Quantum Jump by smarmsi (1/1 | 2,158 | Not Rated)

noun: 1. A huge, often sudden, increase or change in something.

A video of Lance McClain skating Keith Kogane’s FS program goes viral, ten months after the best night of Keith’s life.

Out of His Element by NovaGlitch (1/1 | 3,747 | Teen and Up)

“I bet I could do a jump.”

“I bet you’ll land on your ass.”

“I will not.” Keith gives him a look. “I mean, I might not. I could try.”

“And make me the winner of the game? Who am I to stop you then? Go on then.” Keith jabs, knowing full well that that had gotten to him. Lance is silent, so Keith turns to look at him.

There’s confidence written all over his face, his jaw is set and he’s got his game-face on.

This isn’t going to be good.

Figure skating AU
Keith and Lance are rivals on the ice but could one performance change that?

(@stripespolkadots thank you for the rec, lovely <3)

Once upon a time, two Canadian nerds decided to start a figure skating au about their two space sons and their wonderful misfit friends. Ten pages of headcanons later we finally put electronic pen to electronic paper and created this monstrosity.
This multi-chapter fic chronicles the lives of a hockey player named Keith who gets forcibly enlisted into figure skating lessons by his brother, Shiro, to “work on his footwork”. There he meets a pompous - yet talented - figure skater named Lance and gets swept away by both the sport and the skater.

Enjoy the ride because it’s only just started.

New element in Yuri Plisetsky’s free skate program. It’s called: “Jump and Kiss”

find another music artist who constantly tweets sharing different aspects of their lives, does lives while gaming, dancing, eating, putting masks on their faces, laying on a bed and telling childhood stories, logs about the way they feel and insecurities, uploads videos on youtube; either it’s the backstage of their work or playing hide&seek in a hotel room, gives you content where they organize their little olympics, playing in a pool, riding quads, ice skating, bowling, bungee jumping and way more, makes up their own skits dressing up as priest or police officer, finds every opportunity such as christmas and halloween to celebrate with the fans, records reality shows, summer packages and memory sets every year so they can visit every place all around the world for the first time with their fans and AFTER ALL! as a music group creates amazing music which gives you strength and energy everyday, admirable and raw lyrics flowing from their hearts, real performers giving their best either if it’s singing or dancing, working neglecting sleep, doing covers and special choreographies, producing songs and uploading all of this on a fucking party between them and their fans which lasts half a month only to celebrate their anniversary every year? a group which invites their fans to pajama party? a group of people who could die for each other? a group which every time receving an award says their fans name as the first word because they appreciate and love their fans so much? and they do everything to make them happy? cause i found one and i’m so lucky

Did you know you can do jumps on roller skates?! Apparently artistic roller skating jumps are harder than ice skating jumps because “the ice allows the skater to draw a deep, solid edge to push off from when performing jumps such as a lutz or an axel.” (Thanks, Wikipedia!) Anyway, this is a triple axel on roller skates! 😍

{Days 21 & 22/100 of Productivity}

I couldn’t post yesterday because I didn’t have time to do any studying…

Today though I’ve finally got off my ass (after four days) and pushed through the tiredness. I guess I’d just exhausted myself from not stopping since like November. I went ice skating and improved some jumps, then came home and had a three hour nap (nice). Got to 8pm and I started contemplating whether I should have another day off or just get on with it. So here I am. Getting on with it with my cup of double-strength tea in hand.

Studyblrs get real come at me

Sun Shower

In which you spend a pleasant spring date with Wonho.

1154 Words

The day was perfect. It was exactly what a spring day should be like: bluest of skies, gentlest of breezes, puffiest white clouds, and a date with Wonho.

After an exhausting week, you’d both planned for a date on a Sunday. Wonho liked Sundays. He said it was both a beginning and an end depending on how you looked at it. According to him, there was no better way to ending and beginning a week than by being in each other’s company.

Before Wonho, Sundays had just been like any other day of the week. Sometimes you worked, sometimes you didn’t. Now, Sunday was Wonho day. It had been like that for the better part of a year.

Wonho loved to do things. He would wake you up early, encourage you to go on jogs with him and then treat you to a delicious breakfast. At first, Wonho had carried a bag with a change of clothes to change into after jogging, but now, half of your closet was filled with his stuff. You weren’t living together, but he did spend a lot of time at your place during the weekends, especially because he shared his place with two of his friends.

