job.

Lupin III: This was a damned good show! Its flavor is somewhat lighter than Fujiko Mine but more adult than Cagliostro, like a healthy middle ground. The last two episodes weren’t that great, but the rest of the show was very fun and unique, with a fantastic look, unique storylines and tricks –the midseason finale was brilliant!- and it did a great job integrating the new characters: Nix and Rebecca. I’m very glad I decided to give this one a shot.

Best of the Season

(that should be self-explanatory)

Durarara!!x2 Ketsu: I’m honestly kind of amazed by how they wrapped everything up. These last three cours improved progressively and I was very happy with how everything was tied up. I adore Shinra and Celty, so their beautiful climactic reunion at the end (especially Shinra admitting to his own selfishness and risking his life for their love) made me so happy. I am however disappointed that Anri didn’t actually do anything or that no one actually punched Mikado for being a dick. Rokujo was a great character and I would’ve liked to see him in the epilogue too. My husbando Shizuo was his perfect beautiful self all the way through and I love him. I’ll miss this series. I think I’ll rewatch it actually, from season 1. It’s definitely one of my all-time favorites, even after all these years.

Haikyuu S2: I have mixed feelings on this. I think the adaptation was absolutely beautiful in every sense, and we all know how much I adore these characters. However, I do absolutely feel they could’ve padded the games a little more (give Johzenji, Wakunan and Datekou more screentime) and leave the Seijoh match for Season 3. That way they wouldn’t be running out of material and we’d get more Oikawa and Iwa-chan (why did I have to develop such a huge crush on Iwa-chan just as his part in the series ended ;A;). I understand why they did it this way –to set the contrast between this finale and the ending of S1- but I still wish they’d made it a little longer and I can’t help feeling a little bitter about it. It’s still a show I love and that I can’t wait to get more of, and certainly my favorite sports anime up to date.

Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu: Hands down the best show of the season and a strong contender for anime of the year, I can’t imagine there’ll be much stuff to rival it. It’s such a unique and adult story with so many nuances, beautiful direction, well-rounded characters and that subtly deals with issues of sexuality and gender roles and just… ugh. That scene in the graveyard murdered me. I think it’s a must see if you’re able to look past the unconventional theme. I’m so happy to know that it’ll have a second season to cover the rest of the manga.

As an overall I think the season was weak, a lot of forgetable, mediocre shows and nothing “so bad it’s good” to make up for it. But bcause Showa was such a strong and unique offering, -the kind of show you only see a handful ot times every decade it makes the whole season worthwhile and I don’t feel like three months of nothingness (hello spring 2015)

What were your favorite shows of the season? Replies are bac so y’all con comment here directly about it

Juzo Sakakura Appreciation Post

Yeeep! You heard me. That guy. Like theee Juzo  Sakura Sakakura (i have to keep reminding myself that he’s not a pink lil flower) from dangan ronpa 3.

Cause although I’m happy that more ppl are making heart eyes at our resident anger-management case after the Ep 4, I feel like there’s more we can appreciate about him than just his muscles.

This will be a mix from the anime and manga (Killer Killer) as well my own randomness but feel free to discuss with me (it’s quite long…like…..despairingly). However if you are absolutely set on hating this man no matter what happens and you don’t feel like entertaining a thought you don’t agree with, then this post is not for you (probably) and you should just scroll away now (I’m sorry ppl on mobile, you’re gonna hafta scroll for awhile). I mean, there’s no point in trying to reason with a hardhead who won’t listen to others right?? Like a certain someone we know… lol

1. *Ahem* So let’s start off with my attempt at being deep~ I remember someone categorizing people into 2 types: There’s the ones who would sacrifice their life for someone they love, and there’s the ones who would sacrifice the world…I feel like Chisa and Juzo illustrate both sides really well with their loyalty to Kyosuke. Chisa acted as Kyosuke’s shield from himself and kept him rooted through his inner conflicts (she would rather sacrifice herself for Kyosuke than hurt others for his sake).

Whereas Juzo would never hesitate to dirty his hands to be Kyosuke’s shield from outer conflicts/opposition. Someone already stated this (I think the lovely Komaesa?) but Juzo is self-sacrificing. He never gives his own well-being a second thought, he doesn’t flinch or hesitate w/ doubt, and it can at times appear or even be reckless, but to me that kind of unwavering and committed loyalty is something to be admired. This is what a true Ride or Die is like my friends, this kinda friendship doesn’t sit back and calculate the value of the favor or measure the worth of maintaining relationships with the other, he jumps right in without question. Even if the one he’s supporting may end up being in the wrong, Juzo will stick by their side till he sees it through to the end. It’s just a matter of earning that respect lol

