30 Days of Doctor Who: Day 4

Day 4: Favorite villain

Freaking weeping angels. They’re the villain that I hate so much but have to be my favorite. Who would have thought that something so simple as a statue would be so utterly terrifying?

Oh… right… Moffat. The master of our nightmares and sadness.

They were terrifying in Blink, but it wasn’t until The Time of Angels that they were freaking horrifying. Most specifically the part where they’re trying to find the weeping angel amongst all the statues surrounding them only to realize that they were all weeping angels.

The Doctor: Nobody move; everybody, stay exactly where you are. Bishop, I am truly sorry, I’ve made a mistake, and we’re all in terrible danger.

Father Octavian: What danger?

River Song: The Aplans.

Father Octavian: The Aplans?

River Song: They’ve got two heads.

Father Octavian: Yeah I get that, so?

The Doctor: So why don’t the statues?

Holy crap that freaked me out sooo much. Not only that but suddenly these angels could actually kill rather than just send their victim back in time.

And we mustn’t forget Angel Bob with the little gem:

Angel Bob: We have no need of comfy chairs.
