i'm sorry if i'm not making any sense

HERE COMES A THOUGHT: Steven healing Jasper’s corruption by entering her mind through his dreams, and the whole thing is a giant homage to the ending of Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Jasper is Anthy, and just as Anthy is trapped by swords of hatred, Jasper is trapped by the green spikes of corruption that plagues her mind.

But the Anthy trapped by those swords is not the “true” Anthy, and the Jasper plagued by corruption is not the “true” Jasper, merely the monster she’s resigned to be. The “true” Jasper is pure and uncorrupted, possibly still wearing her Pink Diamond uniform, and Steven finds her trapped somewhere deep within Jasper’s mind. Maybe she’s hiding in her own hole from the Beta Kindergarten, sealed shut by the metal spikes that she used to contain the other corrupted Gems. That’s how she sees herself now–as nothing more than a corrupted monster.

Steven struggles to free the Jasper trapped inside her hole, just like Utena struggled to free the “true” Anthy trapped inside her coffin…

But he just can’t do it on his own. Jasper has to want to be saved.

“Jasper, please! Please, take my hand!”

I can really imagine Steven with this exact face, because he desperately wants to save Jasper and make everything right. He doesn’t even care that she was his enemy, he doesn’t care if she hates him or if she will always him, all he cares about his helping someone in pain. So he reaches for her…

Does she reach back…?

I really like the ace!Percabeth ideas, have any headcanons?

I’m going to try to make this make sense because today I’m not in a day to think too much, but on the other hand it’s time for me to answer this question appropriately:

I think the way ace Percy & Annabeth would work is that they don’t think about sex? I mean, they never talked about it, or they did it vaguely but neither of them considers it necessary, not for their relationship because they like it as it is in its current state.

Even so, Annabeth spends too much time in Percy’s cabin, it is no secret that she escapes to sleep with him, but only to sleep because she can not alone with her nightmares about the tartarus and knows that Percy is the same.

Your relationship does not change too much to what it is currently? And they take it easy. They are not interested in having sex for the moment, they do not seek it, but if one day they both have the desire, if they really feel it, they will simply get it.

I just wanted to say that your recent hoseok story was beautiful. I'm a sucker for angst and it was very well written. Awhile back you posted an explanation for the special tag you have for yoongi. I was wondering if you could explain the other members' tags? If you don't want to you don't have to. Thanks and keep writing!

I’ve been waiting for this question to arrive for so long. Ah, this day finally arrived, and I’m so nervous! :)

Jungkook : Do you want to ruin me?

“Maybe…you’ll fall in love with me all over again.“
“Hell,” I said, “I love you enough now. What do you want to do? Ruin me?
“Yes. I want to ruin you.”
“Good,” I said. “That’s what I want too.”

Based on this quote from Hemingway’s A farewell to arms, because this is what Jungkook does to me every single day of my existence. I changed it recently.

↠ Taehyung: Spring Bear

“I really like you, Midori. A lot.”
“How much is a lot?”
Like a spring bear,” I said.
“A spring bear?” Midori looked up again. “What’s that all about? A spring bear.”
“You’re walking through a field all by yourself one day in spring, and this sweet little bear cub with velvet fur and shiny little eyes comes walking along. And he says to you, “Hi, there, little lady. Want to tumble with me?’ So you and the bear cub spend the whole day in each other’s arms, tumbling down this clover-covered hill. Nice, huh?”
“Yeah. Really nice.”
“That’s how much I like you.”

Please, sue me if this isn’t talking about Kim Taehyung. It’s from Norwegian Wood, by Haruki Murakami.

Jimin: Nocturnal Carnation

Carnal apple, Woman filled, burning moon,
dark smell of seaweed, crush of mud and light,
what secret knowledge is clasped between your pillars?
What primal night does Man touch with his senses?
Ay, Love is a journey through waters and stars,
through suffocating air, sharp tempests of grain:
Love is a war of lightning,
and two bodies ruined by a single sweetness.
Kiss by kiss I cover your tiny infinity,
your margins, your rivers, your diminutive villages,
and a genital fire, transformed by delight,
slips through the narrow channels of blood
to precipitate like a nocturnal carnation,
to be, and be nothing but light in the dark.

Jimin’s actually from Pablo Neruda’s Sonnet XII, that is a bit very suggestive, but that I absolutely adore. A Hundred Love Sonnets is one of my favourite books of poems ever. It makes more sense in Spanish though.

Namjoon: At the root of true harmony.

“One heart is not connected to another through harmony alone. They are, instead, linked deeply through their wounds. Pain linked to pain, fragility to fragility. There is no silence without a cry of grief, no forgiveness without bloodshed, no acceptance without a passage through acute loss. That is what lies at the root of true harmony.”

The quote is from Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and his years of Pilgrimage by Haruki Murakami. This tag is perhaps a bit sad, but I love the way Namjoon thinks and how deep his thoughts are. Whenever I read his fancafe posts I feel so touched, because I can relate to the things he writes and I think that comes with having experienced pain in many different ways. It’s like that time he talked about the sentence “love yourself“, and he explained how for him there’s so many shades of love but for some reason that love for oneself seems unattainable, and that he discovered that loving himself was also forgiving himself, and I was reading that and I cried just thinking of Namjoon writing that, and the thoughts and experiences that must have triggered his writings. I love Namjoon’s mind and the way it works, and I think he understands pain so this quote reminded me of him somehow.

Hoseok : Drunk on sunlight

Hoseok’s is a bit stupid, because it’s a quote from A Storm of Swords that goes something like ‘I am alive, and drunk on sunlight’, and I feel like I should’ve chosen a quote from a poem for him, but this is kind of what I feel when I look at him, so it fits. But I should give him a poem too, he deserves a poem.

