↳ “I had to tell them. You did not! No, I did! I wanted to! You see, I forgot. Okay? I forgot or I stopped thinking about it or maybe I didn’t wanna think about it. I let them lower me into that well like it was fun. Like I was playing Portal. Uh, it’s a video game. Of course it’s a video game. And then the pharmacy happened yesterday and I realized something. I forgot that they’re dangerous. I don’t care if they’re sick people or dead people. They’re dangerous. And then I realized something else. That I don’t want you in danger ever. So, I hate to blow your dad’s big secret, but I’m sick of secrets. Secrets get you killed. And I’d rather have you pissed off at me and alive than liking me and dead. So that’s why I told him.”

I'm not defending Whedon, but that storyline with Natasha being forcibly sterilized is actually in the comics. It's actually a pretty big deal. Having said that, it does fit into Whedon's dislike of pregnant women. He may have been a little overly excited to include that plot point in Natasha's storyline.

I admit I didn’t know it was a comics thing, but even so, that is a delicate storyline that needs to be handled with so much care and respect and, setting aside the fact that I don’t believe Joss is capable of that, an ensemble film is NOT the place for that. That’s a storyline for a solo Black Widow film and nowhere else, because even a writer who actually cared enough to do it the right way wouldn’t have the time in a film with five other main characters. Especially when she’s the only woman, because socially, so much of women’s value is tied up in reproduction, so to make that the thing screwing her up when the men have things that aren’t that…

It’s disrespectful and harmful on a lot of levels, is what I’m saying.

And it’s really fucked up to me to give that storyline to an actress who’s pregnant. Especially when Whedon’s already made it abundantly clear he hates pregnant women.

Anders: I always thought it would be fun to be a pirate.

Isabela: More fun than starting a revolution?

Anders: I’m not sure I’d call that “fun.”

Anders: When I was stuck at Vigil’s Keep, I dreamed of stealing a ship and sailing to exotic lands… When I left the Wardens, I tried to plant a rumor that that’s where I went. Even mentioned your name a few times.

The way you draw Kamil makes me want to smush his hat and give him hugs.

Yes, good, all according to plan– Okay, maybe it wasn’t intentional at all, but gosh, thank you very much! That sounds like I’m doing something right! :’)

And by all means do, seeing or hearing Kamil get some love always makes me happy!

@ anon who asked me the long question about stony/stucky fandom dynamics….. 1) i’m not actively part of either of those ship fandoms so idk what to tell you?? and 2) you should probably be careful when touching this subject…………………

Though she had moved in months back, Florence had yet to actually buy herself a cellphone. She had one in high school, of course, but she found instant textual communication tacky at times. She much prefered phone calls, which was her main motive behind installing a landline. Florence had eventually found a pretty enough (but functional) phone in an antique shop. It had sat on one of her (many) side tables for a couple of days, silent. At first she had glanced at it every now and then, expecting it to sound off. Now it had begun to blend into the rest of her apartment, just like the flowers she replaced every now and then or the Monet reproduction on her wall. Florence was baking when it rang unexpectedly, the sound echoing back and forth. She dropped the pan of blueberry-raspberry-nut (Florence had difficulty making these kinds of decisions) promptly on the stovetop, her heels clattering awkwardly as she scuffled to her room?
She paused as she picked up the phone.“Hello?” she asked, breathless.

Oh my gosh. I was just looking at available minors at the school I’m going to in the fall, because, as I’m starting my third year of college, I think I should choose a minor, and…they have an Asian Studies minor.

That. Is. Perfect.

My long-term plan is to do TESOL in Japan, so if I major in English and minor in Asian studies (I can choose courses that relate to Japanese history, culture, and religion as well as learning the language) it’ll be the perfect preparation.

I’m so excited.

Dear Famous People,

I see all of the pictures of you getting swarmed by people. Want to go somewhere that no one will bother you? Stay away from the big world wide cities. Go to small towns and small places. Everyone will know you, but no one will bother you. Unless you start acting like an a-hole, then they’ll totally call you out on that.
