Dating Bruce Wayne Would Include

(Btw I am using the Batman v Superman Bruce Wayne, y’all)

  • Not being entirely sure as to how it all even happened
    • On the off-chance that you’re one of Gotham’s minimal elite, you probably met Bruce at a charity gala and, for some reason beyond your comprehension, he picked you out of the other well-dressed women
    • In the higher likelihood that you don’t come from an affluent family, there’s a multitude of possibilities as to where you met: Maybe you were at a gala working as part of the catering company and he accidentally spilled red wine on you. Maybe you worked as an intern or temp or had a desk job somewhere in the Wayne Enterprise building in Gotham. Or maybe he just saw some assholes giving you a rough time and he stepped in and then offered to walk you home.

100% agree on your analysis of Jimin as a Slytherin!!! I know a lot of people (including myself) are shocked Namjoon put himself in Griffindoor over Ravenclaw though. I'm dying to hear your thoughts on this!!

HELLO and thank you! I’m glad you agree! And if anyone is curious here is a link to my thoughts on why jimin is the perfect slytherin. EDIT: And here is why Jungkook is a Ravenclaw!

//cracks knuckles MY TIME HAS COME

So… Namjoon. I, like you and a ton of other people, was really confused about him being in Gryffindor. But, the more I thought about it, the more I really came to not only accept it, but believe that he is a Gryffindor through and through. And please be advised this is going to devolve in to me gawking over how great of a human being Namjoon is, so if you don’t want to read about that please close your browser and think about why you don’t agree that he’s better than everyone else. okay?

okay.

Namjoon is a Gryffindor to the core, not a Ravenclaw

First of all, Namjoon supposedly sorted everyone else, but I have a small sneaking suspicion that he may not have sorted himself. We know he’s a fan of the movies at least, and he’s fluent in English, so if he’s a fan and he has access to sorting quizzes on Pottermore and other sites, is it so hard to believe that he hasn’t at least tried a few? Seriously, even the most casual of fans have tried getting sorted. It’s not that crazy of a thought. So… What if they put him in Gryffindor over Ravenclaw?

(I mean, when asked to do a British accent the first thing that he quotes was “Shut up Malfoy!”. If that ain’t the most Gryffindor thing…)

Also, Namjoon is a really humble guy. If he DID sort himself, I feel like he’d be the type of person who would shy away from saying “I’m smart, so I should be in Ravenclaw”. He’s always been pretty modest about his intelligence. And just because he is, doesn’t mean we should be. Seriously, Namjoon can be a goof but if you’re ever in doubt about how crazy smart he is, please watch this.

He has no problems recognizing the intelligence of others though – he raves about Jungkook being good at everything he does, and even gave him the nickname “Golden Maknae”,  so is it such a wonder he put Jungkook in Ravenclaw? (It should be noted that Ravenclaws also have a reputation for being eccentric and quirky. Prime example, Luna. If that isn’t a perfect descriptor for Jungkook idk what is)

So let’s look at what the common traits of Gryffindor are, shall we?

Such character traits of students sorted into Gryffindor are courage, chivalry, and determination. They can also be short-tempered. [x]

Okay so, courage. I could go on and on about how brave Namjoon is but like… we’ll be here all day. So let me keep this short and point you in the direction of one thing in particular that he has done. THIS TWEET.

It’s Rap Monster. A song about homosexuality. I heard this song before but I didn’t know the lyrics, now I know them and I like the song twice as much. I recommend Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Same Love. http://hiphople.com/subtitle/619392

I have a lot of feelings about this tweet. And a lot of theories about WHY he tweeted that too – but no one wants to hear about those so that’s for another life post.

First – speaking out in support of homosexuality in Korea is a pretty huge deal, because homosexuality isn’t a really accepted lifestyle there. (It isn’t really accepted anywhere, truly, but you all know that.)

Here’s a pretty recent list on idols who support LGBT communities.  It’s a pretty god damn short list. I use the term ‘support’ loosely bc this article seems to equate ‘having gay friends’ as being a supportive ally. But Namjoon stands out pretty hard in this list because he doesn’t just say ‘i love my gay friends!’, he outright spoke out in support of homosexuality.

But Kiki, you say… Namjoon is hugely popular. He’s one of the biggest stars in Kpop. He could say whatever he wants now, right?

Well yeah, he can. But here’s the kicker! Look at the timestamp on that tweet. He tweeted that before they debuted

Namjoon was months away from launching his dream career, something he’d worked his entire life for. He was from a pretty small unknown company whose only claim to fame before that was that group that had two members blackmail an actor over something or another. He couldn’t afford bad press, and yet here comes Kim fucking Namjoon with his balls of steel willing to throw that all down the drain because god dammit he was going to tell the entire world about how much he supported the LGBT community and anyone who wanted to stand in his way of doing so could eat a fuckin dick. He could have kept his heckin mouth shut but he didn’t???

????

moving on.

Chivalry.

Chivalry is defined as:

1.the combination of qualities expected of an ideal knight, esp courage, honour, justice, and a readiness to help the weak

2.courteous behaviour, esp towards women

Courage, honor, justice, what I just talked about describes those things pretty perfectly.

I’d like to talk about honor for a sec though. Let’s look at a pretty famous Gryffindor – Ron. Ron was one of a shitload of children in his family. He outwardly always grumbled about not getting attention or whatever, but as a person, he was all about family. He put his family first, he didn’t gripe too hard about hand-me-downs to his parents because he knew they were trying their best, and he defends people he cares about.

There’s that famous scene (that I’m still salty they changed in the movies) where Hermione wants to answer a question and Snape gets mad at her for it. And he defends her – why ask the question if you’re not looking for an answer?

Ron always, always put his family first. So does Namjoon.

Take this gifset for example. The whole set is great and shows how much he really takes care of his members, his family, but this is what he does when he’s around them and also in front of people. Not all that surprsiing.

But please, please please please pay attention to the first gif. For people who don’t know the context, he was asked if he’d choose going solo or bangtan. He DID NOT KNOW HE WAS BEING FILMED. He could have shown his true colors and said that he preferred a solo career and all the glory, but even when given the chance to be completely open, his heart was still with Bangtan.

Another great example of Namjoon being completely selfless. Everyone here is praising themselves (and they have a right too, don’t get me wrong, you’re all great four for all of you) but when it gets to him, Namjoon says “We’ve always been pretty good.” We. Not I, not me, we. Everyone else is giving themselves some much deserved praise, but Namjoon is stuck on we are good, we’ve always been good.

Also don’t forget how important blood-related family is to him too.

And don’t you dare forget how important you, his extended family, is to him either.

Readiness to help the weak. I mean this goes without saying right?

And if you want to take courteous behaviour, esp towards women, literally, look at their glass-ceiling line in Not Today, that they said they used specifically knowing what it meant. and look who is credited for writing the lyrics! What’s that? It’s Namjoon? Wow, I did not see that one coming.

Speaking of lyrics – talk about having courage. Look at the lyrics he wrote for Reflection and Always.

They can also be short-tempered.

Okay so this doesn’t really apply to Namjoon. But I wanted to include it in there because it fittingly applies to another Gryffindor we know of… Namjoon wasn’t playing around when he sorted these guys. Bonus, here you can observe a hufflepuff and (fond) gryffindor in their natural habitat.

So let’s recap. Namjoon is pretty selfless, extremely caring of his friends and family, a feminist, an outspoken ally for those who are mistreated, and is so god damn intelligent everyone REALLY thought he belonged in Ravenclaw.

Wait a minute, I feel like I’ve heard about this person before… There was another Gryffindor like this, I’m sure of it… it’s on the tip of my tongue…

Ah right.

I’m not saying Namjoon is our version Hermione Granger, but… that’s exactly what I’m saying.

Do you know that post about an uber driver surprising passengers with puppies inside their cab? Because I dreamed about it last night but with victuuri. Like, driver!victor with makkachin and his pups at the backseat, then passenger!yuuri enters and victor just stares at him bc wow what an angel??? 'pls marry me we'll travel the world and raise these puppies together???' Lmao it's just so cute too bad i woke up right after that it's such a nice dream ;//

On Victor Nikiforov’s Uber profile it says: prefers passengers with pets.

Yuuri doesn’t have a pet with him, but he does need a ride, so he figures ‘prefer’ is going to have to be the operative word in this situation. Phichit hadn’t been able to give him a ride, something had come up, so he’s leaning against the brick wall outside of a diner. There are waves of rain beating down on the sidewalk in front of him and a tiny, maroon awning is his only savior.

When he sees a white convertible pull up, he squints, wondering if this could possibly be his driver. Deciding to take the risk, he hurries into the rain and peers into the window. There’s a man inside, too blurry to make out, but he’s waving to him, so Yuuri opens the back door.

And…

(No, this can’t be the right car.)

“Come in, you’re going to get soaked!” the man calls, and there’s a playfulness to his voice, an invitation.

“You have dogs,” Yuuri blurts, as though the man doesn’t know that there are currently five brown poodles habituating the back of his fancy convertible.

The man–Victor, Yuuri reminds himself–nods. “That one is Makkachin, he’s the oldest. And that one is Spot–do you see the spot on his back?–and that one is Bella, she’s the troublemaker, and then that’s Charlie…”

“Right, okay,” Yuuri blurts, and he gets into the car, shutting the door behind him. A dog lays down on his lap. He can’t buckle his seatbelt.

“Where are you heading?”

Yuuri swallows. “Um, doesn’t it say in your, uh, thing?”

Victor looks at his GPS. He’s definitely attractive, Yuuri notes. “Yes, I suppose it does. Just trying to make conversation.”

“Oh, right, sorry. Um, I can’t get my seatbelt on.”

“Oh, Makka!” Victor scolds, looking over his shoulder. “You can just push him off, it’s fine. Just be gentle, please.”

Yuuri tries to push the dog off, but he whines and keeps his head on Yuuri’s thigh. He doesn’t have the heart to try again, so he just prays that Victor is a good driver. “So why, um, why the dogs?”

“Why not?”