You’d met Wonho while trying to learn how to ice skate. Your friends had all planned the day, disregarding the fact that you had never once in your life set foot in an ice rink. The prospect of falling on hard ice and breaking a bone terrified you. And you had been in the process of doing just that when Wonho had skated up to you and practically saved your life—or, well, at least kept you from breaking a wrist and your neck.

He’d ended up falling with you. Opening your eyes to the sight of someone like Wonho, pale skinned, platinum haired, and with the body and face of a demi-god—well, you were sure you had cracked your head open. You tried apologizing and leaving the ice rink, but Wonho would have none of it.

He spent the better part of two hours trying to teach you how to skate. At one point, you suggested that maybe ice skating just wasn’t for you. Wonho had taken great offense at this, muttering that you had to learn because “I would like to come back here on a date with you.”

Ten months later, you’d been ice skating, hiking, swimming, dancing, and bungee jumping. Wonho’s fear of heights had crippled him from doing things that he wanted to do, such as rock climbing, so he’d attempted to rid himself of that phobia once and for all. Seeing him weep in honest fear and then go through with the challenge had made your heart swell.

But outdoor and athletic activities were not the only things Wonho did with you. He took you to watch the movies you wanted to watch, held your hand across the table at cafes, baked you cookies and crème brûlée, started your own private book club of two, and was simply the best boyfriend in the world.

Today, he had suggested a picnic, a day under the vast blue spring sky to soak up some sun. You felt Wonho’s touch on your jawline, a soft caress that traced the curve of your neck. Opening your eyes, you smiled down at him, running your fingers through his hair. His dark roots had started to show, but the blue tinge on the ends remained vibrant, a striking contrast that made you breathless.

A soft smile appeared on his face. He shifted his head, settling comfortably on your lap. “What are you thinking about?”

Wonho’s ears turned pink and his smile consumed his whole face. You loved it when he smiled like that, pure and innocent and lovely. He pushed himself up on his elbows. You met him halfway in a simple yet charged kiss.

“Am I the best boyfriend you’ve ever had?”

“You’re the best boyfriend I’ve ever had.”

Wonho laughed, nudging you with his shoulder. “Am I really?”

You nudged him back, laughing as you took his face in your hands, squeezing his cheeks. “You’re the best boyfriend I’ve ever had.”

Wonho’s cheekbones were in the brink of exploding, his smile wider than wide.

Hearing such things made Wonho happy. It made you happy to see him smile, so you told him everything he wanted to hear and more. You lived for the moment in which Wonho’s grin would spread so wide it seemed almost painful. He would giggle and hide his face. This time, he turned on his side, hugging your waist, and burying his face in your stomach.

You laughed, stroking his hair and neck. Wonho squeezed you and you laughed again. For such a massive man, he really was soft and adorable.

A big, fat, cold raindrop landed on his bare shoulder, making him jump. He looked up as you wiped it away.

“Was that rain?”

The sky seemed mostly clear and the sun still shone, but there were some clouds that had turned dark in mere seconds. You both tried to read the weather, wondering if it had been a fluke or if maybe a sudden spring storm had snuck up on you.

“Maybe we should pack up, just in case?”

Wonho nodded. “Good idea.”

You had just finished folding the blanket when it started pouring. You squealed at the icy touch of the raindrops on your skin, laughing as Wonho sent a flurry of colorful words and phrases. They weren’t crude, just funny, and it made you laugh even more when he hopped around, swinging his arms.

The event was a sight to behold. The sun was still shining and its light made the raindrops sparkle as they fell. Thunder clapped overhead and the rain fell harder. Wonho whooped and spun, taking your hands in his, spinning you along with him. You laughed, letting him lead you in a strange dance that was more jumping and whooping than anything else.

Wonho’s hair clung to his face, his tank top plastered against his torso. He stood with his arms and legs spread wide open, his face turned up to the heavens, eyes closed. You mimicked his pose, feeling the cool rain splash on your face, drench your clothes and stick them to your body.