Yoongi: Between the Shadow and the Soul.

I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way
than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.

I already explained Yoongi’s, but I swear I’m in love with this poem and the first time I read it I thought of him. This poem is for me one of the most beautiful representations of love. It’s Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda and I even memorized this in Spanish because it’s just perfect.

Jin: Beneath cherry blossoms.

“What a strange thing!
to be alive
beneath cherry blossoms.”

Jin’s is from a poem by Kobayashi Issa, and this is the cheesiest thing in the world and I don’t really know why it reminded me of him. I’ve always linked Jin with flowers, mostly lilies, but we are so lucky to have him in the group and I feel like his many talents are shown at a slower pace than the rest of the members, perhaps because he did not have a chance until very recently. But Jin can sing beautifully, a strong voice that deserves to be heard, confidence, wit, dad jokes for days, and it is indeed a strange thing to be alive at the same time as Jin. Besides, Awake hurt me so bad.

i’m kinda bad at reading and typing. i scan and misread words, type too fast, and forget to double check. this is easily a recipe for typos and mispellings, and i’ve kinda reached a point where i’ve gotten self conscious about it.

so if i ever make a typo, i’d really appreciate it if people didnt make fun of me for making one ! i know people lightly joke about typos with no harsh inentions, and if you have made fun of any typos in the past, i’m not mad at you !! i totally understand, and you’re not a bad person for it, but it just makes me feel like a living comic relief character who’s too stupid to type properly.

i’m trying my best to slow down and type properly though! i really hope this post doesnt come off as too demanding, because i’m trying to get rid of the root of this problem (my typing) aa aa ,, have a nice day

The 100 Hogwarts AU - John Murphy in Gryffindor

Mudblood.

They say discrimination is dead, the Wizarding community. Everyone is accepted, they say. Well somebody forgot to tell them Murphy existed. He was the Gryffindor that the other Gryffindors hated, tried to shove him over to the Slytherins - who, also, wouldn’t have a bar of him. But, to be fair, he had tried to murder Jasper numerous times for snoring too loudly.

His father had been arrested for stealing medicine Murphy had needed when he was sick. Their family was poor, but when Murphy got sick it was when they hit the ultimate low. Nobody could figure out what it was, and the medicine his father had ended up stealing was apparently dangerous. They said that they were convinced his father was going to start dealing it. They couldn’t afford a lawyer.

His mother blamed him, and the rest history.

It was only when his Hogwarts letter arrived that he, not his mother, had to attempt to write a letter to send back explaining he couldn’t go because he was too sick. It was then, and only then, did the Ministry of Magic swoop in to take him to St. Mungos, and he was cured over night.

His mother’s blame only strengthened.

He had never had many friends as a kid, so eleven year old Murphy may have come on too strong when attempting to make friends. He found himself hovering around Bellamy, who was a few years his senior.

There was only so much pain, suffering, and bullying that someone could take until they either cracked or became one.

Murphy became an asshole.

His friends digged it. He was cool. He was finally getting attention. And then princess swooped in, reformed Bellamy, and Bellamy kicked him off the Quidditch team.

Oh yeah, did he mention he was a chaser? Not anymore.

Mudblood. Nobody. Asshole. Killed your father. Devil child.

Just another day in the life of one John Murphy.

… honestly I’m not sure what I could say to justify myself here. Don’t take candy from a sadist?

the naughty pup being left in a perfect.. position to be… “played” with after this punishment’s dished out is no accident either i’m sure. receiving the proverbial “carrot” after the stick, if you will. whoops i’m unclean

Oikawa Tooru & Alexander The Great

So, I wanted to take a moment to talk about this topic for a bit. I know there are several other posts that already analyze the symbolic nature to these two figures but I’m not here to necessarily to do that. There is another wavelength I would like to cover that has recently came to my attention.

For readers, it is clearly evident to why Furudate would make a reference to Alexander the Great in regards to Oikawa. In terms of leadership and his position of command, Tooru holds great qualities that help him lead his team to victory. When I really took the time to think about it and do a bit of research, I found that you could argue that the reference goes a bit deeper than expected.

A little history lesson here ( and please correct me if I’m wrong on any of this, I’m no expert really ) but Alexander the Great believed in Greek Polytheism. While this form of religion is very broad and has many different complexities to it, the Greek culture holds values a bit different for their time period. In famous literature, as seen in classics such as The Iliad and The Odyssey, a common theme, and quite heavily enforced, presented throughout was man’s downfall because of pride.

The Iliad depicts this lesson well, explaining how Achilleas wouldn’t have lost his lover if it had not been for his stubborn pride. Though, in this time period strength and brute force was considered essential in war. Later though, as referenced in The Odyssey, cleverness and the intelligence of outsmarting your enemy is valued more than just physical strength in itself. Odysseus is an intelligent man, coming up with witty ways to escape his enemies but like anything else, his pride puts him in dangerous situations, ones that could have been avoided at best.

I like to believe Furudate was inspired by the philosophy of the Greek and there was a significance to choosing Alexander the Great from this time period. The way I kind of see it is Oikawa’s rival, Ushiwaka-chan, can be referenced to the old school mentality of “brawns over brains.” This is not saying that Ushiwaka is unintelligent. In this time period, the greatest and strongest warriors were always sent out to fight the main battles, taking the role of leadership. This basically reminded me of the chapter where Waka’s coach talks about his style of game play, where players are chosen solely to help Waka. Oikawa represents the evolved belief, that being tactical is more useful, drawing out the most from his teammates and multiplying their talents.

What spurred this thought on was Oikawa’s famous line, “This insignificant pride of mine, you had better damn well remember it.” I find it so ironic and interesting that this topic/theme is brought up here. Is it pure coincidence or is there really significance to this whole ordeal?
