Inter-House Friendships #4
  • *watching a scary movie*
  • Hufflepuff: *curled in a blanket burrito with just their eyes visible*
  • Gryffindor: *shoveling popcorn into their mouth with eyes glued to the screen*
  • Slytherin: *trying desperately to keep cool but is halfway into Hufflepuff's lap*
  • Ravenclaw: *flails wildly when scary things happen and accidentally kicks everyone at least twice*

idk if this has been done yet, but Yuuri and Victor would definitely play the floor is lava, and it’s just great

  • Victor comes across it one day because of Phichit’s instagram and decides to play it with Yuuri
  • (Phichit was playing with Leo and Guang one day, making short compilation videos of every time Phichit yelled “the floor is lava”. In one video Guang was caught jumping onto Leo’s back, while Leo runs and attempts to hold onto a tree. They both fall before it’s deemed safe, and Phichit can be heard losing it when the camera zooms in on the two who are laying there)
  • It’s harmless when Victor first does it. It just mostly involves a confused Yuuri who just looks at victor and questions if he’s recording. Victor tells him twice more that the floor is lava, and finally Yuuri gets it, taking 3 seconds to climb onto the nearest table.
  • Victor does this 3 more times before Yuuri starts doing it back
  • When Yuuri does it, they’re at a meet, and he totally does not say it loudly into a mic for everyone to hear.
  • (Yuuri actually does)
  • “The floor is lava” is all that it takes for people to start panicking. Victor is panicking. The camera man is panicking, Yurio is confused, a little scared and a little angry at the circumstances. He doesn’t understand. However, everyone who does know what’s going on are climbing onto everything and onto each other, and Victor can be found koala latching onto a pole.
  • Yuuri totally does not comment on it when they’re back home
  • (he does)
  • Because of this event, the video editors had to ask if news networks wanted this edited out, but the people were like “keep it.” and they did.
  • That one video gets all over the internet btw and from that one video, Yurio becomes a meme:
  • Whenever they’re at home, Yuuri will come into the room saying that the floor is lava when Victor is doing whatever, and if Makkachin is there, he will include him, encouraging him to get on the couch with him
  • Yuuri loves watching the videos where Victor involves Makkachin, and giving him treats when Makkachin get’s onto the couch before Victor does
    • End.
”Why do you want them to come out so badly, anyways?“

I DID MY WAITING
TWELVE YEARS OF IT

OK so I know I’m like the only person on Tumblr still playing Neko Atsume, but today’s update freaks me out a little bit.  There’s one new rare cat, and he’s called Whiteshadow.  His “type” is not the usual like, grey, or calico, or whatever… no, it’s NINJA COSTUME!!!

Also, I saw him as soon as I opened the app a few minutes ago, standing on a fence in the yard, not anywhere I’ve ever seen one of the cats before, just standing there staring, not on any of the spots where the toys and stuff go.

I thought it was odd and a little spooky; I took a couple pictures of him, looked at them on his page, and went back to the yard.  He was gone just like that, in like three seconds, and instead of fish he left three cans of cat food???  Which since I don’t use that kind of cat food and already had 99 cans of it meant I got nothing, really??

Then I looked closer at his profile page…  Under “goodies”, he doesn’t use any “goodies” like the other cats… no, he just goes on “scouting missions”.  Who is he scouting for?  Is someone about to take over the yard??  Am I becoming paranoid over a simple silly game about cute cats???  (…yes)

This game is just trying to see how far it can go at this point and still keep crazy addicted users like me…

I need to tell myself at this point: you idiot there are starving children in the world… stop wasting your time playing and worrying about this ridiculous game… but then I think… I can’t neglect the cats!!!  oh my g this is pathetic I need a life and a real hobby…

You know, this episode highlighted once more and in many big and small ways why I love Dean as a character so much. Not that I needed any kind of new reminder for why that is but “Regarding Dean” spelled all the reasons out so boldly and beautifully that it just makes me all kinds of emotional.

Because the key aspect about this episode wasn’t that Dean would be happier without some of the memories and the baggage of what he and his family has been through. Sure, their life would have been much easier and much less grim without some of the tragedies they have experienced, but it’s those experiences - good and bad - that made them who they are and that made Dean who he is. Yes, he may have coping mechanisms that’s aren’t all too healthy and he has suffered tremendously and dislikes what he sees when he looks in the mirror at times - but one could argue he prefers that to looking in the mirror and not knowing who is looking back at him at all.

The important thing is that he is still standing and that he knows that all those things that he did and that happened to him should not be erased, because they shaped him, made him who he is. And yes, I’d say made him stronger. Made him a survivor.