(Fair enough.)

Victor turns a corner and Yuuri holds onto Makkachin, trying to keep him from slipping. “Aren’t they cute?” Victor asks, sounding hopeful.

“Yeah, they are,” he admits, patting Makkachin’s head. “Are they all poodles?”

“Yes!”

“I used to have a poodle.”

Victor frowns, looking at him through the rearview mirror. “They’re very loyal dogs. They like riding around, meeting passengers. I’ve never seen Makkachin take as much of a liking to one as he has to you, though.”

He blushes and ducks his head. “Really?”

“Really. In fact, it’d be a shame if he were to never see you again after this ride, so maybe you should give me your phone number. So that you can visit. For the dog’s happiness.”

(Well, that escalated quickly.)

He tries to figure out whether or not Victor is asking him out.

But, it’s for the dog’s happiness, after all.

“S-Sure. I mean, I do need rides sometimes….”

“You’ll be my priority customer,” Victor promises. “Now hold on.”

“Haha oka–what?”

They swing around a tight corner, Yuuri is thrown against the door. The dogs don’t look at all disturbed, they maintain their places and pant happily at the man in the front seat. “Sorry about that!”

He clutches his heart. “Yeah… Yeah, no problem.”

“Wow, you’re even cuter when you’re flustered,” Victor muses, watching the rearview mirror again.

Yuuri, on the other hand, watches the road. “Look out!”

He glances down at the road, swings their car to the right. “Don’t worry, it’s fine.”

“D-Definitely fine,” Yuuri repeats, unsure.

Then, they’re at his stop. “See you soon?”

(For the dog, Yuuri thinks.)

(For the dog, and for that man’s stunningly gorgeous eyes.)

“Sure. See you soon.”

Ah I don't mean to bother you but do you have any advice on how to deal with depression I'm sorry for bothering you I just don't know what to do

Hey, it’s ok yeah you can totally ask me. I’m probably not the best person to go to because I’m not a therapist or whatever, but I definitely have experience with dealing with Depression so, I’ll tell what you helped me. and hope that maybe it helps you in some way shape or form.

So when I was in this abusive relationship with my ex, I hit total rock bottom and I have never been so low in my entire life. Honestly if you met me now, and then met me like 2 years ago, you literally would be talking to two different people it was so bad. but I don’t need to go into detail or describe depression. I’m sure you already know what it is very very well.

So, the killer about Depression is that you feel empty, sad, angry, etc etc, and it’s kills all motivation and drive and inspiration to do the things that you once enjoyed ya know? like, you no longer enjoy doing whatever your hobbies were, and you have no interest in doing them anymore. Depression tells you that you want to is sleep, eat/not eat, sit and stare at nothing, do nothing, not talk to friends or family. And because Depression is so strong, it’s easy to fall into doing those things of just not doing anything, and isolate yourself from any form of social interaction with friends and family etc. And a lot of the time you feel like that’s all you can do, like you don’t have the literal energy to do anything else such as something as simple as getting up out of bed after sleeping in over 10 hours or something. (it’s not laziness, it’s depression.)

Well those things that Depression makes you want to do, is the exact opposite of what you should do. And those things Depression says you hate and don’t want to do, – all those hobbies, or getting up and taking a walk, talking to friends, doing something, is exactly what you need to do, to help you with your depression. The best medicine I find is distractions, and not letting it control you. It’s tough, especially emotionally, and you’re gonna hate it for a really long time, but eventually doing all those things you useto like, and now hate, the likeness to it starts to come back. but it’s easier said than done, and it takes a LOT OF WORK! and it’s hard. but you can do it!

Trying to find some kind of reason or obligation helps too. like what really got me on the stepping stones of doing better is I got this Indie game job, and I was given the like impossible task to make over 100 little paintings (all the custom artwork) in 3 and a half weeks, high quantity, in high quality. It forced me to paint and draw even though I had like no interest in art because of the major depression I was feeling, and that job forced me to draw 8 to sometimes 15 hours a day. It was brutal, and for a bit I hated having to draw so much cuz I didn’t really enjoy art, but then forcing myself to get up and do something I hate (but once loved) I started to like it again. And then when the Indie game ended, I wanted to keep pushing myself to improve and have a reason to keep me drawing, which is why I started Youtube. And it really helped me build my confidence and fight against the depression.

Now the thing is, Depression never goes away, it’s a mental illness and it’s not something you can get rid of like a virus or bacteria. BUT FEAR NOT! just hear me out!  It’s a constant battle everyday. You can’t be cured, and no amount of therapy or med can change that. Don’t fall into the misconception that meds/therapy fixes the issues, because it doesn’t. It is HELP. and Help isn’t fixing, it is assistance for YOU to fix things. So getting medical or therapeutic help is definitely good and I promote it, but you can’t rely on it to fix your problems, because it has to be you to put forth the initiative, which is why I told you what I did above first. Meds and therapy try to regulate your hormones and work out solutions for you to deal with the issues in yourself and your environment so you can work out your depression. so the goal in getting better isn’t to find a cure, even still to this day I struggle with it a lot, and I have my moments and my episodes sometimes. BUT I’m not saying you’re going to be miserable for the rest of your life, because the truth is, you can be happy, while having depression.

The goal is to learn how to maintain and live with it, so you aren’t controlled by it. I have control over my depression right now, and despite that it’s still always there in the back of my mind and it resurfaces sometimes, I’m actually very happy and have become a pretty stable person. (especially compared to who I use to be)

So start by forcing yourself to get up, doing small things, try to seek out interests that distract you from depression, but also force yourself to fulfill responsibilities (work, school, chores, etc) which helps you get stronger and start gaining control of the depression. Seriously something I find very helpful is going on a walk. It’s easy to just slump around or sleep in bed and never get up, but walking, (that thing that you don’t want to do) actually helps a lot, and there’s a scientific reason for it too, not just it sounding nice. But the more you can do for yourself, and others even, the better you’ll feel, even if it doesn’t seem that way or a long time. It takes a lot of time to crawl out of the rut you’re in, but you’ll get the if you just keep going.

I know I don’t give the best advice, but, I hope this helps in some way.

I was salty about the changes in art styles in su until I read the tags in that post you reblogged. Thank you for educating me that they are VISUAL INTERPRETATIONS of the characters, rather than INACCURATE DRAWINGS of the characters. As an artist, I would feel awful if a lot of people criticized my art because they want it to look a different way than I had portrayed it. Sorry for being ignorant before. Yall work hard, and do an amazing job with the art on the show tbh

thanks! i mean i don’t work on the show, but i am pretty tired that nobody considers that boarders all have their own style and draw the characters in that style pretty darn consistently. i know who does “chibi steven”, who gives lapis what hair, and who makes peridot taller than others. none of that is a big deal to me - that’s how they interpret the characters, and there is no “on-model” version. it’s just your favorite vs least favorite boarder.

it’s an annoying discussion, because it always turns into double standards: giving earlier seasons a free pass, comparing completely different boarders, or comparing it to shows that aren’t storyboard-driven. none of that is fair to me. i’ve even seen people - friends - get hate because they *gasp* had the audacity to show that “hey, this is kind of a thing with storyboard-driven shows, it’s not some scandalous, new ~crossing the line of animation quality :’( </3 ~ that su is doing”.

people are allowed to not like ~inconsistency, even if intentional. i don’t care. but if animation “quality” matters that much to them, even when everything is intentional, even when each storyboarder is consistent in their own style, then, yknow… ok. keep raging on for another year, i hope it’s fun.

i don’t say “get a life” often, but… geez. if they’re so focused on the fandom they either A) let a rage-bandwagon define how they feel B) focus all that time on something they legitimately hate, then… idk. i just feel bad for them. i’m not gonna answer asks about this topic anymore, though, whether positive or negative, cause here’s the thing: once you decide it is, every show is bad. literally anything can be accused of being shit, because this standard that you’ve decided is the “standard of quality” is defined by you. anyone can draw a line in the sand - i’ve done that with shows too. i just want people to be honest with themselves, on whether going out of their way to “prove” something su has always done - intentionally - suddenly makes it bad now is worth it or not. or whether they’re getting any enjoyment out of this at all.

hi! I started archery and in my beginner course I realised that I'm really weak :'( My instructor recommended me to use a compound bow bc I'm fairly good at aiming while using it, but I crave the aesthetic of the recurve. Is it possible for me to build enough muscle so that I can aim well with a recurve? (Could you recommend me some exercises?) Also I'm planning on buying equipment within a month so would it be best for me to wait to build up strength before buying a bow? sorry for the essay!

hi hello GOSH I LOVE ARROWS ARCHERY QUESTIONS

Okay so, just so we’re clear, I am for the moment gonna assume that when you say ‘weak’ you mean ‘what are sports?  we just don’t know.’ –because bro!, that would be me!, I know that one.  if you mean weak as part of a disability*, then bruh I can help with that too.  one of the coaches at my range is on the US Paralympic Archery team and I would be glad to hassle him for advice.

*archery is for EVERYONE.  there are archers in wheelchairs, there are blind archers, the world record for the longest accurate shot in archery is currently held by a gentleman who doesn’t have arms.

Moving on, okay, I am … side-eyeing your instructor just a little bit?  do you happen to know what poundage (How hard to pull) the recurves you used were?  at my range, a beginner archer of adult height gets a 66″ bow of either 12 or 16 pounds of draw weight (how much force it takes to pull the string back 28 inches.)

so, here’s the thing about pulling a bow.  imagine a gallon of milk.  or juice is okay if you prefer juice.  imagine picking it up by the cap.  yikes???  most people would find this very hard or impossible, and it’s not necessary.  so, you pick it up by the handle.  much easier!  you can manage the weight.  archery is just the same - the same amount of weight is either dang near impossible OR not too bad, and it’s all down to how you use your body to move that weight.

shooting a bow, your instructor should be showing you how to hook the string and pull with your back (much more muscle!) as you lower your front shoulder and push the bow away. push and pull, push AND pull.  it’s awkward at first, but once you get the hang of it, if you are using a bow that’s appropriate for your skill level, it’s MUCH easier because you are using your muscles efficiently.  and definitely don’t feel bad about feeling weak - literally every saturday i have people who are convinced they cannot do this, whole body shaking as they try to pull the bowstring back in an awkward way, and once they’ve had fifteen minutes of me poking at their elbows and back, saying ‘pull from here, elbow behind you, now push it away push push–’ they’re drawing the bow smoothly and making very nice shots!

tl;dr, it is totally possible to build up enough muscle to start a recurve!  exercises, briefly:

1.) buy a stretchy band and pull it like it’s a bow.  this one is… hrm.. I could explain it better with pictures.  would you like pictures?  i can try to do that tomorrow.

