iceni tribe

Boudicca (60/61 CE) a military history of the Iceni tribe’s revolt by Historia Civilis

A model covered in Wode perfume by Boudicca

The scent is inspired by Boudicca (also known as Boadicea), Queen of the Iceni tribe. She and her warriors wore a cobalt blue paint on their skin, which gave them a ferocious and mythical look when advancing into battle. When finally defeated by her longtime enemies, the Romans, Boudicca chose to end her life by swallowing hemlock - an extract of which is actually included in the perfume.