Before Wonho, standing out in the rain and letting yourself get soaked, the sensation of wet fabric pressed against your skin, was not something you would have done. Neither had been ice skating or bungee jumping. Or falling in love.

You turned to look at Wonho, admiring his beautiful existence with a soft smile. He felt your eyes on him and turned to face you.

“What is it?” he grinned.

“Catch me!”

You flung yourself at him. Wonho caught you mid jump. Holding you against his body, he laughed as he spun around. You laughed too.

Sundays were Wonho day.

Tadahoney Week day 7) Free Day!!!

Victory hug on the ice! I was gonna write a minific about this for this week…but then I decided I was lazy. However, some art came to be and hey! Tadahoney Ice Skating AU, anyone?

DanversSistersWeek - Day 1 - Sisters’ Night

Every week the Danvers sisters, have a night for just them, like a sisters date night. Except for the last month, every time they organised something, they’d receive a call from the DEO, and the only other days they were free, both of them had date’s with their girlfriends. Even if it was a double date it wasn’t the same as having sometime one on one with each other.

So this week they made sure to make each other the priority, they both let Lena & Maggie know that this week if they had any free time they would be spending it with each other no matter what.

Monday went out the window, they had take out and watched a film and not 10 minutes in got a call from the DEO for an alien attack just outside the bar. The next time they went to get pizza from their favourite pizza place the used to go to as a family with Eliza and Jeremiah. They had longer together this time but not by much, half an hour and again a call from the DEO, A few dangerous aliens had escaped from the DEO so again there sister night had been taken over by aliens.

Third time lucky? It was Christmas time so they decided to go ice skating and then go for food. Kara hadn’t told Alex what they were doing yet, she wanted to surprise her.

Kara told Alex to meet her at the shopping centre. Kara was wearing her “Power to the girls” top, a pair of warm leggings, warm boots and a warm coat. The blonde saw her sister walking towards her wearing pretty much exactly the same as herself except instead of leggings she was wearing jeans and she had a different coloured coat.

“Hey Kara!” Alex ran up to her sister throwing herself into the blondes arms and hugging her tightly “Okay…okay…Ali… you’re squeezing too tight.” Alex let go and frowned “Shut up, I could never give you a hug too tight,  you have super human strength. You were just getting embarrassed and didn’t want to admit it.” Kara immediately punched her sister on the arm forgetting her strength as always “Aoww! Kara!” “Ooops.” Kara smiled feeling bad. Alex linked arms with her sister “So what are we doing?” Alex asked. Kara smiled sneakily “Kara?” Alex questioned “Okay, we’re going…Ice skating!” Kara jumped excitedly like a five year old child. “Ice skating? Kara you’ve never been Ice skating in your entire life!” “Yes I am aware… you can teach me. Now come on…” Kara smiled happily dragging her sister up the stairs to the Ice Skating rink.

Kara held onto her sister as they got themselves onto the rink. “Kara you need to hold onto the side whilst I get my balance.” Alex laugh “Oh right.” Kara grinned nervously and grabbed hold of the side “So why Ice skating?” “Well there’s a list of things I want to do before I die, human things, normal human things that you can do for fun and I don’t like sitting still for long so I thought if I make a list of things to do, it would make our sister dates more fun.” Kara smiled looking a little embarrassed. “Okay… you ready…” Alex held out her hands, Kara got her balance and grabbed her sisters hands  "Kara not so tight… or I’m going to have to have a trip to the ER.“ “Sorry.” They both laughed as the blonde loosened her grip.

Alex slowly skated backwards holding her sister up right. “Don’t let me go.” Kara stated nervously “I promise, I won’t not until you can do it on your own.” Alex continues skating backwards slowly in the circle of the rink, Kara’s feet started going faster than the rest of her body was moving “Kara calm down…slowly…” Kara took a deep breath and slowed down her skating, and slowly but surely she was beginning to get the hang of it.

Alex grinned knowing her sister could now do it on her own now but it needed to be Kara’s choice. The blonde looked up at Alex for her almost confirmation that she could do it on her own. Alex gave her the nod of approval.

Kara took a leap of faith and let go of her sisters hands “I’m right here if you need me Kara, just take it slow and you’ll be fine.” Kara smiled and went slowly but soon enough she asked her sister to move out the way amd she was speeding round that rink like no tomorrow.