2.) less need of pictures, do plain old push-ups - i do them against the wall. place your hands against the wall, lean in (bending elbows, tummy firm, back STRAIGHT - if you let your back sag, it will hurt) until your nose touches the wall, then push off. repeat until tired, and it’s okay if that only takes five times.  try to do six next time, then seven, then take a dang day off!  when you can do like thirty, make it harder - back up further away from the wall - it will be harder to push off.

3.) lift things.  lift a water bottle.  lift the cat.  hold the water bottle at your side, then lift it to shoulder height, arm fully extended - as you would lift a bow.  hold it up for fifteen seconds (10 or 5 if you can’t do 15), then lower it.  rest for the same amount of time you held it up, then repeat.  if you can only do two of those at first, bruh!  that’s fine.  try to do three tomorrow, then four, then - take a day off!!  lots of rest days are important - you WILL get sore, your muscles WILL need time to recover.  starting out, swap the water bottle (or weight or cat) from arm to arm, so that one can rest while the other works.  as you get stronger, use two weights and do both arms.  extend your arms both straight to your side and straight in front of you - this is working on different parts of your shoulder.

WOW has this gotten long - and here you thought you wrote an essay!

Equipment:  Nope, you don’t have to wait, as long as you buy ‘the right’ equipment.  ‘Right equipment’ doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive, it just needs to have limbs that can be taken off.  Here is an example of the sort of bow I mean:  LINK!  We have tons of bows just like this one at my range. that one is metal, but plastic (like this) is also fine, and so is wood (like this.) See the black knobs at the top and bottom where the limbs (white bendy parts) meet the riser (the ‘body’ of the bow)?  those are bolts, the limb can be easily taken off and swapped out for a lighter (easier to pull) or heavier (harder to pull) limb.  limbs of the bolt-on type are very affordable, and a beginner bow of good quality is both tough and light weight.

the only point I will make on the purchase of the equipment is, do NOT let anyone tell you that it’s a ‘waste of money to buy limbs that are too light.’  that is dumb, people that ought to know better say it to archers all the time, and you know what happens?  those new archers hurt their shoulders, aren’t having fun with a bow that’s a struggle to pull back, and the bow goes in the closet and we never see them again. :’(  go ahead and get the lightest limbs available for your bow of choice - this is usually either 12 or 14 pounds. if you are over about 5′6″ tall, get the 12 pound limbs or even 10 if you can find them.  If you are 5′6″ or under, 12 is still okay, but so is 14.  this probably sounds backwards, but to put it bluntly:

the farther back you pull a recurve bow, the HARDER it gets.  that’s what the recurve shape of the limb does, it makes the bow more powerful as it is pulled back more. so, if you’re tall, or have rather long arms, you’ll pull the bow back more - you want lighter limbs so that you don’t have to fight with them. if I draw a bow with 14 pound limbs, it will be 16 pounds - I am tall, my arms are long.

if you are short or have stumpy t-rex arms, your draw length will be short - you may only pull a pair of 14 pound limbs to 11 or 12 pounds, if not less.

MAN ok, this has been an info-dump, and I hope it helps; if you have any more questions let me know, and I will do my best!  ENJOY.  YOU CAN DO IT.

Revving engines from the presumably barren roadways below had awaken you from your much needed slumber. A soggy, half-eaten turkey sandwich lay beside your mess of papers that lie askew. An empty styrofoam cup, once filled with Red Bull and caffeinated coffee, now rolls along the hardwood office floor as the warm stream of air from the heater sends it along. A computer screen illuminates the darkened bags beneath your eyes.

This was not a prime moment of yours.

It became a habit, checking your phone every few minutes to see if there was a text, if there was a missed call. But every time, there would be nothing. Then that same old bitter feeling settled in your stomach, and it became harder and harder to focus on the essay you were writing. Eventually, you gave up and sat back, staring at the paper but not quite seeing it.

It was the day of the competition: the day you’d been waiting for for months, but it wasn’t going quite how you’d imagined it back then. Instead of getting ready excitedly with Jungkook, Hoseok and Yoongi, you were sat in your room tearing your hair out at the memory of Taehyung walking away from you with a betrayed look in his eyes. You’d told Jungkook what had happened, and how Taehyung’s parting words and the lack of communication confirmed that he’d dropped out of the dance, and Jungkook didn’t seem at all surprised.

“He can sulk for a long time,” he had explained, wincing as he walked into his kitchen, his ankle still causing him pain. “After so many years of knowing him, hasn’t he ever done that before?”

You had said he hadn’t, because when you fought, it never lasted long. Over the years, you’d relied on his forgiving nature, but this time was different. He knew how much this dance meant to you and Jungkook, so if he was willing to let it all fall through, he was seriously hurt. You didn’t blame him.

Yoongi had texted you that morning, asking whether Taehyung had given in and if you would be performing, and your eyes stung slightly as you typed out a simple no. You hadn’t forgiven yourself for what happened, so you didn’t expect Taehyung to either. For the past couple of nights, you’d eaten your way through several tubs of ice cream in front of the TV, feeling very sorry for yourself. Your housemates crept around you, not disturbing your binge and letting you eat your feelings away. However, on the day of the competition, it didn’t seem to be working, so you sat down to get some work done. Which also wasn’t working.

You had no energy left in you to win Taehyung round. Deep down, you knew keeping that secret from him would hurt in the long run, but you didn’t realise how much it would hurt. Everything seemed so futile, and it left you feeling empty. You had to force yourself to get out of bed, to eat, to take a shower, but your mind never once strayed from Taehyung.

As you stared out of your window at the cloudless sky, your phone began vibrating angrily against the wooden desk. It flashed up with a name, and your heart sunk when you realised it wasn’t Taehyung. It was your mother.

“Hey,” you answered, switching to English.

Y/N! You haven’t called recently, is everything okay?” came her chirpy yet slightly worried voice.

“I’m fine,” you swallowed, eyeing the bin that was full of empty ice cream tubs. “How’s home? Did you get the money I sent you?”

“I did, thank you. It’s all been sorted with the rent, so don’t you worry about that. You’ve done us a massive favour. Thank you, Y/N, honestly. But I was mainly calling about something else. I wanted to ask you about Taehyung…”

You took in a deep breath, readying yourself for whatever idea she’d come up with. Usually she’d ask you to invite him to some family outing that she’d spontaneously planned, whether it be a meal at a restaurant or a shopping trip in town. Excuses popped into your head to get out of asking Taehyung without arousing suspicion as your mother continued talking.

“It was quite strange. I was making a quick trip to the market to pick up some groceries, and I could’ve sworn I saw Taehyung walk past. So I called out his name, just to be sure, and he turned and looked around. He didn’t see me, but it meant I could see his face and it was definitely him. Has something happened in his family? Surely he’s missing classes by coming home.”

“What?” you asked flatly, standing up suddenly and sending your chair clattering to the floor. The door to Yeona and Mijung’s room opposite you opened, but you ignored it. “He’s in Daegu?”

“I saw his mum, but of course, I didn’t want to be insensitive so I just asked if Taehyung had some time off. She said he hadn’t, and I didn’t push her any further than that. Plus, I don’t speak enough Korean to ask anything else. Tae looked really sad, too, bless him.”

“He’s in Daegu,” you repeated hollowly, just as your bedroom door opened to reveal a slightly annoyed Yeona.

“Can you keep-”

“I’ve got to go,” you said down the phone, cutting off Yeona’s attempt at a scolding.

Not looking her in the eye, you brushed past Yeona as you hurried towards the front door, your mind in turmoil. Was it really that bad that Taehyung had to go home? Or was it something else? You had no idea, but you were certain that either Jin, Namjoon or Jungkook did.

Really, all you needed to do was send a text to Taehyung’s housemates, but you didn’t want to stick around to be told off by Yeona, and you weren’t doing anything else productive, so you began pacing it towards Taehyung’s house in the hot spring morning.

Taehyung’s house was loud with noise when you arrived, as they were all singing along to a song playing on Jungkook’s phone. Jimin standing in the mix, which took you aback slightly as he danced next to Jungkook and sang his heart out.

“Jimin,” you said bluntly, catching his attention. His face split into a grin as he ruffled his silver hair, but you couldn’t understand why he was there and Taehyung wasn’t, so your smile back was weak. “Where’s Taehyung?” you asked him.

Jimin just shrugged, so you turned the question onto the other boys. Jungkook paused the music so you could be heard properly, resulting in a few grumbles from the others. After repeating yourself, however, you were met with silence.

“Taehyung? I haven’t seen him since yesterday,” said Jin finally, beginning to frown.

“Nor me,” added Namjoon. “Although I heard him bashing around in his room for a bit, but nothing else. We thought he was with you.”

Jungkook’s eyes opened wide as he realised something was up. It was such an innocent look that you understood why he got away with annoying Namjoon so often.

“Taehyung’s gone home,” you explained sadly, hoping against all hopes that you weren’t the sole reason for his unexplained departure. “He found out that I knew about Yeji.”

“Knew what about Yeji?” asked Jin quizzically, the same confused expression on his face as Namjoon. “Wait, is this to do with the thing that you kept from him? When he told you he liked you before you met us in the park?”

