idea of being saved

🎶 you raise me uuuuup 🎶

The whole “Lucius was abusive with Draco” thing has always been so funny to me. Really, I don’t get how people are able to believe something so silly.

Seriously, guys, wake the fuck up, if Lucius had been abusive with his son, he wouldn’t have been a part of the series. You know why? Because Narcissa “If you attack my son again I shall ensure that is the last thing you ever do” Malfoy would have killed him ten times in a row.

Please consider: The Avengers being called out, Tony’s suit failing, Tony grabbing a weapon off the enemy and protecting himself with that as Steve and Bucky make their ways over to give him backup. The battle being won. Them laughing together. Tony walking over to see to his armor.

The Big Bad having one last move. The ground cracking open.

Steve and Bucky struggling to keep their footing, turning to face the baddie, but then the shrill scream of “STEVE” cutting through the air. Turning. The suit gone, fallen between the cracks. Tony clinging to the edge of the broken street, scrambling for it, slipping backward.

Steve running for him, hand reaching out, for a moment unable to tell whether it’s Tony’s hand or Bucky’s he’s trying to grab.

Tony reaching back for him, but not enough. Steve having to watch as Tony slips through his fingers just like Bucky did all those years ago.

Bucky having to grab Steve to keep him from throwing himself down after Tony. Steve screaming, struggling to crawl into the hole Tony had fallen down.

(Thor diving to get Tony. Thor bringing Tony back up, shaken but no worse for wear. Steve continuing to scream for Tony until someone finally, mercifully, tranquilizes him.)

((Steve screaming when he wakes up. Bucky realizing that perhaps his fall affected Steve more than he thought.))

(((Tony curling up in bed with Steve as he cries and cries because the Serum was supposed to fix him, help him save people. Being unable to save two of the people he loves most dearly anyway.)))

All right so in the wake of that new KH3 trailer I’m seeing an increase in confusion among fans re: how it’s possible for Sora and Roxas (and, by extension, Ventus) to exist at the same time. Because I just love tl;dring more than anything - plus helping people out is nice too - let’s review:

  • Roxas was born during KH1 when Sora turned the Keyblade on himself and removed his heart. Unlike most Nobodies, Sora himself didn’t become a Nobody, but produced a separate, physical individual entirely different from himself. Roxas, at the time of his creation, was an empty body with no heart.
  • At the end of Chain of Memories, Namine has to take Sora’s memories apart and put them back together, a process that takes months to complete. As explained by Namine during 358/2 Days, some of these memories find their way into Roxas, presumably having naturally gravitated to him since he’s a part of Sora. (Note that this, going by the calendar in Days, occurs after Roxas comes out of Zombie Mode and starts developing a personality. Sora’s memories are extra, not a core piece of his personality/existence.)
  • From Roxas, some of Sora’s memories find their way into Xion because of her ability to copy Roxas.
  • As also explained by Namine and Riku, Xion contains Sora’s most precious memories: Kairi. Without them, he can’t wake up. Namine says that the “best” solution is for both Roxas and Xion to die since they’re “fighting so hard to be their own people” and the memories can’t be taken back from them any other way. (And this is just my speculation here, but I imagine Roxas needed to go primarily because he could continue to threaten Sora as an unintentional conduit for those memories to escape into someone else again - a second Xion, so to speak, if Xemnas went that far.)
  • After Xion and Roxas return to Sora, his memory is completed and he wakes.

Prior to Sora’s memory being scrambled by Namine, Roxas was no “threat” to him. He was his own separate person. It was because he was unfortunately caught up in the middle of everything that he had to return to Sora, in order to complete the latter’s memory. Thus, if Roxas were recreated (by whatever means), he shouldn’t take any of Sora’s memory because Sora’s memory is intact now. And since Roxas grew his own heart, he’s now a heart inside of Sora’s with his own emotions and memories; recreating him isn’t necessarily a matter of creating an entirely new person again, but freeing his heart (and giving him a body, however that’s going to work, which also applies to Xion and Namine and presumably Terra and Eraqus, as well, if you want to get into all that).

