NO TO ISIS/DAESH (may Allah curse them) ❌

▪ The Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) warned us about extremist groups that would emerge at the end of time who would call themselves Muslims but they are far from the path of Islam.

▪ Imam Ameerulmumineen (عليه السلام) narrates that the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) said ❝In these days before the end of time, the true spiritual essence of Islam would be lost, and religion, for the most part, would be reduced to a ritualistic compulsion. The clergy would be corrupt and be a source of strife during these times.

There here would appear who would be immature in thought and foolish. They would speak beautiful words but commit the more heinous of deeds. They would engage in so much prayer and fasting that the worship of the Muslims would appear insignificant in comparison. They would call to the Qur’an but would have nothing to do with it in reality. The Qur’an would not go beyond their throats, meaning they wouldn’t understand its essence at all, merely regurgitating it selectively. These people are the worst of creation.❞

📓 Bukhari

▪ Imam Ameerulmumineen (عليه السلام) also narrates that the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) described these people as having long hair and bearing black flags. Their ❝hearts will be as hard as iron❞ and that they would be companions of a state (Ashab al-Dawla. ISIS/Daesh call themselves the Islamic State.

📓 Kitaab al-Fitan

‼ ISIS/Daesh do not represent true Islam, the Islam of the Shi’a: the followers of the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) and the 12 Imams (عليهم السلام) that succeeded him. And yet Daesh make it their mission to try and exterminate the Shi’a but in the words of Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام), ❝Our Shi’a are like gold, the more they are tested, the more they shine.❞

📓 Bihar al-Anwar

May Allah (ﷻ) destroy these heathen Daesh and protect the lands and people of Iraq and Syria.

Please pray for the reappearance of our Mawla Imam Mahdi (عليه السلام). 💜

Life consists of two days, one for you one against you. So when it’s for you don’t be proud or reckless, and when it’s against you be patient, for both days are test for you.

Imam Ali (as) & the Astrologer....

Imam Ali [as] and the Astrologer There are some who are heedless with respect to reflection, reasoning and Tawakkul (Absolute Trust), and instead, turn to soothsayers and astrologers, who have cleverly started their business in order to swindle the people of their money, and that you will find every in this world.

Of course, the issue of Aulia Allah (Friends of Allah) and those, who have strived towards spiritual purification, differ vastly from the others, for their words are light (nur) and if, at times, they were to say something to someone, it would surely occur and hence such personalities should not be compared to the others.

As an example, we shall present an incident that transpired during the time of Imam Ali[as]. and his army had started out for the battle of Nahrawan against the Kharijites (Kharijite means one who rebels against religion), and having reached the city of Madain, they pitched their tents. The next morning, as they were about to commence their journey, an astrologer approached them and said: “My astrological calculations reveal that it is not in your interest to advance in this hour. Commence your journey after three hours and you shall be victorious.”

Hearing this, Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib [as] said: “Whoever upholds your words has rejected the Noble Qur'an of Allah[swt].”

Surely Allah is He with Whom is the knowledge of the hour, and He sends down the rain and He knows what is in the wombs; and no one knows what he shall earn on the tomorrow; and no one knows in what land he shall die; surely Allah is Knowing, Aware. Noble Qur'an (31:34)

Imam Ali [as] then asked: “Do you possess knowledge as to which family has taken over the reins of leadership in Chin…? Yani China..?”

The astrologer replied: “I have no knowledge.”

Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib[as] questioned: “What is that star, which when rises, stirs up lust within the camels……?”

The astrologer confessed: “I have no idea.”

Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib[as] asked: “The rise of which star stirs up passion within the cats?”

The astrologer said: “I do not know!”

Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (as) asked: “Inform me of the thing that is concealed beneath the hoofs of my horse.”

When the astrologer had once again pleaded ignorance, Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib[as] said to him: “Within the earth, below the feet of my horse, lies a jar filled with gold coins and beneath which a serpent lies asleep.”

When the place was dug up, the people witnessed that the scenario was exactly as it had been described by Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib[as].

Observing this, the astrologer was totally bewildered; Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib[as] took possession of his books, ordered them to be destroyed and then said to him: “The next time you try to attract the people towards yourself by means of astrology; I shall put you behind bars.

Rajab 💜 ☪

. The Holy Prophet () said ❝Rajab is the great month of Allah (ﷻ). No other month equals it in sanctity and merit. During this month fighting against the infidels is prohibited. Indeed Rajab is the month of Allah, Shaban is my month and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah. Surely whoever fasts one day in Rajab secures Allah’s greatest pleasure, distances himself from the wrath of Allah and one gate of Hell is closed for him.❞

. Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said ❝Allah (ﷻ)has exalted the month of Rajab and given it a stupendous sanctity taking it upon Himself to honour those who fast it. Whoever fasts a single day of the latter part of Rajab will be saved from the severity of the throes of death, from the horrors encountered after death and the torment of the grave. Whoever fasts two days of the latter part of Rajab will cross over the Sirat (bridge) with ease and whoever fasts for three days will be secure from the terrors and calamities of the Day of greatest terror and will be given immunity from Hell.