Slowly and hesitatingly, you explained the whole situation, with the help of Jungkook and Jimin. You watched as Namjoon and Jin’s faces turned from confused to angry to sorrowfully understanding as you talked, your burdens lifting off your chest as you did so. It was shameful describing what you did, especially to your friends who had always been so kind and considerate . Jungkook and Jimin also looked embarrassed, as they too had kept the same thing from Taehyung, but there was no doubt in your mind it was your responsibility. After all, you were supposed to be his best friend.

“… and now because of that, Taehyung’s gone back to Daegu and I can’t compete in the dance competition,” you finished, looking around at the others and waiting for them to say ‘it’s your own fault’ or ‘what’s done is done’. Because it was true: there was nothing else you could do.

Strangely, however, Namjoon seemed to believe differently. “Well, you need to go bring him back for the competition.”

You just blinked several times, not quite expecting that response. “I need to do what?”

“I’m not seeing all your hard work go down the drain, just because of some silly misunderstanding,” declared Namjoon. “I understand why Taehyung was mad, but it’s plain unfair to ruin this for you. I say drive down to Daegu, apologise, and tell him to get his ass back to Seoul.”

Laughing at the absurdness of it all, you shook your head. “If he’s upset enough to go home and miss classes, then he’s not going to come back if I simply say sorry. Plus, I can’t drive.”

“Jin does.”

“It’s broken down,” mumbled Jin, his face downcast. “Why do you think I’ve been looking after Jungkook? I’m not doing this out of kindness, you know.”

“How about… train!” Namjoon called out triumphantly.

Again, you shook your head. “Too expensive. I appreciate the thought, I really do, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. I was just coming to check if there was another reason that he might’ve left, but I guess not. I’ll see you guys later.”

Walking towards the front door, you almost made it to the handle before a hand on your shoulder pulled you back. Wheeling around, you saw Namjoon standing right behind you, his dark eyes pitiful as he smiled softly.

“Don’t give up, okay?”

Looking down at your shoes, you tried not to let your face go red. “Namjoon, it’s too late. I’m tired of chasing him.”

He just chuckled lightly, giving your shoulder a firm squeeze before letting go and walking away backwards. “It’s never too late to fight for something,” he said, turning around and leaving you standing there, unsure and uncertain as to what to do next.

Going back to your house, you walked into the main sitting area and almost burst into tears then and there. Instead, you gulped heavily to rid the stone from your throat and sank down onto one of the sofas, cuddling a cushion in your lap. How could you fight for a lost cause?

“Y/N! It’s your turn to do the-” Jiwon paused as she saw your stricken face, not knowing how to react. You didn’t bother looking in her direction, as your mind was elsewhere and you couldn’t be bothered to bring it back. Instead, you let her slowly remove her body from her bedroom and tentatively move towards you, her slippers dragging on the wooden floor.

“Is everything okay?” she asked quietly in a high-pitched tone.

When you didn’t respond, she disappeared for a minute, but returned with reinforcements. Before you knew what was happening, all three girls were sitting around you, eyebrows upturned in worry.

“You’ve been acting really weird recently,” commented Mijung bluntly, her ponytails jiggling about furiously as she fidgeted about next to you. “What’s the matter?”

That’s all it took for you to completely spill everything. For so long, you’d been keeping things to yourself and suffering quietly, but you were on a roll. For the second time that day, you told your secrets. You told them all about Taehyung, about how you fell in love over the years, about the dance competition, and all the way up to how you messed up by keeping too many secrets. It felt wrong at first, as your housemates were the last people you thought you’d tell about anything, but eventually you were glad you did. Mijung wrapped her arms around your shoulders while Yeona and Jiwon mothered you with blankets, as well as making sympathetic noises and offering their support.

“We had no idea,” muttered Yeona. She seemed genuinely distressed, which contradicted her usual grumpy aura. Although you had been told it was because she worked so hard, your opinion of the older girl never changed until that moment.

“So, you fancy Taehyung, and he was going to dance with you, but he’s gone back to Daegu because you upset him,” stated Mijung, summarising your points, “and you can’t fetch him and bring him back to Seoul because you can’t drive. Right?”

“Why don’t you text him?” asked Jiwon.

“He’s ignoring them. I don’t think it’s something you can sort out over text, anyway,” you sniffled.

“I can drive.”

Your hanging head lifted to look at Jiwon, mouth falling open slightly.

“I was in a similar situation with my boyfriend,” she explained, fiddling with the corner of a cushion. “I kept secrets because I was scared he would judge me if he found out. It almost ruined things completely.”

“You’d be willing to drive down to Daegu for me?” you spluttered incredulously.

“This will be so fun!” squealed Mijung, clapping her hands. “Road trip!” Standing up, she hurried to her room, but Yeona and Jiwon didn’t question it. You wondered if they ever bothered questioning Mijung’s actions.

“But you… don’t like me?”

“Nonsense,” Yeona laughed loudly. “Sure, you’re noisy, but you’re not so bad. Us housemates have got to stick together, right? And if Y/N’s in a time of need, then it’s our duty to help out.”

“It’s a long drive,” you argued, not quite believing your luck.

“How long will it take to drive?” Yeona asked, biting her lip in anticipation.

“About three hours,” you responded, quickly glancing at Jiwon to see if she was frowning or not. Luckily, she nodded, and internally you cheered.

This was really happening, you thought to yourself. At the start of the year, you never would’ve thought that your housemates were willing to make an impromptu road trip to the other side of the country, just so you could participate in a dance competition. Scratch that, you wouldn’t have even thought that would ever happen an hour ago.

“We’ve got to plan this out,” instructed Yeona, immediately taking charge. “If we leave now, we’ll make it by mid-afternoon, leaving Y/N… not very long to win round Taehyung. By the time we get back to Seoul, the show would just be starting, if Y/N’s quick.”

“Sounds good to me!” cheered Mijung, coming back from her room with a crate of food. “I’ve got the provisions.”

“How…” began Jiwon, trailing off as she stared at the pile of snacks and drink cans that Mijung was struggling to carry, her small frame leaning backwards slightly to support the mound of food. Turning back to Yeona, she added, “We’ll be cutting it fine, won’t we?”

Yeona nodded. “Y/N, you’re going to have to be quick. Jiwon, you need to push the speed limits where you can, because if you’re late for shows like this, they don’t let you perform at all. They’re really strict on schedules.”

Adrenaline filled your body as you realised what you were about to do. Could you make it? The excitement pumped in your blood at the thought of dancing with Taehyung on stage, but it was a distant dream. If you didn’t have long to talk, you might not be able to convince him at all, and you didn’t want to waste people’s time by driving down to Daegu for nothing. But you wanted nothing more than to make Jungkook proud. After messing with his emotions for so long, it was the least you could do for him.

The girls began packing up the car while Yeona gave out strict orders on directions if there was traffic. Your heart swelled at the sight, knowing they were going out of their way to help you. It was strange how their personalities began to show, too. For so long, you’d assumed that both Jiwon and Yeona were crabby and snarky, and Mijung was slightly crazy, but you were pleasantly surprised to find out differently. Jiwon was slightly nervous, but seemed extremely intelligent, Yeona was a natural leader, as she was calm and in control, and Mijung was a devotee for food and seemed to have a positive outlook on absolutely everything. Your spirits were lifting by the second, knowing that your housemates weren’t completely heartless, and that you might still have a shot at the competition. And a shot at fixing things with Taehyung.

This might solve everything, or could be a complete disaster.

And you hoped and prayed it was the first.

An hour later, you were driving down the highway, Yeona sorting out timings and Mijung with you in the back asking you endless questions about Taehyung. The car was a mess already, with sweet wrappers everywhere and a strong smell of vanilla wafting through the air, despite the air con being on full blast. There was also a sticky residue near your feet, which you believed was Mijung’s fault, as during a two minute pit stop her drink went from full to almost empty, but she denied the accusations. Despite the litter crunching under your shoes, it was quite comfortable sinking back into the chair and letting your head rest against the cool glass of the window.

“Basically, you both like each other, and neither of you knew for years?” she asked, sucking on a lollipop that turned her lips blue.

“He was subtle about it,” you explained. “It was only when my friend pointed it out, I realised. I don’t know, I guess I just thought he was being friendly.”

“I wish you’d told us sooner. I would’ve immediately told you he was flirting. I have a romantic eye” said Mijung proudly.

You shuffled in your seat uncomfortably. It wasn’t the fact that you didn’t want to become friends, but more because of the rudeness and constant scolding you received had put you off. Although they were never your dream housemates, and they were nothing compared to what Taehyung had, but they were helping you do something that was completely insane, and you were eternally grateful.

Eventually, a couple of hours later, the buildings started becoming familiar as you reached the outskirts of Daegu, and you began directing Jiwon towards your house. You passed fields and small farms, all of which brought you nostalgia of the times where everything was so much simpler. A time when there was no heartbreak, no confusion, no secrets. High school was extremely stressful, as you were working well into the night just to get a good grade, so even though you’d never go back, you still missed how your life was back then.

“What are you going to say to him?” Mijung asked softly, as if she knew you were growing more and more nervous as you drew closer.

You shrugged, keeping your eyes out of the window and watching the trees and bushes flash by. “I guess sorry would be a start.”

“Don’t panic,” she reassured. “If he really loves you, he’ll let you in.”

Something told you she wasn’t talking literally.

renaroo  asked:

So your DickBabs commentary is some of the best around, but I was wondering if you might be willing to explain what works about BatCat for you? : )

So, it’s taken me forever to answer this because my life has been ridiculous lately and also I’m terrible sometimes, but! I did not forget about you, dearest of Renas! (To those who don’t know, this post is to celebrate Rena reaching 1000 followers!) So, let’s get down to this:

(Also: Thank you for the compliment on my DickBabs commentary. <3 *hugs*)

So, I think a lot of people spend most of their time talking about why Selina is good for Bruce when they talk about this ship, and there’s definitely a lot to be said there and I’m going to get to that, but I want to start off talking about why I think Bruce is good for Selina, which is a side that I think often gets ignored. (Possibly because Bruce gets such a bad reputation that people can’t believe he could possibly contribute anything positive to a relationship - but that is only true when Bruce is written by terrible writers like Frank Miller, and I firmly ignore that characterization of Bruce.)