So, really, there should be no co-existence issues between Roxas and Sora in the future - or, better put, there’s definitely room in the established lore for the possibility of their co-existence. Granted, I’m sure it won’t be a simple matter (hence Xemnas’ suggestion) but when thought out alongside all the past indications that Roxas will be saved, it’s definitely likely.

As for Ven: for some reason there’s even more skepticism that Ven and Roxas could co-exist than there is for Sora and Roxas. Roxas is arguably more Sora than he is Ven; Roxas shared a lot of Sora’s memories, rejoined with him directly, and even told Sora in DDD “You’re me.” …And yet it’s now entirely plausible that they can co-exist. There’s no more of a connection between Roxas and Ven than there is Roxas and Sora - except that they share the same face, which really means nothing - so if Roxas and Sora can exist at the same time, Roxas and Ven most certainly can, as well.

so shhh sshhhhh enough of this “Ven and Roxas will merge into one person” nonsense we will have both precious children alive and awake and safe or so help me

Jack decided that Timmy needs to have the same brand on the face too and Tim needed some help to cope with the pain and the only ones who never fail to help him would be the DigiJacks

Unfortunately, they couldn’t do anything. Tim knows he need to let it scar unless he want Jack to personally off him (or worse, brand him again).

At least the DigiJacks would only need to be programmed to have the same scar, right? That comforted Timtams a bit.

hc tho: Besides being manually called, the DigiJacks automatically appears whenever Timtams is in terrible pain. But somehow the programming got messed up a bit and they’ll also appear whenever Timtam is in distress or if he’s emotionally hurt instead of just physically.

“Like I came to you, begging to cook meth. Hey, nerdiest old dude I know, wanna come cook crystal? Please. I’d ask my diaper-wearing granny, but her wheelchair wouldn’t fit in the RV.”

I just love the idea of Bakugo being like…really aggressively nice to Kirishima, especially after he saved him.

Kirishima falls asleep in class and doesn’t wake up for the bell, Bakugo comes over and slams his hands down on the table “WAKE THE FUCK UP YOU’LL HURT YOUR NECK IF YOU SLEEP LIKE THAT”

Kirishima forget his notes, Bakugo holds his out with a death glare, “WELL SINCE YOUR SUCH A DUMB FUCK TAKE A LOOK AT MY DAMN NOTES BUT YOU BETTER FUCKING GIVE THEM BACK”

Kirishima comes in with bags under his eyes, Bakugo grabs his cheeks roughly, “YOU NEED AT LEAST NINE HOURS OF SLEEP ASSHOLE WHAT IF YOU FUCKING COLLAPSE ON THE FIELD”

Can you imagine if an internet connection was established between different worlds and suddenly people from different universes could communicate with each other

Someone makes a post complaining about how “an asshole at work today didn’t trim his dragon’s claws and now the floor is scratched” and someone else is like WAIT YOUR WORLD HAS DRAGONS EXPLAIN and OP ends up explaining what he sees as his boring everyday dragon job to all these strangers who think it’s the coolest thing ever

An elf from your average high fantasy world chats with a robot from a sci-fi universe and discovers that it doesn’t matter that he’s horrible with a bow and arrow because it turns out he’s really good at this thing called astrophysics

“What do you mean your people are suffering because the king got killed and everything’s falling apart? Here, I’ll send you info about the basics of our different governments. Go restructure your economy.”

The blending of different cultures. The discussion of different types of magic. Ideas about fusing science and magic. The sharing of technologies. Lives being saved because zombie-apocalypse-world is giving nuclear-apocalypse world survival tips or that one centaur told an alien about a new medical treatment.

inter-dimensional social media

I just find it funny how people complained about Barry being all about his black family during Flashpoint, and then changed it back because they were suffering and his future black brother-in-law was dying.

