9 the one where your soulmate’s last words to you are written on your body.
when Shinichi is feeling especially morbid, he looks at those words
carved on his chest. If he looks down, he can just see the characters raised above the skin of his heart like some kind of warning. “See ya,
Kudou.” It’s an Osakan dialect contraction. Shinichi doesn’t even
know anyone from Osaka. It doesn’t stop him from looking at it
though, tracing the kana, hoping to find meaning in it.
hasn’t yet, and it’s been years since it appeared. Hard to find
meaning in a casual goodbye. Only they must be on good terms if his
soulmate is so casual on his deathbed. That’s about the only thing he
can take from it.
So I've been a fan of Tom almost around 3 years now and I didn't really get to watch any interviews of his since I've been kinda busy. Since I have some free times, do you have any good ones of Tom Hiddleston? Ps love your blog!!
Hello, little gray face!
Well, I’ve spent way too much time on this, so here are my suggestions.
****Please keep in mind this is not exhaustive, I did not “forget” any; I am simply choosing personal favorites and a sort of Best Of. These are all from Youtube, so let this help you start and then do your own poking around.

Times Talks:Madrid – NYC as replacement for Guillermo del
Toro about Crimson Peak (there’s another NYC one with Hugh Laurie if you are so inclined)
Enjoy! You could literally spend DAYS watching everything that is out there of him, especially relating to Marvel and everything from promoting a few films and a television series in the first half of 2016!
If WonderTrev were to marry, I don't think they might care so much about the politics behind it, but do you think the US or Man's World will insist on him becoming Prince Consort of Themyscira and represent them in some ways (like the US getting special treatment in trading etc.)? I imagine Steve could care less about titles as long as he and Diana are together, but I think I've watched a tad too many period palace dramas lately so I got really curious.
Someone’s been binge watching “The Crown,” eh?
The closest precedence I can think of is with Tom Tresser, who was made a Guardsman of Themyscira when he and Diana started officially dating (this whole exchange is so, so good - I’m here for the Cleveland jokes all day).
I don’t know if I have a great answer to your question, but I wonder whether there would be some sort of conflict of interest as Steve is also in the US military. Where do his loyalties lie?! jK, they lie to Wonder Woman. But also, I don’t see him using his position as a Themysciran-American to finagle any special trade deals or anything like that. The man just wants to be with Diana, amirite?
For Chuuya and mafia Dazai could I have headcanons on the following: when they go on long missions they miss their s/o and suddenly they get a small video from their s/o which is just a vlog of what they've been up to. For ex, the vlog could be s/o saying, " since your not here I've decided to make it cozy reading night for me". Of course s/o teases them like, "I'm about take a bath now which u don't need to see~" Just s/o's way of connecting with them while they're gone. Did I go on too much?
would open it at first and then watch it in secret away from his subordinates so he doesn’t have to try so hard to hide his blushing
if you constantly send him teasing videos, he’ll attack you as soon as he’s home
secretly craves for the videos after you’ve sent a few every time he’s on a mission
the videos are the only reason he’s okay with going on longer missions
when he has downtime, he’d send them back, talking about how much he misses you
openly exclaim that there’s a video from you to all his subordinates and gets all excited
will watch it over and over again with the same excitement
he’ll send videos back pouting about how much he misses you and whining like a legitimate child if you’re teasing him
will literally watch your video in the middle of a gunfight if he receives it at that moment
will do everything he could to try to convince you to let him watch you bathe ;)
Hi! Before I start I have to say you're one of the best advice blogs I've found for this kind of thing. I've been noticing lately that my writing is always very dialogue heavy, and that I seem unable to use anything else to drive the story. Do you have any tips for making stories more balanced?
Aww, thank you <3 I’m really not the best because it took me way too long to answer this (thanks executive dysfunction 👍). Anyway, here goes…
So most people I know have this problem or the opposite – it depends on what you’re more comfortable with. Personally, I’m heavier on the description and lighter on dialogue, which presents just as many issues. The reason for this, I think, is because I’m more comfortable with my own voice (author’s voice) than I am with my characters’ voices. So if you’re experiencing the opposite problem, I’d ask you how comfortable you feel with your author’s voice. If you don’t really know what your voice is or how it sounds, that could be your problem right there.
But there are other causes, so I’ll give you a diagnostic checklist. Ask yourself:
Is the setting weaker than the plot and characters? Many dialogue-heavy stories become that way because the setting is inessential to the story – that’s why most fanfiction is mainly dialogue. The ideal setting for your story is interactive – even if it’s character-centric or takes place in a dull apartment in the city. Find a way to include your characters’ surroundings/community in the story. Otherwise, your story is missing one part of the Holy Trinity (plot, characters, and setting). And that’s just tragic!