2. What I appreciated from Ep 1 & 2 was that Juzo doesn’t leave himself ambiguous, he makes himself known. He leaves no room for doubts on where he stands and he isn’t one to be pretentious, suck up, or put on a show for people so there’s little room to think he’s ever being fake, and I appreciate that kinda raw honesty cause in my history of playing the DR games, it’s always the ones who  couldn’t be honest w/ themselves that drove me crazy. Plus the straightforward simpletons tended to have a higher survival rate (Asahina, Hagakure, Kazuichi, Akane…I still love them all)

Randomness #1: He may be hotheaded, he may be forceful, and he may be a jerk (actually scratch that, it’s confirmed, he IS a jerk quite often), but you know what? He would be a Gryffindor. *legasp* Which means, he will stand up for something even if it means he’ll be the only one standing. He will say the facts that everyone is trying to sweep under the rug and he will not back away once he believes in a cause.

3. Tying into #2, he’d rather set an example through actions not his words….

Okay BEAR WITH ME HERE cause i know that doesn’t sound like his best point, but um….to him talk is cheap. Nothing gets done unless people move off their butts, and he is definitely in that category. He’s had enough of the idle table-talk of leaders and lipservicers -probably at the cost of a lotta civilian lives- to a point of cynicism, even if it means directing it to his alma mater and the staff that once took care of him during his time as a student. Which might explain why he has no issue disrespecting even Tengan, to him Munakata is his leader and one that he chose of his own free will. He thinks and evaluates things for himself and won’t follow just anyone like a blind sheep. But I digress.

He is a Walk the Talk kinda guy and he is one to stay true to his words. In lieu of that then, the rare times he’s not too prideful to manipulate by acting, is if it’ll protect someone. And with his kind of intimidating demeanor and bitter experiences, he has no difficulty in convincing anyone with his villainous show and the hateful things he spits (see above), it would be very easy to take Juzo’s spiteful words from him as truth. But as we see, that’s not necessarily so. He’ll make himself into a villain and won’t care if that’s the impression he will be remembered by, and although he claims normal kids are just subserviant cogs in a machine, those are the very people he’s been risking his neck trying to protect and save (mind you this is way before he even entered as the school security).

idk maybe i just have a thing for anti-heroes…

4.  Here’s where it starts to get fun. It’s hard to notice at first but he’s quite the dork…. This plot-klutz screws up trying to help in almost every instance we’ve seen him. Unknowingly, he instigates the very thing he is trying to investigate in Despair Arc. He probably ran into the most number of characters in the Future Arc and could’ve put a stop to Pickle Satan early on but no. And in Killer Killer, I agree that operations don’t always go as planned, which makes things more realistic, but with how intricate he made his plan for this operation and for the amount of preparation he did to all just screw up in an over the top way….This is some Oedipal level shit. Munakata and Sakakura are reminding me of all those tragic hero plays I had to read in Greek class. Imagine if he was the main character in any of the DR stories…With his luck it’d turn into a comedy.

Juzo….you’re talking about around 50,000 punches there at least,  sweetie…..;;

As if they’ll just listen….(he does this again in Ep 5 actually…lol)

As people have stated, he has a short temper and it’s a bit hilarious when his own words come back to bite him xD

He has the pettiness of a 5 year old….See that girl’s face? That’s us….the readers. We’re so done with this overgrown punching man-child.

Why u wear no suit?!?!?! You’re an executive!! Sigh…..I know it’s not like the Future Foundation has a dress code but since a majority of everyone else at least attempts to dress professionally you would think that he, as a senior member, should try to set an example….But then again, that wouldn’t be very Juzo-style

And regarding that operation in Killer Killer. His methods are a bit….eccentric to the extreme. I just picture it like one of those kids who wants to make a racecar track and then gets carried away by their excitement and gets too into it, ambitiously adding in death drops and fire rings…hence the Naegi corpse. And also. Who would put one of their own subordinates as a hostage? Even if one of them already agreed to the plan beforehand?? But then again, how often is a serial killer suspect your own subordinate….sigh, how this man goes about things in a straightforward way…it’s the same as a typical shonen manga protagonist……

Randomness #2: That voice. And, is it weird that his personality reminds me of Aomine?? I can’t help it since they share the same voice actor.  I feel it would still be in character for him to say “the only one who can beat me is Munakata me” x)

5. However!!  He may not be the brainiest guy but by no means is he a complete dunce. He’s the head of the 6th branch (and as far as I can tell, this is the only policing division). He’s in a powerful leadership position which means he has the ability to assess situations, evaluate/predict people, calculate best possible outcomes, and plan successful operations. He studies his targets (he would be one heckuva method actor), takes the time to know the name of even the newest of his recruits, and can ensure safe backup plans. He must be competent to at least some degree cause him/his team were the first to correctly identify who Killer Killer is and Sakakura was even shrewd enough to see his usefulness as a future asset.