It tickles me that people think he was self-centred for comforting the black man who raised him because his daughter will die soon, instead of being on of the team of men comforting a woman he met two years ago.

And I find it utterly, completely, side-splittingly hilarious that the idea of Barry Allen being 100% devoted to doing whatever it takes to save his black fiancee from being murdered is making people hate him, call him the most selfish man alive, and declare that he’s no longer a hero. Which is funny, because I actually thought that giving up your happiness, comforting people, and trying to save them actually…made you a hero?

Idk, I just find it funny, I suppose.

Fantasy AU: Naga Izuku

I recently looked up some things about naga and idk I just think that they’re really cool and I wanted to make Izuku into one XD

-Shouto and Katsuki are already in an established relationship before they meet Izuku. Izuku actaully scares them in the forest one day, not meaning to, but wanting to see humans up close. Everyone usually runs away from him, so he tries to hide, but he’s kinda bad at it? He tries to get too close and they hear them, then they SEE him, and very nearly have a stroke.

-While Katsuki initially wants to get the hell out of there, Shouto stays. Something about the way Izuku looks at them makes him stop. Izuku is shy, and apologetic, and is asking THEM not to hurt HIM. So Shouto doesn’t leave; he introduces himself and becomes quickly fascinated by Izuku.

-Izuku is a naga, a half-snake half-human being. He looks pretty normal from the waist up. But he has no legs. His body dissolves into dark green scales and a long, thick tail. He has clawed fingernails, but tries to file them because he doesn’t wanna accidentally hurt someone. He has retractable fangs too, and narrow pupils. Despite all the strength and power he has with all of these traits, he’s a quiet soul and really just wants to become close to humans.

-Katsuki thinks that Shouto is insane for even attempting to talk to this…thing. But he can hardly just ditch him. So he stays too.

-They end up talking for a long time that day. Even Katsuki can’t help but get into the conversation. There’s so much they don’t know about Izuku’s kind and so much that Izuku doesn’t know about theirs. It’s endearing to see how his face lights up when they ask a question or mumbles little things to himself to remember later. When they finally leave, they promise to visit him again.

-They start visiting nearly every day. Izuku shows them different things he can do, climbing trees with his snake’s body draped around the branches and showing off his fangs. Shouto brings him human clothes as a gift and Izuku loves trying on hoodies and shirts and such. He even grabs a long sock and stretches it over the end of his tail. (It doesnt fit at all and hangs off the end, but it’s adorable)

-Katsuki pretends that it’s a huge burden to be dragged along with Shouto to these meetings of theirs. But he always goes. He even brings paint with him one day and Izuku lets him paint savagely beautiful designs on his scales. Shouto didn’t even know Katsuki was that talented until he watched him do it.

-They begin to realize that there’s something more between them when the gang is jumped by mountain lion. Katsuki was ahead on the trail, too far away to do anything when the lion leaped out onto the path toward Shouto. Shouto had fallen onto his back and was sure he was about to die, the lion stalking toward him, growling. It lunged at him. But in midair, a great tail swept down and knocked it to the ground.

-Shouto was shocked to see Izuku throw himself between him and the lion, body curling and looping up into the air threateningly. The lion hissed at him, jaws wide and challenging. Izuku snarled right back, looking fiercer than they’d ever seen him; fangs out and glistening, body undulating to make himself look bigger. He scared off the lion in the span of a second.

-The minute it was gone, he was back to their worried little Izuku, dropping down beside Katsuki as they knelt over Shouto. “Are you okay? Did it hurt you? I’m so so sorry, I didn’t know there were any lions around here.”

-From that moment on, Shouto is smitten. The fact that Izuku would place himself in danger for him means so much. When he talks to Katsuki about it, he’s surprised by how much he was affected too. He may not talk about it as much, but Katsuki had felt that horrible twist in his chest when Shouto was in danger, like he was about to watch a car wreck, watch someone he loved taken from him. He felt that same twist when Izuku placed himself in harm’s way. He can’t ignore it.