So, to get there I’m going to start off talking about this scene, which is one of the most essential Bruce/Selina scenes in my book:

This is from the first issue of Ed Brubaker’s Catwoman run, which I’m sure you already know, but I’m just stating it for the record so that if anyone is reading this post and hasn’t picked up Ed Brubaker’s Catwoman run, consider this my advertisement for it: Go pick up Ed Brubaker’s Catwoman run. You will not be disappointed. (Also… not to beat a dead horse, but… the above scene is the note Ed Brubaker chose to begin his Catwoman run on. Let’s just compare that to how Judd Winick chose to begin his. *moment of silence*)

Anyway, there are a handful of scenes that just define Bruce and Selina to me, that are the first to come to mind when I’m thinking about how I see their dynamic and why I ship them, and this is one of the major ones. Because here’s the thing I think so many people miss: The reason Bruce treats Selina differently than his other antagonists isn’t just because he thinks she looks hot in her costume. It’s because he knows she’s not a villain, at the core of who she is. He thinks she’s a good person, in spite of everything. And that is so, so important.

See, here’s the thing: Selina is someone who’s been underestimated and dismissed for most of her life. She’s been looked down on for her gender, her lower-class background, her history in sex work. And when she has been taken seriously, she’s been perversely appreciated for the bad side of who she is. The few people to really respect her have appreciated her intelligence and skills for how useful she could be to them as a thief. But no one really looked at her and saw her as someone with the potential to be more than a thief. (Not even Holly, although Holly’s relationship with Selina is positive and good for Selina in different ways.) Certainly no one saw her as someone with the potential to be a hero - until Bruce.

And if you’ll forgive me for going into Psychology Major mode for a minute: People will live up or down to expectations. If you’ve been treated all your life as if you can’t be anything but a thief and a troublemaker and someone with purely selfish interests, it’s really hard to believe that you can be anything else. It’s not impossible, and I’d certainly never suggest that Selina never did anything heroic or altruistic until she met Bruce. But it’s hard. Someone believing in you is a really, really powerful thing.

This is something that, for all its faults as a movie, The Dark Knight Rises did get very right about Bruce and Selina’s relationship:

Selina tries to present herself as someone driven purely by selfishness, but Bruce sees through that: “I think there’s more to you than that.” And I think what Selina says in response is so revealing. It’s clearly intended as a denial - saying that if he keeps expecting her to be better, he’ll only keep being let down in response. But it also clearly shows that he’s gotten to her - which is, of course, confirmed by the decisions she makes later in the movie. As much as she wants to pretend it doesn’t, Bruce’s faith in Selina has an effect on her.

The thing is, knowing you’ve let someone down isn’t a pleasant feeling. But it can sometimes be a positive thing. Knowing you’ve let someone down means knowing that they had high expectations for you in the first place. It means someone saw you as capable of making the right decisions, and that’s actually much healthier than knowing you didn’t let anyone down because they never expected anything better of you to begin with.

Bruce is good for Selina because he looks at her and says “I believe that deep down, you’re really a good person.“ Because he looks at her and says ”There’s more to you than that.” And that’s something Selina hasn’t had a lot of in her life, maybe something she’s never had until Bruce comes along. He sees past her bad side and sees her potential to be something better. And instead of letting her off the hook, he challenges her to be the person he knows she’s capable of being. He has faith in her. He believes she can be a hero, and eventually that leads to Selina believing it, too.

(But it’s so, so important to note that Selina doesn’t start acting more heroic for Bruce. She’s not doing it because he wanted it or to make him happy. She does it because it’s right for her. At her heart, Selina is a hero - all Bruce did is see the heroic qualities that were in her all along.)

The second reason I ship them so hard together is: They help each other have fun.

(The comic this panel is from - Catwoman #32 - is basically my all-time Bruce/Selina issue ever, and you’ll definitely be seeing more scans from it in this post.)

Bruce is the one who needs more help in this area, obviously, like he says here. It’s no secret that Bruce is serious and withdrawn even with the people he loves most, and has a tendency to focus on The Mission above everyone else. So it’s a huge deal that he’s playful and mischievous and flirtatious with Selina, because not many people get to see that side of him. And no one brings it out in exactly the way that Selina does. He lets himself relax around her in a way which is really good for him:

(See? I told you we weren’t done with that issue! I love this scene because you so rarely see Bruce - or Selina, for that matter - being so completely relaxed and happy and normal.)

But I think it’s worth noting that Selina always looks like she’s having just as much fun as Bruce is, and I think that’s really good for her, too. I think people tend to forget that as much as Selina is by nature a more playful and flirtatious person than Bruce, she isn’t really a much happier one. She’s had a really hard and lonely life over the years, and that’s why it’s so great to see how genuinely happy she seems with Bruce:

I always love how huge Selina’s smile is in the first panel of this sequence (drawn by the always awesome Cameron Stewart). She’s just having so much fun, and I think that’s really just as good for her as it is for Bruce.

Even when they’re fighting, it’s very often play-fighting more than anything else:

(This scene, which is from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, can be watched here. And it is awesome.)

Look at those smiles. Bruce and Selina just bring out the fun side in each other, and I really love that. You’d never see Bruce smiling like that if he was fighting, say, the Joker. (For good reason.)

This is something Gotham has also gotten very right in their depiction of baby!Bruce and Selina:

SO. FREAKING. CUTE.

AHEM. *is mature*

(By the way: Do you remember a while back when I sent you a message that was basically like “RENA RENA RENA YOU HAVE TO GO WATCH GOTHAM NOW”? It was right after this episode aired.)

I find this scene particularly poignant because this is not long after Bruce’s parents have died, and it’s the first time you really see him having fun, smiling and laughing like that. Frankly, it’s the first time in the show that you see Bruce or Selina acting like normal children. (Even Alfred notices and is forced to approve of Selina!) And even as adults, I think they still bring out that lighthearted side in each other:

Although as this scene shows, what Bruce and Selina consider “fun” might not be what most people consider fun, which bring me to my next point: They just get each other, on a very fundamental level. Partly that’s because they’re very alike, and partly because they’ve come to understand each other over the years. There’s this scene I really wish I could have found - I tried, believe me - where (if I’m remembering correctly) Selina is sneaking into Gotham during the No Man’s Land era, and Bruce knows exactly how she’ll do it - because it’s the same way he would. Bruce and Selina are also very different from each other in certain ways, obviously, but a lot of the time they’re just very in sync like that:

Despite their differences, Bruce and Selina have a lot in common. They’re both highly intelligent and skilled, they’ve both known a lot of tragedy in their lives, they’re both far lonelier than they care to admit. They’re both hesitant to trust people. They both follow a unique moral code that others don’t always understand - though those moral codes are not exactly the same. They’re both highly independent and can be too stubborn for their own good. At their heart, they’re both driven by a very real desire to help other people. And I think they’re similar in a more indefinable way, too. They’re just cut from the same cloth, somehow. They understand each other both instinctively and also, as the years go by, because of the true friendship they’ve formed:

I think that’s something that’s so often overlooked with Bruce and Selina: People look at them and only see the Cat-and-Bat game, the “lovers on opposite sides!” trope, and they overlook the fact that Bruce and Selina are genuinely friends. More than that, despite all the odds, they’ve come to really trust each other over the years. Even though they still disagree over plenty of things, they know they can always turn to each other in a time of need:

I think nothing says more about how much Bruce trusts Selina than the fact that he willingly told her his secret identity - something that I’m not only pretty sure was unheard of for Bruce to do, it’s pretty dang unheard of in the superhero world in general. For a point of comparison, Clark didn’t tell Lois his secret identity until after they were engaged, and whether you think that’s good writing of Clark or not (I don’t, necessarily), it still says something about what a big deal it was for Bruce to trust Selina that way. In the superhero world, telling someone your secret identity is basically the biggest statement of trust you can make.

Bruce telling Selina his secret identity (though I firmly headcanon that she’d figured it out anyway) is a huge statement - and, as he basically says himself here, tantamount to an admission that he wants a real relationship with her. For Bruce to willingly make that leap is huge.

Because of that trust, you see Bruce and Selina really open up to each other in a way that they really don’t with most people, especially other love interests. They’re willing to let themselves be vulnerable and emotionally open. And Bruce is actually vocal about his feelings in a way that you practically never see:

Now, obviously Heart of Hush as a storyline is not without its problematic elements, but I still love this scene. Because Bruce pouring his heart out like that? Bruce basically never does that. Getting an “I love you” out of Bruce is a big deal already, but an entire speech? That says a lot, again, about how much he’s willing to open up to Selina. (Granted, she was pretending to be asleep… but let’s be honest: he most likely knew she was pretending.)

I think it’s also significant that pretty much any time either of them dreams about settling down, or there’s an alternate universe where they do, it shows them ending up married to each other:

I think for both Bruce and Selina, when they imagine living a normal life, they think about having a normal relationship with each other, ending up married. But they think that because they’re not “normal”, they can’t have that - which is a theme going back to the earliest days of their relationship:

(This scene is from Batman #3, which also happens to be the issue where Selina kissed Bruce for the first time.)

Bruce and Selina will never be “just another boy and girl”, and I think they both assume that means they can never have anything resembling an actual committed relationship. The fact that they were starting to take steps in that direction before the reboot was a huge deal for both of them. But I think it’s going to take a lot of character growth for both of them before they realize that they can have an actual relationship without either of them compromising who they are.

One more reason to ship them: Bruce moons over Selina like a little schoolboy. Enough said. ;-)

CONTROL YOUR FACE, BRUCE. You are supposed to be the terrifying personification of justice and the night and you’re acting like an absolute goober.

(And it’s amazing.)

Oh, and Dick approves:

Dick approves so much that Dick is actually the one who encouraged Bruce to tell Selina his secret identity, which, again: Huge frickin’ deal.