When Kara skated round for like the 12th time in a row, she landed back next to her sister. “Let’s have a bet…” Kara smiled sneakily “Okay?” “Race round the rink, Best of 3, looser buys dinner for the both of us.” “Fine.” Alex replied, she knew she’d loose given how fast her sister is, but she didn’t care. At the end of the day she was having fun and just spending time with her sister with no DEO phone calls which was a dream come true.“You’re on.”

The first skate round went as smooth as anything,  Kara won. No surprise to either of them. Second round, Alex nearly fell flat on her face and Kara went so fast she nearly flew through the air. Kara won again, Last round went smooth, and again Kara won. They both got to the “Finish line” that they’d agreed on. “Ha!” Kara all but screamed. “You’re buying dinner.” Kara smiled happily dragging her sister of the rink to go get food, not before changing back their skated for their shoes.

They went to their favourite Italian. Alex laughed as Kara shoved a massive slice of pizza into her mouth “What?” Kara asked with her mouth full. “You…I don’t know how you can eat so much.” Alex laughed. Kara replied still with a mouth full of food “I am a growing girl.” Alex just laughed “Yes… Yes you are!” Alex smiled as she delicately twirled her pasta round her fork and eating it a lot more nicely than her sister would have. Alex was a clean eater  Kara was a messy eater, even in public. They got through there meal when Alex’s phone went. “Hello?…Yep… alright we’ll be right in.” Alex smiled  "DEO calls… we’ll we got through a whole afternoon and meal with no phone call I think that’s a record.“ They both laughed, they finished off their meals and Alex paid the bill and they ran off to the DEO.

The ninja decide to go ice skating...

Kai: clings to the wall the whole time slowly inching his way around the rink.
Jay: just like rollerblading he is pretty good at ice skating. enjoys going around the rink with ease.
Cole: enjoys solid ground more than the ice, but still gives it his best try. A bit better than kai, he’s able to slowly skate along with jay only occasionally losing control and sliding into the wall.
Zane: extremely good at ice skating. Can do jumps and spins with ease.
Lloyd: a fairly good skater, but spends the whole time trying to help Kai.
Nya: starts off like kai but is determined to get to Zane’s level. Often over estimates her abilities and ends up falling. Easily frustrated but learns quickly and gets really excited when she does something on the ice she wasn’t able to do before.

Ice Skating (Mikey x Reader)

Okay, so on FF.Net, I got a request for a Mikey fanfic that was really really cute where the reader is a bookworm and her and Mikey aren’t close, but they go ice skating and bond some, and I had to write this as my next Mikey fic. This can be any Michelangelo (2003, 2007, 2012, 2014, even 1987 if you’d like!)

You were sitting in your room, curled up in the corner of your bed, lost in the world of (favorite book). Donnie had told you about this book, and you were glad you listened to his book suggestion this time. Maybe you would have to check out the other books he told you about. Or you could go with Mikey’s idea, and start reading this comic book series he told you about. You were pretty sure it was about a hero named Spiderboy or something like that.

Mikey began to slowly take over your thoughts, and you had to set your book down. He was the cutest out of the turtles, and was nice company, but the two of you were drastically different. You were quite like Donnie; smart, quiet, and a bookworm. Michelangelo on the other hand was quite careless, loud, and a gamer. Nothing was wrong with that, just you two had hardly anything in common and weren’t very close, even though you had an obvious soft spot for the young ninja.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a knocking on your window. A small smile graced your lips as you walked over and opened the window for Mikey.

“Hello, Mikey,” you greeted the young mutant as he climbed in, “What brings you here?”

“Things are boring back at the lair, so I decided to go topside and I haven’t really seen us in a while, and wanted to stop by,” Mikey grinned at you.

“That’s quite sweet of you. I have been pretty lonely as of late,” you sat back down on your bed and patted the area beside you. Michelangelo sat down and looked around your room.

“Do you want to do something?” Mikey turned to you, tilting his head.

“Sure. Getting out of the house might do me some good,” you nodded in agreement.

“Lets go ice skating then!” the orange clad turtle stated excitedly and grabbed your hand. Your eyes widened, both at his suggestion and the action.