And Dean may not have verbalized it that often, but if there was one thing I took away from this episode in neon bright letters it’s that Dean knows that he needs all of his memories - good and bad - to be himself (and yes, even if that sounds contradictory) and to be happy. Because while Dean sure hasn’t had it easy for large stretches of his life, there is one thing that he has always managed to preserve, to save and keep alive: his inner child.

This episode showed that wonderfully and made a huge point about innocence. He may have been forced to grow up way too fast, but he was able to hold on to some of his childlike glee like a safety blanket. Whether it’s him getting excited about a giant slinky, a farting pillow or boldly admitting to loving watching “Finding Nemo” or “Finding Dory” and not feeling self conscious about that (cause there’s nothing to be ashamed of or self conscious about). It’s these small things that speak volumes.

And even though the ending montage was bitter sweet and sad due to how it spelled out the innocence of a lost childhood, Dean’s lost childhood, there is one thing to remember: That childhood, that kid is still well and alive inside of Dean - inside his heart - and sometimes it may need 4 shots of tequila to dare to come out and run free, but ultimately Dean wasn’t hexed when he decided to try and ride a mechanical bull. That was all Dean. No spell. Just a guy having fun and being happy. And so with all of the baggage he has. And frankly, I love Dean exactly for that, for who he is. With all of his flaws, his bad decisions, his darkness but also his vulnerability, his ability to love and his childlike glee.

“How to Write an Ending”

Part 1, the Set-Up: The pieces are put in place for the final battle.

Part 2, the Pay-Off: The fanservice is shoved in so that the hero’s adventures over the story can pay off, the story climaxes at this part.

Part 3, the Finale: The evil is defeated and the story is wrapped up.

Part 4, Lesbian Marriage: two fan-favorite gay girls get married

Small dump of random ideas I have on improving Fates’ plot in general

Because I’ve had these ideas for quite a while now, and it’s extremely unlikely that I get around to doing anything with them any time soon.

  • An explanation of what Valla actually is: My idea is that it was originally an entire country between Hoshido and Nohr, at the place where during the main story the Bottomless Canyon is. When Anankos went mad and rampaged, the magic energy involved created a rift between Hoshido and Nohr in the form of the canyon, while transporting Valla into this “floating island dimension”.
  • Explaining how the royal families of Hoshido and Nohr came to be/got their “dragon blood”: The divine dragons of Hoshido and Nohr (y’know, the ones depicted in the statues) could for example have chosen to permanently assume a mortal human form instead of risking to go insane like Anankos. They could have founded the royal families.
  • Replace the curse on Valla with something else: Instead of causing everybody who talks about Valla to “disappear” for vague reasons, they curse could cause everybody not from Valla simply constantly forget about it whenever they mention it (unless they’re IN Valla). For the main story, this’d mean that Azura and the avatar are the only characters capable of remembering the place because of their heritage.
    • In the backstory, this curse could be justified by the people of Valla starting the curse to prevent Hoshido and Nohr from attacking them - ‘cause let’s face it, having Anankos do that kind of rampage would mean that Hoshido and Nohr would damn well want to kill him.
  • Give Mikoto a bigger role by having her actually live past the prologue chapters: If those first couple of chapters are really kept the same, she could just fall into a ~~magical coma~~ from which she’d wake up either halfway or towards the end of the game, so that she only sees what the avatar decided on a while after it happened.
  • Give Garon a better role: Namely, don’t make him an undead slime monster, and let him act like an actual person instead of a generic villain. He could for example be still alive and well in theory, but at the same time be corrupted/possessed by Anankos.
    • On that note, the entire dynamic between Garon and Iago could be like that Theoden and Grima in Lord of the Rings, in that Iago is a servant of Anankos who’s making sure that Garon is under his control.
    • And related to the above, Yukimura could be repurposed into a villain another servant of Anankos on the side of Hoshido with Kotaro as his lackey. That could also help Hoshido being less of a “~~uwu sweet cinnamon peace nation~~* and be more morally even with Nohr.
      • On a rewritten Conquest, Yukimura could also basically lead Hoshido into war under the guise of acting on Mikoto’s orders.
  • Give the sisters legendary weapons.
    • Seriously, just do it.
    • I don’t give a shit if that means that the Yato’d have to have eight traffic lights on it for being powered up by each individual one, just do it.
    • Camilla wouldn’t even have to get an original one, she could just inherit Bölverk from Garon with the story noting that Xander originally was supposed to get it, but Garon saw that he was shit with axes while Camilla was great with them, so she got it instead.

Ha ok, this is based off of this joke from Gravity Falls, the idea just came to me while I tried to fall asleep one night and wouldn’t leave me alone so!

Also bonus morning after:

Yes. Yes he did. And it’s all your fault, Missy.