6. He is tough for a reason. He has probably gone through a lot and seen a lot. I think him and Munakata have been conditioned to a point where they can’t show remorse in a typical sympathetic response. It doesn’t mean that they’re remorseless but if someone is exposed to a high number of deaths long enough, it will eventually strain their emotional and mental conditions and/or they’ll grow used to it. They can’t grieve for every life lost because of the sheer number. Showing any sort of vulnerability is a weakness and they’ve been taught that it will be taken advantage of (which I guess kinda explains how they were the way they were in the beginning of Future Arc). Hence, the most efficient thing they’ve learned to do is eliminate any sources of problems before it can come back to bite them and cue the witch hunt for the traitor. Their paranoia is built from years of suffering but someone is taking advantage of that now and turning it against them so FF will tear themselves apart from within.

Randomness #3: It’s not often you come across a guy with pink eyes…and no, not the medical condition. But idk, isn’t there some personality trope about males who have a fuschia hue (and green hair)? Although I much prefer his color scheme in Mirai hen than the jarring color contrast he is in Zetsubou, you gotta admit that it’s something unique. He’s speecial~

7. He works hard. To the point where even his subordinate cracks under the workload and environment. But is he just shoving everything off on his underlings? No, in fact he takes on the riskiest role of paying an imposter serial killer right into a hot spot nest of Despairs. Now part of that probably had to do with physical qualifications and mental durability so maybe others could’ve been suited for the job, but i also feel like he’s a “if you want it done right do it yourself” kinda guy.  It’s not that he’s looking down on his subordinates but rather that’s just how passionate he is about his job as a future foundation member and saving people…

8. Character Interpretation: When he DOES manage to succeed (cause I’m sure it’s happened a multitude of times), he’s not one to stay long enough to be praised a hero. He’ll go right back out in the field. He has a thankless job but it’s a necessary one. Based on the division profiles, it looks like Juzo’s division is the only real policing division. He’s not the one in charge of recovery, he’s not the one in charge of rehabilitation or medicine or technology, his job is to suppress the violence, which requires…..force. He’s the one who needs to be out in the field and, so to speak, be the wildfire to clear out the area of Despairs before damage control can kick in.

People will probably be more scared than thankful of this guy, but to be honest, if i was in a world ending apocalypse facing against killers whose numbers put me severely against the odds, having someone like Sakakura would be really reassuring. (Sorry Naegi, right now your best use in an apocalypse attack would probably be the sacrificial lamb. It’s okay, you have SHSL Luck, I know you’ll survive).

Randomness #4: Tend to get cold easily? Then here’s your perfect portable heater. He is an athlete which means good blood circulation which means warm body temperature. the dude has like a tank top on for pete’s sake. You could cuddle this human furnace or at the very least steal his jacket.

“Well he’s the one who pushed Hinata over the edge into becoming Izuru.” “If it weren’t for him Bandai would still be alive, countless other ppl would still be alive etc etc…” These points and many others have already been very adeptly answered by other DR fans here and the point of my post isn’t to debate, just appreciate, but! It brought up something else I can appreciate about Juzo as a character in a fictional story. And so, in answer to those, I call it, the *drumroll*

Komaeda logic: Well also, then vice versa. If we didn’t have someone like Juzo then where would our protagonists be?? If we didn’t have someone stirring the pot (albeit accidentally) then how long would it have taken for this war to end? Which would mean more innocent people getting killed or converted to becoming Despairs and just overall more suffering for the world as a whole. Yes the way he goes about trying to help is messy and violent (unnecessarily at times) but in a way then, Juzo has helped expedite this ultimate showdown between hope and despair as well.

Randomness #5: And if you take him to any fair or carnival imagine all the giant stuffed dolls he could win for you!!!! The punching bag games are obviously a no brainer but the baseball throwing game? the force of his throw could probably knock out the whole can pyramid. the balloon dart game? One dart will probably cause a mini  sonic boom and pop all the surrounding ones. Take your pick but make sure you have room in the car to take all the big fluffies home.

I’m pretty sure as we go further into the story we’ll get more background/character development for Juzo and I know some ppl might have a (slight) change of heart but that most might still dislike him or find him unforgivable even after it. But that’s okay! In the DR series, hardly any character will ever fully redeem themselves in a nice full resolution cause that’s human nature. You get the heroic, the faulty, the villain and mix it all together and it’ll still leave a strange aftertaste in your mouth. That’s the fun of characters.

If you made it through to this end, thanks for reading!!
