On this, the day of resident asshole Thomas Jefferson’s birthday let me remind you that Sally Hemmings was a real woman who was continually assaulted by a man who owned her as property. She is not a prop for you to woobify Jefferson with I don’t care how cute Daveed Diggs is fuck.

Notes: Guess what guys! This was a request! I absolutely loved this idea. This was so fun to write. And I couldn’t wait to get it out. So I will probably be regretting life at work seeing as it is 3:30 in the morning right now. BUT THIS WAS SO WORTH THE 13 HOURS OF WRITING. I hope my lil nonnie (though I DO know who requested this, I will not divulge) loves this ❤️
Request: can you do a stiles smut
where the reader is possessed by a powerful goddess or the reader is a demigod
and she can regain her powers/stay in control by having sex with someone? and
that stiles is her anchor? TYSM ❤️
So as a white afab who identified as demisexual for a while: a lot of the acephobic rhetoric around demisexuality being ‘normal’ is actually … pretty racist? And also sexist?
lbr: 'normal’ sexual attraction standards are primarily about how straight white men perceive sexual availability/interest to themselves. Demisexuality is only characterized as 'normal’ if you’re white afab (the virgin princess who only falls for her true love). If you’re brown or black, 'normal’ is hypersexual.* and southeast Asian people are all desexualized entirely (except southeast Asian women who are dating white men).
So, like … I get what people who say demisexuality is 'normal’ are tying to explain - that many, if not most, people are only seriously interested in sleeping with those they know pretty well as opposed to strangers** - but acting as if all groups of people are characterized as 'normal’ for that when they’re not is just. Not a good look.
*not an antonym to asexual - just the characterization of 'always hungry for (presumably straight) sex’.
**not actually what demisexuality is anyway, but it’s definition is shittily written so I understand where this comes from.
