In 2007, cinema artist, John Alvin (1949-2008), was commissioned to imagine what a movie one-sheet might look like for Chuck Jones’s “What’s Opera, Doc?”

Alvin, known for creating such iconic movie posters such as “Blazing Saddles”, “Blade Runner”, and “The Lion King”, obliged, and the results, as you can see, are rather spectacular.

In honor of our 250th episode, we are celebrating YOU, our phenomenal fans, with a very special contest

THE CONTEST

While shooting Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, we decided to amuse ourselves by recreating iconic movie posters in front of a green screen. So we’re adding a whole new level of fun to #TGIT by releasing our favorite pics on Twitter during TONIGHT’S (Oct 22nd) west coast broadcast.

Your mission is to choose a photo and make it your own by filling in the background. Entries must be received by Sunday (Oct 26th) at 8PM PST for the the chief herself, Chandra Wilson, to judge.

Two winners will be revealed during #TGIT on Oct 29th. They will receive an 11x15 print of their winning entry signed by the whole cast AND will have their winning entry posted on every cast member’s Twitter feed!

TWO WAYS TO WIN!

The Klein Crown goes to the most accurate recreation of the original movie poster (we’ll include clues to help you guess). Every detail counts! Just like in surgery!

The Bohkee Medal of Honor is for the most creative take on the original image. You can do whatever you’d like to the picture. The sky is the limit! Just keep our faces and bodies intact.

THE RULES

Contestants can change anything they want about the photos except faces and bodies.

You must submit your photo through Twitter using #GA250GreenScreenChallenge or your photo will not be seen. Want to submit multiple entries? Go for it!

REMEMBER!

Follow the whole cast in order to participate. You will miss key pictures if you aren’t following all of us:
