Mikkelsen actually had to travel to Iceland for some of his Rogue One scenes. In “my very first scene, I’m walking and it was raining constantly. It was just pouring down. It was windy, chilly, and I was like, ‘God, we’re done here’ but it was such a beautiful place. I love Iceland. And we’re going back to the studio, but they came up with this brilliant idea that all the shots inside in the studio should be… in rain. So basically, I am wet the whole film. Those were cold and long days, but it’s worth it. It looks fantastic on film.”

The Nordics as quotes from my family

Denmark: “I’m like a salmon, defying gravity”

Norway: “911? Yes, yes indeed, my Lil bro wont eat his burger with a fork”

Iceland: “Stop saying It’s alive! everytime I get out of bed”

Finland: “Get the foxskeleton off the dining table”

Sweden: “I feel like a dinosaur in a shoebox.”

Okay everyone so I know why I love Robbie Rotten but can everyone else tell me why they love him too?
Like, I like his whole character design like his suit and how he kinda looks like he’s made of plastic and his expressions make his face look like it’s made of rubber. I really love his over exaggerated and strange mannerisms and facial expressions. Like sometimes he’ll do interesting things with is hands. He sometimes has a very light touch like he’ll hold things with 2 fingers very gently and daintily and other times he’s more heavy handed and rough. His body movements are interesting too. He kinda slinks around with his long spindly legs and tries to make his very tall body smaller. He’s very tall and lanky so when he moves it like he’s some sort of rubber band that stretches and un-stretches. I also really love his Icelandic accent. Accents have always been a thing for me. His inflection is very different than normal people’s and his speech pattern is nice. His voice is very soothing and deep but also excitable, and versatile. More in regard to his personality he kinda reminds me of myself as many of you can probably empathize with. He’s a grump, is hedonistic af and loves being lazy and enjoying the things that are supposed to be bad for us. I also head cannon him as being on the autism spectrum as he is bad at picking up social cues and interacting with others. He also only likes very specific foods (eg. Cake) and won’t eat anything healthy. Perhaps he has a problem with texture much the same as he has issues with noises “those brats are too noisy!”….
I could go on and on. But tell me what you guys like about Robbie.! Talk to me. I wanna know why other people like this disgusting purple plastic man!

Iceland unearths rock to appease angry elves
Iceland has been forced to bow to pressure from elves and uncover a supposedly enchanted elfin rock after highway workers accidentally buried it - infuriating the mythical creatures, reports said on Tuesday.