It’s not just a “Ha ha, Dick ships it” thing, either. Dick knows Bruce better than pretty much anyone. So the fact that Dick looks at Bruce’s relationship with Selina and says “Yeah, this relationship is good for you”? That says a lot. Because Dick knows what he’s talking about when it comes to Bruce.

Also, they have almost 75 years of history, which is pretty dang cool:

I’m a sucker for history. And theirs is a 75-year-long multimedia history spanning comics, cartoons, live-action TV, movies, and videogames, which just makes it even more amazing.

In conclusion: Have some of my miscellaneous favorite Bat/Cat scenes that I couldn’t find a way to include in this post.

(This is another scene that speaks to how well Selina understands Bruce… and also brings up a very important point about Bruce’s nature that far too many Batman adaptations forget.)

(I did warn you there’d be a lot of scenes from this issue.)

And last but not least:

Yeah. That seems a good note to end this post on.

Hope you enjoyed, sweetheart! (And same goes to anyone else reading this, too!)

Jin

  • “Well. If that’s how you really feel, then maybe we need to take a break from each other.”

You couldn’t fucking believe it. Was he really saying what you thought he was?

Your head began to spin and you could feel yourself starting to panic. You needed to get out of there. You grabbed your keys and a jacket and ran out of your apartment as fast as your legs would carry you, not bothering to shut the door behind you. You kept going for a block or two before stopping next to a convenience store, sitting down on the bench outside and holding your head in your hands.

How could this be happening?? You couldn’t even remember what you’d been fighting about. Something stupid, you were sure of that. You’d lost your temper and blown up at Jin, and now he wanted to break up, and holy shit, what were you supposed to do now? He was the only man you’d ever loved, the only one you could ever imagine yourself being with. You’d been planning to get married. How could you have fucked up the one thing that had managed to go right in your life?

You felt a hand on your shoulder.

“Hey, what the –!”  Fuck.

Jin was standing in front of you, looking as pitiful as you’d ever seen him.

“Y/n……please listen to me. I need you to know that I didn’t mean what I said back at the apartment. I knew I didn’t mean it before I was even finished saying it. You’re the woman I want to marry. I don’t even know what I would do if I lost you. Please. Please forgive me.”

“Please say you’ll stay with me.” His voice wavered as he looked down at you, pleadingly.

You couldn’t stop crying. You couldn’t bring yourself to care. All you could do was nod.

Jin breathed a long, shaky breath out, a look of pure relief breaking out on his face. Pulling you towards him, he wrapped you in a hug so tight you could barely breathe. You never wanted him to let go.

Namjoon

  • “Don’t you understand how important this is to me? There’s more to my life than just us, you know!”

Namjoon had spent the better part of the past four weeks at the recording studio. He was there when you got up for work in the morning, he was there when you went to bed at night, and you hardly ever saw him on the weekends. Sometimes he didn’t even come home to sleep; he just spent the night on the old couch at his studio. The most intimate you’d been with each other in the last month was a quick kiss when Namjoon was on his way out the door.

And yeah, you understood why he was doing this. You understood that he wanted to finish recording his mixtape as soon as possible, and you also understood that something deep inside of him was nagging at him to make it perfect. You admired how hard he was working, and you wanted to support him the whole way through.

You just missed him. You missed sleeping with his arm slung over you. You missed eating at your favorite Mexican place with him. You missed kissing him when he’d just gotten out of the shower and smelled like soap and peppermint shampoo.

So, when he said those words to you? It stung. It stung because he didn’t understand why you were upset. Even more so, it stung because you knew he thought you were being selfish.

At a loss for words, all you could do was stand there, staring at Namjoon with tears welling up in your eyes, your mouth half open in disbelief. Namjoon’s face softened instantly, and you could see that he regretted saying what he did.

“Oh….fuck. Aw, no, y/n, please don’t cry. Shit. I didn’t mean that at all. You know I didn’t. You mean more to me than anything. I just…..I’ve been working towards this for so long. And it’s like…I’m almost there. It’s so close.”

You swallowed, hard. “I know that. And I’m so excited for you. So, so excited and so, so proud of you. I just miss you. I miss us.”

Namjoon stepped closer, slipping his hands around your waist. “Oh, god y/n…..I miss you too. Really.” He let out a shaky breath. “I’m gonna try harder to make more time for us.“

He slid a hand farther down your back, grinning down at you cheekily.

“How does right now sound?”

Yoongi

  • “I said I don’t want to fucking talk about it!!”

You froze. Yoongi had never raised his voice at you like that. Sure, you’d seen him get mad before. Sometimes he even got mad at you. But you had never seen him like this.

You didn’t like it.

Tears stinging at the corners of your eyes, you turned on your heel and went straight to your bedroom, locking the door after you. Leaning against the wall, you ran your hands through your hair, willing yourself not to let the tears fall.

You knew you shouldn’t have pushed him. He’d been so stressed out lately from work, and you’d thought that if you could just get him to talk about it, he would feel better. Usually, Yoongi would give in and vent to you about whatever was bothering him, but this time he just… lost it. He’d never talked to you like that before, and it really upset you.

You heard a soft knock on the door to your bedroom.

“……….Y/n?”

Of course it was Yoongi.

He knocked again, a little louder this time. “Y/n, please open the door. We need to talk.”

Hesitantly, you unlocked the door and sat down on the bed. A beat later, Yoongi entered the room, rubbing his neck sheepishly. You turned your tear-stained face toward him, not looking him in the eye. Yoongi looked visibly upset at seeing that he’d made you cry.

“Can I sit down?” he asked. You nodded, and he moved to sit next to you on the bed. You could tell that he was being deliberately gentle.

A few moments passed before Yoongi finally spoke. “Y/n….. I’m really sorry.” He took a deep breath before continuing, “I should never have yelled at you like that. I don’t know what the fuck’s wrong with me. I don’t know, maybe it’s the lack of sleep, or the late hours at work, or the pressure of this new album – anyway. I know it doesn’t matter. I was way out of line. And I want you to know that I’d never hurt you on purpose. I’m so sorry, y/n.”

You sniffled. “Yoongi. It’s okay. I know you really didn’t mean it. And,” you paused, looking at him pointedly, “I know it’s never going to happen again.”

He nodded, looking serious, but relieved all the same. “Thank you, jagi. I love you so much.” He wrapped an arm around you, pulling you to his chest.

Hoseok

  • “That’s the problem with you! All you ever do is shut me out!”

Your depression had been flaring up again. In the past when you were feeling low, all you wanted was to be alone in your room. Sometimes you’d do nothing for days at a time. It was how you coped, even though it didn’t seem to really make anything better.

As much as it killed you to admit it, deep down, you knew that Hoseok was right. You did shut people out. You were fiercely independent, often to a fault, and Hoseok was earnestly helpful in the same way.  Hoseok always noticed when you were feeling like this. He could be incredibly perceptive when it came to you. When it seemed like you were in a bad place again, he would do everything he could to make you feel better. it was sweet, but it could also be really fucking annoying. All you wanted to do right now was be left alone! Why couldn’t he see that?

You felt terrible for pushing Hoseok away, but you felt even worse that he’d pointed it out to you. Who was he to tell you how you should be feeling? And why couldn’t he stop trying to help for five seconds?

You heard the glass door that led to the balcony of your apartment slide open behind you. You didn’t need to look to know that it was Hoseok.

“Hey.” You didn’t respond.

“So… I know you’re irritated with me, and I know you want to be alone. But, hear me out for just like, thirty seconds.” You hummed, letting him know you were listening.

Hoseok took a deep breath. “I’m sorry for accusing you of shutting me out. It wasn’t fair of me to say that. I know you’re going through a really rough time right now. But listen, jagiya. It kills me to see you hurting like this. But I really think that if you would let me go through this with you, together, it would help you. I just want to be by your side, through the good and the bad.”

You felt like such an ass. Hoseok really did care about you.

You still wouldn’t look at him, but this time it was to hide the tears forming in your eyes. It was no use, though. Hoseok moved closer to you, wrapping you in a big bear hug from behind. You melted into him, letting his touch comfort you. “Okay,” you whispered. “I’ll let you in.”

Jimin

  • “If you like him so much, why don’t you date him instead?”

You couldn’t believe Jimin would even pull this shit on you.

You’d just been promoted at your new job, and one of your coworkers had offered to treat you to drinks tonight to celebrate. Now, normally this wouldn’t be a problem, except it just so happened that this coworker was a man. (A married man, to be specific, whose wife worked in the same office as the two of you and trusted her husband to make friends like a big boy. What a novel concept.)

“Okay, you know what, Jimin? I guess I just won’t go tonight. I guess I’ll just miss out on my plans to celebrate my new job because you’re feeling jealous.” The sarcasm in your voice was practically tangible.

Throwing your purse down, you stormed down the hallway towards your and Jimin’s bedroom.

“And, by the way, Jimin? He’s married. His wife works with us. Do you really think I would cheat on you? And with a married man, no less. But it’s nice to know that you don’t trust me.” You finally reached the end of the hallway, entering the bedroom and slamming the door.

God. How could Jimin even accuse you of something this ridiculous? He knew that you loved him, that you were in love with him. You couldn’t believe he would blow something this insignificant out of proportion like this.

You were just kicking off your heels when you heard the door to your bedroom open. You turned around to see Jimin standing in the doorway, looking hesitant.

“Jimin, I am seriously not in the mood to hear whatever you have to say right now –”

“Y/n, I’m sorry.” Jimin cut you off. “I was an ass. I didn’t know the guy was married, but that’s not even what matters right now.” He took a few steps, bridging the gap between you.

Looking into your eyes, Jimin continued. “I’m sorry I made you think I don’t trust you, because that’s not it, I just….I don’t know. I’m scared you’re going to find someone you like better than me. I dunno. I think about it a lot.”

Your heart was breaking.

“Jimin….I love you. I want to wake up next to you every day for the rest of my life. There’s never going to be anyone else for me.” Placing a hand behind his head, you pulled him in to you and just barely touched your lips to his, hoping to reassure him.

Jimin let out a breathy sigh. “I love you, y/n. Now….get outta here,” he said, handing you your heels.

