Hi! I love your prompts and find them very inspiring! Can you do me a favour because I'm writing a book with a girl who's unconscious and has amnesia and a boy who takes care of her - but I'm not sure what there first encounter should be... Like could you do prompts with her waking up for the first time, seeing him and -- that's where I'm stuck. Thank you!

1) She blinked, groggy, head aching and - and jolted to her feet in panic. She didn’t know what had happened. She didn’t know who that was!
“Hey - hey - easy!” The boy caught her arms to steady her. “It’s alright, it’s alright please. I’m not going to hurt you - please sit down.”
“I can’t remember anything!”

2) “So,” the girl asked. “Are you my boyfriend?”
“You’re my boyfriend, right?” Her brow furrowed. Why else would he be sitting so attentively at her bedside taking care of her?

3) “So, you want to explain that oh so cryptic comment you made about a secret only you knew, the blast of power and the people hunting us down now apparently?” The boy asked, once he’d helped her sip at a glass of water.
The bowl of broth rested in her lap and she paused with a soup-dipped hunk of bread halfway to her lips.
Well, that was awkward.

So Harry basically sang the soft songs off his album😢

i can’t really emphasize how much this is…. i just i really can’t articulate it. he wasn’t in much of a mood to celebrate, as he said. it wasn’t a night for dancing around and screaming to lyrics and getting hyped up. he’s heartbroken, and he’s hurting for his home and for the victims and for their families. that was a very respectful tribute, picking the softer songs and doing an acoustic set, while allowing a moment of silence for the victims. he still went on stage and performed for those fans because he knew that a lot of them traveled to see him and they paid money. and they paid money for charity, too. like, every dollar went to a local charity. that’s just - i’m really emotional because of the generosity in his heart and how kind and considerate he is. it couldn’t have been easy to get on that stage, but he did it. for charity, no less. for the fans. as a tribute to those lives lost and the families broken. with a lot of emphasis on putting love back into the world, for pleading with people just to love one another

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy the thought of Harry and Draco back at Hogwarts years after they leave? If not, let me take a few moments of your time to elucidate:

  • Banter
  • Inter-house rivalry at the head table
    • inter-house rivalry between classes
  • Knowing (memorizing) each other’s schedule and casually bringing it up in conversation–with or outside of each other
  • Seeming like a married couple to everyone else but not realizing it themselves
  • Intense quidditch debates in the staff room
    • students like to hang around outside because they’re always loud and always hilarious (and sometimes often result in creative new insults to add to their repertoire)
  • Grading together in one of their quarters and snarking over ridiculous student answers
  • Quibbling over teaching methods to the point of pedantry just to be annoying to the other
  • Trying the “I’ve never been more shocked by student behaviour in my life” approach on students who misbehave, none of whom believe it because they’ve heard stories of Harry and Draco’s time at Hogwarts (usually by the other in classes, ex. Draco climbing a tree because he wanted Harry’s attention)
  • Patrolling the hallways over Christmas hols
    • “Here. This is the statue Flitwick said he’s caught kids fooling around behind. Go check it out.”
    • “Why do I have to go?”
    • “What are you, scared?”
    • “… Fine, you absolute tosser. …Woah, Malfoy, come check this out.”
    • “What? What is it?”
    • “Just get back here and you’ll see.”
    • “I’m not going to fall for your tricks, Potter. I’m not going back there.”
    • “Malfoy….”
    • Fine.”
      • They end up necking behind the statue like students
      • It becomes a repeat occurrence

Okay! I’m a scientist so there are two possibilities;
1) Ethan and Tyler are single together
2) Ethan is not single (and hopefully dating Tyler because who else actually shares clothes if not couples!?)

So Megamind is a bit of a show-off, a rockstar and a mad scientist with an audience. Given his coloring and Minion, it’s easy to picture his people as semi-aquatic.

Have you ever heard songs underwater?

Specifically, the heavy bass notes you feel in your bones and the high notes which warble and dance their merry way to your ears?

I was just thinking about Back in Black and Highway to Hell, and the theatrical intimidation of those scenes, and I wondered if Megamind was subconsciously recreating a part of his culture.

(The police at City Hall, shaking like leaves in the wind and parting for the conqueror, like this is a king and everyone knows it - just look at him dance his way up the steps)

(Hal, once personally targeted, angered beyond reason and drawn away from Roxanne)

(Megamind, standing in a fountain giddy with success, and swarmed by cheering “positive feedback”)

I wonder if it’s partly the cultivated hive-mind of Metrocity, and partly…not so much telepathy as it is an energy. Like you’d find in a concert, or a play, where your emotions are pulled and tugged at will, Megamind comes from a people who use what they’ve built with their hands and the songs with the required tone and pitch to direct the crowds.

Not all sirens sing, after all.