-When they finally mention all of this to Izuku, he is absolutely elated. He’s had a secret crush on these two for so long, to the extent that he’d even say he was in love. He has fears of course. He’s not human, they are, they can hardly be seen in public together… But Katsuki insists that he doesn’t care about all that at all. Shouto says they can be careful, they can make it work. It’s worth it.

-So they decide to give it a chance.

Nygmobblepot what if

Okay, I’m hoping for some big battle against the Court of Owls at the end of the season that everyone gets involved in

And it’ll mean Eddie and Ozzie calling a temporary truce to their personal antagonism in order to survive the onslaught of Court assassins being sent after them (or whatever)

Then, during an ‘eye of the storm’ moment when they are hiding and unsure of their survival, they should take the time for a bit of emotional honesty. Which will be all serious and stuff - Eddie confessing he is glad Oswald survived and he is sorry he tried to kill him and Ozzie was right about them needing each other and stuff. And Ozzie would confess he still loves Ed and all that jazz

But MOST IMPORTANTLY it would include something like -

OSWALD [soft, genuine]: I’m sorry I killed Isabella.

EDWARD [instinctive, exasperated]: ISABELL-! Oh. Yes. That’s. Right, um, thank you…

Jon the player? Jon the deceiver?

There has been a lot of discussion about the ‘Undercover Lover theory’ on the Jonsa tag and I want to add to this discussion and give some of my thoughts on it. Many people have said that ‘Undercover lover theory’ would make Jon a very mean person and that this would not fit to a ‘hero’. I think to really judge what Jon is doing we must look at his agenda, his knowledge and his likely plans. Please note, that for the sake of the argument, I take the Undercover lover theory to be true.

note: this is for Femslash February, but also a belated present for the lovely @larvesta!! Sorry this is literally months after I promised you this!)

Alya has always loved superheroes. At six, she opened up a comic book for the first time and fell in love with the idea of normal people being granted exceptional powers to save fellow citizens from the dastardly deeds of villains terrorizing the city.

Only her little sisters know of her well loved fantasy that someday real superheroes will show up in Paris, and that she dreams of being the Parisian answer to Lois Lane, first on the scene and first to report the heroic deeds of these masked heroes.

And maybe in another life, she is. But the funny thing about fate is that it never quite works out the way you plan it, and though Alya had always hoped that superheroes would come into her life, she never thought she would be one herself.

But a funny little black creature that looks like a cat but calls himself a kwami named Plagg changes all that. When he tells her that putting on that ring and yelling transformez moi will transform her into Chat Noire, a heroine in her own right, Alya decides to accept this new and unexpected path, though she has no idea where it will lead her.

Alya isn’t surprised by the fact that being Chat Noire leads her to public recognition that follows her wherever she goes- merchandise, interviews, children wearing costumes on the street. If anything, she’s pleased by it, and by the irony that she is now the subject of interviews, rather than being the one holding the microphone.

Neither is she surprised by the magical powers of destruction that come along with the suit. If someone asked her, she would probably choose some other kind of power..perhaps something with disguises, or flying, but she’s not about to question why Plagg chose her or her destiny as a hero.

What does surprise Alya is how hard she falls for Ladybug.

Alya has always had a bit of an inkling that she like girls. She likes boys too, but it takes all of one battle against an akuma for her to realize that she’s fallen hook, line, and sinker for her new superhero partner, and boy, is she a goner.

Ladybug is dazzling, spontaneous, and intelligent. She’s flirtatious, vivacious, quick to react, and possibly the most beautiful girl that Alya has ever seen. They get along almost immediately, falling into a flirtatious simpatico that skirts between the lines of friendship and something more.

A dangerous intimacy, perhaps, but Alya can’t resist teasing her partner and pulling her proverbial tail when they’re playing around. In the evenings, there’s nowhere she’d rather be than sitting on a rooftop next to Ladybug, arms wrapped around her shoulders as they giggle and gossip.