You hesitated. “Are you sure you’re okay with this?”

Jimin nodded, looking serious. “For real, y/n. Go, have fun! Besides…..” he paused to wink at you. “I’ll be here waiting for you when you get home.”

Taehyung

  • “I’m just not ready for that right now, okay? Stop trying to move so fast!”

You really didn’t expect Taehyung to react this way when you mentioned going to your parents’ house for Christmas this year.

You’d been together for almost a year and he still hadn’t met your family, despite the countless offers you’ve made to introduce him. You didn’t understand what the problem was; you’d met his family on several occasions and even had lunch with his sister now and then. They were as sweet as could be, and you loved them. You wanted Taehyung to have that kind of relationship with your own family, but every time you brought it up, he became visibly nervous and changed the subject.

Little did Taehyung know, you’d decided that this Christmas would be it. You had already called your parents to let them know, and they were so excited to finally meet the man who made their daughter so happy. You couldn’t wait to surprise Taehyung with the news.

Let’s just say he didn’t take it as well as you’d planned.

Taehyung completely freaked out. “Y/n, oh my god, we’ve talked about this! You said we were going to wait before visiting your parents!”

This made you even more exasperated than you already were. “No, Tae, you know what? We haven’t talked about it. You have never once given me an actual reason why you don’t want to come home with me! Are we not serious?! Do you not want to be a part of my family, like the way I am with yours?”

Taehyung’s huffy expression disappeared, and was replaced by one of slight embarrassment. “That’s the problem,” he muttered.

“What?” you asked, confused.

Taehyung looked up at the ceiling. “I’m afraid that they won’t like me, okay?” he said quietly. “I’m loud, and too hyper, and not serious enough. I’m worried they won’t think I’m enough of an adult to be with their daughter.”

You thought you could feel your heart shattering into a million pieces. “Oh….Tae.” That was all you could say. You opened your arms, feeling Taehyung lean into you, just letting you hold him.

“Taehyung…..they’re going to love you, because I love you. But if you don’t give them the chance, you’ll never find out. Please, do this for me. Please come home with me for Christmas.” A few beats passed before you heard a muffled “……Okay.” against your shoulder.

Jungkook

  • “I don’t have to consult you every time I want to do something!”

It was after two in the morning when you finally heard Jungkook unlock the door to the apartment you shared. You were laying in bed staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep without Jungkook beside you.

Jungkook opened the door to your bedroom, his movements slow and deliberate. He probably thought you were sleeping.

“Where have you been?” Your voice startled Jungkook, causing him to run into the wall.

“Ow! Y/n, you scared me!” Rubbing his arm from where he’d bumped the doorframe, he continued, “I was out with the boys. It’s Yoongi’s birthday.”

You crossed your arms. “Why didn’t you tell me you were going to be out so late?”

Jungkook huffed. “Um? Sorry, I didn’t realize you were the boss of me? Am I not allowed to hang out with my friends anymore?”

You couldn’t believe what he was saying. “Holy shit Jungkook, I’m not mad that you went out with your friends! I’m mad because you weren’t answering your phone! I’m mad because you didn’t even think to let me know you’d be out this late! I was worried sick about you! And if you don’t get that, I guess you really just don’t understand me.” Grabbing your pillow and a throw blanket, you went into the hallway. “I’m sleeping on the couch tonight.”

You lay on the couch, feeling lonely and a little cold. Was Jungkook really accusing you of being controlling? You didn’t care what Jungkook did as long as you knew he was safe. You never told him to blow off the boys to spend time with you. You loved them as much as he did, and you even joined them sometimes. You were only mad because you were worried that something had happened to Jungkook tonight.

Soft footsteps padded down the hallway. You felt the opposite end of the couch sink.

“……Y/n?” It was Jungkook.

“Hey, y/n, listen.” You didn’t move to look at him, but Jungkook knew you were listening. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you where I was tonight. We didn’t even think we were gonna be out that late. I should have called you.” He hesitated.

“And I’m also sorry that I called you controlling. I know you aren’t. You’re so good to me. I’m so sorry I made you worry.”

Sitting up from your makeshift bed on the couch, you leaned into Jungkook. “It’s okay,” you said. “I may have overreacted a little bit. I know you won’t do it again.”

Jungkook kissed your forehead. “Thanks for being so sweet, y/n. Now…..” He got to his feet, picking you up bridal-style. “How about we get you back into the bedroom?”

I don’t know what to say about all these pictures of Sans with a glowing penis…… Why. just Why. xD
everytime I see a pic like this, I just can’t take it seriously.
to me, if he really had this “thing”, he would only make stupid things with it like… idk, being a lamp. yeah.
and then he would probably make an epilepsy because of it xD
but Hey, I’m not juging. do whatever you like. (even if drawing a skeleton with a glowing penis is a liiiittle weird. Just a little.)

I’m sorry the quality is terrible… I draw with my 3ds (and as you can see, the quality is bad) and I make the animation with my phone so… I don’t use very professional stuff xD but you get the idea-

anonymous asked:

Like do u hate felicity bc she took laurels spot? Like cmon the chemistry between Stephen and KATIE just did not exist. It was bad. Like I love laurel, she was so much better apart. Also I'm sorry but Emily's acting is 100000x better than Katie's, katie is a brick. I'm not TRYNA hate but I just wanna understand why you're so hateful towards one female character? Why not just support both?

For starters, I don’t think Felicity “took Laurel’s spot.” The only character that exists to take Laurel’s spot is “Dinah Drake” and I have problems with that for reasons I’ve listed time and time again (and especially, most recently in a post that probably hasn’t escaped the first page of my blog).

As for Felicity, there are a laundry list of reasons why I stopped enjoying the character. She’s a “reset to factory default settings” kind of character in that she’s one-dimensional and isn’t allowed to grow or evolve beyond what and who we’ve known her to be (which I think is a result of the writers thinking they’ve struck gold with her and don’t need to develop her). For a character to be that way, and get the level of attention/focus/screentime that she pulls week to week, it’s frustrating. There have been multiple instances where the writers have given her a great story, and chosen to do nothing with it, for example, when Felicity was attacked by Darhk and ended up in a wheelchair, the writers didn’t use it to propel her down an interesting, and character-building arc, instead they had a magical chip that restored her ability to walk and she was made to be completely fine — restored to factory default settings. I also find her to lack empathy, and empathy is a quality I admire in characters of fiction and people in real life, so it’s hard to relate to someone who refuses to put themselves in someone else’s shoes to understand their actions and their choices and somehow makes it all about themselves instead (eg. the entire situation with Samantha Clayton, and Oliver’s son). I think her storyline in Season 3 ruined her for me, specifically in her treatment of Ray. I will never understand how she could have played with his feelings like that and talked to Oliver as though she would drop Ray like a bag of shit the second he was willing to give in to his feelings for her (which she kind of ended up doing anyway). And to refuse telling Ray that she doesn’t love him, and has feelings for Oliver, but to still rock up at his place of business and be like, “hey can I borrow a jet?” And ya’ll can say “yeah but it was to save Thea” but she was like “lol let Thea die, it’s not worth it, Oliver.” Her entire romantic relationship with Oliver was forced and rushed and the feelings were fabricated for plot-purposes at the beginning of Season 3, and so it was impossible for me to enjoy them as a couple (and yes, it’s important to bring up because Felicity was basically just a love interest for Season 3 and Season 4). I also hate the fact that we’ve seen no fucking long-term consequences and/or guilt for her nuking Havenrock and for her losing Billy Malone. Ten thousand innocent lives are dead because of her, and she was guilt-ridden for a single scene in Season 5. And we had to see another shot of Emily Bett Rickards “trying to cry” over losing Billy, but we never got the time to invest in that relationship, and she never seems to acknowledge it in a real, human way but instead can use it as a way to justify being pushed into Helix? Again, it ties back to her being a “reset to default factory settings.” And most importantly, I hate that she never has to earn anything on the show — she never had to earn her job at Palmer Tech, or earn becoming CEO, she never had to earn being the main love interest of the show and that development is literally non-existent, she never had to earn being somewhat competent in the field to take on the League of Assassins or the Ghosts, or whoever else she’s fought, and in a show about earning your role as a hero and facing a crucible to become something else, she’s literally done shit all to get to where she’s been. And look, I was a huge fan of her in the first season. But I remember slowly getting sick of it in S2 because her dynamic, and her role was growing very stale. I know people like to think it’s because I’m a Laurel fan, and a Lauriver fan, but it’s not true. The reason I don’t like Felicity Smoak, in a nutshell, is because I fundamentally disagree with how she is written and until the writing changes to fix the issues that I have, there’s no way I can “support her.” But that’s the beauty of the world — we don’t all share the same opinion, and you coming into my inbox trying to say “support both” whilst not-so-subtly dragging Katie Cassidy… it’s not incentive for me to agree.

I hope that answered the first part of your question.

On the topic of terrible acting, my initial problem with Emily Bett Rickards was the way she spoke her lines — it often felt like she was reading off a script, and they were very monotonous and almost robotic. Moments where it felt a little better was when she was able to have some personality behind it, and/or some passion. And then it felt like she was improving (specifically the “keep fighting” scene in S2). But it’s still how she delivers the lines, and so I’m not a big fan of it. And beyond that, I don’t think she’s cut out to do serious and dramatic scenes that involve extreme emotions, like being distraught. As funny of a meme the “No, Ray, Olibur” thing is, it comes from a place of how awful the acting and the writing was in that scene to the point where it’s comical. But she’s great at comedy, and she’s great at being the comedic relief. I just don’t think she’s mastered the art of doing serious drama. I mean, did you see the episode of Legends where they tried to make her a superhero? Anyway, you opened the floor on discussing acting ability and so I thought I’d share as well :)

Now, onto the chemistry part of the question. Chemistry is subjective. You don’t see it for Laurel and Oliver – that’s fine! Frankly, when I look at Oliver and Felicity, it’s kind of awkward. She looks way too young for him, or he looks way too old for her, or maybe it’s both. And the truth is, I don’t see romantic chemistry between them. I see that it’s written in the script for them to kiss and say “I love you”, and that’s how it feels. Scripted. Forced. I like the kind of chemistry that isn’t one-dimensional. I like that Laurel and Oliver can fight, and scream and have conflict and drama because they’re mature about it and it feels real and it feels like there’s all this history between them that bubbles up to the surface during those heated moments. I like that when they are together, romantically, it feels and looks like they belong and all that history has culminated in something beautiful and logical. I like that when they’re friends, you see a gentle side to them and a platform that was established and that will hold through anything. I don’t get that with Felicity and Oliver (mostly because the writing for them never warranted the relationship in the first place, but also because of the romantic chemistry lacking). But as I said, it’s subjective. You think Katie is a brick when she acts? Fine. I think Emily has very limited range and a lack of experience that shows in close to every episode. Each to their own.