. The Holy Prophet () said ❝Whoever recites ‘la ilaha il Allah’ 1000 times during the month of Rajab, Almighty Allah (ﷻ) will decide for them 100,000 rewards and award them 100 houses in Paradise.❞

And Allah  (ﷻ) knows best.

Yesterday in Kabul, Afghanistan a suicide bomber entered a Shia Muslim mosque and blew himself up killing over 5 people and injuring many others, some in critical conditions. The attack took place on a mournful night for some, the night when Ali ibn Abu Talib, the Prophet’s cousin and son in law was killed. The attack also took place one of the nights believed to be ‘Laylatul Qadr’, the Night of Power or Destiny, which all Muslims believe to be one of the most important nights of the year. It is believed that this is the night when Angel Gabriel revealed the Quran to Prophet Muhammad. Laylatul Qadr is a celebration to commemorate the arrival of the final guidance for humans. It is a tribute to the commencement of the message revealed to mankind by their Creator, a message which shows them the way to achieve happiness in both the worlds. It is a spiritually important night to which prayers and supplications are carried out throughout the night. Worshipping on this night is said to be equal to worshiping over one thousand months. ISIS, who adhere to Wahhabism or Salafism, claimed responsibility for the attack because they believe that Shia Muslims are heretics and infidels, and are not worthy of life and should be killed. They believe killing Shia Muslims, a minority Muslim sect, or other people they regard as infidels, such as Christians or adherents of other faiths, will grant them heaven, even if it’s through a suicide bomb and killing themselves too. This is about the fifth attack targeting Shia Muslims in Ramadan of 2017. It is the 3rd attack since October targeting Shia Muslims in Afghanistan alone.

Poverty is one of the most horrible calamities, but still severer than poverty is the bodily sickness; and the sickness of soul is harsher than the bodily sickness. Plenty of wealth is one of God’s blessings but sound health is better than that; and the piety of the heart is even superior than sound health.

Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil ✊💓

Allah (ﷻ) says ‘And from among you there should be a party who invite to good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong, and these it is that shall be successful.’

📗 Al-Qur’an 3:104

. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said ❝The time when my Ummah merely count on others to enjoin right and forbid wrong, in fact, they have declared a fight against Allah (ﷻ), the Exalted.❞

📗 Bihar al-Anwar

. Imam Ameerulmumineen (عليه السلام) said ❝He who abandons forbidding what is wrong theroretically and practically (and is indifferent while seeing vices committed) is a moving corpse amongst the living.❞

📗 Bihar al-Anwar

. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said ❝To prevent a Muslim from doing an unlawful action is equivalent with Allah (ﷻ) to the performance of seventy accepted Hajj.❞

📗 Mustadrak al-Wasa’il al-Shi’a

. Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) said ❝Verily enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong is the way of the prophets (عليهم السلام) and the method of good doers. It is such a great obligatory deed by which other obligatory deeds can survive, other creeds can be saved, bargains are lawful, injustices are warded off and prosperity can fill the earth.❞

📗 Al-Kafi

. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said ❝The one who sees a wrong action done should prohibit it by his deed, if he is capable of course; if he cannot do so he should prohibit it by his tongue, but if he is not even able to do that, he may forbid it by his heart.❞

📗 Wasa’il al-Shi’a

👑 One of the greatest examples of enjoining good and forbidding evil in the history of Islam is when Sayed al-Shuhada Imam Hussain (عليه السلام) rose up on the plains of Karbala. He famously said:

❝I did not rise up in vain, as a rebel or tyrant but I rose seeking reformation for the nation of my grandfather Muhammad (ﷺ). I intend to enjoin good and forbid evil, to act according to the traditions of my grandfather and my father Ali ibn Abu Talib (عليه السلام). ❞

📗 Bihar al-Anwar

And Allah (ﷻ) knows best.

Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib's merciful behaviour towards his killer:

It was the month of Ramadan, the month of fasting. It was the time of the morning prayers; the Kufa mosque was full of Muslims. One man called as Ibn Muljim, was pretended to be sleeping with his face downward. He had hidden a poisonous sword under him. Imam Ali (as) was kneeling before Allah (SWT) and when he raised his head a terrible blow fell upon him giving a very deep cut from the poisonous sword of Ibn Muljim. There was a great disturbance and commotion in the Kufa mosque. The murderer Ibn Muljim started running. The Muslims followed, caught and bound him in ropes and brought him before Imam Ali (as) who was on the prayer carpet drenched in blood and was reclining upon his sons. Imam Ali (as) knew the blow was fatal and he could not survive it but when the murderer Ibn Muljim was brought before him, he saw that the rope which had bound him was so tightly bound that it was cutting into his flesh. Imam Ali (as) turned towards those Muslims and said:

You should not be so cruel with your fellow being slacken his ropes, do not you see that they are cutting into his flesh and he is in agony.

Ibn Muljim was thirsty, that Imam Ali (as) could see. Then Imam Ali (as) was taken to his house. There was much crying and weeping in whole Kufa. At this time milk was brought for Imam Ali (as). He looked at the milk, and said, “Give a glass like this one to Ibn Muljim also, he is very thirsty.”

The milk was given to the murderer Ibn Muljim. He gratefully drank and quenched his thirst.

So was Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (as). History of Islam is full of the incidents of his chivalrous and merciful behaviour.
