Modest Fashion Episode 2

Hello ladies and gents! I hope you’re having a blessed week.

So at the beginning of the summer I bought the most adorable, modest tribal-print romper. I was so excited to wear it…and then I washed it. And there went all the modesty. The shorts shrank to ghastly proportions, and there was nothing I could do to undo it.

See? It looks like I forgot to put pants on. Decidedly NOT modest. But I wasn’t about to give up on my romper. I just figured out how to revamp it, and I’ve been wearing it all summer.

In the first look here, all I did was pull on this awesome royal blue high-low hem skirt. The high-low hem is my favorite trend for the summer (and it’s going to go into fall too with tights and boots!), and this is one of my favorite pieces. The colors of the romper go perfectly with the skirt. I also added my FAVORITE pair of brown booties that go with basically everything.

They’re so perfect. Just worn enough and they go with everything.

The great thing about it being a romper is that you can wear it with other shorts too! This is probably the outfit I wore most this summer. All I did was pull on a pair of tan faux-suede high-waisted shorts and added a pair of studded gladiator sandals. I love these shorts, and just like with the skirt, their color really complements the colors in the tribal print of the romper.

These are the type of sandals that, in my opinion, every girl should own for summer. They go with everything, and they’re super cute!

Now, it’s harder to take this one to church, but I found a way. All I did was pull on a pair of navy trousers (again, one piece that goes with EVERYTHING) and a bright red cardigan. The shoes really make this outfit, though.

GOSH I LOVE THESE SHOES. The detail on the heel is so dainty and beautiful. These are probably my favorite pair of heels EVER. They take the pants-and-cardigan look from something basic to something special.

I’m so happy I was able to save my romper, and by thinking outside the box, any piece you own can become cute and modest! :)

I CAN’T!! To me, Darcy/Daniel is HOOOOOOT AND ADORABLE. The way he says some words, the way he walks, THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER, THE SMILE. I understand you but look at Bing and Jane together!!! HE IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE TOO. I can’t and I just wanna to cry (your url tho)

"Let’s face it, having a homosexual male leading a bunch of little boys on a camping trip or whatever it be is like having a heterosexual male lead a bunch of little girls." I generally like you guys, but I was troubled by this. There is nothing wrong with a heterosexual male leading a bunch of little girls, as long as he's not a sex offender. And there's nothing wrong with a non-sex offender homosexual male leading little boys. I mostly agreed with that last ask, but not that. God bless!

My point isn’t that the man could be a sex offender, the point is that it’s an understandable policy.  I understand what you’re saying and I agree with you for the most part.  My point is that it isn’t an outlandish policy.

Filed under: questions I will ask God if I am lucky enough to spend eternity in his divine presence. Because I don’t think any human person can provide an explanation for that.

And God said, “Let there be The Today Show.” And God said, “This is not good.”

Except if God made it’d have to be good so shhh

They turn on their TVs, find the right channel, and look at the screen.