(I do want to say, though, that despite not being a fan of one’s acting ability, I have nothing against Emily Bett Rickards personally and actively do my part to make sure people from the LL don’t direct hate towards her on Twitter, which is more that I can say for the Olicity fandom that targets Katie)

Now, the reason I don’t and can’t support both is because I’m not willing to overlook serious flaws and spend my time on my blog being fake. If you go all the way back through my blog, you’ll see that I used to be a fan of both and I used to adore Felicity Smoak. I don’t anymore (for some of the reasons I mentioned above). Hope that answered your questions!

Every blog always has a what if mc was a kpop star or was a amazing singer...how would the rfa and v and unknown react if mc was tone deaf and sounded like nails on a chalkboard(mostly because I'm the worst singer ever, btw I love your blog :3 )

Okay but that’s literally me too! My singing voice is so awful too so I feel you lol! I’m sorry it took me so long to write this but I hope that you like it!! :D

Yoosung

  • Yoosung was off in his room playing games like usual so you decided to take a shower
  • He won yet another round of LOLOL and took a little break
  • When he took his headphones off, Yoosung heard what sounded like someone screeching to a song from in the bathroom
  • Yoosung shuddered at the horrible noise and assumed that it was a song that you were playing from your phone
  • When you got out of the shower, you walked into the kitchen to find Yoosung making some dinner
  • “Hey MC what was song were you listening to in the shower? And who was the singer, they were awful!” Yoosung asked you
  • You turned your head in embarrassment and awkwardly answered “Uh that was me singing Yoosung.”
  • He immediately feels so bad and runs over to hug you almost crying as he says “I’m so so so sorry MC! You weren’t that bad, really! I’m just a little tired from gaming and I probably didn’t really understand what I was listening to, please forgive me!”
  • You told him that it was alright and that you wouldn’t try to sing as loudly anymore
  • But Yoosung still felt horrible and made your favorite dinner for you and kept reassuring you that you weren’t really that bad of a singer

Zen

  • Zen was practicing his script for a new musical that he was starring in with you - He had a long singing part that he was excited about
  • Zen had the voice of an angel and you loved listening to him practice
  • Once he finished practicing for his solo song, Zen asked for you to practice a duet song with him
  • He started singing the first part and when it was your turn, you sang your heart out to try and be as good as Zen
  • You finished singing your part and looked at Zen excited to hear what his opinion was on your singing - Zen’s eyes went wide, how could someone as perfect as you have such a terrible singing voice?
  • “So how did I do Zen?” You asked him - He blinked a couple of times and forced a smile saying “Your singing voice is uh good MC.”
  • You smiled brightly and hugged him, telling him how excited you were that Zen approved of your singing voice
  • Zen smiled and hugged you back, there was no way he could tell you how awful your singing voice was
  • “Hey MC, how about I give you some singing lessons to make your voice even better!” Zen told you
  • You happily agreed and Zen sighed in relief
  • Even though your singing voice was atrocious, Zen taught you some basic skills and over time it got slightly better
  • Zen just made sure not to let you sing in public for both your own sake and his

Jaehee

  • You and Jaehee were closing up the cafe for the night after a long day
  • You were cleaning up the cups while Jaehee was sweeping the floor
  • Jaehee was singing in a small voice and your eyes lit up when you heard her
  • You knew the song she was singing so you decided to join in and sing in your best voice
  • Well your best singing voice was simply terrible and Jaehee jumped when she heard you sing - “MC… What in the world was that?” Jaehee asked cautiously
  • You smiled and said “That was me singing silly! You have a great singing voice Jaehee, we should sing together sometime!”
  • Jaehee sighed and decided to state the obvious and say “MC, your singing voice isn’t very good. But mine isn’t either so let’s not sing together.”
  • You frowned a little but agreed saying “Yeah I guess you’re right. We can just listen to Zen sing in one of his musicals instead!”
  • Jaehee smiled in relief and nodded saying that she wholeheartedly agreed with you
  • So for he rest of the night and Jaehee cuddled on the couch and watched Zen’s musicals, neither of you singing along
  • Jaehee was silently relieved that you took the news about your singing voice so well and decided that she would tell you all about your good qualities instead

Jumin

  • After another long, stressful day of work, Jumin was looking forward to coming home
  • On his way home, he thought about how he wanted to have a nice dinner with you and just cuddle each other for the rest of the night
  • Jumin walked in to the penthouse and the sound of someone’s singing was heard
  • He thought that his ears would bleed from the horrendous singing so Jumin went to find the source
  • Jumin was left almost speechless when he saw that the horrible singing was coming from you
  • You were laying down on the bed singing in your ‘unique’ singing voice to Elizabeth the 3rd
  • “MC, what’s wrong with your voice?” Jumin asked startling you and Elizabeth the 3rd
  • You smiled saying “I’m just singing a little song for Elizabeth the 3rd! We were both waiting for you to come home and got bored.”
  • Jumin gave you a confused look and said “I don’t understand. Your singing voice is appalling but it seems like Elizabeth the 3rd enjoyed it. She doesn’t even like it when I sing to her…”
  • You pouted and said “Hmph, well maybe my singing voice is better than yours Jumin! I bet you’re an awful singer too, sing something for me.”
  • When you heard Jumin sing, everything became right in the world
  • Jumin smiled when he saw your surprised look and pulled you in for a hug
  • From that night on, you had Jumin sing you to sleep every night since his singing voice was perfection
  • But Jumin still thought that even though your voice was awful, he always had you sing for Elizabeth the 3rd since she seemed to like your singing voice better than his for some very strange reason

Seven

  • You and Seven were bored one night and decided to go out for a karaoke night for something new and fun
  • Seven was extremely hyped when the two of you got there and immediately started searching for duet songs for the two of you to sing
  • Once he found the perfect song, Seven dragged you onto the stage to sing
  • It was some cheesy romance song and it was fun until it was time for your part to sing
  • Never in his life did Seven hear someone sing so horribly and the rest of the crowd agreed
  • Some people started booing you and telling you how terrible your singing voice was
  • When Seven saw you on the verge of tears, he grabbed the microphone and started singing in the worst voice that he could come up with
  • Everyone’s attention was now focused on Seven who then told him how awful of a singer he was
  • He had enough of the rude people and took your hand and lead you back to his car
  • “Why did you do that Saeyoung? I mean I know that I’m not a great singer, but I didn’t realize that I was that bad.” You sad sadly to Seven
  • Seven scratched the back of his neck and said “Well no offense, but your singing voice is kind of… bad. But there’s no way I’m letting those people get away with saying those mean things about you. They’re going to be destroyed by the Defender of Justice!”
  • So that night, Seven went through and hacked into all of the obnoxious audience member’s accounts and essentially ruined them for making fun of you
  • When he was finished, Seven told you all kinds of jokes to make you feel better and he said that he could use your terrible singing voice as a weapon against the other RFA members when they wouldn’t listen to him
  • You agreed because who couldn’t say no to this adorable dork?

V

  • You and V were doing some spring cleaning mostly cleaning out his thousands of pictures that he’s taken
  • V was in the other room tidying up and humming to himself in his own little world
  • But he was rudely awakened when he heard some kind of terrible singing
  • He assumed that you were playing some kind of music and went to investigate
  • V’s eyes widened when he heard the awful singing wasn’t coming from some one else, but it was coming from you
  • “Is something wrong V?” You asked as he continued to stare at you
  • “Was that you singing just now MC?” V questioned
  • “Yes it was! Why? Was it really that bad?” You asked nervously
  • V smiled telling you no that your voice was beautiful and he was just surprised was all
  • There was no way this angel could break your heart and tell you that your singing was horrible, no matter how bad it really was
  • So for the rest of the day, you sang in your awful voice to V and he only smiled, telling you how good you were
  • At the end of the day you had finally convinced V to sing a little something for you
  • And when you heard him sing, you told him that you would rather him sing than you since he was clearly much better
  • V had never been so thankful in his life at your request

Unknown

  • Saeran was acting moodier than usual today and that was saying something
  • You felt bad for him since he seemed more sad than anything else so you thought of some ways to cheer Saeran up
  • You grabbed him some ice cream and sat down on the couch with him handing him a spoon
  • Saeran started to feel a little bit better so when he was done, you made him lay down on the bed to cuddle with him
  • You laid behind Saeran, stroking his hair and he seemed to be calming down
  • That was until you thought it would be a good idea to sing a little song to help him fall asleep
  • Saeran sat straight up when he heard your terrible singing and gave you a strange look
  • “MC, what the hell was that?”
  • “I was just trying to sing you a little song to help you fall asleep since you seem kind of upset… I’m sorry if I did something to upset you.” You said sadly to Saeran
  • He sighed and said “Well yeah your singing voice sucks. It’s worse than Saeyoung’s laugh.”
  • You were about to get up and leave him alone but Saeran grabbed your arm and pulled you back onto the bed
  • “Your singing voice may be awful but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be with you. Sorry if I hurt your feelings and thanks for trying to make me feel better.” Saeran mumbled
  • You had always made Saeran feel better because of your kind heart but Saeran made a mental note not to ask you to sing for him ever again
  • Unless it was to make Seven go crazy
