Can you please tell Canadian & American shawols that camping outside of shinee hotel & following them around is wrong & inconsiderate for shinee & other people staying at the hotels as well. I've seen some already planning that and it's wrong

it’s pretty disheartening that i even have to but: please do not camp outside of shinee’s hotels when they’re touring in north america next month. hotel time is personal / private time. any time that is off schedule is private time and it is, to be simple, inappropriate to intrude on that. the only time that it is alright for a fan to wait for an idol outside of an event is at the airport and, even here, there are obviously boundaries to be kept, such as: don’t touch and don’t yell. the only other instance is if you run into them, by chance, when they’re out in public doing something and, even then, do not follow them and respect their privacy.

i’ll probably have to make another post similar to this closer to the time of the concerts, but remember that what we’re wanting for shinee is for them to feel safe and comfortable when they’re touring in canada / the states. we don’t want to make them feel anxious or stressed especially given how tired they’re going to be.

I feel awful for the people in Texas, and obviously have the utmost sympathy for them but... am I the only one who's a little annoyed by the whole "THIS is how you treat your fellow humans" and "Texas are showing people how it's done!" as if they invented having empathy. I wouldn't mind but I've seen a lot of people borderline implying that the people of Bangladesh and other disasters were basically unempathetic animals and going on to say "this is why America is the best country in the (1)

(2) world!!“ (I always laugh when I hear that statement in any circumstance tbh.) Just… it’s nice to focus on the positive and all but they’re completely ignoring the fact that the citizens of Houston have a CURFEW imposed upon them from midnight to five am in an attempt to curtail all the looting and robberies and destruction of property that are happening now so many houses are empty. Why must Americans use every opportunity, every disaster to claim they are the best? Why is it a

(3)competition? Why can’t people just say "the situation is awful and people are trying their best. My thoughts are with them”, instead of turning it into a pissing contest? It’s kind of disrespectful to the people whose lives have been ruined by this disaster.

I mean, there are going to be people that use the disaster as a pissing contest or as a chance to loot, but most will just be proud of all the good people helping each other and showing nothing but pure altruism.

Americans just have a different sense of pride than other places. They get loud and shout about how great they are, and whilst to us that sounds like them being arrogant and sneering at others, a lot of the time they just see it as positivity and harmless banter.

Something terrible has happened and they’re trying to be upbeat and turn the bad into some good. They have their own culture, that’s all.

Typically, Mr. Americas birthday was on the 4th July - the most iconic day in American history. To avoid parties and tasteless age jokes from Tony and Clint, Steve had taken you to Brooklyn, his hometown. He had only been back a few times but he never got time to see it properly, so naturally, he showed you everything from when he was a kid; sighing and complaining that they had ruined it. It was adorable how his eyes lit up as you took interest in his history - not Captain Americas but Steve Rogers, the scrawny kid.

He showed you the area where he grew up and all the places he got beat up, a lot of the places had been demolished or changed but some places were still more or less the same. “thank you for coming with me, I mean I know this probably isn’t all that interesting for you.” he smiled and took your handing in his, squeezing it slightly, “ you have no idea how much this means to me” you stopped walking and stood on your tiptoes to kiss him,

“Stevie, all of it interests me. Its nice to see how you lived and just to see you so happy - don’t think otherwise. Besides; I could listen to you talk all day” you winked and he laughed kissing your nose and gently pulling you down the street. The two of you walked for a while in comfortable silence until Steve stopped suddenly,

“(Y/N) I don’t suppose you could go see my parents my parents with me would you, I mean, you don’t have to but I haven’t visited them since before the experiment.” he coughed slightly and looked down at his feet

“Steve, you don’t have to ask. Of course I would I don’t know why you thought I wouldn’t.” you smiled at him sadly and he lead you down to their graves. They were next to each other, the headstones were only small but they were still there. Steve went and sat between them, you had never seen him cry before but suddenly he was reduced to a sobbing mess. You sat behind him and wrapped your arms around his waist, resting your head on his shoulder. You stayed there for a while before he calmed down and he got up before helping you up,

“come on, lets go somewhere yea - anywhere but here” you smiled up at him as he pulled you away

——————————–time skip - that night——————————-

The two of you couldn’t stop laughing as you walked across Brooklyn bridge towards the city, the buildings and bridge were all lit up and it looked like something from a movie.

“it seemed like a good place to grow up”

“it was,  ya know” he smiled “A lot of good memories”

“Like what” you looked up at him, he was looking away and over the city

“Like running through the city with Bucky as kids, becoming a soldier, the time I asked you to marry me” he finally looked down at you before stopping and getting down one knee. His cheeks showing a slight blush and a nervousness in his eye but he still smiled, “I love you (y/n) more than you could ever understand, so would you do me the honour of being mine?” you nodded furiously as he took your hand and slipped a simple diamond ring on your finger. You admired it as he stood up before he took your hands in his again and kissed them lightly. “It was my mothers ring, I always carried it with me - it was frozen with me”

“Oh Steve” you breathed, hardly able to form words, “I love you” you whispered and he smiled at you

“I love you too, doll” he gently kissed you, your hands still in his between you. All you could think of was simply being his.

There was one part where we jump on a wire, and Chris fell one time and dropped out of frame somewhere, and I didn’t know where he went. There’s that scene where we blast through the two doors, and at one point, we couldn’t even get through them, and I was like, ‘Oh, here’s America’s hope! We can’t even break through a door.’

Do you guys know any fics that deal with synthesia or color blindness? I feel like I've seen a few locating around but I can't find them now.

Black and White - Phil has synesthesia and Dan is color blind, Phil decides to prepare a birthday present for Dan that he will hopefully never forget.

Colour - Dan has been colour blind since he was born, in the truest sense of the word, as he could only see in shades of gray and black, occasionally white. For his birthday, Phil takes him to America and then Disneyland, and Dan is confused when Phil drags him to World of Color.

Clouds - Phil is just an excited person who may have a problem with obsessing over cute boys who are colorblind and like to act like they’re choking on a sandwich and rant about how awesome clouds are.

The Best Part About Being A Monster Is Not Caring About Myself - (tw) In which Phil has synesthesia - an ability to “see” sounds and “smell” colours. However Dan has a secret, which is an eating disorder.

Your Music is Beautiful (And So Are You) - Phil has synesthesia, and it’s his most guarded secret as he grows up with the boy who made it the most beautiful.

Glad you don't hate America or think those jokes are funny. I'm from Canada. Usually if the US isn't invited then neither are we. I just think it is weird that I've seen so many blogs complaining that Americans complain over Eurovision posts but what do you expect with posts saying by 2050 all countries will be invited but the US still won't be allowed. I'm sorry but that is just rude and mean. I get it isn't the US's thing but intentionally only leaving them out is just hurtful.

Full disclosure, I do find those posts funny. There are SO MANY things that are just for the US, and we don’t mind, but then when there is something that isnt about them, all of a sudden that’s ‘unfair’. You can watch the eurovish the same way we watch all those US-exclusive events - from a distance.

None of those other countries those posts mention will ACTUALLY be in it, there will never be a situation where America is the only country that isn’t involved. Those posts are literally to point out their strange need to be the center of attention all the time.

No, the US will never be allowed into Eurovision. That isn’t rude or mean, it isn’t even a big deal. Fact is, America isn’t in Europe. And for one night a year, that means they miss out on something. But the number of times WE miss out because we aren't’ in the US seriously outweighs that. So let us have our moment without trying to make it about you. K?