“Oh, uh… I really don’t know how to ice skate,” you blushed in embarrassment. Or were you blushing from the way you felt when Mikey grabbed your hand?

“I’ll teach you then,” Mikey held out his hand again.

“I don’t know…” you looked down, thinking it over. It would give you a chance to get out of the house. Also, you could get to bond with Mikey some more. But you sucked at anything athletic, and he would probay end up laughing at you.

“Please, (Y/N)?” Mikey pouted playfully. You gave a friendly sigh.

“Okay, let’s go,” you agreed. Mikey gave you a huge smile and before you knew it, Mikey had you in his arms, climbing out your window and jumping from building to building.

About a little less than ten minutes, you and Mikey arrived at the local ice rink. To your surprise, the place was open and no alarm went off.

“Don’t worry, (Y/N). The rink is always open in case anyone wants to come in at night and practice ice skating or hockey,” Mikey jumped behind the counter and grabbed a pair of skates.

“But, couldn’t someone rob them?” you tilted your head.

“What are you going to steal? Ice skates?” Mikey laughed. You had to admit, his laugh made you smile, “Besides, you can’t steal money or anything like that from here. That’s what’s locked up.”

“Well, I guess your right,” you took the pair of ice skates and went to put them on. Mikey jumped over the ledge of the rink and began to slide around on the ice.

Standing up, you grabbed onto the ledge around the rink and pulled yourself up. Your legs were shaky and you didn’t know what to do. Mikey slid over gracefully to you and held out his hand.

“I’ll help you,” you placed your hand in his, and he grabbed your other hand. Michelangelo slowly pulled you around the rink. You held his hands tightly, afraid to let go, fearful you might fall on your butt or face.

“This is so freaky,” you stared down at your feet.

“(Y/N), calm down. Its only your first time doing this, don’t worry about falling. I’ll catch ya,” Mikey lifted your chin up. You frantically tried to grab his arm when he let go of you.

“Don’t let go, Mikey!” you shrieked and a laugh came from him.

“I’m not! But, I do want you to try this on your own at least once,” Mikey put his hand on your back and pulled you a little closer to him. It was almost as the two of you were dancing, only on ice.

You don’t know how long the two of you had been like this, him holding you close, your hand in his. It stirred up a strange feeling inside of you, one you had never felt before. You enjoyed the feeling, however. Butterflies rose up in your stomach and you were sure your heart might break your ribs. It was strange. Did you like Mikey? Were you in love with him? Did you have a secret crush on the orange clad turtle? You didn’t know, but you didn’t care. Being with Mikey right now the way you were, you savored the moment.

“Hey, Mikey?” you looked up at the turtle and blushed as you saw he was gazing down at you with a smile.

“Yeah, (Y/N)?”

“I’m having a lot of fun,” you looked back down.

“Think you can try this on your own then?” Mikey chuckled. Your eyes widened and you shook your head.

“Nope!” you held onto Mikey tighter.

“Come on, you can do it!” Mikey led you to the ledge and let go of you. You didn’t let go of him, but he pried your arms off of him. You reached for the ledge and held onto it for dear life.

“Now try and skate over to me,” Michelangelo wasn’t that far, but the distance wasn’t comfortable.

“Do I have to?” you raised an eyebrow. The ninja nodded and you hesitantly inched away from the ledge until you let go completely. You slowly skated towards Mikey, staring down at your feet.

“I think I’m getting the hang of this!” you looked up at him and gave him a huge smile. However, that nervous feeling came over you again as he returned the smile, and you lost your balance, and headed straight for Mikey.

It all happened very quickly. One moment you were falling forward and felt arms wrap around you, the next, you were on top of Mikey, lips smooshed against his. Your eyes went wide and he simply blinked at you. You were about to pull away and apologize profusely, but before you could, Mikey placed his hand on the back of your neck and began to kiss you. For the next few seconds, you were completely frozen, yet you melted into the kiss, closing your eyes and wrapping your arms around his neck.

“We should go ice skating more often,” Mikey smirked as you pulled away to catch your breath. You nodded in agreement as he pulled you in for another kiss.

I don’t care what ppl say, this program is awesome and Elenina improved HUGELY. Look at her lines, her edges, her postures. Even the jumps are a little higher. And I fucking love that dress.
