Last day in my week long Plus Size Halloween costume ideas series! I know plus size people sometimes struggle to feel confident enough to dress up for Halloween since costumes are rarely built with our body type in mind, so I wanted to put together some easy DIY costumes that plus size babes can feel beautiful and powerful in! You don’t need to be skinny to enjoy this holiday, it is as much for you as it is anyone else. :)
Day 5: Karen Smith (Mean Girls)
Ears: Dollarama Choker: Forever 21 Nighty: La Vie En Rose Skirt: G21
It was nearly 70 degrees out, and Wren was beginning to loathe her choice of wearing a fur jacket. However, the ensamble just wasn’t the same without it. She’d spent the morning passing out flyers and throwing candy off of Fleur’s float, had even developed a small sunburn on her cheeks, but it was worth it when she got to see the excited faces of kids getting treats. As she walked back towards work, where she had stashed her second outfit for the evenings event, she heard a voice comment behind her about what she was dressed as. “Hmm?” she said, turning to get a better look at the person. Scruntching up her nose at their reply she retorted, “No, I’m a caterpillar, duh,” she said, pointing to the silver antenae headband she wore on her head.
One of my friends, Raechel, got me these awesome Mean Girls waterslide decals for Christmas! It’s my first time using decals, as you can tell by the lumpiness, but I’m still pretty pleased with the results!
