iced lightning

“Disturb not the harmony of fire, ice or lightning,
lest these titans wreak destruction upon the world in which they clash.
Though the water’s great guardian shall arise to quell the fighting,
alone its song will fail, and thus the Earth shall turn to ash.
O Chosen One, into thine hands bring together all three.
Their treasures combined tame the Beast of the Sea.”

After getting compliments on my hatchery header, I decided to make some for all the Flights (mine is Nature). I’m sure that someone has done something like this but I wanted to give it a shot myself because I love the idea of familiars guarding nests. Feel free to use for whatever.

Chapter 7 of Embers on Ice Sheets is up!!

I wanted to draw my favorite scene… but I don’t like coloring so I just did lighting effect stuff. Anyways here it is and I should probably go to sleep now but I really wanna work on Chapter 8.

INTJ: You are the coldest shard of ice, but also the hottest flash of lightning. You are the sofest velvet in a rose petal, and also the sharpest thorns underneath. You’re the terrifying depth to the ocean, and yet you are also the sun twinkling on the waves. You may be the sultriest summer day, but often you choose to be the quiet coldness of a winter morning. You are the calmest logic and also the roil of blood boiling under your skin. Of all these things, INTJ, you are a Paradox.

Same players and campaign as Blight-happy Catfolk Druid, except we’re now running away from the thousands of orcs. I’m still thinking about my previous use of Blight and starting to question whether I can handle this power.

Me, OOC: Now if I kill this Orc King guy, how will the orcs react?
DM: Make a history or insight check.
Me: History… Aww. Nat1.
DM: You believe that in the past orcs have been known to bake brownies and apologize to people they’ve attacked after their leader is killed.
Me: Right. So. I probably shouldn’t kill this guy then but I believe it’s the best plan so as soon as he gets close enough I’m gonna blast him with Blight. 8d8 necrotic, and then 9d8 since that’s my last level 4 slot. If that doesn’t kill him I can resort to Call Lightning.
Me, IC: I can do this. I’m gonna have so many orc friends.