Are you in the wrong POV or tense? A point-of-view that’s too distant from the characters thoughts/feelings/sensations (e.g. Third-Person Omniscient) can trip you up if it doesn’t suit you. A POV that’s too close to the action (e.g. First-Person) can create an urgency that doesn’t allow time for description. This effect can also be caused by present-tense stories. Overall, just examine your POV-tense combo and make sure it’s not holding you back.
Could it be a pacing problem? When a story reaches a climactic moment – especially with action sequences, arguments, flashbacks, etc. – authors tend to lean on auditory storytelling. Stories seem to move faster when you cut out all the senses except what the character hears. This is a good tool in moderation; but if you find yourself constantly in this state, your story may be moving too quickly. On the other hand: if your dialogue is largely used for character development or humor, and not for moving the story forward, your plot is going too slowly. In this case, consider dropping a subplot or just moving more aggressively.
Are your characters doing or just talking about doing? One of the most agonizing mistakes a writer can make is creating characters who can’t put their money where their mouth is. They talk about loving the Dream Girl or fighting the Big Bad Villain or Changing Their Life(!) but they wait fifteen chapters just to take the first step. So make sure your characters are active – that they’re the ones driving the plot forward and not vice-versa.
Do you have “stick-figure characters”? So your plot can be paced well, and your characters can be active, and the setting can be great, but ultimately, there are still going to be dialogue scenes. Since these scenes are where you’re most comfortable operating, start there. Keep your characters alive. That means that when they’re exchanging puns or fighting over the last crepe, they shouldn’t just be doing that. Use body language. Have Jacob nervously tap his foot and stare at the salt shaker while he tries to come up with a pun, all the while feeling his crush staring at him impatiently. Let Erika grab Tori by the wrist and try to elbow her back away from the crepe, because she really wants the crepe. Conversations may be had on couches in real life, but in fiction, it’s always better to have a discussion on a rolling log.
That’s all I can think of right now! If you have any more questions, be sure to send them in! Happy writing :)
can we follow your personal blog to see what you're up to? :)
Probably should have answered this two months ago when it was sent, but I guess now’s an okay time to give an update!
First of all, I’m not interested in giving out my personal blog or accounts. Nothing personal, I’ve just had bad experiences in the past with people from Simblr getting way too close and a little stalkerish so I removed the links a while ago.
In case people are wondering what I’ve been up to - not much, honestly! I’ve been hanging out with friends, playing Overwatch, and just kind of relaxing I guess? I’m enjoying my other hobbies and I probably won’t come back to the simblr community for a long time.
I miss it here sometimes, and every now and again I get an itch to play, but I think it’ll take more than that to get me back and involved in the community again. I’ve actually been more tempted to play The Sims 3 than The Sims 4, but that’s way too much effort for me to even consider it.
I’m kinda using this ask as an update post, but for anyone wondering, I’m still alive!
Here's a long shot theory about the two mysterious figures in the preview. They are NOT gems. They used to be criminals on alien worlds that homeworld colonized. (Which would explain why the fairy has Lapis's wings but looks nothing like Lapis.) They were picked by White Diamond to serve homeworld on top secret missions too important to just send Rubies. It's either that or the fairy is a REALLY Defective Lapis. Either way, yay for new characters!
I’m not even sorry about the recent art spam. I wanted to do a comparison between two characters I’ve drawn. So, here’s Rayleigh. The left is from December 2016 (when I started) and the right is from today May 17th. Sometimes I feel like I haven’t changed at all but I can see the difference in just a few months. It makes me excited for the future.
Since UB has gone down one too many times, I moved and updated my care sheet (9/2015). As always, it is forever under construction, because with animal husbandry, there is always more to learn, as we always learn more and grow in our care.
You know what we need? We need more Paul Blofis headcanons.
So I am here to supply. He must be appreciated more.
His parents are immigrants. His mother is from County Sligo in Ireland, and his father is from Liverpool.
He was also raised in a household where religion didn’t really matter, so he’s not overly religious. Like he doesn’t know if there’s a God, but like isn’t an atheist either. He’s in a kind of weird gray zone. (Which I think is why he came to terms pretty easily about there being Greek Gods)
That’s where his love for Shakespearean theatre comes from because his parents always loved it and he grew up with it.
He also has this love for the Beatles, courtesy of his father (who is also a musician on the side)
Paul can play the piano and guitar really well, but he can’t sing
He has this look of like a “Golden Age Hollywood” actor, or kind of like George Clooney
He’s not that tall either, he’s 5′8″
(When Percy grows taller than him, it takes some time for Paul to get used to looking up at his step-son)
He grew up in the Bronx and had to work hard to get into a good college
He is also the oldest of four kids. He has two brothers and a sister.
Because of that, he is very competitive over really stupid things and he’s a master of hiding his things from people
