Just to let you know, I am NOT competing with anyone, making pokemon gifs is not a competition to me, it’s not about who made it first to get more notes and make look others like losers or whatever you think, nope, I make gifs because I like editing, so please, stop.
LET ME STOP YOU RIGHT THERE PLL. just like that? just. like. that. Oh yeah Caleb, we’re together and I love you, and there’s no REAL reason for you to relocate your whole entire life, but I want you to stay in Ravenswood and watch out for this girl we just met. Seriously? You couldn’t write a smoother transition for Caleb to stay in Ravenswood? Shit doesn’t make any sense.
A Call-Out to those "fans" who show some serious disrespect.
Let me preface this by saying, I’m not a Oncer; I never claimed to be.
If you want to know about a little bit about me: I’m a Raphaelite, a Potterhead, a Tribute, an Alliance Marine, a Grey Warden, a Champion, a Downtonian, a Keyblade Master, a Final Fantasy lover, and an Anime/Old-School Horror movie Fan.
I’ve been seeing some serious disrespect from some of the “Oncers”, if they even truly deserve to be called that after some of the hate I’ve been seeing. Do you realize that it is not a RIGHT to get involved in someone else’s story, that it’s not a RIGHT to pair off characters of your own choosing, and that it’s not a RIGHT to bitch/moan/complain to the writers, creators and actors that make the story come to life.
It’s a PRIVILEGE to see/read/play the stories we love. Why may you ask that it’s a PRIVILEGE? Because you never know that maybe, just maybe one day, that show you love will be finished/cancelled, those series of books you love may never get finished should something happen with the author, and that game you’ve been waiting years for may never even show up until you’ve lost interest in it.
I’ve seen people in my own fandoms say things, excessively rude and disrespectful things, about the things they claim to “love”. And you know what that does to a fan like me? It shames, embarrasses, and angers me beyond belief. It makes me feel so bad for the creators and writers, because they are just trying to get their story out for the world to enjoy. It makes me feel bad for the actors, because they’re just trying to do their job, taking words from scripts and make them become real.
Soon enough, those that make the stories we love will just stop, because they’re sick and tired of all the complaints that they get from those select few that claim that they know what’s better for the story. And those that disrespect will just get the ire of those that lost that one thing they love to watch/read/play.
I’ll admit that I may not like some of the things that happen with my favorite books/shows/games, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before I disrespect someone’s creation, someone’s baby they’ve nurtured for God knows how long. That is what a TRUE fan does, yes, we’ll love and critique what we don’t like, but there’s a big difference between CRITIQUE and DISRESPECT.
And you know what, I may not be a Oncer, but I’ll show my love tomorrow to the OUAT cast and crew, because you know why? I love Jennifer Morrison in House M.D., I love Robert Carlyle in The Big Monty, and I love Raphael Sbarge in just about everything he does, especially Mass Effect.
In short, don’t disrespect. If you have a ship that you love, be a good fan and continue to ride the damn ship if you want, make your own little story that you feel fills what you believe is canon; don’t start bitching and complaining and disrespecting. You’re not going to get anywhere with the writers/creators/actors, you’re just making the rest of us proper fans look bad.
From one of the most well-behaved fans you’ll ever find,
