i've been cumberbatched

I spent today’s looking at Khan’s face 😊 Still just a WIP, but soon, I’ll be able to check off my followers wish list project ! Pastel painting done with faber Castell soft pastels and Pitt pastel pencils (on canson toned grey pastel paper)

  • Me, before The Lying Detective:
  • Although I respect people who do, I do not ship johnlock, and I will never ship johnlock. I think they function better as just friends.
  • Me, during The Lying Detective:
  • I feel bad for people who ship johnlock. John is currently beating the shit outta Sherlock and their ship is burning... I'm glad I'm not a shipper!
  • Me, after The Lying Detective:
  • *stands outside my house with signs and chants* JOHNLOCK! JOHNLOCK! JOHNLOCK! JOHNLOCK IS REAL! THE GAY IS REAL! JOHN SUGGESTED IRENE, AND SHERLOCK SHRUGGED OFF THE IDEA OF GETTING WITH HER! SHERLOCK HELD JOHN AS HE CRIED! I WANT TO WALLOW IN GAY TEARS! JOHNLOCK! JOHNLOCK!

Thinking ahead to the red carpet for The Current War premiere: it will feel so weird because Benedict Cumberbatch will likely be the established actor who gets attention and applause but Tom Holland who will get the wildly screaming hordes of fans.

I know it’s the natural order of things, and what BC wants, but 2013 wasn’t that long ago when BC was the focus of the most attention for all his projects even when he wasn’t the star.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I’m selling Benedict’s fans short. But nobody can stay white-hot forever. Fame is a fickle thing. Good thing BC doesn’t really care how popular he is as long as he’s still getting good roles and doing excellent work.
