"You’ve said you’re going to leave, but I don’t want you to go and if I don’t say something now…" with Beast Boy doing the leaving would be incredible :o Congrats again to the #1 BBRae fan~
DID YOU MEAN ANGST, AMI?
I apologize in advance. This is going to be tragic.
What was she doing there?
It was painfully obvious how much she didn’t belong.
Raven was not welcome, not outside of Beast Boy’s room, and most certainly not at such a time like this. Yet, it was as if her own body had betrayed her mind, her feet leading her to his door in the dead of night, all the while the rest of the tower was fast asleep.
She had no right of it, and of all her teammates, she had the least amount of authority to sway the changeling’s mind.
In fact, the empath had spent weeks avoiding Beast Boy as much as possible, keeping him at arm’s length even more than usual. While the other Titans moped about, heartbroken, and dispirited, pleading to convince him otherwise, Raven told herself that she believed in his decision. It was his to make, and his alone, and she could respect that. So, she remained impassive on the matter, and for the first time in a long time, Beast Boy was content with her rather cold resolve.
So then, why, oh why, was she standing outside of his door on his very last night in the tower? Why were her hands, now balled into tight fists, shaking at her sides? Why was she trembling with emotions she could barely keep contained? Why was she clinging to a tiny thread of hope, that she could somehow find a way to convince him to stay?
[this got long, so the rest is under the cut!]