Chat Noire may be the one with the cat-inspired alter ego, but she finds that Ladybug is the tactile one, winding her arms around her and burying her face into her chest when she feels particularly needy.

One day, Alya suddenly wonders what Ladybug’s hair would look like loose, cascading over her shoulders instead of in those tightly bound ponytails, so similar to those that Marinette wears everyday.

She ponders the thought and considers asking Marinette to wear her hair loose sometime; when she thinks about it, the two of them look similar enough.

The more she thinks about it, the more disquieting it is; the fact that both of her best friends look so similar to each other, the shared intimacy, the stories about a boy that used to feature heavily in their conversation at the beginning, but have slowly diminished over time, to the point where he is now only mentioned in passing, and only in a quietly fond way that signals no more than friendship.

The way they have the blue eyes- and the same smile. The same constellation of freckles scattered across the bridge of their nose.

Alya is beginning to suspect, perhaps, that there is more to Ladybug and Marinette than meets the eye. Perhaps it’s the reporter’s instinct in her that never died, but now that’s she’s making connections, she can’t stop. And the more she thinks about it, the more obvious it becomes.

But as always, secrets exist for a reason, and if Plagg doesn’t want her to share her identity, she doesn’t have to. Alya understands the need for patience. In superhero stories, the truth is always revealed in the end, and at the right time.

And if waiting means that she can kiss Ladybug on patrol until the sun comes up in the evenings and watch Marinette turn bright red in the mornings when she walks into the classroom and someone asks her how she can look so exhausted and ecstatic at the same time, well-

Alya is willing to wait.

Just imagine this:
Clay runs into Hannah before she leaves school after making the 13th tape and tells her everything he wanted to say. They go to Monets and Hannah opens up to him saying how hurt she is on the inside and Clay does everything he can to help. Clay and Hannah start dating and thing go great just like they imagined. They stay together for years until they get married and have kids. One day Clay finds the tapes that Hannah kept as a reminder of the lowest point in her life. Clay listens to them all and breaks down because he couldn’t never fully understand her before and he decides to ask Hannah about them. Hannah tells Clay that she was ready to kill herself that night they got together, but she didn’t because of him. He showed her that she had value in the world and she could be so much more than what people said about her. This opens all the old wounds Hannah has and she breaks down thinking about it all again, but she sees it from the parent point too. She thinks about her own daughter and imagines her going though the same things and realizes just how much damage she would’ve done, how many people she would’ve destroyed. She and Clay then go on to be anti-suicide activist, Hannah tells her story and they start a organization to help kids all over the country. Then the next year on their anniversary Clay gives Hannah a present, 13 tapes. These tapes are the opposite of the old, they are full of love, and hope, and sincerity, not pain, and resentment, and sadness like the originals. These are the 13 reasons why Clay loves Hannah and how she saves him from himself. They represent how they each saved each other, Clay from himself and Hannah from a cruel world.

This is how I would loved the story to end I completely understand why the author had it end like he did but I just there was too much left open. I like to think that they could be happy and save each other. I’m in no way saying that Hannah needed a man to save her or anything sexist like that, she needed Clay specifically to help her see her worth, not validate it. I also like to think that Hannah helped Clay overcome his anxiety and being trapped in his own mind. I love the idea of them being there for each other in every way and especially saving each other’s lives. I think that everyone needs a hero in their life and that theirs was ultimately each other instead of a martyr or a reason like they actually were. I think I understand the original points of the story: suicide shouldn’t be an option, how it hurts so many other people, how everything you do can have repercussions and you’ll never know how they will affect others, and that once you commit to taking your own life there’s no going back and it shouldn’t be taken lightly. I personally like the idea of showing that no matter what, things can get better and never give up. I know it’s cliché and boring and it’s been done before but I’m hopeless romantic, sue me.
